"Nice coat," Agent M grunted, still clutching his privates.

At last! M was down, and she could enjoy her meal. Unfortunately, someone grabbed her and threw her away from her prey. No matter, I'll just chase him while he crawls. Alas, it was not to be because she was still blocked by someone. Saieve's brother, isn't it?
She tried going around him, but he kept blocking her from reaching her food. Apparently, she was going to have to fight her way through him before she could eat Agent M.
A did indeed have his balance thrown off, but managed to stay on his feet. While Saieve was down, A ran and attempted to stomp on the man's tailbone. While not as degrading as a crotch shot, it would still hurt like Hell.

"Thanks," the woman sniffed. "Watch it, buddy," the woman told him, twisting his head with her foot and resting it on his cheek again. "Just watch them go."

"You know, this has always been something of a personal fantasy of mine," Agent M commented, an inscrutable grinning expression on his face. "In the snow, a strong, dominant woman with a nice coat - with even nicer legs, I might add, wonderful legs - placing her boot ever so gently on my cheek.... Tell me, do you like ropes and chains, by any chance?"

"Particularly," she returned, entertainment in her voice. "You're not so bad, anyway. I think you'll make it through today alive. Now just watch. See that they have so much more potential. So much more ability. Well, for now anyway. Arrogance doesn't blind them," she added pointedly, emphasizing her movement by pushing down on his face. Agent M noticed that the snow around him was, ironically, warming up without melting, which made absolutely no sense. Apparently she was really interested in saving his life.

"We should get together some time," Agent M replied, before stating an objection. "But if they have so much more potential, why did they fail the cut last time? Isn't any current potential now just a result of the degree to which they've lost themselves to the virus?" He frowned. "That one, for instance - the spined one. He could scarcely harm me until he gave himself over entirely to the Hunger. They're not humans any more, they're little more than vectors for a virus they can't control."

The woman shrugged at M's suggestion before moving on. "Einstein failed math, didn't he? Or was that the one that's a myth? I don't remember. The point is, you don't start from the end. Control over this comes when it will. I had much more power than I had control when I first began this," she told M, firing a sparkle of energy from an outstretched finger. "They, too, will learn control, whatever we have to do to see that it happens. And we do know how to teach them, I'm sure..."

"They had to be shut down. This virus is one of the most dangerous things on this planet," Agent M replied. "How many deaths are already linked to them? They're natural killers, cut off from non-cannibalism-based forms of sustenance, out of control and quite likely out of their minds to some degree."

"Tell me, Agent. Does it seem like we are the ultimate in self-control? Perhaps The Thief, but most certainly very few of the Sigil-empowered. Any great power is corrupting to those less than the power. It is up to those greater to control it. If their minds have been damaged, we can fix them."

"Dear, for a Host, we're spending every second of our lives in a fight to make sure we're still controlling the virus and not the other way around," M retorted. "There are two kinds of Infected: us, the Host-Agents, and them, Vectors, who are little more than tools of the virus. It's not just about damaging their minds, it's about having the strength to resist the virus and its hold - it's about being able to control it."

"Is that so? Strength is a characteristic that can be taught," the woman replied calmly. "The virus can be wrangled. I hear it has been done. You have done it, I suppose. That is what you feel separates you. If you could achieve that, though, so can they."

"But they didn't," Agent M retorted. "And we're dealing with them the only way we can. The kind of strength they need, we know can't be taught. If it could, we'd have re-initiated them into a second phase of training after their mind wipes."

"And you knew them so intimately, I suppose, that you sent them home, where they promptly regained their memories. No, I don't think you know them or this virus any better than we do. And, I suppose, if we end up simply turning them loose against our enemies... it will be a sad loss, but we will carry on."

The fight unfolding in front of the woman and Host-Agent M was certainly interesting.
The Hosts - Vectors, as M called them - were pushing the Eves back slowly. While the Sigil-powered men and women were beginning to reach the end of their energy wells, the Hosts were growing more and more frenzied. Fueled by their Hunger and the presence of such delicious food, they grew feral, and through it, more ferocious.
The Nihilites had the Adams and Host-Agent A tied up, even without the woman who was standing on M's face. He was thankful she wasn't fighting.

Adela finally got a break. The fighting was moving, and no one was paying attention to lil' ol' her. She got some time to catch her breath when she saw someone in the distance. Oh no. The closer the person got, the more Adela hated being there. Don't let it be who I think it is. Yep...it was Elizabeth, back from running wherever the hell she got ported to.
Adela got into a stance, ready to fight. It's shield girl. Okay, at least I won't have to worry about getting stabbed. Once Elizabeth was close enough, Adela yelled, "You're the one that keeps kicking Schraeder in the balls! You know how embarrassing it was to fix that?" She ran up to the girl to kick her face, though the girl blocked with her shields. Thank God I'm a girl.
A was busy trying to cut the ropes with his quills. Moving every so often, he was able to slowly but surely rip the rope holding him there.
Clarissa was Hungry, and she didn't care who she had to go through to get her food. She even thought of eating Fin, but no. Something stopped her. Saieve's brother. Mustn't eat. Still, that didn't stop her from wanting to hurt him. She just wanted a bite. The guy didn't need his arm, right? Where's the Agent? I want to eat HIM.
