Taking the dagger gently from Leif, Mersi stroked it in her hands, looking at her small reflection in the blade. She shrugged in responce. Twins? Possible... Eyes flying up to read her brother's face, a small shine entered the young teen's eyes. "You really want ta find out?" A playful smirk grew as she spun the blade slowly in one hand.

Leif's eyes glinted as he quickly nodded. But just as quickly he grabbed Mersi's free hand. "But not 'ere. Let's go back out to where I have my main operation at." With that he started to run back towards the flower fields, where Mersi had discovered his secret.

Mersi giggled and rolled her eyes. "Yeah, way to take the home base advantage." Still, she ran after him, wrapping her dagger as she went in case he wanted to use weapons at some point.

Turning Leif skidded to a stop, scattering several flower petals up into the air as he finally came to a complete stand still. His paws dug into the ground bracing himself as he slowly prepared to fight his sister, "Okay, Mersi. We'll start like this." He paused and his eyes narrowed in the true spirit of an actual fight even though it was just practice, " So come at me!"

Reaching the field, Mersi found a safe place to put her dagger down before chasing after Leif again. She herself skidded to a halt in an image of her brother. "Kay!" She called, bursting from the ground. She chose to start with the basic straight forward attack, her lean body low to the ground as she ran.

Sticking out his hands, palms facing Mersi, Leif braced himself. Lowering his body he quickly moved into a position of defense against his sister's attack. 'I'll push her off.' He thought with a small smirk, his eyes never leaving Mersi as she rushed forward.

Mersi's mind calculated quickly on what to do. She finally decided when she was just feet away. With an extra push from the ground she half dove and half fell, rolling the last three feet to her brother. Her intention was to throw him off a little so that she would be able to pop back up within his arms, grab around his waist and with her upward and forward momentum throw him to the ground. At least, that was the idea. She saw his hands above her and started to come up...

Leif grinned as his sister's tactics before falling back and rolling over quickly as well, his arms sticking out towards her front paws. With as much force as he dared muster against his sister, Leif pushed and tried to force Mersi to lose balance. Hoping she would fall to the ground the teen braced himself to tackle and pin her down.

Laughing to herself when Leif reacted quickly, though a little disappointed, Mersi squeaked when her side was pushed. Quickly digging her fingers into the ground, she pulled herself from Leif and rolled a little more before popping back up and skidding to face her brother. "Bring it!" She yipped, amber eyes glowing excitedly.

Leif just grinned at his sister before his hand found the hidden handle of a long staff, made of light wood. "Catch!" He called quickly standing back up and tossing the staff perfectly to his sister. Wasting no time the teen quickly grabbed the twin staff and stood defensively with it held out. "Get me." Was all Leif said as he nodded his head, indicating that his sister got the chance of first attack.

Mersi caught the staff with both hands, bracing it protectivly before her. She paused a moment, looking Leif over carefully. A feeling of pride slipped over her mind. Pride in her brother's skills, and her own. Wait- don't get distracted! She walked slowly closer until they were within sticks reach of each other. She wasn't very good with long staffs yet... She gripped it determindly though to hide the fact. Then she swung towrad Leif's left, using what weight she had behind the force.

Leif swung and with a loud smack, the two staffs met. His eyes sparked with the challenge as he pulled back and quickly went to offensive. His arms used to the weight barely burned as he started to quickly swing continuously at his sister. Finally Leif stopped the random hits and aimed for a low hit, her legs.

Mersi fought to match her brother's pace, the snap of wood hitting wood sounding sharply in her ears. She yelped when she wasn't fast enough, feeling a pain in her leg. As she fell though, she shoved the flat side of the staff as hard as she could into her oppontent's chest while his arms were still low, kicking hard off the ground with her back legs to drive into him.

Leif nearly gasped from the surprising pain of Mersi's surprise blow, but forced himself to stay on his paws despite being pushed backwards. He had to force his breathing to slow as he gulped in the fresh air, waking his stunned mind.
He held his staff with one hand now and with a smooth movement turned the staff so he was holding it to his side. His free hand hesitated before reaching down towards Mersi, "Nice move there, sis." Though he hoped that her leg was okay from his own attack.

When Leif backed off, Mersi did the same. She bent and stretched the leg he had gotten to make sure it was okay. It would sting for a while, but she'd had worse from the centaur. She smiled brightly and shook his hand, leaning on the staff like a walking stick. "Pretty good yourself."
