Hello, everyone. While this character is new (and I'm still THRILLED about getting this name) I've been a regular on Gaia for several (two?) years.
I learned about Touhou a little while ago (About a year, I think) via... ugh... Ronald McDonald Insanity. After watching it, I wanted the original theme, and I found it. Interested in the music, I listened to a few more tracks. I loved the music, and I began to poke around on a few websites. I couldn't find any straightforward answers to what "Touhou" was other than "Scrolling bullet-hell". I interpreted this as a sort of Megaman clone, except filled with enemies with guns and/or bows. This was further reinforced by me first coming across Reisen... Her "hand"gun pose and bullet-shaped projectiles kept me on this track. Finally, I found a link to EoSD. I played it, and after the initial shock of how different it was from what I expected, I worked on it until I got to Flandre (Still haven't beaten her) and then began to hunt for other games. Now, I've got every single game, most with patches, except TH9 (Can't stand the broken ENG patch) and 7.5 (I've got 10.5 and 12.3 - The older one's not too appealing).
After a few months of dabbling in Touhou, I came across the dark corners that are Mannosuke, Tenshi's masochism, Yukkuri, Suppatenko, Reimu's armpits, etc...
I've started to enjoy the TH-related memes, which (obviously) led to me making this character.
I can't believe I hadn't looked for a Touhou guild earlier. It feels good to be here!
TL;DR A MAN has joined your ranks!

Hello everyone, please take care of me me~ ;∀;ノ
This account is a few months old, but I've left it here unfortunately for while, since Gaia is an on off thing for me (since '05 derp) so here I am now ;v;. As for Touhou I've only discovered it about a year or so ago, but I have to say my love for it has been increasing ever since. I've pretty much played all the Windows games (oh but I should get around to those PC-98 games too uhuhu) but sadly for me, loving the game does not make you better at it. /SOB I'll admit here and now, I'm only proficient at a elementary schooler's level ;A; Oh woe is me. I believe I was formally introduced to it by a friend, but I unknowingly had stumbled on its wonderful music beforehand, with knowing what it was ahah. (I believe my first was a instrumental remix of Remilia's theme., which has also become my favorite)
So yeah. If I could, I would eat, sleep, and breathe Touhou, I would, but I can't, so instead I'll do what I can do. ;v;

I have neglected introducing myself, so this is a little late.
It almost shames me to say it, but Ronald McDonald Insanity (McRoll'd) is what essentially introduced me to Touhou.
It all started when my best friend (who had played Touhou) told me to get on youtube and look up this really weird video called "McRoll'd". I don't remember my initial reaction to it, as I haven't even watched a bit of it since last year. I'm one of those people who finds humor in excessively weird/random things. If you are familiar with the term "Youtube Poop", that just about sums it up. So of course I got a kick out of the video.
I eventually became curious as to what the actual song was. I read something about "Flandre's theme" in the comments page. I looked it up, and I thought the song was pretty cool. I then wondered who this "Flandre" character was, and upon becoming aware that it was a powerful boss from so shooting game, I became even more interested, and took it upon myself to see her in the game.
Each thing led to another, and a sort of chain reaction led me to the point that I became quite a big fan of the Touhou series.
And of course, ever since hearing that theme song, Flandre has been one of my very favorite characters.
I'm into Touhou more for the characters and music more than the game itself. After all, I kinda suck at the game. I'm not very coordinated. In fact, I've never reached Remilia on normal mode playing EoSD, partly because I stubbornly reset every single time I get a continue.
So yeah...

Hello~! I just joined this guild. ^_^
I recently caught Touhou fever back in August when I found a fan video. Since then I've seen a lot of videos. Now, just recently I started to play the games. I can make it 83% in Scarlet Devil on Lunatic mode. xD

Um, hello, I guess. Pleased to make your acquaintances. ^-^
Just today I wondered if this game had any Touhou-themed guilds, and man was I glad to see like 7 different ones after searching.
I could say that what first got me into ZUN's works was some Alice roleplaying threads on 4chan's /b/, which led me to look up info on the aforementioned character (who's grown to be my favorite one; I'm totally in love with her now <3). That was roughly one year ago. Now I'm totally obssessed with the Gensokyo world; I listen to Touhou music arranges 24/7, replay the games every now and then... pretty much like most of us here, I guess. I think the world that ZUN describes through the games and manga is, in many different ways, much more fascinating than the characters themselves.
Well, I think that's enough for an introduction. Not that there's anything remarkable enough about me with which to fill up this post, anyways. ^-^''

Hey ~ I'm new to Touhou, but am quickly turning into a diehard fanatic. I've been listening to IOSYS for a while, without really knowing what it is, but it was a Youtube user called Raocow who really started to get me into it with his playthrough of "Super Marisa World."
If you include Super Marisa World's flimsy claim to being called a Touhou game (not so flimsy during the Kaguya fight) I've 'beaten' two Touhou games, and am looking for some more to play. I say 'beaten' because I can't seem to beat Flan-chan in EoSD in Lunatic.. and I refuse to play a lower level difficulty.

-Not Very- Original Prof I can't seem to beat Flan-chan in EoSD in Lunatic.. and I refuse to play a lower level difficulty. What you are doing is akin to trying to learn how to drive by going at full speed on a highway in your first day. Just try beating them in Normal first. You'll learn the danmaku patterns faster that way (a good number of Lunatic spellcards are just variants on Normal or Hard ones, with little twists). Also, EoSD is one of the hardest official Touhou games out there, mainly because it's the only game who lacks a viewable hitbox. Try MoF, it's the easiest.

Never mind me. Do I really need to introduce myself?
Now that I've joined this guild, I'm going to quietly help myself to its library.

Heh, maybe I should start calling you professor, eh Wotan? Because one can't argue with logic like that. Although I fully intend on starting up on Lunatic mode, just to say that I gave it a shot. Although I get the feeling that I'll either lose to Rumia, not even get to her, or make it all the way to Patchy. Either way it'll be a fun ride.

Hello to you all...
My name is Yakumo Yukari.
You should know the simple things about me.
I am a big time roleplayer, I cosplay, I am a huge Touhou fan, and take pleasure in messing with others.
I was introduced into Touhou via videos on NicoNico Douga and youtube. I can't say for certain which video I saw first.
But my love for it bloomed from watching the Bad Apple Shadow Art PV.
I adore that video.
And with that, I shall return to my home and sleep~
