L stared at Thorn with eyes of a very close observer. What has happened? screamed the man's mind, but on the outside he always kept control, kept calm. That was the only was he kept authority around here.
"What surprised looks?" he asked her. "You just fell down the stairs, but no harm was done." He gave the two girls looks that suggested they play along for reasons to be explained later.

Kairu got the message and played along.
"Y-yeah! Good thing you're okay!" She said calmly.
Thorn thought it was strange for Kairu to be acting in such a way, but she didn't mind. Instead she smiled. But the smile soon faded when she noticed a little blood on her shirt.
"Dammit where did this come from?! It'll take ages to get out!"
Kairu cursed loudly inside her head and thought fast. She was pretty good at lying most of the time to keep her cover but not to her own family. She carefully pulled a pin from her pocket (what the hell was that doing there?) and slowly made a small cut in her arm.
"Sorry sis that was me." She showed the cut and put a tissue to it. "Ow?"

How odd, L thought, examining the two as closely as a man who bets on race horses with a large debt to repay. Rather strange. Their behavior I will have to report on later. Does she not feel pain by asking the question of "Ow?" Ah! Thorn must be one of the rare few who cannot feel pain.*>^<* But as for the rapid healing...I will discuss this with my colleague.
Yet all the detective said on the outside was, "Hmm."
*>^<* I don't remember the word for this, but you get the idea.

((srry, i wasn't paying attention for a bit ><)) Kitty ran down the stairs and stood by them in enough time to see the cut heal. She blinked at L for a moment then understood to just play along. "yeah, you missed a bullet...you could have broken your neck.." >< ((what a positive thought...))

Thorn merely blinked for a while and laughed a little when Kairu said that. She was very confused but knew not to react infront of L and kitty. Especially L.

L, thoughts swimming through his mind, left the three where they were to retreat to his office. It was time for more investigating on the Kira case...as well as these two strange orphans.

The twins went back to Thorn's room and sat on the bed. Thorn changed her top for a small black corset and attempted to remove the bloodstain from it.
"Okay I know that wasn't from your arm Remu."
"I thought I was Kairu?"
"It's a fake name. We don't need to use them in private places."
"Okay then HANA. The blood was yours. When we fell down the stairs you got a huge cut right across your neck. But it healed seconds later."
"Is that even possible?"
Remu paused. She had completely forgotten that Thorn wasn't human.
"Shinigami can't die. If you were a normal person you'd have died within minuites with a wound like that. Your neck healed itself. Just like my arm."
To prove it, Remu showed her arm where the cut had been. Now there were no marks to show it had existed.
"Wow."

Kitty wandered off to go watch some TV, thinking about the cut on Thorn's neck while doing so. She remembered that the TV may not even have and video, so she went to her room to read. She got there and sat on her bed with her Ipod and started reading a very thich book that was three books in one.

((Let's just say i've been off on my own cases))
Ulysses returned to wammy's after being out on cases for several months. He was a bit more mature looking and concerned about the danger of Kira against L. The whole situation made him uneasy. He grasped his forehead, the thought of L challenging someone so dangerous gave him a headache.
"I need to stop worrying, Ryuzaki-sama always comes out on top." he mumbled as he walked past K's room. He knocked on the door hoping there wasn't music blaring in her ears. "K get out here. I'm bored wanna practice?"

Thorn heard knocking coming from down the hall around kitty's room. She and Kairu poked their heads around the door and watched U trying to get kitty out of her room. Thorn stared for a moment at the well-dressed young man with his neat dark hair and violet eyes.
"HEllO-"
Her speech was cut off when Kairu yanked her back inside the room before the boy could see them. She quickly locked the door and sat Thorn down on the bed.
"Who was that?"
"I have no idea but he's soooo cute. He looked around kitty's age. And those eyes-"
"Don't even think about it."

She only had one headphone in her ear so she heard him knowing and jumped. She stared at the door wide-eyed until she heard U's voice. She blinked then placed her book down on her bed, and walked over to the door. She opened it and stared at him "I was wondering where you were...and sure...Wait practice what? 'Cause you know i have no idea how to play hapkido."

Ulysses blinked "you need to learn some fighting style, or else you'll die fast." he said matter of factly. "besides....I'm Booooooooooored." he whined.

She grumbled a bit but sighed. "alright...but please note that just because i may not know a style of fighting doesn't mean that i can't fight. I've been playing soccer for the past few years so i can kick pretty hard." She said with a bit of a grin. "Sooo...where were you planning on practicing?"

((please note, i have a very little idea of what Hapkido is, so i won't be able to rp here very well. All i know is what i found on youtube. And that's not much since i lost attention after a bit. ><))
She quickly jumped out of the way and blinked a bit, realising that she still had stuff in her pocket. So she did an X with her hands, the sign for "timeout" and emptied her pockets in her room. She closed the door then got into one of the few battle poses she knew.
