I voted for Aries/Arieth because I feel hers was an untimely demise....plus I never played IX either......and I kinda read about it...and it looked silly to me...I mean sillier then X-2 which was pretty good...and seeing Quina pull something out of only Yevon knows where and eating it?!
I think I'll be keeping my sainity with Arieth!

But didn't the real Garnet die and Dagger was a replacement minus the Horn?

Mm, well, yes, the 'real' Garnet did die, but that was years before the game even started, and she's only mentioned once or twice in the game. Dagger-Garnet used to have a horn, but it was removed to make her look more like the old Garnet. In any case, Dagger-Garnet is the one referred to 99.99% of the time.

I voted for Aerith
She was the last of her race. She helped cloud open up. She helps cloud /numerous times/ in Advent Children. She stood in the face of death with a smile on *starts tearing up crying *.

I voted for Garnet because Aeris sucked so bad... and she did.... that when she got killed and most people, at least that I know, were happy.... I know I was. Though I don't really like garnet at all either.... I should've voted for a tie.

Maluc Fieri I voted for Garnet because Aeris sucked so bad... and she did.... that when she got killed and most people, at least that I know, were happy.... I know I was. Though I don't really like garnet at all either.... I should've voted for a tie. Really? Most people I know thought her death was really sad..
Kazuma - I agree, I think that Aerith was a better character. But Garnet would probably win in a fight. D:

Hey I tried with the names! neutral I really don't worry about who I picked for this one because I never played Final Fantasy VII or Final Fantasy IX, So it reeeeally doesn't matter who I pick because it'd be the same on either side of the Scale! stare (I forget names....I try to for get names that are slightly similar to Mine: Alice which is why I type the Names differently and the fact that People hound me about needing to spell it the way I wrote it before!) 3nodding

Kazuma - I agree, I think that Aerith was a better character. But Garnet would probably win in a fight. D: Of course garnet would win...unless she used her limit break that makes her invincible. domokun . But it would give ans garnet would kick some materia butt.

I probably should've said tie, but notheless.
At first I thought of just basics, and thought, "hell, Garnet would win, she doesn't even need materia."
but that's part of it, yeah? Aeris (all those who hate this spelling can bite me mrgreen ) can equip ALL different kinds of materia... Ultima, Bahamut Zero, etc. ect. ect.
I mean, if she had access to materia, she'd probably kick Garnet's butt too...
so, I voted for Garnet, but I think a tie would be wise...

Aeris of course! She is one of the greats FF heroine. Even though she died, She was extremely strong. Plus her magic ruled.
Garnet was a cool character too. She was wierd. the whole Dagger issue... stare What a bizarre nickname..personally I always changed it.
