((sonuvabitch... thats what happens when you stay up too late...))
Nich knew she was repulse, he could feel it. She had sat there for quite awhile thinking, and he knew what she was thingking. He knew that hed been horribl eoto do that, he knew how she felt about it because it was the same as every other girl. He also knew two facts, she was vulnerable, and he could take advantage of that... easily.
Then she stood and walked away and that was too much, he let his fist go, but before his grin came back she stood up. He lay back and sighed a sharp breath, He chuckled to himself as he wiped his bloody shaking hand on the wall.
He heard her scream then, and his reaction was instant. he feared for her safety, and that was more important than anything. One thought came before every other, and the cold was strcken from his mind, the pain was gone, all that remained was adrenaline and logic. He brushed her down kind of hard onto the mattress, and moved to his feet infront of her. he scanned the room quick, and then looked back at her and noticed her hand. That was weird.... really weird.
"Maddy... here. he used his now thoroughly stained t-shirt to wipe up her hand, and he hugged her close to him. ".. what happened?

[[ A-okay~ ^^]] She stared at him, looking up to his face, her body shaking as she slid to his lap, grabbing his arms with her hands tightly she pulled them as tightly as she could around herself. Shaking violently against his jagged chest and stomache. She turned to stare at him, her lips quivering as she closed her eye's, sucking in an immense amount of air as she tried hard to breath. Scared out of her own witts.
"I want--" she paused panting, she was finally affraid of what this house could do. "I want to go home," she choked out quietly as she slowly came to a stop. Her body still in Nich's arms as she tried to coprehend what was going on. She couldn't figure it out, it was driving her insane. "I..I-I don't know..." she muttered.
Something so small seemed so large to her, the blood reminded her of a million nights before, some day's, it wasn't even her own blood, one day...It was anything but her own blood. 'No ones watching, it's okay to be broken sometimes.' She remembered that line the best. She beathed deeply, slowly calming herself. What had striken fear into her was the fact that, what would happen if this occured again, but it was her blood... "Let's...Let's just get out of here..."

He squeezed her close to him trying to keep her warm and safe. She wasa trembling, hed never had to deal with fear like this, but he assumed thatsomeone elses fear would be far worse than his own.
His insides were cold, but his eyes were hard, this wasnt funny, it was serious and he knew it.
"Maddy... we'll be okay i promise... I promise you ill get you out of here safe."
His mind raced, he didnt know what yo do, he knew he was strong enough and smart enough to solve any problem he had in his way, but this one wasnt in his way, it was aorund him somewhere, and he didnt exactly know what was wrong."
"Tell me about this place Maddy... in detail."
He knew if he could get her talking she'd calme down, and he knew heneeded backstory. Those cops from so long ago... seemed smart to him all of a sudden.

Madeling slowly stopped shaking in his arms, warmer now, but still frightend. She couldn't help but want to call him a 'Liar' it wasn't like this was the first time someone had made such a promise. Her mom made the same one to her and hung herself on the balcony the same morning, leaving the promise to crack her heart a little bit. Knowing escape was imposible from what her mom was promising.
Her eye's flashed to Nich's ankle, maybe her mom was trying to show her, death was the only way out. Maddy sighed deeply, she felt this obsurity, now the feeling of emptyness washed over her. Practically gut wrentching, she looked around the room for anything she could use. Her mind, eventually once convinced, since she rarly got to make it up on her own. Was almoat robitically programed to do whatever she'd acompished inside herself. "I---Don't---Know---Anything---About---The---House," she said in some strange monotone voice. She stared stright forward at the broken mirrior.
It was crazy what was happening, she could have sworn she saw Nich, in the future, in the woods, with her, beating her over the head with a large rock, she was tied down, her naked body laying still, only moving when she screamed. She shook her head, this place was absloutly mad. She needed out of her, out of Nich's arms, out of this house, home...No, not home...Somewhere else..

Maddy was catatonic in his arms, and it ached his heart to see her in apin, but it worried him to see it affecting her,and the worry over-rode the ahce.
He shook he r a bit and squared her shoulders to face him. he ducked his head slightly so he could stare into her blank gaze.
"Maddy listen to me right now, this is no time to go blank, and this is definately not a time to entertain your thoughts. Quit thinking... qui...."
Thats when it hit him. It was the ghosts. he'd done research on ghosts, and he'd invented things to deal with ghosts, but He'd never actually seen one. he never expected to, so for as much as he may have beleived Maddy, he never really expected it to have a bearing on his life so he didnt care.
"Lets go."
He picked herup and carried her into the hall.He didnt carry her like a woman, but like a child. he held her head into his shoulder so she couldnt see, and whispered a low Shhh so she couldnt here anything that was happening.
He didnt know where hte others were ashe set foot on the main florr. he assumed they'd found a way out, and gone to chill at the bloody roller disco, or whatever else was cool around here.
It was about an hour before the sun rose, but Maddy could not wait the long. He pressed up the stairs where the others had gone into the bathroom that Maddy's friend had used. He saw the unsettled dust and knew that she'd been there. then it hit him. The cellar.
He'd smashed the doors all to s**t when he fell. He ran back downstairs still holding his small fragile girlfriend and saw he didnt like the look of the stairs down to the cellar.
They were creepy,but he resolved to just put one foot ahead of another. So he began to descend into the darkness.

