It didn't take long for Remus to spot the aforementioned somethings on the rocks. He squinted his eyes, trying to get a look at what they could be. He had seen a number of alien creatures, but he couldn't seem to identify these from the distance they were. One of his hands slowly crept down to the side of his thigh and wrapped around the grip of his pistol.

A word of warning: in this battle, when you reach 0 HP or critical condition, you're not knocked out. The Sirens take you. Well, mentally. You'll see what I mean.))
The creatures perched atop the rocks locked onto the vessel beneath them. Two indistinct shapes dove into the water, approaching Remus and Kaok with great speed.
The Sirens were different than their mythological counterparts. Appearing to a bystander as hazy, vaguely humanoid blurs, Emperor and Faun would each see something different.
Their song was a background melody, squeezing its way through the cracks in their resolve and winding itself around their minds.

Mental wards from - what seemed - a long time ago that the Enchantress had helped her with were coming in handy now. And originally they had been to protect her from herself and her own thoughts.
She made a mad swipe at the siren, focused on little else but the fight.

Remus' pistol hung loosely in his hands. He couldn't bring himself to fire at such lovely creatures. Remus leaned dangerously over the side of the boat, letting the songs allure him.

They drew closer, one reaching out towards Remus even as he leaned over the side. Fingers that seemed delicate from one angle and clawed from another caressed his cheek, the song still vibrating in the air around.

Those old barriers were fighting, but the song broke through and her sword was lowered. She didn't want to hurt them, they were too kind, too soft and warm... a-and they'd promised to give her all of the adoration that she'd never got as a child.

Remus couldn't take it anymore. The Imperator, who could stand against the mightiest fleets and armies, was taken down by an alluring song. Remus let go of his pistol and fell forward into the siren's deadly embrace with a splash.

As Remus' captor dragged him deeper into the water, the other approached Kaok, taking on more masculine characteristics as it came out of the water.

The splash reached her ears, and fortunately not long after the wards won out.

((I'm going to be gone for a little bit. I'll be back in an hour or so.))
The machine part of Remus kicked in and snapped him out of it. Realizing his situation, Remus made a desperate attempt to struggle free of his captor. Reaching for the surface of the water and managed to grab his fiance's hand. Remus kicked at the creature who had a grip on him and was able to break loose. With Kaok's help, he managed to pull himself back into the boat. Remus rolled onto the deck, sputtering and coughing.

The Sirens screeched in anger as Remus was torn from them and Kaok shook off the spell. The song stopped, turning into a furious keening, now bringing pain instead of pleasure.
Somehow, the boat beneath them understood, and sped away from the creatures, out into the open water again.

This is not a fun place.
Kaok made sure that Remus could breathe properly before she even noticed that was boat was moving again.

Remus sat up and spat over the side to get the taste of seawater out of his mouth.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little shook up." he reassured. "You really saved my a** back there....I don't know what happened."
Remus took off his coat, boots and socks. He hung them on the rail of the boat to dry out.
"Water is so much worse than space..." he remarked.

Another eye-searingly bright flash of silver-streaked blue lit up the horizon, illuminating the grayish sky.
But those flashes were getting weaker every time.
The boat seemed to flounder aimlessly. Remus and Kaok didn't know where they were going, so neither did their vessel.
