Senji Nakamura Chuunin | Speed | Strength | Less Elements | Tactless | Espionage Specialist XXXxxxx The man went for the sword on his back, however his timing was a bit off. His strike connected with the larger guy's body, but it wasn't in the way he wanted it to. Before he knew it, Senji was caught and thrown towards the seat of the carriage. The toss was sturdy and definitely not something he could ignore in the future, there was no doubt about the large man's strength. That was good, Senji after all was a lot stronger than his small frame portrayed him to be. As he flew towards the seat, Senji planted both hands firmly where his chest was about to land, vaulting himself over the chair on to the other side with the momentum as he performed a five-point roll to his feet in order to face his opponent. Within the maneuver as his body turned in the roll he withdrew two shuriken, tossing them simultaneously at the man's right shoulder the moment he was on his feet. His intention was to injure his sword hand, having heard behind him and now seen the powerful strike that was meant for him crack and splinter the chair in two. It was something he would like to avoid at all costs.
The back of his leg hurt, however it was nothing he couldn't shrug off with adrenaline to get the job done. From the looks of it, the Kazekage had no interest in helping. Senji wasn't sure this was a good thing however, he sensed if things got too difficult for the older guy he'd inevitably step in. It was something he wanted to avoid, as it were it wasn't in his nature to deal with prolonged close combat. The moment the shuriken left his hands however, Senji was at it again, this time taking care to carefully avoid being grabbed in the same manner once again.
He took a leap over the broken seat and performed a spinning kick straight to his sternum, however anticipated yet a second attempt at a grab. If the man was even fast enough to deal with the kunai and grab Senji's leg before he got there, he'd use his left leg to deliver a swift blow to the back of the head. The opportunity to do so only came with his firs leg being grabbed, and with his speed he intended to strike before a true vice-like grip could be applied once more. He was dreading it more than ever, however it seemed inevitable he was going to have to resort to subterfuge and jutsu soon since the terrain afforded no chances for Senji to lose the man visually. His best bet if necessary was a smoke bomb or two, but the desert wind wouldn't afford him much time to work within the cover.
As he attempted to connect with the man's chest, his vision sharpened intensely. Dulling his other senses, he sought to this time watch how the man moved, if only to get a better idea of how he oriented himself in battle, not to mention keep a keen eye on what he does with that blade just in case. As usual Senji held no real expression in his face, he was as stone faced as the plateaus and butes of Iwagakure, always planning his next move. His goggles had always helped this persona, belying nothing of his eyes. He was silent in all that had transpired, and often tried his best to continue things that way. It was one thing to change one's face after a mission, but to change one's voice? Now that was something not many were capable of doing, and doing well.

Focus: An espionage specialist spends a great deal of time learning how to shut out all unnecessary thoughts or sensory stimuli in order to focus on achieving one goal. This means that by disregarding four other senses, the espionage specialist can accomplish feats such as eavesdropping in a crowded marketplace, or keeping track of an individual in the busiest of streets, to even following a distinct scent to its origin through a flower shop. However, to accomplish such a feat the other four senses are dulled because of such extreme dedication to the one. (Able to enhance a single sense, gaining +1 Perception and +½ Reaction Speed as related to that sense. -1 Perception and -½ Reaction Speed to all other senses.)
(David was in the last international chuunin exams....Shinji is a chuunin.....Your face still relatively looks the same. And you literally JUST told the story of how you became Kazekage. All it does for Shinji is put him off to his task. Also just a thought, 50 gallons is equal to 416.5lb. That's uh....a LOT of weight for Enro to be hefting around. Even if he could do it which for the hell of it sure, it wouldn't be all that easy. Also Martin, I think I got what you were getting at. The fight wouldn't end as quickly as he wanted, he realized as the boy vaulted over the chair and avoided the blade meant for his leg. Never removing his eyes from his target, Enro was just able to catch his movements as he launched two shuriken towards his right side. Accurately throwing a weapon when in the midst of a combat maneuver was a very difficult task but the boy's aim was true. Unfortunately Enro was not going to remain still and moved himself to the left, completely avoiding one kunai and allowing the other to cut through the dark fabric on his shoulder. Upon later analysis he would notice the kunai scored a light cut along his shoulder but the flow of adrenaline in his body dulled his sense of pain and discomfort.
