"Well, I don't know about you guys, but I think this is exciting!" Tesunie had a look of amazement on his face, as he was practically glowing from excitement of the moment. "I'm sure we will even get a tour! It must be interesting for all the adults to not want to leave the place. Why else would you stay?" Tesunie was almost skipping along, for if he was standing still he would have been jumping up and down from the sheer knowledge of going into the building. He was the only one with a smile on his face and following Andrew by a short distance. "Come on! This will be great! Smile a little people!"

Kev frown grows just to spite Tes. He hangs back from the rest, watching Andrew warily. 'Why is he so desperate?....If he didn't know anything he'd be more relaxed....It must be big.....Which means it has to do with outside......'

(1-2 go, 3-4 stay) Zak was torn, he needed to learn what was going on, but also had the feeling that he hadn't much time to finish his preparations. After a brief argument inside his head, he came to a decision. "Hey! Mister man! I'm goin' with ya," he turned to his fellow youth in general, "If we smell something fishy, we can always beat it, more of us than him, eh?" he turned to Hope, "And you. Stop throwing a tantrum, geez, you're acting like a five-year-old,"

Hope scowled turning towards him, and grabbing his shirt. "I'll stop when you stop acting like a know-it-all." She hissed, shoving him away. She ran over her options. If she went with him, she would be going back on her word, seeing her parents, and most likely never coming out; but she would learn why the human race destoried the earth. If she didnt' go with him, she would be leaving Kev and Riley alone, and she will never be able to help the earth. She sighed, walking forwards but stopping. She took a deep breath and followed Kev slowly. She would rather be punching herself in the face...

Andrew led them quickly to The Office, and wasted no more time with talk. He knocked twice where two metal doors came together, and waited a moment. A metal number pad was revealed, and he quickly punched in a code. the covering of the pad slid shut over it, and he waited for another moment. A door opened with a buzzing sound about fifteen feet away, on the side of the building "We are not using the front enterance today. There's not ime for distractions." he informed them, and he entered, not caring if the others were following him. He led them down a stone paved hall with metal walls. Lighte were inserted into the walls ever couple of feet, casting their soft glow upwards. Loud noises like drilling and clanging came from below them, but Andrew did not explain. Riley thought that the hallway was kind of comforting, well, it would be, but the noises coming from below startled him.
At the end of the hall, there was an elevator. Andrew hit the up button and waited yet again. The elevator came down with a whooshing sound, but it sounded smooth, not dangerous. Andrew steped in and waited for the others to climb in. When they were all in there, it was quiet roomy for an elevator, like it was used to carry lots of people, he pressed the button labled THE OFFICE.
The elevator opened into a circular room panled with a polished wood. Two desks were in the room, facing each other, but placed on either side of the room. It was a very large room, so there was sveral feet in between the desks. Large windows were placed behind each desk. Riley was almost positive that they could be expanded. The only other thing that the panneling was interrupted by, were the large bookcases, made out of the same wood as the walls, were placed on each side of the elevator. Directly accross from the elevator, on the other side of the room, was a heavy wooden door. The carpet was blue. Riley noted that with some satisfaction, Blue was his favorite color.
Two men stood in the middle of the room facing them. One was about 19 or so, and had curly red-brown hair that came to the tops of his ears. The other was about 17, which struck Riley as odd, because he had thought that only 18 years olds or older were allowed in here. Well, we're here so I guess not... he reminded himslef. The 17 yeard old looking guy had dirty blonde hair, the tips of his har were highlighted to a lighter blonde though. Riley thought that if anyone else had tried to do this, they would look bad, but it worked for this kid, he was also slightly taller than the older man, but only by about two inches or so. Riley still had to look up to see their faces. The man with blonde hair was wearing glasses. If he had been able to look closer, he would have seen that the shorter man was wearing contacts.
"Good morning." The shorter man said, smiling at them. "We've been waiting for you." The tall man said. "You've given Andrew here alot of trouble." The short man continued. "And I really hope that you don't try ad fight us. It will end badly for you." The tall man said smiling. "Now, lets get down to buisness." The shorter man said in a tone that said 'shut up and listen'.

Tesunie was looking around the place. He was actually now hiding in the back of the group, behind the bigger and older teens. He was still excited, but now there were more people, and this wasn't his place. However, the books also caught his attention, and he started to read some of the titles, running a hand over a few of them as he walked by.

Zak hung near the back of the group, just in case they had to make a break for it. He had been careful to memorize their route in, and was feairly confident that he could find his way out again. As he half-listened to the men, his mind turned to the noises below them, What could they be digging for?, he thought to himself, Surely there can't be any useful resorces left, what else could it be? more living space? it would make sense if my suspicions are correct.

Hope stepped before the others fearlessly. She had no intention to fight, this was beyond her strength. She listened to them and spoke before Andrew did. "Good Morning to you as well. I can't that I've been wanting to meet you, but you seem to have other idea about that. Andrew seems to have no backbone, unlike you two; I have no thoughts of fighting you two, only if I get out of here with the same intentions of you getting me out." She said. Her voice was so smooth, yet it had the hint that she wanted out the second she stepped into the building. Her left hand was wrapped around her right wrist, and was tightening it's grips ever so slightly. She looked back for a second, to look at Kev, but she looked foward again, and spoke for all of them, "Listening."

Kev followed silently. A few times before the elevator he considered jumping up and strangling Andrew, but obviously did not. In the large room Kev leaned against one of the bookcases. When Hope was done ranting Kev gave his two bits with a wink. "Ain't she cute when she's all business?" 'Who ever said it's a crime to lighten the atmosphere?...'

Hope smriked, and crossed her arms. "You haven't seen the half of it." She said, smiling. She stepped closer to the two men. She wasn't about to relax, but she might as well get them to react to her; weather she got hurt or not.

Hope rolled her eyes, and glared at Zak. "If you're back there, how will you ever hear what they have to say?" She dared him, her eyes narrowing down, focusing on his eyes.

Riley sighed and rolled his eyes at the groups convorsation. He wanted to know what the men had to say.
The taller of the two men cleared his throat, interrupting their convorsation. "Our names are not important, so don't bother asking. We know your names and locations, so if you even try to do something, you will be punished."
The shorter man spoke "We are conduction a um...research project, if you wish to call it, and we need you to help us."
The blonde man spoke before any of the others could. "The project involves going outside. Outside Phenwick Square that is." He added.

Hope didn't even think. She scowled. "Why would I run from you?" Then she heard the word outside, and her anger faded away. She felt numb. She suddenly thought of the world, and the earth. "Are you trying to fix the earth?" She asked. Her voice was soft, and kind, like a childs'.

The two arranged their faces carefully into smiles, but it was obviously something they were not used to doing. "Well, you can't fix something untill you know whats breaking it right?" the murmered softly.
