They danced for a moment longer before he held her up, supporting her by encircling his hands around her waist. The song was slightly upbeat but their movement was more sensual and slow. It fit the way she was feeling and he was getting slightly tired anyway. When she spoke and promised not to tell his brother, Ian almost jumped up with joy but instead grinned. "Our little secret. Got it." They danced for what seemed an eternity and finally he leaned in and whispered, "Do you wanna get out of here? I'll take us home."
He didn't want her to feel bad so he added, "And you didn't ruin the party for me. Did you not see the girl that was on my arm not too long ago?" He asked, with a chuckle in his voice. "Besides I got to slow dance with you, that made my night."

Kairi Mari Tappen
The heart is the place where we live our passions. It is frail and easily broken, but wonderfully resilient. There is no point in trying to deceive the heart. It depends upon our honesty for its survival.So tell me.Are you truly being honest or are you breaking that frail heart that I trust you with?
Kairi found herself smiling softly as Ian encircled her waist, but it made her think of what she had done earlier, and she kept her face down, feeling guilty for kissing Ian. She had a feeling by the morning they would both forget about it but she had time to think about it right now and it was very guilt holding so she tried to ignore it. She smiled and nodded "Secret it is."She nodded and ignored her shiver through her body at his whisper. She had heard that before but in a different context. This was good though. She nodded softly "If you don't mind."She would love to go home and sleep comfortably in a bed, her bed was to lonely though, her house was lonely. She hadn't slept in forever either. It would be good to wake up and make some coffee, breakfast, and talk with Ian. They could plan for Alex's trial. She wanted to have Alex back.
She looked at Ian and tilted her head to look at him, she gave a soft laugh. "Yeah I saw her, i'd like to thank her if you find her again. She sure put you in her place."She smiled and hugged him. "Thank you Ian. You really are a good guy, even if you say your a bad boy."She winked, giving him a small grin.

They danced in sync, almost as if made for each other, but of course that wasn't he case. He felt his arms around her and was glad that he was the one holding her and not some sleeze bag. He felt that the whole thing with Max was his fault because he had left her right after she had kissed him. If he had just ignored the kiss and continued to dance then Kairi would still be enjoying herself and so would he. Although he wasn't complaining at this moment either especially since he had ended up with her regardless of what had happened earlier. He just hoped that one day he would have the guts to apologize correctly to her. "Yeah, I can tell you're tired. Besides it's getting late."
He let his hands slide from her waist to her hand and held it in his. It would be better to be a little possessive of her now so that he could take her home. He didn't want anyone else hitting on her or trying to take her from him. As they walked out, Ian saw a few friends and waved them, grinning as they winked at him. Chuckling, he took hold of her so that she was close in the cold breeze that was beginning to pick up outside.
"Hey hey, don't tell people. I have a rep to protect." He muttered with a wink.

The fact that she felt so tingly from just this dance had Kairi feeling more guilty about it than kissing him earlier did. She hoped it was nothing, that it was just the air of the party getting to her and the drug wearing off, but deep down she knew it wasn't, and it killed her on the inside. She pursed her lips, looking over Ian, a small pout hitting her face "Is it really that noticeable? Man, I feel like a party downer now."She muttered, giving a sign out of disappointment for herself. She hated to be a downer at a party, especially the first one she had been to after the whole kidnapping thing. She didn't exactly want to call it a kidnapping though, it was more like a trip, even if it was a kidnapping. She shrugged it off though, there would be more parties, and more fun in the future. She hoped anyway.
She gave him a small smile moving out of the party, it was a little colder outside, but it was never cold at a party, dancing and drinking got things heated. She glanced at Ian's pals and chuckled "I don't think you have to worry about your rep with your guy pals seeing you walk out with me."She winked at them and waved flirtatiously. Nothing wrong with leading them to think they were going to have some fun. "Besides, why would I want to ruin your bad boy image?"She chuckled, she might mention it to Alex, but she wouldn't tell Ian that now would she?  ||Pretty good, you? The chilly air was nice against his steaming body, he felt the air and sighed comfortably. His friends whistled as they noticed the girl he was walking out with, oh how he liked the sound of some fun later. But he had promised his brother and that was something he didn't take lightly. "I'm sure they'll think something else if they see us get in the car together." He muttered before perking up and saying, "So get in the car."
He chuckled before opening the car door for her and bowing mockingly, "For you, mi'lady." He gestured with his free hand as he waited for her to get in. The moon hung overhead parting a few clouds in a beautiful display of nature.

