"I would say human military. Pheonixs would have been more flashy and bolder than to sit and wait to pop out like these people did. As for why I would guess they saw the pheonix who attacked this man as he escaped and they came to investigate. Good thing we got what we came for. Oh but I seemed to have forgotten. You haven't met me yet have you Elizabeth?" -Strider kind of seemed embarresed talking to someone who didn't even know he was-

"Actually I don't know you." She laughed. "That happens a lot though. There are so many people that come and go, its hard for me to know them all." Elizabeth held her hand out. "I'm Elizabeth Randall. Nice to meet you."

Cher nodded with what Strider said, then went back to staring down at the ground, biting her lip. They were moving away from the factory, and she could barely see the road that the cars must've taken now.
The captain stared at Chronos, seeing his expression, for a minute, then dipped his head in a nodding fashion. "Who else would be so fond of sending their "dearest friend" these--" He thought for a second. "--"heartfelt" messages?"

"Honestly? Not a whole lot. I just know that some are good, some are bad. They came to take over the world, and I'm willing to do anything to stop that." She had a serious look. "If you know anything more, I'm willing to listen."
"Yeah, right. Heartfelt my a**." Chronos wish that this guy would just hurry it up. He heard a soft buzzing in the far, far distance, and a familiar, sweet scent was faint. His heart began to speed up just a bit, wondering what she'd think, she'd do... He shook his head and focused back on the current issue. "What does he want?"

"They must've come from somewhere though." Cher said, more to herself. "I mean, humans evolved from monkeys, right?" Even though she was half-elf, she was also half-human, which meant she was "part monkey" that way also.
The captain heard the hum too, thinking with disgust of the man who'd stopped him from taking a Keeper. He agreed with Chronos's impatient tone though, time was running out for him and his message. He turned into his human form and jumped down from his perch, then walked over to Chronos, a ghost of a smile of his face. He was a little taller than the other phoenix, so he had to bend a little to be able to speak where his ear was. He whispered the message he was entrusted with to Chronos softly, but loud enough for him to hear every word, then stepped back to see his reaction to it.

-Strider opened one eye and sat up- "Maybe but those are laws of science and from what i've seen they do not function under the laws of science. For one thing they can choose which form to take at will which by the laws of science is immpossible. So I believe the pheonixes function under the laws of magic. Now just incase none here understand the laws of magic I shall explain. The laws of magic dictate that all things are possible if the proper amount of energy is obtained also that though science dictates that all species must evolve to advance magic dictates that species may bypass evolution and come into being without need of a begging. In short an entire civilization can appear over night with no reason or warning." -Strider looks around at everyone-

Elizabeth stared at Strider for a moment. "That would make since." She said. "I need to learn more still." It was way to early for me to start leading the keepers... I'm so bad at this whole thing...
Chronos looked stunned. He pushed the captain away and stumbled back himself. He couldn't do it, not again. "That son of a b***h!" Chronos hissed. "Get out of here! Before I rip your throat out!" He threatened the phoenix.

((Alright, you can kill the captain if you want, Kii. I'm going to off him anyway. =D))
Cher blinked. "Huh. That's all...that magic can do?" She asked, still fidgeting with her crossbow. That was a lot of leeway to her. "Hey, I thought you said you were going to sleep."
The captain held his arms out defensively but didn't leave. "I cannot leave until I have an answer." Technically, that wasn't true. This was becoming a little fun to him, and even though he heard the hum of the helicopters getting louder, he didn't feel like flying away. That half human man would likely be on one of the flying vehicles. And besides, what could a traitor do to him?

"All? Hahahah oh no like I said Magic can make all things possible. Even this." -Strider held out his hand and a light shown in his hand and an apple materialized. Strider then took a bite out of it- "See? Now to beat the pheonixs you have to fight fire with fire or as it would be magic with fire and if things about pheonixs are true than they will just be reborn if we kill them but if thats true you can't fight them. So I suggest we find the source. Where they came into being. From there I can counter that source and basically they all vanish." -And for effect he made his apple disappear-

Elizabeth took all that Strider was saying in. "Yeah, that's true. I haven't really thought about that they can come back to life. But all of the phoenixes that have 'died' for us in line of battle have never come back to us. What could have happened with them?"
Chronos was furious. He swore he'd kill Echo one of these days, but he had tight strings rapped around him. It seemed impossible to escape. Chronos glared deep into the Captain's eyes. Surely Echo wouldn't miss him. Actually, knowing Echo, he'd most likely kill the mother f**ker anyways. Chronos grew a wicked grin and smile, approached the other phoenix, fire spreading around them in a circle. "Lets go." He dared.

"Are you still keeping track of him?" Echo asked, referring to the phoenix captain. The female nodded and replied. "Yes, he's done what you told him to, but..." "But?" "It seems that Chronos wishes to fight him." Echo was silent before he burst out laughing. "Let him fight. Oh, I wish I had your gift right now, it should be a sight worth seeing!" The captain nodded and his grin matched Chronos's. "Very well. I'd like to see how well a traitor fights when he lives with humans for so long." His right hand caught on fire and the captain struck out at the other phoenix's face.

"Well it is said that a pheonix turns to ash before it's reborn so more than likely they retreive the bodies after the battles and cremate them and from their cremated ashes their bodies are restored." -Strider leaned back to fall asleep- "Oh and Cher yes I did say I was going to sleep." -Strider closed his eyes-

"Oh, that would be so neat to watch you would think." Elizabeth thought aloud. She looked out of the open area of the helecopter and gazed the headquarters closing in. She looked off to the distance, seeing a faint orange-red glow deep in the woods. "If I'm not mistaken, that looks like fire over there."
Chronos held his hand, catching the captian's fist in a tight clench. "Is that really all you're going to do? Punch like a... human?" He growled the word. Chronos jumped back, and fire surrounded him in a vortex as his bones were rearrange and he grew wings of fire. He flew up, fire escaping his mouth down at the captain.