Now strewn upon the chair Enro immediately bounced back to grasp at the boy's spinning limb. It was a gamble, he knew, attempting the same counterattack as before but his goal was to incapacitate his legs. Especially with his apparent preference of airborne attacks. Oblivious to the boy's preparation Enro reached out, this time using his long arms to grasp the boy's legs above and below the knee. He drew his body in close, planting his legs to prepare for a powerful throw, when he was rewarded with a knee to the back of the head. The blow was enough to bring flashes of light into his eyes and launch him clear away from the wagon where he visibly skimmed across the rough sands before orienting himself mid-flight and rolling to his feet. Sand spilled from creases in his attire but was brushed off almost in irritation. Despite the throbbing pain in his head Enro offered the boy not even the slightest hint of it.
Miraculously his katana lay near his feet, the naked blade gleaming in the sunlight. If it wasn't for the goggles Enro would have tried to blind the boy then and there but instead he kicked his sword into the air and caught it deftly with his right hand. The kick launched him a good 15 feet away from the wagon but he moved with deliberate strides towards the boy, now fully intent on removing a limb from his body.
David found himself interested in the fight despite himself. it was a good chance to observe Enro in action after all, and despite his rather foolish in David's opinion actions, the attacker was turning out to be fairly skilled as well. He was obviously at this point faster and stronger than Enro, heck, he was probably David's equal in speed, and without his sand to augment himself, probably beat him in strength.
Which was actually a bit of a problem. As far as David knew, Enro's specialties lay in close combat. Even if it came down to the jutsu he had just helped the man learn, they would do more harm than good. His tactic of trying to grapple the boy would be excellent, if he were the stronger of the pair. As it was if he managed to lock the boy down into a grappling match, he'd be the clear loser. Rather than interfere though, David settled further back in his seat. It would be interesting to see what Enro would do to win a fight where he was the loser in his preferred area.
Feigning disinterest, he pulled yet another scroll from his pocket and began to read, still intent on improving his multitasking ability. It was a bit harder, since he'd have to focus on a fight and his reading at once, but he felt confident he could pull it off. "Stop damaging the goods." he spoke out, noticing Enro approaching the wagon again with his sword drawn. His tone was clear, a definite warning even though it contained his usual bored tone. They were here for the water. If the barrels were damaged in this fight, or the wagon disabled so they had to make repairs or carry the barrels manually, he would just have to teach both of them a valuable lesson on why you kept mission equipment intact.

Just as quickly, his strike was delivered and the man was sent back some ways. Rather than marvel at the feat however, Senji turned around immediately as he landed in an attempt to assess how he was to go about this. "The damn seat's damaged. I could probably use some wire and pull the cart the rest of the way back, but that'll only slow down my escape. Can't steal the other cart, that guy's sitting in it. Damn." Hearing movement behind him, he turned for a moment to see Enro catching his blade in his hand, almost immediately beginning to move towards his attacker once more. It was at that moment that he heard the Kazekage say something about the cargo, Senji's sentiments exactly. That water was the only thing that guaranteed him a good pay and a place to hang his goggles, he'd rather not go back empty handed due to a fight.
As Enro neared, Senji through a smoke bomb on the ground as he was seven feet away. As the smoke billowed, the last thing of Enro he saw was the man's face. He was clearly determined to give back what he'd received moments ago, and Senji intended to avoid that at all costs. He dropped low, intent on hefting the man over himself onto the other side of the cart if he continued to move in the same manner. They would both be handicapped by the smoke, however Senji had been lying still in that area long enough to have a general idea of what was where. If the man stopped short of him however, his plan would have to change as he decided his best bet was to perform a side somersault around the man to attempt to flank and confuse him. The truth was however, he wouldn't know which action to take until his intended grapple for the man's predicted course of movement didn't follow through. He'd have to gauge the situation and act accordingly.

