There was a sigh, half reluctant and half humor, as he unfolded his hold on Dancer. Nose still tingling from her touch. Softly speaking so that the others wouldn't overhear. For even if he didn't hear the many Sendings to Fathom he did note the angry tension is some of the land elves' bodies.
"Not just yet. I need to do a different type of 'dance' before bruises are made," Crosscurrent said as he looked where Fathom was currently where Llune had just left her. And if he looked a little more merry or proud ..well, he wasn't going to apologize.
**Tidalwave, I think now would be a good time to distract them. I'll take care of Fathom and the Glider.** he lock-Sent with the same playfull seriousness one would watching the shark with a giant squid near each other. A hunter's task he trusted the more light-hearted Wavedancer to take care off by taking the other land-elves away from the 'scene'.

Savith frowned as Autumn came over. Sadly, Llune's calming send did little to stem the tide. His eyes, already narrowed from the light glare at the wavedancer, turned into icy chips of emerald as he fumed into Autumn's mind, leaving the send just open enough to be heard by the rest, though the emotions funneled into the rock shaper's mind fully. Daring to meet her gaze fully, Savith rose to his feet with a snarly sneer on his features as he sent. **No, Autumn Joy,** he began, the fury turning the send think as tree-sap but as rancid as ichor. **I am NOT alright. Her and the rest of the wavedancers brought from their own stores to help feed us, at my behest. While your wish to see to the health and safety of your tribe are commendable, the manner in which you are going about it is not. I will NOT abide by rudeness while I've been asked to lead this motley assortment of elves. Nor will I abide by threats made one to another. Know that Crosscurrent and I seek to unite these two factions as one tribe under our united guidance. She is as much a part of your pack as I am. More over, she is an elf, no different from any one else. She has every right to dislike anyone she pleases, same as you. If you had paid attention, it was clear that the matter was being settled. What should have remained a minor misbehavior, you have taken and sought to make a teeth-to-throat fight of. I will NOT have it. You will make amends, without my dictation of what that would entail. And for Voll's sake, listen to whatever bit of wolf is in you and know when a higher ranking elf than yourself has it well in hand. The wavedancer is not the only one you've insulted with your words and actions. You belittle me and the position you've asked me to take by seeking to fight battles that are not yours to fight! Dewpaw has better manners and maturity. Are you sure you're not a cub, Shaper?** At his side, a fist clenched in anger.

Peyote smiled at Creek, oblivious to the problems at the shoreline. Taking her noisemaker, she stepped away from Creek and began to dance, humming as she does so. She stumbled now and again, but laughed each time, lifting her skirts to hop or kick or spin or prance. All the while, she had eyes for her Recognized.

What could she do but stand there and take the lashing. Autumn might have at first met his gaze but it only lasted a heartbeat before her eyes lowered. As he went on her head lowered and by the time he was done her whole body seemed heavy with the burden of his words. She glanced over at the wavedancer and frowned deeper. Autumn knew when angered she could be frightening. The heart hurting now more then ever. She only sought to protect those she cared for. His dig about her wolf blood stung. She fought back tears till he was done then looked up. *Forgive my shame My Chief.* Looking once again to Fathom, *Forgive my rage. It was uncalled for it seems.* Then she turned and left the gathering all together.

Fathom sat in the surf with just the slightest hint on a smirk on her lips as Autumns Joy yelled at her in send. It amused the water elfess knowing that with the slight demonstration she just gave the hot headed animal elfess would come right in her face. It tempted Fathom to soak her but she held back. The smug smirk leaving her face as Tidalwave came over and placed his hand on her shoulder. Lifting a hand to touch his she said softly. "Oh Tidalwave thank you for defending me. I was so scared." Lashes fluttering at him lightly until her mine got the private send to be good. Still her Chief wasn't upset and the glider was. When Autumns Joy sent her apology Fathom pouted slightly and said, "I forgive you but don't understand all the anger. It was just a little wave. I was only being playful." Again lashes fluttered over amber eyes.

Savith snipped back at Autumn Joy, **I could care less about your shame. Learn from your mistakes, Cub.** Turning to look at Fathom, he frowned and replied, still angered but working to hold it back, **Perhaps you could do well in thinking first how your jokes might be taken before you pull them on others that may not yet know your sense of humor.** He glanced at Crosscurrent, a brow quirked lightly over narrowed eyes. A private send flicked from one chief to another, **Need mine handled further, Chief? Yours could do with an explanation that her 'joke' wasn't well liked. We do have to try to get along, after all.**

Dancer frowned as Crosscurrent pulled away. Looking to the shore she made a little face that they couldn't just be nice to one another. Seeing Savith stand and Autumn storm off she shook her head lightly. "I guess we should join the others before the night ends sooner then it should." Still before he could fully break away she grabbed his hair and pulled him to her. Lightly pressing her lips to his then letting him go. Swimming off with a smile knowing full well he could easily catch her.

