After a few nice quite hours of sleep, Kora awoke. She was hungry again... But she didn't want to get dressed. Slowly she pulled on her lab coat and buttoned it up at high as it would go, then ran a brush though her hair. No one would car about her appearance...right? She hoped not because she didn't want to wash another set of clothes just because she had to go out and find food.

Dinner was being served when she got to the cafeteria. She got a bottle of apple juice, steamed vegetables, a kiwi, and a rice with peanut butter. She picked at her food, eating but still trying to wake up enough to not fall asleep at the table. Dinner had just started and not many people where there yet, she felt confident that she would finish and be able to retreat back to her room in a short amount of time.

Moments later, Kairi awoke, peering around the hallway she was in. Her body was aching, and she knew that she had blacked out once more from over exerting herself. She hated how she couldn't even run a mile without passing out by the end of it. At least she was beginning to get used to it, and no longer did she panic and begin drawing energy into her body from surrounding objects like crazy, threatening to destroy herself and anyone within a ten foot radius.

Pulling herself up to a sitting position, she leaned back against a wall and began to draw in energy slowly from the air that moved around her. Everything, she had learned, had energy from which she could draw from. It was a small trick she could do when she was alone, because people still looked at her oddly sometimes when they saw her surrounded by small olden orbs, the physical form the energy she drew took. After she regained her strength a little more, she began to pull herself up the wall to a standing position, and once in that, she began her walk once more, this time, she knew the destination.

She knocked on the door. "Dr. James... Can I talk to you for a moment? It's concerning Agni," she said in a soft voice, her cheeks painted the slightest hint of red from blushing.

Akiko saw a girl walk into the cafeteria, she had finally sat down after she settled on some soup and tea. Though the soup wasn't quite to her liking, she made a mental note to request some udon or something similar or perhaps she would order it online.
She sipped her tea a couple tables down from the girl, glancing at her for a few moments before standing up. She picked up her bowl of soup and the cup of tea, discarded the soup and then walked over to the girl (Kora) and said, "Mind if I join you..? It seems odd to sit so far away when there isn't any other person in here."

Derek looked up from his arsenal and stopped singing the song but remained in a cheery mood. "The situation is dire, Rio." He looked back down at the mines and picked one out, along with a detonator. "They deactivated my access card and the bakery closes in a couple hours." The trainer started to hum the song now.

Ami shrugged. "Well its gone now...Hey! Rico is done! Come on!" Ami felt around and found Jojo's hand, pulling her out to the center of the gym.

Jason finally got the request through. In a couple of hours to a couple of days the approval would come through. He sighed, placing his head on his desk. Hearing a knock on his door, Jason looked up. "Agni? What about him?" He realized who he was talking to and stood up. "Oh Kairi! Come in and take a seat."

What was this imbecile thinking? Did he really plan on using explosives to leave the facility just for a visit to the bakery? His plan wasn't even thought out. Any damage to the facility and he'd be gunned down before being able to escape the premises or taken down by one of the super soldiers. There was absolutely no positive ending here. But he was crazy and could detonate the explosives at any moment. To stop the threat without letting his enemy know, Rico had only one choice. He would melt the insides of each of the mines if it came down to that. On the outside, they would appear exactly the same, but they would not work.

"I simply can't allow you to continue your current chain of actions, Derek. There is nothing you can do to continue them anyways," He said across the room, at his temporary enemy. "Back down now or I will be forced to take aggressive actions. And if I do, you won't have any chance of defending yourself."

He pushed his glasses back up to the top of his nose, and looked at his enemy, analyzing him. He was apparently crazed. This was not a situation Rico liked. But if worse came to worse, he would kill him. He would more than likely end up subduing him and bringing him to the Psychiatric Ward.

"What's it going to be, Derek?"

As Ami pulled Jojo to the center of the gym, she couldn't help but still wonder who was singing earlier. Oh well Rico already went to take care of it I'll just ask him about it later Jojo told herself. Besides sparring with Ami sounded a lot more appealing than following a random voice.

User ImageRinie clapped and tried to jump. "Ya!" She grinned and then went back to her copying of the fighters. "Ow..." She said as she hit the wall with her hand. She kept on and on triping over her feet every now and then.

Rinie fell onto her side and felt a sharp pain in her right leg. She bit down hard on to her tongue to keep from screaming. She looked around. 'Where is everyone?' She thought as she pulled her self out the door. 'Must not scream.' She kept telling herself. 'Be strong like big sisters and brothers.'

