Vempyremon hardly paid any attention to Akita or what she said and didnt even mind getting a good spot of Kain's clothing wet. It felt like just the both of them facing off in nostalgia, or just Vempyremon is, and it was hard to let go, mentally and physically. If she ever were to, there'd be new scars in the shape of claw marks on Kain's skin. However it could have been a big deal was only really known by the two. "It's just not the same; none of you will understand." She hardly thought playing babysitter to however many kids was that interesting, but the offer was there. Never would she see Lance or Devri innocent children again. Too many times has she passed by several offers and regretted it.

Akita fidgeted slightly, watching the two for a moment more. "I.. I'm sorry Miss Vempyremon.." Akita's head hung slightly. She couldn't help but feel that it was the change in relationship status that had brought this upon Vemp at the moment. "I'm sorry.." She shook her head and made for the door, "I.. I have to go get some of my things together. I'll be in my room.. I'm sorry." Giving a quick bow at the door Akita hurried off down the hallway to the stairs which she quickly ran up, stumbling once or twice. Once at the top she peeked down to see if anybody had followed her. It didn't matter if they did anyways, she continued down the upper hallway to her own room.
Lucus remained there. Not really understanding what was going on in the least. It was Akita that he'd always thought as family since she was one of the first at his side after his parents death. He understood he had to let her go though. After keeping her there for so long, it was only fair to give her a chance to be on her own. "Yes.. I don't Vemp. I apologize." Leaving Vemp and Kain to be Lucus made his way over to one of the chairs and took a seat, letting himself slouch down he closed his eyes. Even though his mind was more or less blank because he didn't know what to thing.. he tried to make it at least look like he was focused on one thing.

Gruffly, Kain put his hands on Vempyremon's shoulder, tight enough to make her wince or make both arms fall asleep from the pressure. It certainly does make her withdrawal a little bit from the forced grip. The nail digging from the hug already began to sting. "Schweigen." There was another moment when another would be able to test Kain's strength as he pushed Vempyremon back with her feet rubbing against the floor. "Die Gedenkminute. Noch nicht ganz."
Vempyremon didnt exactly know what he said, she never did, but pretty much figured what he meant when he walked away to follow Akita to her room. She was left with her hands out where her claws were digging into Kain's sides and mouth agape just a little with furrowed brows. Slowly, Vempyremon looked back to Lucus, knowing he was probably baffled by what happened, and so was Akita most likely. But that didnt matter now, as Vempyremon turned to escape to who knows where, where she would begin her long deadman's silence.

Back in her room Akita huffed going through her belongings. Sorting thought what she would wear sometime soon, what she wouldn't. What was old what was new. What she was deciding to take with her she was quickly stuffing into a luggage bag. Brushing her hair out of her face she picked up her mask which has been moved into her room at some point while she was away. Laying a soft kiss on it she made her way to the bed where she placed it gently on the pillow. "May you watch over them.." Her fingers trailed along the smooth bone before she went over to close the luggage bag, figuring she'd have enough for awhile. If not, she had some money set aside from having worked for Lucus. "Alright.." She picked up the bag and made it to the door to go back into the hall, "I suppose it's back to the house from last night from here."

From several weeks to a month have gone by now and without Akita in the manor and to Vempyremon's silence, everything seemed silent. Lance was off in his own studies, trying to apply to a great college to attend to. Everyone seemed to be minding their own business until the day that Vempyremon went missing from the manor, and seemingly from the Nocturna town itself. When, how, or where was beyond anyone's knowledge as no trace of her whereabouts were in sight at this point. Aristocramon was the only that didnt seem all that shocked that she did so; they used to travel quite a lot back in the days. Though, it never occurred to him that Vempyremon was still in distress over what happened. Aside from the trouble in the manor, no one else seemed to know what was going on. Kain still spent his time outside while the winter still lasted with snow and ice on the ground. There was to be a snow-rain mixed storm that night, and Kain could already feel the wind picking up.

Akita groaned letting herself slump down on a table. Lucus had tracked her down to where she had been staying in his panic over his mate. "Lucus.. you can't expect me to go out and hunt for her. You have an entire army at your disposal! Be a leader and send theeeem.." Sitting back up right she fixed her hair. She slouched down a bit in her chair as she peered out the window, "If she is out there though it'll no place for any noct tonight.."
Lucus slamed a hand down on the table, "Exactly Akita which is why I need your help! I know I know you want to stay here all nice and cozy and warm but.. My mate, the mother of my children is out there somewhere! Lance is busy with study.. Devri has left by now! I... AH!" Lucus shook his head in frustration, beginning to pace the room. "I should have talked to her more.. I should have been there for here..."
Akita sighed softly. Her hand stroking her stomach softly, "Fine Lucus.. I'll help you find her but when I say I'm done. I'm done!" She shook her head as she stood up from her seat.

By now, Kain already had already entered inside the abode from their arguing and Lucus' loud and annoying panicing. He gave him his usual angry glare for even expecting Akita to go out and do such an insane thing. He looked about ready to chuck him out the window. "Hss...Mizz Akita is going no vhere." Kain slowly made his way towards the table and where Lucus constantly paces about, fists clenched to look intimidating to try to get him to leave, and especially leave Akita alone. "Do not sent a woman outside in zhe freezing cold on a scavenger hunt. Vait until zhe storm passes to send somevone else."