'Yeah right," thought Enro at the sudden eruption of smoke along the wagon. Engaging a physically superior target without his sense of sight and on a wagon no less, was not a risk the scarred man was willing to take. Instead he stopped seven feet from the wagon and crouched, preparing to avoid any sudden projectile that came from the smoke. At the same time he grasped a single flash bomb, ready to throw it at a moments notice. If the boy dared to leave the cover of the smoke he would find it coming towards him the instant he was revealed.
He used this time to focus his thoughts past the veil of pain that assaulted his senses. It wasn't a particular debilitating sensation but it nagged at his concentration and the sooner the effects were relieved the sooner he could set about cutting down the boy. Enro wasn't all to accustomed to fighting someone who physical abilities far outranked his own, specially while possessing such a lean build. The ninja world grew more irritating by the day.
Senji Nakamura Chuunin | Speed | Strength | Less Elements | Tactless | Espionage Specialist XXXxxxx Hearing a halt in movement, Senji sprang into action with his second course of action, flanking the giant in attempt to strike again. As he began to move however, he noticed the smoke beginning to thin out early. The harsh winds in this region didn't afford him the luxury of time. Altering his course of action, he continued to back flip until he reached fifteen feet behind his opponent, roughly where he had landed earlier. He needed now more than ever to set up his escape in case that was necessary. Rushing through hand seals he muttered just audibly, "Katon: Shouidan no Jutsu" Holding the last seal, Senji spat small globs from his mouth, seven in total just five meters apart. Two behind him from the left and right respectively, and continuously like this towards his opponent, with the last one going out more towards the man. He didn't bother doing what he'd do with them yet, they were nothing more than a tactic for escape.
Just as finished with the last one, the smoke began to clear, and he began rushing at his opponent once more, this time sticking to the ground as he came from the behind now. He hoped the grass hid a few of the globs, however he felt it inevitable that one or two would be spotted. It looked like weird phlegm though, he didn't gather that without a knowledge of katon someone would know just what the heck they were. Planting his right hand on the ground, he attempted to sweep the man off his feet with his outstretched left leg. If the motion was uninterrupted whether avoided or successful, he planned on spinning back up to his feet to follow up with an open palmed strike to the man's sword wrist with his left hand, if only to rattle his grip on the weapon to hopefully decrease risk. In the same motion, he pulled a kunai from the holster on his leg, intending to use it to counter any attempts at striking him at close range with the sword. It wasn't the best defense, but it was metal and it would serve its purpose. It was better to receive a gash than lose a limb after all.

Katon: Shouidan no Jutsu (Fire Release: Incendiary Technique) Description: Recently developed, this technique is much akin to the Katon Ryuuka no Jutsu in a few ways. Using almost the identical set of seals, the user instead coughs out globs of what looks to be silver-tinged mucous. These flammable, gelatinous balls can be scattered along any area and even on other people and are highly combustible. Anything from the slightest spark can ignite them and set off variable explosions based on the level of the shinobi as well is leave a lasting flame going. Note: Genin gifted enough to perform this jutsu can only create explosions that range from 1m – 2m in radius. Chuunin can set a 4m – 5m radius ablaze. And Jounin are capable of kindling an area of approximately 5m – 10m.

David raised an eyebrow as their attacker threw down a smoke bomb. Enro ceased his movement, choosing to wait outside of the cloud. A good tactical choice considering they didn't know what the other was capable of just yet. he considered for a moment joining in. If the boy didn't have a way to see within the smoke he was a sitting duck to anything David chose to do. However the choice was quickly made for him, and his eyebrow rose again as the attacker darted out of the cloud, circling around behind Enro. Why he chose that tactic became clear as the cloud quickly dissipated, unable to hold together under the constant desert wind.