Ami backed up so she wasn't so close to Jojo. "Alright. I promise not to cheat with my psychic powers so we'll be on an even playing field" There was another reason too, she had used it three times already...She didn't like using it more than that... She got into her attack stance and waited for Jojo's move.

"Ok then I won't use mine too!" Honestly Jojo didn't really care if Ami did use her powers, she was just glad to have a real opponent to fight rather than simulations like Rico had. She'd get more of a workout that way too. Jojo waited a minute to see if Ami would be the first to attack. Feeling and hearing nothing Jojo went on the offensive with a quick punch aimed at Ami's gut.

Ami heard Jojo shift and moved her hands to her defense stance. She blocked Jojo's punch and threw her fist towards Jojo, at an unknown area. It would probably be located between her face and her chest.

Jojo barely dodged Ami's punch. She could feel Ami's fist make slight contact as it glided past her left cheek. But it wasn't enough to keep her from not attacking. Quickly she responded back with a low side kick towards where she thought Ami's legs were.

((Sorry, I haven't posted in awhile and that this one is as equally boring as the other ones have been. I'm trying to get back into my grove.))
Footsteps pounded outside of his door. Since he could hear no audible click, the teen could only guess if it was a soldier in their casual attire or if it was a scientist. Personally, he prayed for the first. Pressing his forehead against the door, the teen growled unhappily. The light above his head was flickering ominously as if the growing sparks around his body wasn't enough warning that his powers were raging out of control.
Cracking open the door, Agni peered outside. The hallway was void of people and other objects. And so with a boost of confidence, he exited the broom closet and made his way towards one of the labs. Soldiers were prohibited from entering without access cards...or whatever they called them or without the permission granted by a scientist. Agni could no longer wait. With a flare of energy, the sensors were 'ka-put' (Sp?) and he snuck in. Now that he was in came the hard part: finding either Jason or the draining machine.
Ducking down the corridor, Agni heard some footsteps. Holding his breath, he neared one of the sliding doors. It was locked tight, power was cut off from the sliding door. With the ease of an expert thief, the teen placed his hand upon the metal surface. Channeling his powers down through his veins, through his fingers, and across his skin to the door, Agni manipulated the electrical energy to open the door. Quietly, the doors opened and, with the same ease, they closed again. Utilizing caution, the soldier waited inside until the footfalls became to soft for him to hear them further.
"Gah." The breath was torn from his lungs as a wave of energy powered the lights for a moment. The flare of light irritated his eyes, disrupting his vision. Rubbing his eyelids, he opened them once more. The light messed it up enough so that he would have to give it a few more minutes. The longer he stayed in there, the likelier it was that he would be cut. The sooner he got out, the better. Of course, the even better thing to do would be to die in an extruciatingly painful way that would avenge Enki's murder.
Agni got up. There was no time left, he needed to re-establish his natural current. Looking around the dark lab, there was nothing that could divert any energy if some should happen to spark off.
'I've just gotta be careful.' Walking over to a corner, he slid down the wall. Inter weaving his fingers and pressing his thumbs together, the teen closed his eyes and released the breath he was unknowningly holding.
And so the process began. First, Agni needed to secure the safety of his organs; placing a sort of barrier of energy around them. Well with the massive amounts he absorbed into his body, that was easy. The second was more complicated. He had to quarantine the energy into his body; that way no massive power spikes or waves could kill or injure anyone around him. After a few tense moments, the energy was locked inside of him. 'Lovely.' He thought, sarcasticly. Now was the hardest part, pushing the electricity into a specially develop set of cords that ran the length of his body, acting like little viens for the energy to traverse at his will. Plus, he also had to make sure that the energy was running in the same direction. 'First things first. Pick a direction....Clockwise.' Visualizing the motion of a clock in his head, the teen applied that to his body. Starting at his stomach, the energy would pass around his heart, and up to the shoulder. Then, it would pass down his arms, to his hands and further dowm more his fingers. Then, across his hands, the energy was continue back up his arms and then drop south to his stomach. There, it would start the process again. With the cycle, the energy would be trapped inside his form unless he broke it and began channeling it with his own will. Opening his eyes, the teen could feel exhaustion tearing at his limbs telling them to disobey his orders and sleep. 'Next up, Draining away a majority of the energy.'
Glancing around at the lab, he couldn't identify it. 'Obviously, it's not Jason's. I gotta find his and see if he'll help me.'