Akita looked up at Kain quickly as he entered, "I know it's not exactly sane for me to go out there.. especially being pregnant but.. Miss Vempyremon could be out there without shelter!" Akita glanced over at Lucus who had looked away from the her and Kain, "Lu..."
Lucus shook his head, "No no.. Akita don't Lu me.." He made a soft growling sound, "Kain is right.. It'd be wrong for me to send you out there.." Lucus frowned, trying not to look back of Kain because he figured if he got hit, it'd hurt less if he wasn't anticipating the impact. Pulling his coat tightly and making his way to the door to head out into the oncoming storm. "If anybody has to go on on this so called scavenger hunt it's me.. She's my mate after all." Opening the door Lucus slipped out into the streets.

Even though, Kain still wasnt very fond of Lucus, he knew he and Akita were still friends. If Lucus went out there alone and got himself killed, it would mean stress for Akita. And stress while being pregnant isnt exactly a good thing. " Entschuldigung!" Kain bowed quickly and gave Akita a kiss on the forehead before chasing after Lucus out in the cold, politely shutting the door from behind so the cold didnt get in. He didnt have to even button up his jacket, however. Lucus, not getting far, Kain was able to grab him by the shoulder and stop him from progressing any further. "Vhat do you zhink you are doing? Zhat's suicide. You vill VAIT." The clouds from afar let off a soft thunder and flash of lightning from within them; if it did rain, it would be freezing rain.

"Kain! Lucus!" Running quickly over to the window she tried to get herself into a position where she could see the two of them.
Lucus spun around and gave Kain a harsh look, "Tell me. How do you seriously expect me to wait when she could be out here somewhere! I have to make sure she's not out here Kain!" Lucus clenched his teeth and growled, "I wouldn't be able to sleep knowing she could die out here while I sat on my a**!" His attention turned to staring at the ground, his frustration growing. He himself knew that in this clouded state of mind he wouldn't last very long out there in the on-coming storm. "Damnit all.." His head still hung he shook his head in an almost pitiful manner.

The snow was still drifting heavily and made Kain's hair glimmer with a much brighter blue color than usual from the severe change in temperature. He really didntw ant to tell he guy what to do if it would only make him more angry. True, Kain could have been able to travel out there into the unknown like a beastly snow plow, but he had to stay home...for reasons. There wasnt much else he could do except try to keep Lucus from committing suicide in the snow.
And it wasnt too hard to notice the brightly colored green object standing next to one of the trees. It was Aristocramon, and he clearly wasnt as worried and caught up in such a panic over their little escapee. But, all he could do, as well, was simply just say, "It's okay."

Lucus looked from Kain to Aristocramon with sad eyes. He was being told it was okay and to wait. Both things hard to accept when he had no idea where is mate was. "Arist.. Kain.. She'd just.. She better be alright! I swear!" His fists clenched tightly at his sides as he turned quickly to glare at nothing at all. "I just.. want out of the cold now.." Lucus felt his whole body fall slack.. his hands releasing their position as fists to a relaxed pose. His face fading to a frown.

Aristocramon shooed Kain away from Lucus a little bit with his hands, only to take up more of Lucus's personal space with his own presence. Though, his presence is more calming and mentally warming, so to say. "She's done this before to me, not...in the winter time as harsh as this, but my sister is a survivor. I dont know how long you'll have to wait, though. Just dont get your panties in a bunch." Aristocramon waved his hand again as if to wave off the stressful topic.A cold wind came before the town and felt like a blanket of ice being thrown on the three so suddenly. It made Aristocramon shiver and turn his head away from the direction of the oncoming wind to keep it from being frozen, while Kain just stood there as normal, hair covering his face very shadow-like. They were doing so good until Lucus decided to drop by with his little freakout, expecting Akita to get out in the cold. With a heavy and quick punch to the tree Aristocramon was by, Kain left a solid crack in the middle of the bark where his fist hit. It let off some steam, but to avoid everything else, Kain takes a turn to head back inside like a wolf to its cave.

Lucus waited to respond to Aristocramon and turned quickly to Kain after he'd punched the tree. "I'm.. sorry to have disturbed you two! I wish you two the best with the pregnancy!" Giving a heavy exhale on his hands before he slipped his gloves on to protect his hands from the winds he gave Arist his attention back, "Shall we head back before we freeze out here..? It's a bit of a walk."
Inside Akita had taken to making a cocoon out of a blanket in a chair. Nestled inside of it as if the cold would come in at any second to n** at her in the cozy warmth. When Kain finally slinked back into the house her ears perked up, "Ah! You're back!" Even with the blanket wrapped tightly around her the small little bump from her tummy could be seen due to the large litter she was carrying.

As if he had been left out of the picture the whole time, Aristocramon looks towards the now closed door and the rest of the house in confusion. "Wait, what? Pregnancy? Am I always the last person to know these things?" Aristocramon scratched the back of his head a little bit before looking back beyond the town where the trees of the forest could be seen from far away. If there were any snow prints to track Vempyremon down with, Lucus wouldnt be in as much of a hissy fit as he is now, But with the snow firing down from the sky, if there were any prints, they'd be long gone by now. "Sure. I think Lance said he was going to try and make dinner."
After settling inside and seeing Akita, Kain's mood almost instantly lifts to a more cheerier mood. Of course, he doesnt show it as his expression usually stays the same gruff, mellow tone. He glances at his knuckles just a little bit and sees the fur parted where they hit the tree; a few knuckles were bleeding, but it wasnt all that bad as getting stabbed with a sword. Almost as if his energy gives out on him, Kain near collapses on his knees on the ground in front of Akita and the chair. Of course, he did it on purpose, so he would have an excuse to move the several pounds of sheets and blankets away from Akita's stomach to kiss it. His lips were as cold as they were colored black, like a stethoscope touching Akita's sensitive skin.
