Alexz swept down the hallway, her silhouette a blur. She stopped before her door as she heard two familiar voices speaking in the room nearby. Turning on her heel she silently approached Rikku's door. She hesistated for a moment before gently knocking on the door.
"Rikku? Rogue?" she asked softly.
She guarded her mind heavily as she began to gather her various ideas. Remaining fairly calm she knocked again.

Nodding to Rogue to acknowledge her idea, her eyes drifted to the door, her expression remaining unchanged. It was her. The traitor. The elder she'd never quite seen eye-to-eye with. Her expression now unemotional, she kept her eyes on the door.
"Come in."

The door opened slowly on its own and Alexz stepped into the room silently and a tad bit cautiously. She looked at each of them, nodding her head in somewhat of a greeting.
"Good evening, Rikku and Rogue." she said, her voice unemotional and soft.
The door closed quietly behind her to prevent anyone from wandering by and overhearing. She keep her expression calm, not letting any of her thoughts wander to her face. Taking in a slow breath her eyes switched between the two.
"I came to tell you of the suspicions of the other races, they've all seen each of us out in the daylight and word is spreading quickly." she said slowly, "I paid a visit to Neko at the Ties to ease her suspicions of us, but that won't hold long, especially considering what's recently been on the news."

*Rogue lifted an eyebrow slightly. Rogue had never known Alexz to be calm when things were somewhat amiss..
Rogue decided to push a bit on her suspicions.
"How are you handling the thirst..."
*Rogue took a drag on her cigarette and waited paitiently on her reply, because she knew Alexz had gotten out of control, and Rogue knew her care for other species...

Alexz's eyes snapped to Rogue, her breath becoming slightly unsteady with the unexpected question. She frowned anc closed her eyes for a moment; shoving away the thoughts of the mortals she had slaughtered.
"Not well. Not any better than Rogue and Kyrre did...I thought I was stronger...." she said the last part in a low whisper, "And you?"
She opened her eyes to look at Rogue once she had calmed herself a bit.

"I'm not trying to fight the thirst for too long when it comes...I've had a few accidents like the ones caught on tape. i'm sure we all have had a few times where we were overcome..."
*She thought for a moment, her eyes never leaving Alexz, the irises were glowing their bright emerald.*
"Have you hurt anyone close to you...I know how close you are with many of the species, I'd just think it a little more difficult these days, knowing what you're capable of..."

Alexz began to think of everyone she had killed in that terrifying blur. A small sigh of relief escaped her lips as she didn't recognize any of them.
Shaking her head softly, she looked at Rogue, "I haven't hurt anyone close...yet. I don't know if I'll be able to hold the hunger for as long."
She frowned, afraid of the next possible rampage she would break out in. Looking down at the floor she allowed herself to trail off on a thought for a moment.
"Have you?" she asked, looking up to meet Rogue's eyes.

*Rogue knew she owned a conscience somewhere deep within the depths of her soul...
Yet she had come to accept the monster she had become.
"They are cattle. Granted there have been more killings on my own hands than I anticipated, but the key to avoid a large time is pacing yourself...don't you think?"
*She smiled slightly. She knew Alexz might remember other convserations they had had where Rogue was feeling the weight of her 'sins'. The only way to be an elder of her species was to be ruthless, cold, and hard. Otherwise, she would not be able to live with herself for the things she was always forced to do.*

Alexz frowned at Rogue's comment, shaking her head.
"You were a /cattle/, too. I'd rather damn myself to an eternal life of starvation rather then kill some innocent /cattle/." she said in a rush, her voice sounding a little angrier than anticipated.
She knew how Rogue felt at times, and it puzzled her how they so easily took the lives of those who they once walked among. Being an elder, she felt, didn't require much change in lifestyle or thought. She felt that she was the kindest elder, and she never understood why the others were different.

*Her eyes were glowing brightly, some instinct within her wanted to fight, but she supressed it and took a drag on her cigarette.*

"Considering the lives of others isn't weak." Alexz said, "We're bloodsuckers. No where in that does it say that we have to suck on humans."
She gazed off, honestly not wishing to begin a fight at the moment. Their views on what they were always clashed; they had forgotten what it was like to be mortal, but she never did.

Alexz shook her head, meeting Rogue's eyes with her sharp gaze.
"I would never lash against either of you simply because we do not share an opinion. I'm not an irrational animal." she said, truth behind each of her words, "You know, even if it's deeper than hell is, that there is a hint of guilt within you for all the things you've done. You just have lost all notion of what it was like before this."
She leaned against the wall behind her, hey eyes never leaving Rogue's.

Rikku was being silent, and Alexz, well, Rogue didn't know what to think.
