The side of his lips twitched into a momentary half smile. Weary girl... more intelligent than he thought. He stiffened his posture and tied the scarf holding the mask over his shoulders so that the mask was now over his left shoulder.

"Then, please grant me the pleasure of your company. My ventures here would surely be much warmer with a companion." He had only made himself appear slightly younger than he was, but he was starting to think he should done a little bit more. No sense in complaining now. He slowly reached out his hand as if to take hers, although he was still a good distance away. It was just as he thought. The girl had never been to the island either. If he caused more trouble than he could handle, she'd make an excellent scapegoat. Still, he needed to find the kage of this village... challenging that person would certainly take more cunning than he had needed in years.

Izumi's eyes kept themselves locked with his as he seemed to harden his stature. When he spoke yet again, her soft smile returned. "Of course," she told him. Izumi was completely oblivious to any sort of wrong doings the man might have in mind for the young girl, and happily let her hand fall into his. The man seemed nice and willing to keep her company. But she was, as of yet, unsure of his motivations on what to do. He seemed kind to her and a polite man in her eyes, but that wasn't always the case with the nice people, especially men. But Izumi was very trusting and would do as told if it would make another person happy, so she'd stay with him. "I have food if you are hungry. An older boy came by a little bit ago and gave it to me, and made me a fire to warm myself. He seemed nice but I never got his name, sadly. Here," Izumi released the man's hand and went to the overturned boat, lifting it and grabbing a random piece of fruit she'd yet to eat and walked back to the man. Holding it out for him in case he wanted it, she smiled to him just as softly as before. The girl would rather give someone something she had and didn't need than keep it for herself later. Speaking of something for herself, she'd be needed to go hunting for something to make clothing out of. At least something enough to keep her a bit warmer durring the days to come.

"Eh... no, I'm not hungry. Thank you for your kindness..." Kenichi was a bit intimidated by how easy that seemed to be.

"Please forgive me, I did not ask your name. And if it is no trouble, may I ask why you're out here in the cold? Shouldn't you be in a place where there are more people?" The man still needed information from the girl, and what he needed to know the most was where the majority of people were. He certainly wouldn't go there, but if he could send the girl as a distraction. He stepped a little closer to the girl and gently let his hand brush over the top of her head, giving her a bright smile while he waited for her answer. Some appropriate physical contact would make him seem less threatening and help to solidify trust... or so he read. He usually didn't bother being so pleasant to children since they were so easily manipulated either way.

Izumi smiled to the man when he thanked her and returned the fruit to its place beneath the overturned boat. "Oh, I'm sorry, that's very rude of me. My name is Meho, Izumi. It's nice to meet you." Izumi bowed to the man before standing and smiling to him brightly. "I'm out here because I needed to make sure my boat didn't drift away to the sea. I was with a few people at the Academy, but they took too long on simple tasks and nobody was talking to anyone else. But there was this fire headed man there that seemed a bit demanding of the students. He threw one kid into a bookshelf. But I got the man to laugh." Izumi smiled, proud of herself a bit, that, and she'd also been told by the man that she should talk to the others and show them how diplomacy is. Or something like that, the moment was fuzzy in her mind, as was much of things that happened in the past. She felt the man's hand touch her head and she flinched a bit. The girl hadn't expected for him to touch her so it was a bit of a shock. When the shock of the touch had passed, she smiled up at him before respectfully taking a step back. Even if he was kind, it was a bit much to touch her. She then turned and sat about ten feet from the fire the kind boy had made for her and allowed her fingers to dig into the cold frozen water above the earth. The was chilly, but nothing too bad.

Izumi's attention was taken completely away from the strange man as she brough her legs up to her side and grabbed another handful of snow and folded it in her hands. The snow was still chilly, but that should fade soon enough. She dug her fist into the middle of the ball of snow she'd created and twisted it. After looking at her attempt of a bowl, she sighed. It was already falling apart and unwilling to 'live' as a bowl. She let the snow crumble from her hands as she took up another handful. Shivering slightly, Izumi closed her eyes until she no longer could be effected by the cold. It was still chilly, very chilly, but nothing that could get her off of the ground. The powder beneath her small body felt a bit like a fluffy comforter, just about fifty degrees colder. It was soft at least. The young teenage child squeezed as hard as she could to make the ball of snow compact. Then chipping at the bottom ever so lightly to make the bottom ring that most bowls had to keep them steady ontop of the table. Though usuallly they were made of clay, Izumi had her's out of snow. She smiled as her snow ball/bowl took the look of a crystal ball.