She tapped her lip, glancing up at the moon "Well, I could get in the car, and lead your little friends on, or I could put you in the passengers seat and I could drive."The grin on her face was cat like, and she dragged her fingers on the top of the door, down Ian's arm, and down his back, keeping her hand there, tempted to push him to sitting in the passengers seat. It did sound like so much fun, but that would have been mean wouldn't it? Looking at her friends those rose and eyebrow at her, she just smiled, she decided not to be that mean. "Why thank you, kind sir."She slid into the seat, sending him a smile. "Your lucky I don't wanna ruin your rep."She smiled, tapping his nose with her finger and nudged him away.
Okay, so she wasn't that mean, but it would have been really fun, but she didn't know the route home from here either, and sucked with directions. "Go on, let's go home."Home, it sounded strange in her mouth to say home with it not meaning the empty mansion with her father, it meant an apartment, with Ian and soon to be Alex, and it was nice to think about, she could even get them a new couch. If they would except it, they were good people, they just weren't so lucky, and she felt they deserved to live nice if anything. ||Thank you :3 it's okay haha.||

Tension rose as he realized what she was thinking when she said it, uh oh, that didn't sound too safe nor good. He said nothing as he let her decide, but her way of deciding meant that she had to let her skin make contact with his. Goosebumps rose from his arms as he kept his violet eyes directly on her, not backing down regardless of the fact that she was tempting him so much more than she could possibly comprehend. Just as he thought he would have to intervene she chose to be a good girl and he winked at her as she slid inside the seat, "Smart choice." He whispered as he closed the door behind her and smirked, that certainly had proved to be interesting.
Waving goodbye to a few of his friends, he slipped into the front seat and buckled up. Eyeing her, he pointed directly to the seat belt and smirked before putting the car in gear and backing out of the parking lot with a speed that people would dare to call demonic. "Tomorrow is the first trial...are you nervous?" He asked, knowing it wasn't the best conversation starter but he needed to know a few things first.

Smart choice wasn't the words she would have chose, she was being a good girl, and that wasn't smart at all to her, it was more fun to be a bad girl. She rose an eyebrow before buckling herself in and getting used to his driving took her a minute but she shrugged it off, she would get used to it eventually. She had been watching the moon out the window and when Ian spoke up she looked at him and let out a sigh before looking down at her feet. "I am. I know Alex isn't going to want me to be there to testify, plus if anything their going to say I suffer from Stockholm's Syndrome."She slipped the memory card from her dress and looked at it "The only thing I have to prove that we got along and he didn't hurt me, is the pictures on here."
That was all she had, those pictures, and they could still roll her into Stockholm's Syndrome whether she liked it or not, that would be the trump she might not be able to pass over. "Of course I'm nervous, I mean, I haven't even talked to Alex's lawyer, does he have one? If I just show up, it wouldn't do anything, they wouldn't know I wanted to testify, and me being there and what I have would do nothing."She was more than nervous, she was scared, if it didn't work, Alex would be stuck in jail. Then what would she do? Visit every once in awhile for years? She couldn't handle being away from him. "What if it doesn't work, I would never forgive myself."She ran her hand into her hair and looked at Ian "What do I do?" ||Whaa? No, not true. I only changed mine because yours looked so good!||

The ride was a long one and Ian was running into pure red lights. "Damnit." He muttered as he had to slow down once more and stop to wait for a red light. He glanced over at her and found her looking at him with those pleading eyes she managed so well. "Alex won't have a say. Sadly we have one of the worst lawyers out there but he's a great guy. We knew him since way back when." He glanced curiously at the memory card and his lips twitched, "What pictures are on there anyway?" He didn't think his brother would take pictures with anyone. Though he knew that Alexander was in love with his camera, it was his second most prized possession.
Ian chuckled and let his eyes return to the road as the light turned green and his engine roared to life. He put his hand on hers and gave it a light squeeze. "Don't worry Kairi, you'll knock them dead. Especially if you wear a tight skirt and a nice top." He winked jokingly.
"In all seriousness, I'm sure if you just stick to your story then it'll all come out right okay?"

