Remus blinked and grinned at his own daring. "No, of course! That's fine! I just thought, seeing as we're in seperate houses, you might like to bring someone along that you actually know," he assured her.

"Well, between you and me," Wendy very conspicuously looked both ways as though making sure no one was listening before stage-whispering, "Of the Ravenclaws I know, I actually like very few of them." She finished off with a giggle.

Remus raised his eyebrows. "Wow, really? I could never imagine not liking the other Gryffindors. I mean, sure, there are a few pricks about here and there, but a house has to stick together, you know?" he said reasonably. "Anyway, I never said it had to be a Ravenclaw. Any friend would suffice if it would make you more comfortable."

Wendy placed a hand to her chin, looking thoughtful.
So what do you say now? Thanks but I haven't any friends?

Besides the one standing in front of you, Wendy.
I have friends! Just not.. good friends...
As she was having this internal argument, Wendy was struck with an idea.
"What about Marketa? She's nice! Besides," she gave a knowing smirk, "I'm sure Sirius wouldn't mind having her around."

Wendy smiled and nodded. "Awesome! Now to find her and ask if that's all right. D'you wanna come, or do you have somewhere to be?"
Wendy was under the impression that if she played her cards just right Remus would forget that she'd been rushing to get somewhere only moments before. The truth of the matter was that she hadn't really had anywhere to be; her shyness had simply gotten the better of her and her brain had momentarily shorted out, causing her to panic and want to flee. It was an uncommon occurrence, but it happened.

Remus shook his head benignly. "Nah, I was only in here for some leisure time. We could go find Marketa (and I'm sure wherever she is Sirius is as well), then just...lounge, I guess." He shrugged and smiled.

Wendy smiled, doing a little happy dance inside, elated that her plan had gone as... planned... "Excellent! C'mon!" she said, only half-aware that she'd grabbed his arm, and she led him down the corridor without any knowledge of where she was headed. "So where d'you reckon we should look first?"

Wendy skidded to a halt and furrowed her brow with thought. "Well, using what we know about each of them, if you were Sirius, and I were Marketa, where would we be?" she asked as though it were a perfectly logical question. Knowing that it might not be, she rattled off a few locations, just to get their brains working: "The Great Hall, unlikely, the grounds, possible, the library, no, the hospital wing, I hope not..."

Sasha put the book she was reading down and yawned. 'I think that's enough studying for today.' She thought. She put the book back in its rightful place. Sees Remus and Wendy talking. 'God, I am such an idiot. Remus must think I'm rude.' Sighs and walks out of the library, looking sad.

Wendy was going to continue when she noticed Sasha leaving, looking disheartened. "Oi, Sasha, you all right?" she asked, looking concerned.

~Later~ Remus entered the Library and sighed, leaning up against the end of a bookshelf and closing his eyes wearily. He hated getting snappy with friends, but sometimes it only hurt them more if he didn't.

Wendy stopped short in front of the library doors. When she'd started for the library she'd had a sneaking suspicion that she and Remus had been headed for the same place. Now she could see that she was right. She took a tentative step back, indecisive. She'd already bumped into him in the library, and not that long ago, either.
He might think I'm following him or something, she thought, cringing. Then she remembered how he'd looked a little upset when he'd left the Great Hall. When she thought of that, she reached her decision: Well, he's my friend, so I'm going to make sure he's okay. Taking a deep breath and praying that she wouldn't seem invasive or stalkerish, she entered the library.
