"Have you forgotten already?" Alder said, flipping acrobatically through the air, before landing on his feet a ways away from Rei. "Air combat is my specialty." He said, before dashing at Rei, giving her next to no time to react, or get any rest. He began his attack with his traditional three swing strike. He swung his rapier upwards, from her left hip to right shoulder, following up with a 45 degree arc slash across her chest, then, with the current position his rapier was in, which was in the middle of her torso, slightly to the left side, he twisted his rapier back, and slashed at her right shoulder, at an angle which Rei would have to execute a nearly bonebreaking maneuver to counter.

Alder easily parried the oncoming slash, and used her hesitation from pain to his advantage. As she jumped, he jumped, mirroring her moves, with the exception that he was spinning. He landed on the ground on one foot, and put all the momentum into the other as he aimed a powerful spinning kick at her chest, intending to knock the wind from her with the force of the kick.

As Hishida calmly listened to the various sounds of battle that were spread across the forest, he proceeded deeper into its center. Many times had he visited this region of Sereitei, for enjoyable reasons such as bird watching, shamisen playing, or just resting after a long day of training. Though the death god was incapable of thinking of an instance where he had come here for a reason that differed from the three listed above, today didn’t have to do with any of them.

Although the path ahead of the uneasy shinigami was not certain, he knew that he would have to isolate himself to the point where he could be completely vulnerable. This included not being able to hear or speculate any sort of shinigami related activity. All this meant was that he would have to venture to parts of the forest where few shingami have traveled. It stumped the brown haired youth as to how people were able to enter and leave the vast forest without getting lost; after all, this was the “Endless forest”.

As he planned out his brief, but crucial journey, the youth hoped that this effect would apply no matter how far he endeavored into the mysterious depths of the forest. To pass the time, he recalled recent experiences, and ran through his mind the battle he had with Hatsume during the seating tournament. A single handed back hand spring… a slice to the arm, the skirmish flowed through his mind as if it was currently happening. It was an honest shame that the duel was ended by another reiryoku incident.

His second reiatsu was an ongoing issue with Hishida, especially during battle. The soul reaper knew that if he were to take up a seat in the thirteenth division squad, this dangerously aggressive and powerful reiatsu would have to be dealt with. This was the subject at hand that he planned on confronting with his journey. What changes would succumb to him? How would he deal with this confrontation? These questions raced through his mind as he tediously made his way to wherever he wanted to go to; questions to be answered within the next few painfully long hours.

Alder had already leaped back when Rei flung herself at him, so her kick met him only as she had finished her kick, knocking him to the ground. He skidded across the ground for a few feet, and quickly retained his balance. The back of his uniform was now worn, and there were a few bleeding slices on the back of his neck from the fall. "Not bad...." Alder said, brandishing his rapier, and looking upon Rei with a grin. "But...I'm tired of fighting, honestly. I'm gonna take things seriously now."

His next series of attacks were beyond ferocious, possibly even feral. He lunged at her violently, and delivered complicated slashes in rapid succession, quickly slicing at her arms, legs, and even her midsection. He no longer focused on defending himself, but only on defeating Rei as quickly as possible. When his series of attacks were finished, he spun so quickly that an untrained eye would not have been able to react, and put all his remaining potential energy from his slashes into a massive spinning kick, which flew right towards Rei's chest. The force of the kick, as it was heading towards Rei, caused the air around it to whistle as it was being split by his foot.

Because Alder had just executed a spinning kick, he was easily able to continue his spin, allowing him to parry Rei's attack successfully. He set his foot down to stop himself, and he kept his blade locked with Rei's. "Color me impressed, but..." He faded off as he swung his sword in a forty five degree arc to the right, placing his Zanpakuto's blade right up against the separation of Rei's sword hilt and blade. "You still have much to learn in the art of swordplay." He said, quickly flicking his wrist, and entire blade. This was a well executed move in swordplay, designed to knock the blade from an opponent's hands with little or no effort. After the move had been executed, Alder went in for a slice across her chest.
