Shera finally found she had enough magic to heal herself as she put her hand to the back of her head. It seemed enough as the wound to the back of her skull painfully began to seal closed through her magic. She’d do the same magic to the wound to the front of her head as she then rested her hand at the side of her body. Neither wound seemed to exist anymore, her healing powers were truly powerful if they could remove a wound as bad as hers. “Kokoro…he wants my powers. He won’t rest. I’m scared.”

"Then I shall not rest either." Celeron said with a gentle smile as he placed his sword returned into its sheath.
"How are you doing my lady. Are your injuries all healed?" He asked moments later as he marveled at her skills.

“My injuries are healed. I had enough magic to heal them. I just fear Kokoro over death itself. I fear what he would do to me.” Her voice came out meekly as well as weakly, but it was truthfully. She truly feared Kokoro above all else. She did not wish to be harmed by him again. “I need rest before I can use my magic again…”

Azrael tossed the last bit of meat into his mouth and swallowed. He licked the salt off of his lips. Finished with his snack he turned to Miluiel. "I am glad that you are happy to accept it. It will help us all out with a good teacher for Shinn." He said. "My sister Mazzia will be able to concentrate on her job as a healer. She's the one that healed Shera earlier. She stays in her human forms at all time because she is a healer, she need to be ready at all times for bandages, or other such works that require the dexterity of humanoid fingers. These are not so capable of doing the work." He said holding up his massive hand to emphasize his point.

Miluile nodded, "It's understandable, she is lucky to have such talented hands." Miluiel looked back at her hands in her lap. "My hands only cause pain." she said shrugging, "It is something that I must work on." She clinched her hands into fists. "They will bring good fortune someday."

Azrael blinked at Miluiel. "Pain?" He asked curiously. "Why would you say such a thing? You are a good person." He said. "Perhaps, I don't know what this is about, and you don't have to tell me unless you want to, but as long as your intent is good, and you mean no harm, then you will overcome it." He looked at the elf squarely in the eyes. "I am very young, especially to be considered Alpha of a pack, but take it from me, who lived his life the wrong way at first. If you know there is something you can change, then you will be able to make that change."

"I hope that I can change it." she said looking at her hands, avoiding Azrael's gaze. "My hands suck the water from anything, everything. I can kill a person if I like by sucking them dry. I do that to nature as well." She blushed with embarrassment. "I need to learn more about my magic, I need to train myself to work with water, not steal it."

Azrael nodded. "I understand." He said solemnly. "Just don't push yourself too hard with it." He cautioned. "Remember that we are watching out for you. I know that you will get the control you need." As he spoke, Shinn nuzzled against Miluiel's leg, he clearly must have been having a good dream. "I think we may have some gloves. Mazzia will help you with getting newer, warmer clothing in the morning, when she wakes up.

Miluiel smiled at him. "Thank you." She looked at the pup. "This is the first time I have had contact, skin to skin contact with living creatures, nothing has happened." She smiled at Shinn, "Is this your doing little Shinn?" He asked the pup. "Thank you again for everything!" Miluiel said to him.

Azrael laughed softly. "I think, that my young son has shown you a way to contain your power... I think that if you care enough about someone, they will not be harmed by your power." He gave Miluiel a broad smile. "And think nothing of it. It is my duty to help a pack member, as the Alpha." He looked at Shinn. "And I believe that the little one will be awakening soon. We do not sleep all the way through the night as others do." He explained softly.

"Yes, I suppose he has." She said, her hand hovered over Shinn, she wanted to stroke his soft fur again, but she feared harming him. "Waking, already?" Miluiel sighed. "Wow, how much sleep does one his age require?" Miluiel wanted to show him her affection, the true feelings that were within her.

Azrael smiled. "Do not worry. He will be taking several naps throughout the day, and he slept through most of the yesterday anyhow. Cubs have boundless energy, but you'll know when he is tired." He said to Miluiel.
After a small amount of time, Shinn awoke and rubbed sleep sand out of his eyes. He looked around and saw his father and Miluiel next to him. "Gishura! Opau, Le'elia!" He said in greeting as he woke up.
Azrael looked down at his son and smile. "Gishura, my son. Did you have pleasant dreams, sleepy one?" He said to his son.
Shinn's tail wagged happily and he nodded. "Yeah!" He said jumping up. "Dreamed that I was hunting and brought home a wyvern!" Shinn said enthusiastically, his dreams reflecting how much he wanted to be a great hunter.
Azrael laughed. "You can take one down in your dreams, but you won't be able to with a chest like that!" He said to Shinn, pointing at his little chest an then pushing his son onto the blanket gently and held him down with his large hand. As he did this, he tickled Shinn's belly with one of his claws. Shinn burst out laughing and tried to roll and squirm out of Azrael's grip and nipped at him playfully. This was a usual game that he played with Shinn.

Miluile laughed softly as she watched them playing. She had to remember what those words, Gashaura, opau, le'elia, what did they all mean? "Did you rest well little Shinn?" Miluiel asked softly not wanting to interrupt.

Eventually Azrael released Shinn, and Shinn sat up. He looked up at Miluiel with a big smile. "Yeah!" He said to her happily. He hoped up onto his feet.
Azrael smiled and looked at Miluiel, who seemed to be having trouble with some with words they used. He leaned over to Miluiel and whispered into her ear. "Since we don't sleep in normal days and nights, we say Gishura, which means 'awakenings,' when we greet each other instead of 'good morning.'" He explained. "Opau means father, but it is what our children use for 'papa' or 'daddy.' Le'elia, is a respectful term of endearment to a female." Azrael moved away and looked at Shinn, who was walking around Miluiel.
When Shinn reached Miluiel's front he looked up at her with wide-eyed wonder. "You smell nice, Le'elia!" Shinn said to her. "And I like the color of your fur." He said, referring to Mara's fur.

"Thank you little Shinn." Miluiel blushed. "I love your fur as well, it's so beautiful, so shiny and soft." She stroked his ear gently fascinated by the fact that she didn't harm him. "You are amazing little Shinn." she said with a bright smile. "A blessing!"
Smiling at Azrael she thanked him too. "I am not familiar with your language, it is something that I will learn with time." She knew she would learn it, she would present an effort to learn so that she could fit in even just a little more.
