Gabriel smirked slightly at Talen's comment. "Because it's my job, to smooth out the rough stuff." He said as he leaned over and closed the door. He bowed his head towards Talen before putting his foot on the gas and disappearing down the road. His car seemed to vanish just before he turned around the corner.
Meanwhile, Abel cleaned Yanmei's house. Despite her ordering him to stop, and even physically trying to hide all cleaning items from him, he somehow managed to get around everything and clean more. Eventually Mei had given up and taken to sitting outside with her three dogs. Her hands played with her cell phone as she stared at the gray sky.
Zeus lay his head against her lap while Hades and Hercules played in the yard. She jumped when Abel suddenly opened the front door. He walked to her and sat down next to her, still holding a damp cloth in his hand and a bottle of window cleaner in the other.
"I think I got everything..." He said slowly, his eyes were distant and unfocused as he seemed to look at her.
((Haha I figured I'd put some more there...instead of Gabriel just leaving. ;p ))

((Ah! They changed stuff... again... hahaha, I feel all old when I come on this site. OLD, I SAY.))
Talen waved Gabriel off as he drove away and seemed to vanish, car and all. Talen wouldn't put it past the man, or his car. Smiling and shaking his head he made his way up the stairs to his sister's house, pulling his cell phone from his pocket as he did so. He flipped it open and ran his thumb over the keys thoughtfully, and still staring intently at his screen he pushed his way through the front door.
Whomever he had been planning to call would have to be put on hold because Alice quickly pounced upon him as he stepped inside. David was not far behind, his little face beaming with a big smile.
"WE'RE MAKING A CAKE!" He shouted.
Alice turned to shush him and then glared at Talen, and then around him. She frowned and pushed herself behind him.
"Nice to see you too!" He said laughing, and bending down he scooped up his nephew into his arms.
"I thought ABEL would be with you..." She turned back and closed the door after them. "And we're not ready on this end yet."
Talen laughed, a bit unceartainly. "He'll be by later."
"What's wrong." Alice said quickly.
Talen jolted a little and avoided her eyes. "Nothing. Woah. NOTHING." He put on an easy smile and distracted himself with tickling his nephew. "Are you about done? I can... you know, call 'em over?"
"Mei and Abel and who? I need to set the table! Who all is COMING."
"Uh..." Talen bounced David a little on his hip.
"Gabby!" David said.
Talen smiled. "Check."
"Dad and mommy." David also said.
"Check and check."
"Me and Tal and.... Saul and Lily AND LEAH."
"Check and check and.... that's it."
David blinked. "Why-" He started, but Talen was already moving on.
"I'll call everyone, you guys just finish up, huh?"
And without missing a beat began calling those he needed to.
((dun dun dun... dun dun dun... yeah!))

Mei watched Abel silently as he rung his hands together and stared out past the yard. When he finally spoke again Mei twitched in surprise.
"Mei, do you think...something is happening to me?" His blue eyes shifted towards her. Mei frowned and quickly looked away. "You'd tell me. Right?"
The phone ringing was like a blessing. Mei jumped to pull it from her pocket, feeling relieved that it was taking her away from answering Abel's question.
"Hey!" She said with a bit too much enthusiasm. "You get home okay? Gabriel didn't hurt you or anything?" She added with her usual sense of humor.
