Illusion lowered her shield in time to hear Moriarty. "If you want to have fun I could make you prison guard..." she spoke darkly, she wasn't in the mood to play. "If you're trying to be sarcastic I'll eat you myself..." She snapped a finger and the windows blew shut. "Who knows you're here?" She then remembered the breeze coming from Zig. "Wind warrior, who are you? Why did you bring him?"

Zig saw the man who had been speaking and wondered what he meant by saying they weren't any fun. Is he just planning to stand over there and watch? This guy reminded her of the trickster gods in mythology, the ones who stirred up trouble just because they could. But he wasn't her main concern at the moment. Illusion had decided she couldn't trust Taun and she didn't seem to be in a good mood. Zig was quick to answer when the princess addressed her, "I am a wanderer. I rarely visit this city and I prefer to roam throughout the lands though I am loyal to the air nation. I met him a few days ago and he has been an honest and helpful man. He aided you in putting out the fire at the Castle. Taun was interested in repairing the issue between our two nations and I trust him enough to believe that is his true intention." After finishing her speech Zig replied to Taun's look with a simple shrug. She had no idea who the new guy was or what he was doing here.

"Princess I meant no sarcasm." Taun insisted after Zig was done speaking. "I merely meant that I would do what ever you wish to prove my goodwill!"

Moriarty laughed a little about the whole bit about eating him. "Damn, I'm eat able, but that is called cannibalism, my dear children, and is in fact frowned upon in most societies." He said, with a giggle, his childish voice obviously giving him no right to call them children. He liked to call them that, though, because they acted really strange, in his opinion.

Illusion calmed down slightly, she felt no quivers in her breath to detect a lie, or she was very good at it. There was no such thing as being too careful. "Very well then, me and Lucas will speak to you and Taun. Hidama you may hold off on delivering every message I previously instructed." She looked at Morr. "I like your sense of humor, I would like to keep you around."

Despite the strange demeanor the new guy had Zig still smiled a little at what he said. She'd have to file that little quote away in her head somewhere to be plucked out at a later date. She was glad that the princess had decided to talk with Taun. Perhaps things will go better now that she's willing to discuss the issue at hand.

Taun remained standing but on the inside he was collapsed on the floor exhausted. I always hated court with royalty, he thought to himself. but I think that that actually went well. But this was of course only the prelude.

"Oh really?" Moriarty mused the idea as he looked around. "I guess I could get used to a place like this..." His own house was pretty big, but because his brother bought it, it was very shiny and crystalline, not quite his style. He thought about it for a moment. "Weird..." He thought "...How I don't frighten her the way I did the others."
He shrugged the thought off and looked back at Taun. "Yup, I chose the perfect day to come here." he mused, making a mockery of the serious situation. He sighed. "Not smart..." He mumbled to himself. "...If I want to stay here, don't want to piss off the Matriarch."

Luke's mouth twitched into a sarcastic smile at Moriarty's antics. "Children? I think I'm the only child here, Morrie."
He snapped his teeth at the shadow, smiling. "And cannibalism sounds mighty appealing right now."
Humor aside, he turned to face the newcomers and Hidama. "Hidama, please go down to the kitchens and tell the chefs to prepare something for our guest- and our returned friend."
His eyes wandered over Taun and Zig, then flicked to Illusion and back. He took her hand and squeezed it lightly, using his natural charge to tickle her palm. "Peace, Princess," he whispered. "We must treat our guests with respect, especially in diplomatic areas."
He stepped forward toward Taun and Zig, and bowed lightly. "Pardon me for not speaking up earlier," he said, a polite smile touching his lips. "I am Lucas, son of Edward, newly wed Prince of Air."
He gestured toward the door. "We would be most willing to listen to your story, Master Taun, but perhaps in another setting, and a later time. Much has happened very, very rapidly, and we'll need a few hours to acclimate to our new situation."
He bowed again as he spoke, his tone implying more than a simple suggestion. "If Master Zig would be so kind as to lead you to the great halls, we may all dine shortly."

Zig was surprised to hear that Lucas was now Prince of Air. So they're married then? "Congratulations you two. I hope you live long and happy lives together," she said before addressing the slight issue of her gender. "Just in case of technicalities I am actually Madame Zig." The quick smile that flashed across her face indicated that Zig held nothing against Lucas for referring to her as a male; she was pretty used to it. "And I'd be glad to lead Taun down to the hall. I myself could use a meal at the moment."

Moriarty laughed a little bit at Zig. "You could use a meal, so you lead him? Cannibalism is so BLATANT here." He shrugged, and thought about his own stomach. He slinked up behind them, silently following them, hopefully to food.

Zig whispered back, "Sure he's a bit odd, but he is entertaining." She gave a bow to the prince and princess of air before exiting from the room and heading toward the dining hall.

Taun bowed to the Prince and Princess then followed Zig towards the dining hall. "Well that could've gone much worse, don't you think?" He asked Zig.
