fenix smile "alrighty then" he said getting up "oh, and im fenix" he said walking over to the door he walked in, making sure the door was left open so mist could enter, the house was small but it had a second level, sitting on the couch was an old lady, she was about 50 she saw fenix and smiled "hello dear, why didnt you come in earlier....oh whats this?" she said looking over at mist "you brought a small visitor" she said with an even happier tone "uh yeah nana, sorry i didnt tell you" he said as he made an ushering motion for mist to come in

Kyoshi woke up with a start, sitting upright in his bed. His bed was drenched in sweat. Something was wrong outside. It wasn't the usual wrong either. Something in his sluggish mind nagged at him to get up and go find out what it was. With a rush he went a changed cloths, then equiping himself with his katana and .92 Beretta. Going out to the living room he noted that Dusk was gone. Maybe some were she was more comfortable, was his guess but he felt an uncertainty grow at the pit of his stomache. Running out into the rain, he let his long strong legs lead him out to where Zaines place was to see if she made it there.

Zaine ran to where he heard Dusk and looked around, seeing someone carrying something. "Hey!" He sprinted, giving chase, the guy just ran faster. Zaine's old instinct kicked back in. Reaching down, he grabbed one of the many bottles that littered the streets, broke it, and sped up. He almost reached the guy when he saw Kyoshi.

It was just a passing look, and quickly, the focus was brought back to Dusk. With a growl, he caught up with the man, and slit him across the back. A pained cry echoed around him. The man dropped to his knees, and Dusk slid across the floor. Zaine turned the guy around and had his foot against his throat.

"Is there a reason you went after this girl?"


Dusk looked at Zaine with a bewildered look. "Wow...that was...wow...." She didn't know that he could move that fast...and be that...scary. Zaine's eyes were dark, and he looked ready to kill. But...she recognized the guy.

"Zaine...that's one of the hunters..."


Zaine looked at the face of the man, cursed, and slit his throat. "Well s**t."

Fenix leaned back trying to find a more comfortable position "well...i dont exactly know her...i just happened to find her after she stole my money" he said pulling his feet up to the couch and crossing them "the truth is is only know her name" he said, a short laugh escaping his mouth. nana returned with a plate in each hand, one had two fried chicken legs and a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich, the other was a bowl filled with milk "i wasnt sure as to what you wanted so i just picked something simple for you, fenix i made you a sandwhich" fenix grabbed the sandwhich while she set the two plates down by mist "well i'll be upstairs getting some sleep" she went to the stairs and picked up coree on her way up

Mist's mouth watered. "Th-Thanks!" He practically attacked the food. "She can make good stuff..." He then registered what Fenix had said and laughed. "And you don't mind? You don't seem to resent her for it..."


Zaine was seething. "Kyoshi. When will you be gone, and for how long? I need you to watch Dusk."

Dusk jumped up. "Zaine! I don't need a baby-sitter!" "Obviously you do!" He wasn't loud, but his voice was hard. It was new. Dusk had only seen Zaine like this once, and that was when he had saved her the first time. When he was still doing his job. Zaine turned to Kyoshi.

"Well? No one else is capable of watching her. Then again..." He sniffed the air. "She smells like your place...I guess even you can't watch her..."

Cathrine licked her lips after her kill. It was a very skinny ally cat that happened to be in the wrong place at the right time... for her anyways. She looked around, and listened carefully. That's when she heard it, a twig breaking, glass shattering. She had to get out before they came for her, she grinned blood still dripping for her mouth, "Delicious," she said in her soft melodic voice, softer the wind itself. Her cloak floated around her as she jumped up and took off towards her home base, her living quarters.
She noticed the brick building up a head. She laughed softly and jumped into a broken window, it cutting her skin slightly, "Crap," she muttered looking at the bleeding wound.

Cathrine felt a heat come around her, she looked around. That's when she noticed a fiery demon in her living quarters, "Well I can't kill you... so who may you be?" she asked the strange new creature.