David continued to watch, slowly growing irritated at the stalling as the boy used some strange jutsu, flinging some sort of goo on the ground. He would have assumed it was a defensive measure, turning the field to his advantage, if the boy didn't immediately charge Enro again, finally abandoning his now familiar aerial attacks. Another good tactical choice, as it was a fair bet after two tries a target would assume the third to be the same again.
David would consider himself intrigued by the fight and want to watch more, if not for the fact that the sun was at it's peak, and slowly tipping over the edge. They were at the hottest point of the day now, and it would soon begin to cool as night fell. If they didn't leave here soon, it would be night and freezing cold before they reached home. "Two minutes." David growled, deciding that if it took any longer than that to finish this, he would end it himself.
With his opponent finally leaving the cover of his smoke bomb Enro tightened his hold on his katana while replacing his flash bomb with a kunai. The boy moved fast in an attempt to flank him but Enro was able to keep him within his line of sight until he stopped, fifteen feet before him. Well fifteen feet before he rushed forwards while performing a string of handseals. Dreading the moment Enro prepared to move the instant something was launched in his direction. He just able to catch the elemental nature of the technique before a series of translucent blobs spewed forth fro the youth's mouth. Quickly marking their location and making a mental note to give each area a wide berth. Rather than remain still Enro quickly skipped backwards until the wagon was only a few feet behind him, totaling approximately seven feet of distance added between them. It was enough comfort space in case the gooey substances were explosive in nature as most fire elemental ninjutsu could be.
As the boy closed the distance between them Enro noted a lack of preparation for an airborne maneuver. Hesitant to prepare himself for such an attack the former mercenary was actually pleased when the boy' body dipped downwards. He knew he wasn't as quick as the boy and so kept his sword aloft with the hilt even with his stomach. However, once he realized the boy's intention was a low attack he crouched in anticipation. The boy might be surprised to find his maneuver successful though only to a degree. Fully prepared to be swept off his feet Enro allowed the leg sweep to kick his legs out from under him but allowing the momentum of the kick to spin him around (Essentially he's spinning while parallel to the ground). And not a moment too soon as the boy's left hand shot towards his right, or where it would have been. Unfortunately for the boy Enro swept his blade out in an arc directly in the way of the incoming palm strike. The extended reach of the blade and the suddenness of his counterattack allowed the blade to approach the boy's wrist, the blade sharp enough to leave a gash deep enough to leave little use in his hand. Should the boy somehow manage to reach the spot before the blade, the force of the blow would be enough to force the weapon into the boy's flesh anyway though the damage wouldn't be as severe. In the same motion as his swing Enro allowed his legs to return to the ground, loathe to remain airborne for too long. This maneuver would allow the strike to occur just as his feet touched the ground.
Senji Nakamura Chuunin | Speed | Strength | Less Elements | Tactless | Espionage Specialist XXXxxxx With the success of his first strike, the maneuver continued as planned, at least that's what he had assumed. The truth was, the quick strike happened on the blade of the man who had began to move using the momentum given to him. The metal cut into the flesh between his middle and ring fingers, prompting him to retract his hand quickly, jumping back altogether as he clutched his hand. The cut wasn't too deep, however a small sparse blood trail followed his backward movement as Senji struggled to quickly bandage the hand before landing behind the first glob on the ground. He was now annoyed at the situation completely as he felt the same two fingers he was cut between pop out of place. "I don't have time for this," he muttered to no one in particular, turning and bolting the other way.