Kairi herself hadn't noticed the red lights, she had been trying to ignore Ian's driving, seeing how hectic it was. She looked at Ian and gave him a small smile "Well, I guess it makes up for being a bad lawyer then huh? Do you have his number? I wanna see if I can get into contact with him."If he was a nice guy he would hopefully feel how much she wanted to keep Alex from going to jail. She couldn't handle it if he went to jail because of something that did her more good than harm. She looked at the memory card and smiled "There's a picture of me and Alex on here. I had been baking and we were messing around, we both ended up covered in batter and we took a picture together, I was licking his cheek and we looked really happy."If that wasn't a friend or more than friend fun picture she didn't know what was. "We looked like best friends."It felt like a sad memory now that it had been ruined but she was determined to get Alex back.
She looked at Ian's hand on her's and smiled before laughing, giving his own hand a small squeeze. "You bet, i'll have to look professional but hot."She could pull that off. She looked out the window and nodded "Yeah, lets just hope it's not a tough crowd, or that im a better smooth talker than I think I am."She muttered, thinking it over, she had to be careful with her words when in front of everyone.

The red lights kept coming and his body tensed, wanting very much to let the car's motor run faster and faster. Sighing, he distracted himself by keeping his mind into the conversation. He could hear the desperation in her voice when she spoke of his brother and he felt a tinge of jealousy course through him. How the hell was he going to live like this when he could practically feel himself wanting to pounce the girl next to him? The very same girl who his brother had fallen madly for.
"Don't worry, Jack's a great guy. I'll call him tonight to schedule an early meeting if that'll make you feel better." He shot her a wink and watched as her expression changed from happy to sad when describing the experience with her brother.
"Woah woah hold up! You expect me to believe that Alex was cool enough to get all messy with you and some batter? Damn, guess my little brother isn't a complete mess."
Ian let out a large laugh as he let go of her hand and put it back onto the shift. "If anything happens, I'll cut in. I'll save you." He assured her before running a red light, accidentally. Frowning, he shot a glance around before sighing. He didn't mean to run a red light but he was nervous too and it was beginning to show. His brother was all he had and he didn't want to think of him behind bars.

God she hoped Alex made it, she could feel the tension in the car, the sexual tension. She had that with Alex as well but they never went that far, because she had blocked him off, spitting a lie, but now, with Ian... What could she do? She was attracted to Ian too, which didn't fair well for either of them having to be with each other until the trails were done, and then after that if she chose to stay with them, which she most likely would. She ignored it, giving Ian a smile "Thank's, let's hope he can work me into Alex's testimony."She figured they could, and she could try and help Jack with it if she could, she was no lawyer but she could lay out a good argument.
A laugh escaped her and she nodded at Ian "Oh yeah, he even played hide and seek with me too"She grinned "Maybe he just acts like a mess around you so you won't get jealous of his awesomeness."She teased, they were both awesome, she wouldn't lie, and gave her a good laugh when they were together too.
She looked at Ian, looking him over, he would save her. She looked back out the window and hoped she didn't need saving, if they figured out that Ian was involved he would get arrested too. "Thank you. I just hope I won't need a court knight. I don't want to have to start defending you too, the pressure would crush me!"She tried not to be to stressed about it, but there was a lot on her shoulder's from her view. She watched him run the light and sighed "Oh my god, Ian, if we get pulled over im totally kicking your a** when we get home!"The word home sounded funny in her mouth again, but she figured she would get used to it after awhile.

