Fully changed and much less nude, Lee came out of the bedroom and sat at the table, her blush still present. She couldn't quite muster up the courage to look Rory in the eyes, still thinking, on some level, Rory knew what she'd been wearing. Needless to say, she was embarrassed. She took a bite of her venison, not bothering to compliment him on how good it tasted, figuring the dozens of times she'd already told him she loved his cooking was enough. Her gobbling it down in an instant was a compliment in itself, wasn't it?

Rory glanced up when she came in, but didn't say anything. He smiled a little at Lee wolfing dinner down. At least she still liked his cooking even when she didn't like him. "I figured we might stay in tonight after all. You prolly donnae really want t' see th' horses doin' th' same tricks you see them doin' e'eryday when you come visit, reet?"

Lee blinked up at the boy, her eyes a little wide with worry. Was he that upset with her that he didn't want to go out later? "Y-you dun wanna go?" She really should learn to be nicer, to be more appreciative of Rory's help... That's what this was about, right?

"Well, you're all upset wi' me an' Lauss an' you hurt yourself. I didnae think you'd want t' gae out now in your mood," Rory said quietly, getting up and taking their plates to the sink to wash. "I didnae get a chance t' make dessert, but I will in a bit if you want." He'd expected to get her something sweet while they were out, but if she wasn't wanting to go, he'd just cook something for her, he guessed.

"No, I'm not mad, I thought you were annoyed with me..." she lowered her head, frowning down at the table. "You dun have to make dessert, it's alright. I'm pretty full anyway..." She kicked her legs under her chair nervously, not sure what to do or say.

"As if I could e'er be annoyed wi' you," Rory chuckled, looking back at her. "I donnae mind cookin' up a dessert fae you. I wis gonna get somethin' while w' wis out, but since you donnae really seem up t' gaen anymore, I'll make somethin' fae you." He went back to washing the dishes.

Lee smiled a little to herself, happy to hear he wasn't upset with her. "I'm still up for going." She nodded, certainly not about to make Rory prepare dessert for her when he thought she was upset with him.

"Yeah?" Rory asked, looking back at her. "Um, okay. I'll finish up here an' gae get a shirt an' some shoes on then." He went back to scrubbing up the pan and dishes.

Smiling as she stood, Lee walked over to him, kissing his cheek before starting to head for the bedroom again. "I'll go get shoes on."
As soon as Lee had disappeared, Lauss popped out, heading over to Rory, holding his arms to his chest and visibly shaking a bit. "Rory? May I borrow your quilt?" So cold... True, it was only in the low seventies, but he couldn't stand it.

"There's some extras in th' closet," Rory said, pointing to the hallway. "Help yourself." He finished with the dishes, setting them on the drying rack, then went to the bedroom to get on a shirt and shoes. He paused at the door to watch Lee a bit. "You look really nice. I forgot t' tell you earlier."

Lauss shivered away, nodding as he headed for the blankets. So cold, so cold...
Lee smiled up at him, blushing a bit. "Thanks... I'd say the same thing, but I figure you know you always look nice." She giggled, finishing with her shoes and standing.

"I donnae always look nice. Donnae look nice at all. I sometimes wonder if you donnae need glasses thinkin' I'm good-lookin' all th' time," Rory laughed, finding a shirt to wear before sitting down to put on some nicer shoes than the boots he usually wore for work. "Is Lauss okay? He wis askin' fae more quilts an' wis shakin' like a leaf."

Lee reached over to play with the boy's hair, smiling softly to herself. "You're kidding, right? As the best-looking guy in Farstep, you're insulting everyone else by saying you're not nice looking." And she really meant that, too, though didn't much care if he was insulting anyone. She just wanted him to know he was, in fact, attractive. She blinked down at the mention of Lauss, then looked toward the door, only slightly curious. "He's probably fine. He used to be a little dragon thing, so maybe he's just cold-blooded or whatever." Not that she really understood what that meant, but it sounded good.

"Maybe," Rory answered, standing up. "Alreet. I'm all ready t' gae when you are." He headed to Lauss' room and knocked on the door, poking his head in. "Hey, um, me an' Lee are gonna gae out fae a bit. If you need anythin' or get lonely, head up t' th' Gradys. Just leave a note if you leave. There's some long-sleeved thermal shirts in me closet if you wanna borrow them if th' extra blankets ain't enough."

Lauss nodded, bundled up in every last blanket they had in the closet, grinning as best he could. "H-have a p-p-leasant t-t-time." He nodded, then looked past the mountain he'd buried himself in and continued to read.
Lee waved to Lauss before linking arms with Rory, tugging him along and toward the door.
