Aedrus locked himself in his underground chamber when the sun came up, sleeping until the sun sank below the earth. He opened up the ground and cleaned himself in the way of his people, with only a thought. Rising to his library he began reading his book again.

She was up before he was, and he's hear her moving about, exploring the house.

She jumped a bit, startled, then turned to face him with a shrug. "I slept okay, if that's what you mean. Any clue what the weather will be like out there tonight?"

"Yeah, and while I live off of you even more, I'm even more in your debt and under your control. N o thanks. A job is something thats mine. And anyway, if I earn my own money, I can spend it on whatever I want, and it'll get me some fresh air, exersize, and a chance to meet more people. Over all, other then the work aspect, it's an all around win scenario. How is magic viewed on this world anyway? Like... put it down under special skills good, or what?"

Aedrus's natural instincts were sweeping up and he was having a hard time pushing them back down. "Saying you even believe magic is possible will get you persecuted. I do not think you understand though. The natural instincts in me are not as lax as I what I am showing you. It is a constant battle for me to even let you out of my sight, much less to think about you with others..." He saw her brushing up against another body, male, just in a work place and it ignited the fires of jealousy in him. "This would assure that I know you are safe and well cared for, as well as aiding in the safety of mortals and immortals alike." He poured her a small glass of Vodka from an end table. "I do not say these things to scare you," Aedrus said as he handed the glass to her, "Only to help you better understand the war that is going on within me."

She rolled her eyes and drank down the vodka. "So I'll pretend to be human, and you;ll get over your jealousy, yeah? I agreed to stay here for the time being, that is all I have agreed to.

"You claim I'm so special and important, but you k now nothing about me! You haven't tried to talk to me in the least! All that seems to matter to you is that I stay close, but I don't actually matter. It could have been Rachel, or snake, Flames, it could have been RATTLE! You decided or had decided for you or whatever, that I'm supposed to be this big thing in your life, but you don 't care a lick about ME! And for that I'm supposed to meekly let you take care of me, and become a hermit so you don't have to worry about your jealousy and overprotectiveness? I'm not a trinket to collect! I'm not a stupid pokemon, gotta catch them all, or a rare red garados or what have you! I am home, I'm just another one of Mother's unwed daughters, I go to Xmu, I'm just another freak of nature trying to save the world, student of baldy! I go to Thes, I'm Rachel's little sister, and I come here and I'm supposed to roll over and just confine my whole being to being your life mate? No supposed to take a job, know anyone else so I can, again, be wholly defined by some one else?! I AM A PERSON! That makes me more then just your arm candy!"

Aedrus frowned, ashamed of himself. "I am trying to get to know you, though it is not exactly an easy thing to do. I cannot get to know you if you continue to make it so that I cannot be around you. I do not even know your name, offically, but I have given you mine...I would know you for the person you are, because you are no trinket, that is true." He reached out to put a comforting hand on her shoulder, though he really wanted to sweep her up in his arms and show her how he could cherish her.