Izumi began to tap her toe to the light tune she was humming. Izumi always found it a comforting little song that she loved sing often. As she turned around the ball of frost in her hands and critiqued the ball in her mind, she slowly started to hollow out the inside. Picking at the top and making sure she didn't do anything that would make her creation crumble as the first one did. She couldn't be having something like that happen again! The light tune started to turn into little lalala's as she became a bit more caught up in her little design. Soon enough it was half way hollowed out and Izumi's little smile turned into a brighter one. Perhaps she could make a plate if this turned out well enough? Izumi's body was still feeling the sting to her legs from the cold of the snow beneath her, but she tried to ignore the sting and keep on going with creating her little pieces of art. The thought of what else she should do to her little bowl was starting to get Izumi a little hyper. Well, more hyper than usual.

Izumi let her small, thin, delicate looking fingers slide against the inner of the hand made snow bowl to dig little amounts of snow and bring it to the outside. Soon enough, it was finished and Izumi held it up into the air to looked at it critically, as if to see what else needed to be fixed to make this unique ice bowl even more unique. She smiled before looking over to Kenichi. "Isn't it pretty~?" she mused before setting it onto the white powdered floor and was about to get another handful of snow before spying the fire. It seemed to be dwindlinng down a bit. Not to mention the snow that the nice boy had set it on was melting quickly. It would be quite a shame when the only source of heat Izumi had would be gone. Perhaps she could head back to the Academy when the fire completely died? But that would be rude to leave Kenichi alone like that...Maybe she could go into the village with him and find someone who knows the leader of this village before heading back. Or even better! The fire haired man at the Academy would probably know the leader! He seemed to be a very smart person, he'd defintely know who it was that lead the village!

The long haired, dark skinned angel continued to sit in the snow as she continued to critique her bowl inbetween gazing into the fire a few feet away. Izumi then let the bowl sit, and picked up another large piece of snow. A plate would be a bit harder to make, seeing as how it would need to be flat. She then decided to just leave it on the icy ground, and mold the plate that way. The creative little girl cupped a small piece of snow in her hand and let her hand move around in a circle until the rim of the plate could be seen. When that was finished, she gently let her hand glide over the top of the newly forming plate. It was a bit of a bubble looking thing at the moment, but Izumi was sure it would be a decent looking structure after she was through with it. Well, so she hoped. Her little lulaby still drifted in the air around her gentle figure as she seemed to take great care of her creations. The tiny girl didn't want to mess up her plate and have to make another one like she had to do with the bowl before. It would be quite a hassel if she were forced to redo the entire plate.

When the plate had a slight indention in the middle, Izumi stopped and looked at it. It was nearly finished now! Izumi picked up the already finished bowl and looked at the bottom to see how large the ring was that she had made there. Setting it down, she began to make a slightly larger ring inside the bowl as closely round as she could. After doing that, she dug out the inside of the ring she made and picked up the bowl. It seemed it was still in decent shape, but it was started to melt slightly, due to Izumi's body heat having been exposed to it so much. She placed the bowl perfectly into the plate and smiled. It was her own little food dish. Izumi smiled brightly as she kept her eyes on it. She knew she'd have to say goodbye to her little creations soon enough, though. Sighing, she laid down in the snow that didn't seem to be as cold as it was the first time she sat down in the powder. Maybe her bottom was so frozen she just couldn't feel it anymore...that would be a sad reality. A frozen behind didn't seem like something she wanted. Izumi closed her eyes as she let herself lie in the snow for a few moments. Her mind was completely taken away from the fact Kenichi was still there. He was a really strange person...

Deciding that it was time to get serious, Sukotto lowered his head and substantially picked up his pace. Before long, a large cloud of snow was being kicked out behind him. He had been slightly worried about running in the cold, however, it was actually quite easy to hold his heat with the jacket that Ichi had given to him as a gift. Additionally, when he ran, he quickly created enough energy to warm his entire body. If he stopped for a moment, the sweat created on his skin would quickly cool down and chill his body, so he knew that stopping would mean that he would have to take a break and dry off before continuing. With that in mind, the Uchiha decided not to stop until he was finished with the training. After all, he had no time to lose in regard to learning his taijutsu and setting out on the quest that would potentially take him and a few academy students to the Bird country.