Maddy still, emotionless, lifeless almost, let him fondle her like a rag doll, picking her up, running around with her. "Why not?" she asked into his neck, which she'd taken the liberty to press her face in. Enhaling his sent, it intoixcated her, he didn't smell good, nor bad, but she wanted to remember him when all this was done. "Were all gonna die in here anyways," she said sourly, there was no denying that she was affraid, but her lips traced sad smiles, pointing to the fact that if the house didn't kill them, they'd kill themselves.. "It's either going to kill us...We'll kill eachother...Or I'll kill myself," she didn't include 'we'll' in the last one only I'll. Which was true. She'd herd it most of her life from by passing students, since she'd been like this for god knows how long.
'Oh, that girl, she'll end up killing herself," they'd predict like they actually knew. She squeezed her eye's shut tightly, the memorie almost stepping on her nerves, dancing around her lungs, and plunging whatever they could into her heart. She squeezed Nich, wanting down as they bounced slowly down the stairs, she could hear them creak underneath his feet. It was louder because of her extra dead weight. She grabbed the rail, her hands tugging, she slid from his arms quickly. "W-where are we going?" she stammered as she stared blankly at him again.
She was angrier now though...She had this undying pain,it was soothing...She wanted to take anyone who'd ever hurt her, and snap their necks in half...Stack them up and feed them to something. Make the die a vile death..Make them feel the emptyness she'd felt from the start only worse...Because even though, she'd almost always felt empty...Part of her had felt nothing but the wretched emptyness, which had become the darkest of paints...

Nich sighed. She walked beside him on the stairs but he pushed her behind him.He didnt think this would help but it made him feel more atease. he couldnt see, there was no more moonlight flooding the basement, but he could smell the fresh air as he stepped onto the cold cement floor.
He looked aorund to no avail when images flashed before his eyes ... Maddy cutting herself.... Maddy getting bullied at school... Maddy Lying broken on the ground... Maddy bleeding painfullyand unnatrually out of multiple places.... He shook his head hard and closed his eyews but they didnt stop, and he could here a quiet high-pitched laughing... a ghostly laugh.
Nich stepped on the broken glass and knew he was close to the cellar door when the laughing grew louder and He saw the last image that stayed burned intohis eyes.... The kid, face broken in wheezing outof a hole int the side of his face and blood slowly trickling all over Nich's knuckles.
He laughed

[Sorry to hear that. Well, nothings really happend. Nich and Maddy, having several moments, of randome and strange romance, and your still standing with the ghost, who'd momentarily had left you to laugh and the go back. ^^] Maddy sighed as she put her hands on his shoulders. He clearly wanted her behind him, not like she could see beside him anyways. She squeezed his shoulders a bit roughly as she squeeazed her eye's shut tight. Her hands flying to he rears in a quick motion as she sat down. The minds of the dead and the high pitched laughing were murderous. "I wanted to be creamted," she whined. Her eye's changing state to an empty black.
"I wish I hadn't killed myself...She confessed her love to me there."
"It sucks that they burried us serpretly when we died together."
"Heh, what was the point on living."
"I ******** hate you.."
"I wish I hadn't died a virgin." The words seemed strange to her, the dead usually weeped about missing there lively loved ones. But this was just ridicilus. She flicked her head up, like a puppet now. She grabbed Nich, pulling him to her. "Do you really want this?" She said, her eye's slowly changing back to the milky hazle colour. She shook slightly as she held him. She had to know...

Nich didnt know who he was talking to when he looked at Maddy just then. She looked rough, and it hurt his heart to see her like this.
He put his hand along the side of her face and kissed her softly..."Yes..."
Nich pulled her to her feet and held her close, she was perfect. She was perfectly in tough with her emotions, and perfectly coolheaded, the perfect company, and the perfect kisser even though she was new at it...
"Maddy i think I love you..."

She looked at him, stunned, she stopped shaking, and thinking. Her lips colided with his in a strange motion. Like the kiss actually mattered. Almost as if it was her own way of saying 'I love you, I think.' but works were better then lips, in her oppion. "You know Nich...An hour ago...That may have bothered me..Now I'm ready to call you a liar...But..I can't afford too... Because, well, I think I'm in love with you, too," she whispered in his ear quietly.
Her hand holding onto his akwardly as she squeezed it, playing with his fingers. "Let's find some way out," she said, reality hitting her. There love didn't matter. They'd die soon in here, it was only a matter of time truly before it happend. She wasn't planning on sticking around to that point, not at all, not one bit, not a chance.

Nich jogged his way dwn the stairs with maddy's hand in his... When he reached the landing he stopped her running and looked around. There was a dim glow from the faint street lights, but the moon had dissappeared and now the basement was pitch black, and he couldnt see where the cellar door was.
The beuaty was he knew that it couldnt be closed, he'd smashed it on his way in, and what seemed like misfortune 3 hours ago seemed like intense luck right about now.
That thought brought perspective into his mind. He barely knew Maddy... but he found resolve in knowing that maddy needed him. That was all he really needed, and who knows he luahed a little when he thought that maybe, just maybe Maddy had what he needed too.
"Maddy... We have to find the cellar door... its broken, and my eyes are really bad... can you see it?"