As he did, he dropped another smoke bomb in his stead and began taking his leave, hoping his cover would give him a fraction of time. He knew there was always the chance that man would try to give chase, however he was simply too fast. If anything, it was the Kazekage that would stop him, something he found to be annoying and more than likely, inevitable. He wasn't a fool, he knew first hand what a kage was capable of, and they weren't exactly slow either. He waited twelve seconds, enough time for someone to have obviously began to give choice. As his hand lay limp to his side as he ran, he snapped in the air with the other, causing a spark to ignite on the first of seven globs. As the first exploded, the range was enough to set off the second, and then another, causing a chain reaction to either deter, or injure any followers. Getting caught in any of the explosives was not fun as each one was more powerful than a single explosive tag. The second effect however, was what he counted on even more. The explosion was capable of producing abnormally strong flames; it wasn't uncommon for someone to prefer to put out the flames than give chase due to the havoc they could wreak on the environment. This was no different, Senji had set the trap within the confines of the Oasis, threatening the scarce wildlife the country as a whole had. It was his hope that at least one of the pair were forced to temper the flames.

This technique allows a person to snap their fingers and ignite a spark anywhere they so wish. A simple cinder and no more, this jutsu is used mostly in pranks and the like.

It would be pretty difficult to do what you did, however due to time and my slight apathy for running NPC's, I want to proceed. Just a note buddy.)

David glared as he realized he was about to be made a liar. After another short clash, ending with the attacker injured, if only slightly, he had retreated and thrown down another cloud of smoke. Unlike the previous time, which he hadn't cared about because of where he was, this time the smoke blocked David's view of the oasis' exit. Besides that it also his several of the globs the boy had created earlier. It was either a very obvious trap, or a distraction so he could escape. The boy was obviously far faster than Enro if he decided to run, and if David waited for the smoke to clear that could be just the head start the kid needed.
Growling, David hopped down from the seat, one hand already forming the seal for Suna Shikaku. The moment he landed, a pulse of chakra was sent out, which returned almost immediately with the information he needed. The boy was running, and in the opposite direction, which meant he was making his escape. Mere moments later, the smoke bomb erupted in flames, revealing that it was indeed a trap as well. Not to mention a distraction. If they took the time to deal with the fire, the attacker would be lost. "Get the wagons moving!" the young kage snapped over his shoulder. He didn't care in the least about the landscape, the fire wouldn't last long enough to burn anything of importance here, but the wagons catching fire would ultimately mean the failure of their mission, and that was unacceptable.
As Enro took care of that, David kicked off, running a few yards before jumping forwards in a dive, moving down into the sand as if he were diving into the oasis itself and going under the flames, following the ping he felt every time the boy's feet hit the sand. The boy may be his equal in speed on the surface, but if he used the sand to his advantage, catching the boy would be a simple matter of time, since he could use the sand to move faster under it's surface than he ever could on the top.
Suna Shikaku [Sand Sight] Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu | Supplementary Element: Sand Units: 0 Description: Sand Sight is a technique that allows the user to “See” through sand. This is accomplished in two different ways. One way, is that of a sense of sorts. The user is able to feel people moving across or through the sand within their range, and even pinpoint their general location. The second way, is that of literal vision. The user is capable of peering into the sand itself, and seeing things below the surface. This can be used for anything from spotting people below, to finding caves hidden by the sand. The way this works, is that the user makes a single hand seal, sending a pulse of chakra outward from them. The chakra travels through the sand, bouncing off of other objects and returning, much like sonar. Once the signal returns, it forms together into a comprehensible image the user understands as sight. The technique also works well for seeing through sand in the air, such as sandstorms, making it invaluable for crossing the desert safely.
While the technique can be used to see through sand techniques, it only works against the user’s own techniques, with the exception of those that make sandstorms. In any other case, the opposing chakra in the sand will repel the chakra pulse, making it impossible to see through.