Night had fallen and he wondered silently if Kairi was enjoying herself wherever she was. More than likely she was with her father, nicely tucked in a blanket and snuggled against a pillow, her thoughts completely void of him. He sighed quietly unsure of what to do in the small cramped space they had given him. Did they really expect him to do something entertaining in this s**t hole? He felt like pounding his head hard against the bars like those criminals he had seen on television, he had never imagined himself as one. Yet he had seen this coming when he had first kidnapped the young rich girl, he chuckled remembering how annoyed he was at his brother because he had to be the one to kidnap the snobby girl. When in reality he was the lucky one, he had been able to capture her first and she in turn had captured his heart. Cheesy as it sounded; it was more than true.
The camera in his hand twirled and he wondered whether he should take some pictures of what he jail life was like. He reconsidered it when he realized that if he was jailed for a long time they would take his camera and give it back to his brother. He didn't want his brother to see himself inside a jail cell, that would stir too many emotions.
Alexander frowned and grinned still as he thought of his brother in his sharp clothing a while ago, it was clear he was heading to a party. Hopefully it was to distract himself and not to do something stupid like sleep with another woman or even worse, take up his drug problem. He shook the bad thoughts away and turned on the camera to look through his pictures; a habit that kept him from going insane and only brought him closer to Kairi in some form. The picture he saw was a new one and he was surprised, actually he was more touched than shocked. They must've done something to his camera! He glanced through a few more pictures and realized that she had done "I love you" in subtle way through hand shapes. He wondered if she meant it or if she was joking around with the camera. Regardless he smiled as he saw her fooling around with the camera, the lighting was terrible but he could make out that she had large bags under her eyes and yet he still found her breathtaking. It was the first time he had seen her clearly since they had been separated. He was about to switch the camera off and look through the rest of the pictures later, when he saw a video. A video? He played it and listened carefully while chuckling towards the end.
I think I've...The last picture he saw was one of her smiling brightly at the camera, her eyes twinkling with that mischief he had grown to love.
I think I've fallen in love...

Restraining himself he sped up and passed a few lights before they dared to turn red on him. He was fed up with red lights, this was something he and his brother had shared in common. They both hated stopping for whatever reason. "He can and he will. You're probably the strongest thing to hardcore evidence we have. Relax." He reassured her once more though he was silently praying that she was able to set his last blood out. His father had left them and his mother... well let's not get into that now shall we?
"He played with you!? What the ********! He never did s**t with me!" He bit his lip with a sort of brotherly jealousy as he thought of Alex joking around. It sounded completely distinct of how his brother normally acted and then he looked at Kairi and understood.
His brother must have been falling hard for her if he was willing to do so much for her and there was that twinge of guilt again. s**t. "I think he probably did. You probably put something in your food to make him act all goofy. Whatever it was, you have to bring it to my house and feed it to him. I need to play this game with you guys. Sounds epic fun!" He chuckled and braked hard as they came to a red light. Boo.
"I'm not going to get us killed. We're like a block away. Chillax chick." He chuckled as he sped up once more now that the light had turned green again.

Kairi watched the building fly by when they weren't at a stop light and chewed her lip, she was their evidence wasn't she? Her father was going to be pissed though. The thought made her grin a little, she had never done anything to piss off her father before, she had obeyed his every wish but now she had run away from home, and was testifying against the man he hated because he stole her. "Relax..right."She took a deep breath and thought maybe she could take up yoga, she had always kind of wanted to do that. Maybe after the trails she could take up yoga.
Oh this reaction was just so much fun wasn't it? Ian freaked out over the littlest things Alex did with her, it was great. "Mmhmm, it was great~ Maybe we'll play a game with you later"She couldn't help but start laughing afterwards, it just sounded so silly to her. Being jealous out of playing games.
"Really? Now why would I go as far to drug his food? I just put a little love in all my cooking."She smiled, a cheesy smile that wasn't really serious at all, but this wasn't that serious of a topic, and they both needed to relax. "But i'll be sure to bring the fun and games to the house."She chuckled, making a little heart on the window, because, why not? That was just a classical shape, whenever you drew on something for no reason, what came out? A heart. Duh.
She pursed her lips, looking at Ian skeptically "You say that but still, it could happen! Do not doubt the skill of cops. Their ninja's I tell ya, and if you get pulled over, they will see me and know im not supposed to be out of my house, my dad has connections."She could assure him of that, and she wouldn't have been found in the first place if he didn't now would she?