Crosscurrent didn't reply instantly to Savith's lock-Send: both to spare a smug glance where Dancer moved away (her surprising action having taken his gaze from the Glider), and to not jump at the Glider's words. He had not intention on taking control as completely as the Mad Lord... and how the Glider-Chief had seen of leadership so far...
No. Best to not 'take to task' Savith's hand in this. It was his part of the tribe; it had been him first offended.
With regret he watched Dancer leave. And with her, the last of the festive feeling it seemed.
Red tail carrried him towards Fathom and Tidalwave swiftly enough despite staying above the waterline. "Now, Fathom, you should know only I get to dunk the second-Chief." An attempt at humor that held a shade of seriousness. Moving to come in front of Fathom as a measure of privacy understood from those who lived close together. Tidalwave could join (so few other Wavedancers here..) or not as he felt too.
A hand where Fathom's neck met her shoulder to make sure he had her attention. "Too playful tonight. A dolphin doesn't tease the sharks unless it knows it's fed. And since you stopped the party you find a way to start it again."
**We talk after** he lock-Sent to her.

The firestarter had watched the two leaders, Cross and Savith, and even with their words hidden in locksend he understood that they were working together to put out the wildfire before it became unstoppable. A resigned snarl flitted acrost his face, and he scraped a ball of flame from the coals, letting it turn over and over in his hand before melting upwards untill nothing remained. He had nurtured a sudden desire to see a fight of some sort, a test of will and strength, as soon as Joy had risen to aid her Chief, and he know wondered at it's source. But, as the crimson elfess hurried off, he slid inconspicuously after her.
**Joy. Wait.** His locksend carried the same arresting force as a hand on a shoulder, an order rather than a plea. **Where are you running off to?**

Tidalwave stood near the other Wavedancers but his eyes shifted from elf to elf. He wanted no more trouble this eve but if it was to be then so be it. As Crosscurrent talked to Fathom Tidalwave petted her head. Just lazily running fingers through the long hair she had. Eyes finally coming to rest on Llune he smiled and lock sent to her. *I never did thank you for the gift you made. I'm sure Fathom and Crosscurrent will thank you as well once all this unpleasantness is done with.* His mind shifted and though open was low, wanting only Crosscurrent and Fathom to hear if possible, *Yes Fathom, you can set things right seeing how you set them asunder. Just pick up the trinket Llune crafted just for you and show you want to smile.* His send having the feel of a warm hug of understanding and the longing for things to resume.

Dancer hadn't been paying much attention to all the fussing going on. The group was to small to become fractured and drive all the Fishy's back into the sea. So when she removed herself from the water she was sure to splash well as she walked out. She flung her hair spraying droplets everywhere as her light and happy voice rang out. "What are all these long faces for? Are we having a party or are we not? Pey has the right idea." She lifted a hand in Peys direction as she danced for Creek. With that said she latched onto Tidalwave and pulled him to dance with her. "Come on tall one and I'll show you how to swim on the land!" Her face was a light and happy. Still her eyes drifted to Crosscurrent with a wink and a lock send. *Make this go away. Calm the waters with laughter my sweet.* Another lock send but this one pointed at Savith, *Smile my chief or none will smile. You lead the way for the others.*

Caught off guard Tidalwave found himself drug closer to the fire by the smaller Cat elfess. His face might have showed just how surprised he was for a few moments then smiled a bit as he took hold of Dancer and pulled her up to spin her about in the air. "Something like that would be Wavedancer?" He laughed softly as he set her to the ground again. As he moved with Dancer he shook the music maker Llune had given him. He was starting to see what Crosscurrent liked in her so much. She seemed full of joy and song. Giving off an energy of happiness and song.

Dancer squeaked and squealed with delight as she was spun around. When her feet were back on the ground she moved and frolicked about him. "That was very good." she giggled and they danced on. She hoped it worked and others would feel more at ease.

Fathom grinned seeing the catfish seem to start the party again. Lifting the noise maker given her she looked at Llune. "How do I use it?" She shook it lightly. "Like this?" Then gave her chief a look of see I'm being good. Her mind locked on his *I can't help it if they are poor playmates. It was just a little wave. I didn't soak the beach.* She smiled and looked back to the others, "Oh catfish you move better out of the water then you do in it." Then turned her attention back to Llune so she could respond.

Feeling the send from Blaze did indeed stop Autumn but she turned and her mind snarled as it locked on his. *What do you want? I will go where I choose when I choose. I am leaving so I don't shame my Chief further. Now let me go or come with I care not what you choose at this moment.* Her mind was spikes like the rock she shaped. Anger, embarrassment and frustration seemed to slap Blazes mind like it was flung at him. Then in a twirl of flame colored hair she turned and kept going.
