"No, no, no crying," Orika said with a small smile, her brief emotional moment quickly forgotten, "I'm alright, I promise. Fact, I don't really feel anything at all." The girl shrugged and gave Tenko a thumbs up, then followed her to help clean up anything she might have left behind. At least the nurse wasn't too mad at them eating the emergency supplies. It was sort of an emergency if she thought about it hard enough. Orika grabbed a cloth and picked up the cockroach, giggling as she washed it off in the sink. The cool water flowed over her hands and reminded the girl of how thirsty she was after all those strong flavors and the salt from her own tears and Karite's. She took a glass, filled it up, and chugged the water down. Eh, it was a disappointment after eating all that stuff, but a nice change. Still... "Do you know a recipe for some tasty drink that'll clear the palate?" Orika asked, sticking her tongue out, her eyes crossed as she looked down and tried to visualize the sweet, bitter, and salty flavors that still clung to her mouth.

Nodding lightly to Orika as she was instructed to not cry, she finished picking up the substance on the floor. After cleaning it up completely, she moved next to Orika and threw the strange material in the trash, still unaware as to what exactly it was. She’d never seen anything so strange looking. Orika’s voice interrupted her wondering and she couldn’t help but jump slightly. “Oh, um. How about some tea? Would that be alright?” Gasping, her hands going up to her lips in a rush, she spoke quickly, having completely forgotten why she was at the clinic that day in the first place. “I’m supposed to be teaching the Academy students today and I don’t even know what I’ll be having them do! If any come that is…” Her voice trailed off, a hint of sadness trailing along with it. Tenko sighed gently, washing her hands with the water Orika had started and dried them off on her clothing, not seeing a cloth near that she could use. Kumiko had denied taking on the position of teaching the children today. And it was well enough. She didn’t know or like a lot of what would need to be taught at the clinic to the children. But still, a little help from her would have been nice. Her company would have been quite enjoyable as well. Smiling at Orika sweetly, she thought to herself, at least she was here for the time being.

The girl nodded, mmhming her consent. "Ooh, do what kinds do you have? Mum used to make these awesome brews, but I could never remember the process. It's ridiculously complicated!" She hopped out of the chair she had clamored onto and set her glass next to the sink. "Well, if no one else comes, I'll be here! Taking a class from you sounds like a lot of fun. Hm... I know! You could teach us basic first aid. Or which places are really weak and easy to knock someone out with. Ooh! I know! How to make tea. Haha. The mainland people are really big on tea ceremonies. Do you know how to do one?" Orika glanced out the window, eyes searching for the inevitable pile of wood. "I'll go heat up the stove!" she chirped. A minute later, the girl returned with an armful of wood, still a little moist from the outdoors dew. The water would evaporate with a touch of heat, though. She set to making a fire and put on a tea pot of water to boil. "Oh, wait, Mum always did something here..." Orika muttered, tapping her square jaw. Her face lit up and with an "Aha!" she dumped out the impure water and let the tap run for ten seconds before filling up the teapot to 3/4 of the way up. Orika took two tea cups and set them on the stove as well to preheat them. She set them on the edge, away from the most intense heat of the flame. "You do this so the temperature doesn't drop too quickly and ruin the tea, right?" the girl asked Tenko.

((Entrance from Tenmoki Household))
Akiko walked in from her ninjutsu training at home. Her partner had gone fairly rough on her, so she took quite a bit of damage to her side. She had taken a few hits in the same spot, too, so it wasn't something she would be able to ignore forever. She hadn't bothered to check it yet, so she couldn't tell exactly what state she was in. Nevertheless, that wasn't the main reason she came to the clinic. She was here to train.
She walked in with an awkward gait, though it was very slight and thus difficult to notice without being trained to look for it. More importantly, she seemed rather lost. Granted, this was a very large complex. Even though she had been here numerous times before, she never failed to take a wrong turn somewhere. To avoid this sort of episode again, she walked in a straight line from the front entrance and immediately looked for an adult that might be able to direct her where to go.