As the user’s rank grows, so too does their ability with this technique. D - 15 feet C - 25 feet B – 30 feet A - 35 feet S - 50 feet Ichibi Host - 100 feet. The Ichibi host has greater power over this technique, due to the simple fact that he is more in tune with the sand itself than anyone else could ever be. This is a passive technique. Meaning it can remain active as long as the user is able to supply it chakra, regardless of what else the user does. Activation costs D rank chakra, and every post after that costs one point, including the final post. Chakra control bonuses increase the range visible by one rank, excluding Ichibi. If your rank is maxed out and you have more bonuses, you can restart the cycle by adding D rank distance.

If Enro was elated upon landing the blow he did not show it, rather he immediately brought his weapon back close to his body so as to defend himself against an attack he thought as imminent. The wound he scored was minimal but the location was critical. Shinobi - in his experience- needed four parts of their body to be effective in combat; both hands and their legs. All of which were Enro's primary targets throughout the battle and should he be attacked again his goal was to finish off that left hand or one of the boy's feet. Unfortunately the boy had other plans, turning heel and blasting away with fearsome speed. Speed that made Enro grit his teeth in frustration.
He took a single step forward to pursue when the boy threw down yet another smoke bomb. Considering his speed and strength Enro had no intentions of trading blows with him without his sense of sight. Rather than wait in the exact same position as he did before he began to circle the smog, reducing the distance so as to launch a quick projectile attack should the boy leap out to attack him in the position he thought him to be in. In the midst of his maneuvering however, a thunderous report shook the sands. Another eruption occurred and the concussive effect was strong enough to draw his attention to it's location. His eyes widened as a trail of destructed approached him, a sea of leaping flames and chaotic explosions. He immediately darted to the side, moving as fast as he could as the ground quickly became a sea of fire. Without warning he was lifted into the air and violently launched across the grass where he bounced against the ground. Heat lanced through his back as he struggled to his feet, deafened by the nearness of the explosion. He knew without looking that his back was bare and raw, the intensity of the flames pulling his skin and muscles taut across his back.
A low growl rumbled in his throat as he stood against the protest of his muscles. Blinking away the dirt in his eyes he was able to see David hop down from his seat and bark an order in his direction. Deaf, he had no clue what was said. However, he was not blind and his eyes caught the last two words of the command. Nodding he ignored his pain and dashed towards the wagons, specifically the wagon with the detached oxen. The beast was clearly spooked and looked like it was prepared to bolt but something in the fierce man's expression compelled it to stay. Enro was quick to grasp the remains of the harness and quickly reattach the oxen. Satisfied the beast was properly attached the pointed it towards the road it came and shouted "Go,". He added a firm slap onto it's hide to emphasize the command and moved out of the way as the beast allowed it's instincts to take hold.
Enro turned towards the remaining wagon and looked back into the chaotic scene, fire and smoke that stung his eyes as they creeper closer. David was no longer in sight but he was sure the Kazekage could hold his own. He hopped onto the wagon and contemplated going back but immediately banished the thought. If the Kazekage felt the need to step in, his own involvement would only burden the shinobi. It was time to go. "Yah" he barked and flicked the reins, urging the oxen after it's brethren.
Senji Nakamura Chuunin | Speed | Strength | Less Elements | Tactless | Espionage Specialist XXXxxxx Continuing his stride towards the desert, Senji forced himself to use his other hand for a string of three hand seals. The action was painful and unbearably so, however he needed to further his attempt to escape. Landing on the final seal mid jump, a clone appeared on either side of him landing at the same time he did. Motioning to both of them, the one of the left side-flipped into his position as he flipped where it was in order to confuse his opponents. The fire was a good distraction, and he gathered the smoke had already began to clear up by this point. As the three split ways into three separate directions further into the desert, Senji turned back for a second seeing no one give chase. His mind was relieved, however his gut told him otherwise. It was always better to be safe than sorry, especially considering the situation he was currently in.
