Mai hardly flinched at the glare.

"Whatever~!" Mai said in a sing-song voice, still grinning. She cackled cheerily, before losing the smile and laugh.

"Fine." She said, in a monotone voice. Mai's personality had switched from happy, to serious in a matter of seconds.

Sometimes this happened.

Itachi and Kisame were walking through the forest. They had heard word about the person being nearby, definitely in the forest, at this point, they were following a trail of dead plants. The demon was probably having a fit at the moment and releasing energy, therefore killing everything the man went near. They were running quite fast and they were happy when they saw a hinched over old man at the end of the trail. As he walked, the trail extended behind him. He seemed nervous, maybe even scared. There was a crunching noise behind him as Kisame jumped down. The man turned around, and his neck extended, blasting at Kisame and shooting poison from his mouth. Kisame jumped to the side, and swung Samehade over his back at the outstretched neck, but the sword was easily avoided. Kisame then, was very lucky they were near a creek. He side stepped the poison and the head and grabbed the man's neck, flipping him over into the creek and making a dome of condensed water around the man, immobilising him. The man then exploded, blasting the water into steam. Kisame just saw the real man hiding behind a tree. He formed a disk of water and floated over, to avoid crunching leaves, then he swung Same hade around the tree. The man dodged, though he got skimmed on the arm, making a nice rip and sucking away some chakra. It slammed into the tree bark, and as he ripped away from the tree, the tree was pretty much half destroyed right there. The disk under Kisame turned into a blade and flew at the man who hit the water out of shape with his cane, but it still splashed onto him. The water then surrounded his body and constricted around it. Kisame then placed Samehade on the defensless man's shoulder and ripped back, making a large rip and sucking away alot more of the man's chakra. He then hit the man on the head with Samehade's pommel, he smiled as he started carrying the man over his shoulder back to base, Itachi silently walking by his side.

"Thank god you're done hyper-ing. It was annoying enough when it was just Tobi who did that." Ryu crossed her arms across her chest, then tipped her hat down.

Ah yes. Her Akatski hat. The awesome one. And, if she did say so herself, she looked quite awesome it it.

A scout from the Shadow Riders was performing a large search for villages in the Land of Fire, already the Riders have burned and taken from three villages on the border of the land. This scout was known for being nervous, he being the same one to deliver news to Minronu himself. His name is Goif Byaku, one of the lower classed riders within the group. Goif's mount was more thne expected for such a rider, being known as one of the msot agile of the Shadow Beasts, Furoh. He was extremely fast, often even beating Gria in the Shadow Races once a year. Those races were coming soon in fact and the Riders hoped with a friendship with the Leaf Village to be able to host it near the Leaf Village to earn some trust between them. That wasn't going to happen now, the Riders were too deep within thier conquest over the villages in the Land of Fire. Goif was a bit nervou being alone, but Furoh was calm, till he smelt soemthing odd within the air. Their was a scent in the air of two people very close by their position. They had a very familiar scent on them, the same scent found on Knight's letters sent to Minronu. Goif could feel Furoh had found something intresting nearby and spoke.

"What is it Furoh? Is..."

Goif gulped out of fear, he desperately hoped no one was nearby that was dangerous, like Leaf Village Scouts. However, he could see within Furoh's mind nad detect it wasn't Leaf Village ninja, but something else.

"I see, do we have to check it out? Can't we call..."

Before his sentence was finished, Furoh immediantly started running towards the scent of the two people. As they got closer, the scent became more clear and their image more vivid. They were two women that had the smell of others on them that Furoh didn't regonize, but one was the scent of Knight. They jumped from out of the woods and confornted the two travelers; Furoh having a distant view of them and Goif clsoe to soiling himself.

"Why do you drag me...Oh...Crap, you're an idiot..."

Goif regonized the cloaks they wore, they are members of the Akatsuki. He got the scense from Furoh that these two were lniked to the person sending letters to their leader, the Knight guy.

"I'm sorry to bother you two, but...Uh...Um..."

Furok nipped at Goif's leg and he jumped up with a yelp from the sudden pain, despite it being minor. Scout Shadow Beasts sacrificed large teeth made for tearing, for small teeth made for gripping. They were liek a new species compared to thier larger brethern, but still had much value to the Shadow Riders.

"Ow, fine, fine...Do you know a Knight person? My monut smells Knight's scent coming from..."

Furoh shook his head left and right in disspointment and yelp at his rider, meaning he was talking to him, probably mentally so he could understand. Shadow Riders could only understand thier monut, no one else did except for the leader of the Riders in order to assign a beast ot its new rider in case of death.

"Alright, alright...From your pack you have thier..."

"Yes. So? I like it. It gives me shade." Ryu liked the purple fingernails, too, since that was her favorite color. But she didn't like them on herself, as they offset her eyes. Or something. They just didn't look good on her.

She had tried wearing the same color purple to figure this out. It hadn't worked.

Ryu looked at where the creatures were. "Mai. There's nothing there. Are you sure you're OK? Hyperventilation might be giving you hallucinations or something..."
