Nodding, Malkin cut a few letters into the map where the cafeteria was located.
"I'm going to have to do some more exploration. And no doubt become stupidly lost again. Oh well," he trailed off, walking into the cafeteria. "Wow. I forgot about this place."

"Well, Emma can think whatever she wants, and if it gets her all worked up, then it's even a little fun." Matt said, his customary grin still in place. "So, no weight training for you, eh? How about some combat practice? A sparring match, just you and me. Since you're the new guy, and I might end up working with you at some point, I'd best know what you;'re capable of. And, hey, if we do this right, we can make it last til lunch."
((My apologies, everyone, for my amazing lack of posting. I got smacked upside the head by a large case of writers block. I'm back now though, just took me a bit to get my thought process moving again.))

Isaac faced Matt, "Sure. That's what I had originally set out to do. But then I got caught up in a whole bunch of other stuff. You know..." Isaac trailed off. Isaac hopped down to the bottom of the library steps, "After you," Isaac held out a hand in gesture that he wanted Matt to lead. Isaac remembered where the arena was, but he was willing to bet that anyone they had to talk to to get in would be much more willing in to listen to Matt.
"Forgot? How could you possibly forget this building of all buildings? This is the best one!" Emma said as she hop-skipped after Malkin. It would probably freak most people out to see a woman of her age and reputation to be skipping around. "Come, let us get food!" Emma yelled as she sprinted to the little corridor to the side that actually contained all of the food. Emma grabbed her usual lunch, tomato soup and bread with an apple. The apple made it all an odd combination, but she loved it.
Leaving the 'line,' which was very surprisingly empty for the time. Emma sat at a smaller, empty table as she waited for Malkin. She also didn't start eating without him.

Aries saw William step forward, able to see the possibility of the trap, which would put him in a very disadvantageous position. So he pulled his arm away from William’s step even though he continued the motion. The rod at most would graze William’s shoulder as it passed, nothing at all serious, if it made contact at all.
Aries then twisted his body to the right bringing it as close as he could to William, bringing his head back in an attempt to slam it into William’s face. His right arm moved the rod it held out to meet the nodachi’s blade on the inside, where he would keep it so that the large sword would not make contact with Aries’ body.

William decided to take what would most likely be a graze from the blunt staff section. I would be a fair trade, he thought. For as Sol turned about and brought his back to connect with Williams, William released his hold on his nodachi and brought his hand up in a fist, hoping to punch Sol in the side of the head before the other man made contact.
((Short post. Always seems to happen to me when I do pvp combat though...))

Aries watched as William released the nodachi mid-attack, it would move through the air, missing him, freeing up his right hand at the same time as it did fro William. He would bring his right arm straight up, their forearms would clash if he continued the strike and would more-or-less deflect the attack from Aries' head, his head butt still lined to make contact with William's.

Crap...
Williams counter was countered and he needed to move fast. Without conscious thought he made to leap back and push himself off of Sols body with his left arm simultaneously. He still felt the grazing impact of Sols head against his nose as he moved back out of range. He staggered back a few more steps as he tried to clear his blurred vision. He wiped the back of his hand across his face and was surprised to see it come away with both tears and blood.
"You're pretty quick Sol. I can say this much, I'm glad that we're fighting for the same team. This sparring match aside, of course." William said and wiped away the small trickle of blood from his nose.
He sheathed Legacy at his right hip and then reached up and undid the clasp around the handle of the Howling Blade. He took the handle in his right fist and drew the large blade up and over his shoulder, bringing it down in front of him and grasping it with both hands.
Maybe I should show him my most secret technique...

Aries bowed slightly in response to William's compliment. "Thank you, I would say the same for you." He smiled watch William unsheathe the blade he now held in his hands.
"An interesting weapon." Aries watched William handle the weapon, he proceeded then by connecting the ends of the rods together to make his staff a whole weapon again.
Then with a few quick spins he held it in front of him horizontal across his chest. His hands together towards the right end. His stance was such that he could have held a sword in the same position, both hands on the 'hilt'.

Malkin just stared at the old woman who skipped into the cafeteria, and grabbed food faster than he probably could draw his sword.
"What in the hell is she?" he asked himself aloud, grabbing a pomegranate and small plate with a napkin and sitting down across from her. Slicing into it with his fingernails, he began to seperate it carefully, spilling the sweet seeds into a bowl he picked up with the plate.
"So what did you want to talk about?"

John got up from the table he had been sitting at since breakfast, he'd been talking with whomever was lounged around for the morning, but it was about luchtime for him and his stomach gave a loud rumble. "Heheh, guess its time for me to get something more to eat."
John smiled as he stood, and made his way for the food. On the journey to the food, he got close to Malkin and stopped, "Don't mean to interrupt, but it would seem I don't recognize you. You new to the corps?

"Alright, come with me." Matt said and began leading the way back to the Arena. He hoped the kid was good. It had been a while since he had had a match that had been a true challenge.
Hell, if this kid puts up a decent fight I may ask him to be my regular training partner. Ty's always so busy, otherwise I'd ask him...
"It was my fathers. I've been told it's been in my family for generations. You should watch yourself, with this one weapon I'm more dangerous than with any other two weapons in hand. Now, let us begin round two." William said while building energy within his blade.
He charged forward leading with the heavy sword, though he had wielded it long enough that the size bothered him not at all. He rushed to just within range of Sols weapon and stopped suddenly. He threw his right leg back, up, and around in a high backspin kick. Simultaneously he brought his sword up and over his shoulder angling it parallel to his back to protect his blind spot while he attacked.

Isaac was tempted to give Matt a little salute, but he didn't mostly because he thought it would seem odd. Also because he had to follow after him if he was going to keep up. His halberd making small thuds as he walked, "This ought to be fun." Isaac had recognized the arena before they were there, he was excited.
Emma smiled at Malkin as she tore off a piece of bread and dunked it in her soup. John has approached them just as she stuffed the food into her mouth. "Mmmrff!" Emma said through a mouthful. She liked John, but it wasn't like she could really say anything through her food, which would take a little longer to eat than most things due to the thickness of the bread she chose. She waved at him as she chewed.

Malkin smiled at the tall buff guy, stiffling a laugh at Emma.
"I've been a part of the Corps for almost as long as it's been established. I just don't really like to be near people," he said his eyes hidden. "The name is Malkin. And you are?" He asked politely, slicing apart the pomegranate using his fingernails with surgical precision.

John smiled at ever enthusiastic Emma, knowing full well she wanted to say hi, and probably would once she swallowed the mouthful of food she had.
John looked to Malkin, the smile still on his face, "John Ammerfell, smithy to the corps. Been 'round since the place started up, so chances are if you use a corps weapon, I made it."
Don't like bein' 'round people eh.
"Well I have to say I'm surprised I've never seen you before, not sure if there ain't really anyone here I haven't met. 'Side from you."

"Mmrff!" Emma started up again. She flapped her right hand for a moment as her pace of chewing picked up to an astonishing speed. She forced herself to swallow, and with a tear in her eye started to talk. "Oo! We have a newbie that wields a halberd. I doubt you had anything within it's creation though. His name's... Oh, what was it... Isaac I think. Ikzac? Probably the first one. I haven't seen him in action yet though, Matt got to him first." Emma frowned a little. She once again missed the chance to have one of those little tag-along newbies that oo-d and aah-d at everything little thing you did.
"Well, how you been John? Anything exciting on your end?" Emma was a horrible conversationalist.