Izumi kept her mind and body still for an untold amount of time. It wasn't like she was paying attention, but it wasn't more than roughly thirty seconds. Or so the tiny girl thought. Bringing her arms and legs together, rolled in the snow happily with a light giggle, the long black hair of her's collecting tuffs of snow and entangling itself into her silken locks. It's not like it mattered though. It would melt and wet her hair soon enough. She yawned, a light, blissful yawn, before rolling onto her back and staying still. Reopening her baby blue eyes, she stared up to the slightly grey skies and sighed. It never snowed back on Haha Island...That was the reason she was so underdressed for all this coldness... Izumi wasn't prepared to face any winter like this. It was then one of the snow flakes landed on the girl's nose and immidiately melted, running down and landing in her eye. Izumi sat up immidiately. It was salty and it kind of stung, but she quickly removed all traces of it before it started to hurt any more than it already did to begin with. Her eyes traveled to the further parts of the beach where that strange nice boy had ran off to. Izumi wondered why it was he was running in the first place. Just a little excersize? It looked fun.

Izumi's mind fuddled around with different thoughts, about the food here, how warm it was inside those houses she saw, if there were more nice people like Kenichi and the unnamed boy. She'd need to make her rounds and check out the place soon...Perhaps she could take a run through the village whenever she was finished helping Kenichi find the leader of this place. Speaking of, she'd need to meet that person as well...Especially to see if she would be allowed to live in this place. After all, she was just a strange little child with dark skin and hair with no other place to go. Izumi hoped the leader of this place would take a kind look to her and allow her to stay within his or her village's walls...and shore appearently. The young Meho child could still feel the slight coldness of the fruit the boy had given her. It was a bit chilly but what else could you expect during winter? It wasn't as though you could expect lucious perfectly temperatured fruit and vegetables at a time like this. That would be ubsurd to think. Laying back down on her back, she looked upwards to see Kenichi. "You know, that fire haired man back at the Academy place should know who is the leader of this village...If you like we could go there and ask about it? Or we could go see if that kind boy knows." Izumi pointed in the direction the boy had gone a while before. Merely a spec in the distance, Izumi was sure herself or the Kenichi man could catch up to him soon enough if they tried. With that said, Izumi laid herself back into a comfortable spot on the ground and closed her eyes once more.

Izumi wondered how long it had been since she was cast out from her family. A week? A few days? The dark skinned child wasn't interested in counting the days at the time, thinking that it wouldn't be that long before she hit land. The girl hadn't seen an ounce of land until this one island. Lucky for her, the boat seemed to be drawn to the land by some magnetic force, letting her fall gentle to the beach without any troubles. The now family deserted island girl rolled to her side, sort of deaf to anything around her. Curling up in the freezing snow, she shivered. She looked over for a moment at the dwindling fire. It was being eaten by the snow it seemed. The snow beneath the fire was melting, making the fire start to fall into the hole it was making, while the snow from above was falling and melting from the fire. She watched the fire through half-lidded eyes for a moment before forcing her body to sit up. Her movements turned lazy as she seemed to slouch slightly, gazing into the fire with a blank look to her. There wasn't really anything going through her mind, but she made a small little noise that made it seem so.

The silent Meho child kept the look about her until the large fire down the other side of the beach was heard starting up. It was a large bonfire, sending smoke into the air. There was a figure there in front of it as well. Was that the person that started it? It looked to be the figure of a man...but Izumi wasn't sure. His fire seemed a lot warmer than her's... Sighing, Izumi kept her eyes on the figure. Maybe he was being effected by the chill of the mid-winter air as well? She wouldn't blame him if he was. After all, who could stand being in such a cold place for so long? Izumi almost wished she was sent off sometime durring summer so she wouldn't be forced to stand in the cold. Looking away from the large fire and the being next to it, she returnd her sights to her own. The fire was slowly dying, and Izumi would have to leave soon to go help Kenichi find the leader of the village. Shimagakure wasn't it? Yeah...that was it. Izumi didn't see that many people here, perhaps it was a small village? Or maybe everyone was just hiding inside from the cold...That would make more sense than anything.