The clone to the right darted towards the small village he was supposed to deliver the water to, instead going to deliver the unfortunate news that their extra supply of water could not be obtained. As for the second clone, it headed straight for Merchant's Road. The logic there was obvious; it was delving into the afternoon now and the road was not only a popular through-way between Iwa Suna and Konoha, but it was bustling at this time of day as well. He still wore the headplate of Iwagakure around his waist, and if the Kazekage were any sort of observant he would've noticed it long ago. It would only seem logical that he'd attempt to go back to where he came from. In truth however, Senji headed straight for the cover of the mountain range towards the North East. He'd traveled through there quite a few times and knew a few paths and caves, enough to hide out for the time being. Above all else however, the lush mountain range afforded him the comfort of actual cover. He contemplated hiding among the people at the Merchant's road, however he had a feeling if the Kazekage showed up there looking for someone things would grind to a halt and he'd get stuck. No, he chose the other route, a route which just as well allowed his katon to do more damage than it would in the desert if necessary.

Nenshou Bunshin [Burning Clone] Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu | Supplementary Element: Fire Description: A solid clone technique, making clones from fire itself. These clones are easily destroyed by an attack of equal strength to the user. However, upon being destroyed, these clones explode in a large burst of flame equal in power to an explosive tag. The clone's physical abilities are one rank below the creator's. This clone is incapable of using jutsu, and does not share it's memories with the user.
I forgot about this for a few days, and for that, I am most sorry.
With his arms folded to his sides and eyes closed, David rocketed forward head first below the sands, the material simultaneously moving aside to clear his way, and pushing him forwards as he followed where his sensory jutsu told him his target was located. With his mastery of the sand, he was moving significantly faster than the boy, and had soon caught up, and by choice, continued to move ahead of him.
About the time he caught up, he senses alerted him to the presence of two more individuals who had not been present before, certainly clones, which after dancing some bizarre jig with the original took off in near opposite directions. David scoffed to himself at the obvious distraction, and brought his hands together in a single seal. Before the two who had split off could get more than fifteen feet away, ropes of sand leapt up from the ground directly in their paths, both blocking their escape and attempting to grasp hold of their targets. If they succeeded, and it would take quite the reaction speed to avoid them, they would immediately wrap tightly around whatever part of the being's body they touched first, and begin to pull harshly in conflicting directions. An action which would merely cause pain to a human, but could easily disperse most clones.
As his ropes appeared to take care of the clones, David rolled over so he was traveling facing upwards, and moved closer to the surface, lurching out from underground such that he was standing directly in the boy's path, just as the ropes had, and far too close to avoid a collision. Rather than make any direct act against this one, he stood and waited for the impact. The boy, at his speed, would crash into his shield at it's most powerful. If he was a clone himself, he would be dispersed by the force of the impact, allowing David to focus on one of the others. If not, well, he would go from there.
Suna Nawa [Sand Rope] Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu | Offensive Element: Sand Units: 1/4 per foot Description: Suna Nawa allows the user to launch up to four ropes of sand from their source, and attempt to capture a target with it. The rope is semi-controllable, and can be aimed and maneuvered in midair to corner the target. Once the target is caught, the rope will tightly wrap itself around them to confine them. An opponent with strength higher than the power of the jutsu can break free with some effort (One post), or if their hands have not been bound, they can cut the rope with a bladed weapon. Except for it's unique abilities, the rope has the same durability as a normal rope. The rope moves at C rank speed, but can only go as far as the user's sand allows. The rope's reaction speed is -.5 below the user's own, because it has to be consciously controlled.
