Arron's eyes grew wide with near terror seeing his first vampire that their father had often described. His heart thudded in his chest as he seemed frozen to the earth as thought the ground grew hands and latched onto him.
Mirage raced ahead of Korai to get to the others' aid. "Mother don't!" She feared what she'd do...All she wanted to come here for was to see her brother...not watch two of her friends die a horrible death!
((Not like we'd let that happen ^.~ ))

"If it isn't my sweet little Mirage..." Sangula leered at the girl. "Finally come back to me." She smirked at the boys, "And brought me dinner..."
Arron, get out of there! Korai mentally shook his brother, trying to get him out of shock.
Sorin blinked, "Mother? Ah! She's one too!!!!"

Mirage merely returned the leer. "Not dinner..." She simply told her.
Arron shook his head, clearing his mind as though he was coming out of a daze rather then a shock. His first vampire was scarier then hell... Sorin...we shouldn't stay put... In fact Arron didn't want to attack or anything just yet....not until he knew what was going on....something not covered in vampire hunting training sessions.

No, you think? Sorin shot back as he edge backwards, trying to drag Arron with him.
"Pity," Sangula said flatly. "It's so unfortunate that my daughters turned out to be such a disappointment to me...Scarlet was always weak but at least you had potential..."
"And what of her brother," Korai said quietly, but the quick flicker of the vampire's furious gaze to him made it clear she'd heard.
"He is mine..."

"Pity...you should see Zarina...." She snipped back. "Where is Dracul?"
Arron scowled and refrained from doing anything except follow.

"Safe..." Sangula said quietly, her cold gaze slipping back the the girl. "You should worry less about him and more about the fate of your friends." She licked her lips eying the boys, "They look quiet delicious..."
Sorin took another stop back.
"Stay away from them," Korai said pulling the stopper from his water pouch.

Arron frowned and armed himself with sword, watching Sangula carefully and watching her every movement.

"That's too bad..." Sangula said eying first the pouch then the sword. "And what do you plan to do with those, little boys? Your silly toys are nothing against one such as myself. Though perhaps a demonstration is in order..." She hissed lunging at Sorin.
Duck! Korai called out as he drew the water from his pouch.
Sorin hit the ground half a second before the vampire's jaws snapped and Korai's water whip cracked, stunning the monster.
"Move!" Korai ordered nudging Sorin and Arron away from the creature.

Arron yelped before he was darting away. Okay so a basic sword wasn't what he was after....
Mirage growled and lunged for her mother, her own fangs revealing themselves with a small glow to her eyes. She found herself on top with fangs sinking for her mother's shoulder.

Sangula hesitated long enough to let the girl strike, "Poor child," she said staring blankly at the little vampire. "So unknowning of our ways. Our life force and power comes from the blood and the bonds it forms...like the one you've just strengthened."
Secure in the knowledge that his brothers were moving towards the edge of the woods, Korai turned back towards the battling vampires, "Mirage, come on!"

Mirage merely held on, the taste of her mother's blood intoxicating as she simply started drinking....yet with this news came some hope for her and her brother Dracul....She kept the thought buried and locked away under tight security, her fangs seemingly trapped i her mother's shoulder..
Arron peeked from the edge of the woods and watched, stunned yet scared. Their friend was willingly drinking from a vampire... "Korai?" He whispered nervously...

"Mirage!" Korai called again, a hiss of frustration followed. "Get out of there!"
Sangula smiled. Through the blood bond she could sense the child's thoughts, her feelings of triumph. "There may be hope for you yet..." Sangula mused. "That's right, taste the power. It offers you everything, everything you've ever wanted...but that's enough for now!" Sangula rolled over, her fangs now lunging at the girls throat. Fair is fair...

Mirage's glowing eyes locked with her mother's before she smiled sweetly before she pushed her feet under Sangula and shoved her off.
"Not unless I see my brother...."
Shifting to her feet, her lips smeared with dark rich blood, Mirage shuddered as she felt her talent come forth. She felt supple and desirable with the way she felt... Power was different to everyone.... Her mother hungered for dark power....Mirage hungered for something else.
Arron dug his feet in and darted back out and tugged on Mirage's cape. "Come on!!!" He feared the worst was to come if they didn't all leave....Mirage even scared Arron more then Sangula did and Sangula was the true threat..
"My brother...." She whispered softly, pitching her voice lower, huskier.
"Korai!" Arron shrieked for his brother's helping since she wasn't listening, so focused on Dracul was Mirage...

"Come, my sweet, Mirage," Sangula purred, her voice pitched low, almost hypnotizing. "I'll take you to your brother..."
"You're not taking her anywhere," Korai growled hurling the contents of his water pouch over the vampire and freezing it, effectively turning the demon into an icy statue even as he was scooping Mirage up. "We're leaving now."
"About damn time!" Sorin called back. "Come on you guys!"

Mirage was transfixed by her mother's voice before she found herself in Korai's grasped and taken off with. She blinked at him like she didn't recognize him before her eyes fixed on his mouth, her tongue licking against her own, still tasting the blood there...
Arron followed his brothers like his life depended on it (in a way it did!) He didn't even bother to look back but merely watched his brothers and Mirage, especially mirage like she'd launch herself any moment and get him...
