"Of course Lord Valatar, but what of Sorcere?" Zarud tried his best to keep in his concern for the previous Arch-Mage. There was a chance that he may have survived the invasion, but if so that would mean his mind was eaten and all the spells he knew where taken. Its a copy of one of Valtiers least favorite books The Necronomicon.

Erelala stayed close in town after sensing Valatar's appearance. Upon her mount she walked around through the streets her eyes sweeping over everything.

-A slow shrug accompanies Val'atar's calm words. He sat there in the restaurant oposite of Zarud, wearing his new glimmering arcane armor. His wings spread and then closed around his shoulder just before he began to speak-
"You can pass Sorcere along to your next in line or perhaps one of your siblings. I understand why you created it, it represents a concept.. its the chance for you to school others and offer them a place to learn away from the Lolth priestesses, but its also a target. Because of what it represents, your school is a shining beacon in the darkness, defying Lolth. Should she turn her gaze upon your school, your out alone and nearly cut off from your allies."

-Opening the book, Val'atar flips several pages, smiling at the knowledge contained within, then lifts his gaze back to Zarud and nods slightly before pushing the book back into its envelope. Studying Zarud's face for several long seconds, he speaks again softly.. his voice strong, but very calm-
"What I'm offering is the chance to accomplish what you desire, with the nearly unlimited resources of my house to back you. You will also be sheltered by this city and the many allies of my house.. leaving you free to develop whatever creations you like."

He smiled "of course I accept your offer Lord Valatar, but for the record I have no kin. I had a brother many years ago, but my mother only wanted the strongest to survive, so I killed him."

-a thin smile creases his lips upon hearing Zarud's reply and it widens as he explains about his family. A soft chuckle escapes him before he begins to speak in a deep, but smooth and calm voice-
"My own mother had a similar outlook on life, being a Matron of her house. My siblings were full blooded Drow and lacked my innate abilities, so I rather easily killed them. My brothers both died while on patrol, you'd be surprised how easy it is to bribe their patrol squad into slaughtering them. As for my two sisters, they both accidentally had magic backfire on them, killing them in a horribly painful manner. After dispatching the troublesome ones, I saw to it that my other sister was disgraced and then I raped her and she bore me a daughter, unfortunately she.. escaped, many years ago.. but that is another issue entirely."

-He shrugs slightly before standing-
"I'm glad to accept you as the Arch-Mage of Au Shinduago.. you are welcome to make the announcement at the council of nobles. Your laboratory at Qu'elaeruk awaits you. I already informed them to expect you, is there anything you require before you take your position?"

"Only one thing Lord Valatar, the cupboard in my office at sorcere. I would like it moved to my new office but no one is to open it, is that alright?"

She rode by down a narrow street. A small black cat leaping up into the saddle as if it were nothing and she turned her steed to head back toward home.

-A soft chuckle and then Val'atar nods- "I will see to it myself. You'll excuse me now.. I have to make arrangements for this newest threat. As the Arch-Mage.. you'll need to arrange the arcanists for proper defense. I leave you to it Zarud. Darkness hide you.." -Turning, he stands and after a glance around, he walks out of the restaurant before vanishing into a patch of darkness-

Reivan The Drow

Reivan watched Erelala leave then took the long way home through the markets, there were things he needed to purchase along the way and he knew exactly where to find them.

"And you Lord Valatar," Zarud said as the drow lord left. He then looked at the paper work for Sorcere "I guess all this was a waste of time."

Serethiel took care to dress herself in less intimidating attire, straying away from the deadly black armour that was her typical garb, barbed with all sorts of unseemly surprises and hidden attributes. Slipping on instead a loose dark tunic over her hidden maille, she took with her only the barest of essentials, and left the dagger in her boot. The patch over her cobalt orb was replaced and tied securely. Attracting unwanted attention would simply cause her trouble; besides, it wasn't at all strange for any resident of Au Shindaugo to be marred with some form of permanent damage. They would simply assume she'd lost an eye in rivalry or the Academy, and leave it at that.

The streets were filled with typical mayhem of slaves and traders, offering her a measure of subterfuge against the masses. It was apparent, however, that she was not full drow, given the odd golden hue, in contrast to the average gray, that brushed her tattooed features, but the only real evidence of Seldarine the halfblood possessed was carefully hidden away beneath engraved leather.

She stepped quietly into the cafe, ignoring the unexpected appearance of her master not out of disrespect, but of necessary concealment, as he sidled past her. If the male acknowledged her, he did not show it, but a customary, wretched smirk pulled at his lips as he vanished into the shadows. If Ilharn Val'atar reserved any further orders, he would find a means of doing so. Sereth grinned inwardly, but her face remained quite placid as she guided herself to a seat, cloak hissing over the floorboards.

Kiaransalee had been watching Erelala closlely, something she only did for her highly favored. This mortal woman had been doing well on remembering her sacrifices, and the Revenancer was grealty pleased by this.
At this point in time the goddess did not appear in her beautiful drow form. No, her body was ash gray, like the ash her crones painted on themselves. Her normally, sleek white hair was frizzled and dry. Kiaransalee's body was abnormally thin, the bones seemed to stretch her skin. The white of her eyes were now black, however the yellow irises remained.
The Death Goddess smiled, showing her yellow, decaying teeth.

As Erelala rode by on her steed, it was suddenly jerked to the ground. Skeletal hands reached for the flanks and mane of the horse. It thrashed violently against its captives, whining all the while. The ground around them opened up, sinking Erelala and her horse in, into a grave. Another pair of skeletal hands snatched up and grabbed a handful of the drowess's hair. Forcing her further down. Skulls leered at her from everyside as the ground began to close around them.

As she rode she took no notice really her mind else where. She was nearly tossed from the saddle as the great nightmare was halted in place being drug to the ground. Pushing her hair from her eyes to see the threat Erelala really had no need as the skeletal hands grasped and clung to the silver tresses. She fought to get them to release her, then she realized and feared nothing. Submitting to the skeletal hands and leering gazes that peered at her. The goddess had a plan that involved her.

reivan had emerged from the temple of Shar several hours after he walked in, and although not a spec of his body was visible under his clothes the bleeding rose emblem of Xukuth D'Roesor marked him as the lord of the assassins guild. Although it was undeniably him, he seemed different to those who knew him. he moved faster now and had more of a lightness in his step but the stench of undeath was stronger than ever. The assassin lord spoke to and stopped for no one as he moved through the city heading straight home.

Seth stopped in front of a small cafe near one of the main roads. She turned quickly to Shadow. "Why don't you use your abilities to scout around? It would take me hours to cover all this ground." If there were unemployed mercenaries in the city, they weren't going to have a stall at the market like farmers. They would be hidden away in the seedier corners of Au'Shinduago, perfect hunting grounds for Matron Derahel's best soldier.
Seth felt a small tap on her boot. She looked down to find her Reivan doll climbing up her leg. He looked different, someone had been playing with her toy. "Well?" She asked eagerly. "Reivan says that if the mistress wishes for him to return, then she should speak to him herself." The doll croaked. Seth growled deep in her throat. She would have to deal with him later. There was no time for that now. "You will stay with me for now." She hissed to the toy.