Derek looked up at Rico once more though in a less-than cheery state of mind. He gave him a smile then looked back down at his arsenal thinking of the current situation. Everything with in the Arsenal, the facility itself...hell even the food trays in the cafeteria were metal. DAMN YOU MAGNETO! Was the first thing that popped into the trainer's head. Looking up at Rico again his smile grew to what looked to be a truly forced smile. "Okay Rico. You win. You're like Magneto and Wolverine in one, I can't win against either, and both would be suicidal."

And with that he gave up and started back towards his room. That is...he hoped to get back there to implement his plan. Just as he was about to leave he was intercepted by a group of Trainers. Not the most popular one's either.

"Echo! Just the man we were looking for." The leader of the group said with a grin.

Derek frowned at the use of his last name. He hated it, but was used to it.

"Listen, we heard you've been denied access out of the facility, and us being nice guys, we thought we'd invite you to dinner and beer with us." The leader, a Lieutenant in the US Army, held his arms out like a father looking for a hug from a son.

Scratching the back of his head, Derek acted like he was thinking hard on it, when really his mind was made up with an answer. "Ah...no thanks, sir. I've promised a sparring match with Magneto over there." He jabbed his thumb over his shoulder towards the general direction of Rico.

The Lieutenant smiled for a short while then broke into a chuckle. "You know Sergeant, you're a real work of art. Why do you care for these...things, so much? You're so nice to them. Give them promises and keep them. Staying here and spending time with them rather than going out with your own kind. These things can't even function the way they're supposed to."

Derek glared at the man, his hands balling up into fists but remained at his side. He listened to his words and didn't bother to wince at his rank. Sergeant Derek Echo had a nice ring to it. Even though he was a Sergeant 8 times already, having been demoted for many different reasons in the course of his military career. When the Officer was done Derek gave a little chuckle himself. "Sir, you don't understand. These...people. Aren't just tools of the trade. They have feelings, they have thoughts and ideas, sure they matured physically faster than we have, but that makes them no different than we are. You say they can't function the way they were supposed to? Rico here already completed a few real missions. Then let's not focus on them and focus on us. More specifically you."

The corner of the officer's mouth twitched as all eyes fell on him. He smoothed back his gelled hair with forced calmness and coolness. "What about me? My impressive combat record?"

Echo barked out in laughter. "Impressive? Let's call it a major failure. I've read your file, Lieutenant. The only way you got here was through your Uncle who just so happens to be one of those few individuals privileged to sit in the Pentagon. You went to West Point as soon as you could and graduated with high-marks in most of your classes except the one that stressed Combat Tactics in live exercises. You then went on into the US Army and quickly climbed the ladder to your current rank via desk jobs, and your Uncle. Then you put in for a transfer to an Infantry unit currently deployed in the middle-east. Your first and only combat op came when you and your Platoon were scheduled to go out on a Long Range Patrol. You went out, then froze up when you met heavy resistance in a town in which a previous detail dubbed as secured. You decided the best course of action was to retreat. You received the purple heart for getting shot in the back by the enemy while you lead your retreat. Unfortunately, getting shot saved your life. Your entire Platoon was wiped out, and you were transferred out after being rescued. Currently, you retain your rank. But several days ago you returned from a JAG session in which they concluded you to not be court-martialed. Your actions in that combat op were being surveyed via satellite, and when your Infantry Commander got hold of the footage he wanted to tear a new one on the spot. Now tell me, sir. What part of that do you think is impressive? And what part of that do you think is better than any of the work these Soldiers do?"

When he was done the Lieutenant was red faced with anger and embarrassment. This whole time he had been expressing to everyone that he had gotten his purple heart by doing his job as an officer to his platoon. And now they knew the truth. But who else weren't as truthful about their combat records? A few seeing as the group the Officer had with him lost only a couple individuals. Derek moved closer towards the man so that they were face to face, one glaring at the other. "If you tell me your West Point marks were the most impressive part of your record I will do your previous commander a favor and tear you a new one myself." That was the end of their conversation. Truly pissed off, Derek moved around the group in front of him and headed to his room to do something to cool off. If not, explosives would be the least of a door's problem.