One full jutsu per clone/split-off/diversion/whatever. Jutsu Power: AE As the speed defaults at C, and Elemental Type provides a +2, I feel the speed would be, resultingly, A. Feel free to debate that point if you disagree, but with strength scaled in the jutsu itself, it seems appropriate that the bonus effect be applied to the set speed default. Reaction obviously should never change, though I'll be changing it to one increment in near future. (CC)

Senji Nakamura Chuunin | Speed | Strength | Less Elements | Tactless | Espionage Specialist XXXxxxx As Senji raced towards the outskirts of the desert, he was surprised by what he could only describe as free-forming ropes of sand, four of them to be exact. As his other clone met the same fate, the third in the middle was not so fortunate. The shield of sand that was instantly created forced it to disperse, causing an instant explosion with the force of an exploding tag. It was at that same instant that the second exploded as the ropes that by this time had bound both of them attempted to pull him apart. It was as good of a distraction as he was going to get, two explosions in essentially the same instance, one directly in front of the Kazekage. Without wasting time as his body was being drawn and quartered in all directions, Senji heaved five fireballs from his mouth. The first four of course towards each rope apprehending his limbs, and the last two at the man who seemed to appear from nowhere.
He wasn't sure if the attempt to escape would be enough, and he had more than that on his mind in the first place. "Just where the hell did he come from!? How was he travelling like that in the first place? The Earth Military Movement technique doesn't work all that well in sand, and it definitely doesn't make you faster. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised, he is after all one of the shadows of the great five. Escaping might be harder than anticipated." The situation grew worse by the minute, and more and more Senji wished he had passed on what was to be an easy mission. His attempt to continue running would continue immediately if he could escape the trap he was now in. How he longed for the comfort of Iwagakure.

Silent Casting: The need for stealth and silence in missions necessitates that espionage specialists be silent at all times. While this usually ends in being unable to use jutsu due to incantations, some have learned to achieve the necessary focus through silent mental incantation rather than speaking the jutsu aloud. (Jutsu below the user's rank no longer require incantations. Cannot be used with A or higher ranked jutsu.)
Katon Housenka no Jutsu (Fire Release: Mythical Fire Flower Technique) Description: A jutsu that sends multiple blasts of fire from the mouth, usually with one target in mind. Shurikens can also be hidden inside the flames, creating an element of surprise.

(I'm not going to argue it for the sake of this mission, however be aware I don't like the strength/speed of jutsu being changed based on feelings and not fact. So, amend the Elemental Control bonus so that it CLEARLY states that it just as well boosts the speed of all jutsu of the element chosen, while decreasing the strength/speed of all other jutsu so that there is no blurred line of when it should and shouldn't boost something. I do however, want to know why this D-rank jutsu is suddenly AE ranked however.)
Sure enough, the boy plowed straight into his shield, even as he saw from the corners of his eyes both others walk straight into the waiting arms of his ropes. A moment later, his shield buckled, the sand folding in from the force of an explosion, but refusing to give and let any danger reach it's master. Almost simultaneously one of the others to one side burst into flames as well, decimating the ropes that held it. No matter though, the clone was dead.
Under the cover of the smoke and fire, David sunk into the ground again, his shield dropping as he went under. Almost lazily he pushed off, heading in the direction of the last remaining target. He didn't find himself entirely surprised however, when he felt his control of the sand ropes disperse, followed by footsteps moving away once more. The boy seemed to be a katon user, making some of his weaker sand techniques of little use.
A smirk slid onto David's features as he decided to play with the boy a bit. A single seal, and four small sharks of sand were formed in front of him, darting along at equal speed to himself. As soon as he caught up to the boy, again moving faster than he could, the sharks began to leap at random, snapping their jaws at his limbs and attempting to slow his forward movement as David moved ahead once more, a bit further ahead of the boy's path this time so that when he again rose up from the ground to face him, he would have time to do something, anything, before smashing into his shield.
Suna Same [Sand Shark] Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu | Offensive Element: Sand Units: 1 Range: Vision Description: Forming the necessary seals, the user channels chakra into the sand beneath them, forming it into a small shark, about the length of the users arm. The shark is capable of swimming beneath the sand at considerable speed (+1.5 ranks above user's speed), and leaping out at will to bite at an opponent. Given the overall size of the shark, it is not capable of inflicting serious injury unless it is able to latch on and the opponent is unable to remove it. The sharks bite has a strength of D rank, and they can be quite painful to remove. Up to four sharks can be created with this technique.