That blasted hag had awoken her from her day off to help out with the students. Didn’t Tenko have everything under control today? Well for whatever the reason the hag had to call Kumiko out today had better be worth it. The busty woman would have liked it if the teen with his hair in a ponytail Kaoru was still around and awake. That teen couldn’t have been that young. And also he could have probably made her feel five years younger. It was no secret that Kumiko was cougar, but now was not the time for that. With each step the woman took her breasts gave a slight jiggle. Within her doctor’s uniform the woman stepped through the door unsure of what to expect. She came through the back entrance and walked by her best friend and associate talking with Orika, the farmer girl if nurse cougar remembered correctly. She stepped out in front to see the face of a young, very petite girl. She didn’t even break five feet, with wispy hair, pale skin, and faded cobalt eyes. In her hair were large ribbons. The medical woman’s brow knotted slightly as she knew exactly what family this girl hailed from. “No wonder she asked me to do class today. That hag, just wants me to teach her family!” Kumiko thought, but let the idea drift away. She was always happy to teach someone. Whether it be from that busty know it all or to the shiest of children. A flick of her finger moved the blue locks from the woman’s face and she gave a small smile. “Good afternoon. I am Kumiko. It is a pleasure. What is your name? Are you not feeling well or have you come here for class today? Also if you did come for class, are you the only student or are others coming?” the nurse asked. She may as well make sure she did have a student to teach.

While the water was boiling, Orika decided to look around for some teas. She heard a voice in the next door and instantly her face lit up. "KUMIKO-SAN!" she yelled at the top of her lungs, knowing that a) the clinic was empty of patients and b) Kumiko wouldn't yell at her for being loud and fun! Orika bounded into the entryway and gave the woman a flying hug. She loved the seductresses' many antics and especially liked seeing her and Tenmoki-san argue. But now that Yuki had taken the position of Kage's adviser, she and Kumiko were together less and less and somehow that correlated to Orika being around Kumiko less and less. "How's it going?" she asked cheerfully, not waiting for an answer before going on, "I'm making tea? Wanna see? There's water boiling and I even remembered to preheat the teacups and pour out the water for ten whole seconds before using it! But um, now, I'm a little stuck. But, that's okay! I'll figure it out. What are you doing in the clinic? Can I help?" she asked in a frenzy, with a little hop after each sentence.

"A pleasure to meet you, ma'am," she began plainly, trying to be polite as possible without coming across as juvenile. "I'm Akiko. I was told I could come here to take some classes. There might be a couple more, but I don't think anyone was following me," she concluded. She had her eyes closed with a naive smile across her face, not wanting to seem like she was a threat. There was something behind this woman's voice that made her feel as if she were unwelcome there--just slightly, though. Akiko disregarded it for the time being. Upon opening her eyes again, she noticed that the nurse was very pretty, though she couldn't really justify why. She was wearing a strange uniform, but she supposed that it was assigned by the administration. She looked around for a brief moment, noting all the strange contraptions in the room, unable to identify the purpose of any one of them. She focused back on the nurse before her and got ready to follow her if the woman led her further into the building. She didn't say anything, though--she had too many questions about what she'd be learning and she couldn't think of the right way to put any of them forth. She did note another woman bounding right across her field of vision and, thinking quickly, she side-stepped so that she wouldn't get caught in the tackle. The tension she felt was eased a little as she saw grown adults acting a little bit like children. She gave a half-smile to this, not wanting to openly display her amusement but not fully capable of containing it.

As the busty woman gazed over the small girl in front her, an unexpected voice followed by a giant glomp almost made the Kumiko fall over. She smiled joyfully knowing only one girl was bounding with this much energy to almost knock her over unintentionally. She returned the hug and spun around once with Orika, setting her down and giving a small pinch to her cheek. “Ohh my! Orika-chan it is a pleasure to see you. How have you been? How have things been going on the farm? And how has the life of a ninja been? We must catch up.” she started. Before she could say something else Orika continued her chatter, which only made the nurse smile. With all that has happened to the village in the past couple of years, especially to Orika…. It was hard to find a kid, who has tragedy in their life, make a genuine smile like her. She was just like any farmer that Kumiko had seen in the past. Strong willed and a heart that can continue to battle whatever was thrown her way. The sexy nurse put her nose up to the air and took a sniff, smelling the tea being made. “Mmm. That smells good. Although I think you’re missing something to put inside. But I know you’ll figure it out.” the blue eyed woman said before continuing. “As for me being here, I’m to assist Tenko with teaching the class today because she asked me so politely.” which was a partial truth. The other part being Yuki. “Why not come out and assist my lesson when you’re done making tea?” Kumiko said before turning back to the other girl.
Her blue eyes had been scanning the polite young lady. She noticed how Akiko had a weird step. A slight limp probably caused by some training. Most likely taijutsu. Which probably meant she had some other aches and bruises. Well it could have always been worse. Her body could have been taking up one of the kage’s lessons. In which she would have probably been brought in on a stretcher… At least now this gave Kumiko an idea for today’s lesson. Giving the small girl a pat on the head waved her hand to follow her to another room. “Let’s start with something that can be very helpful to you in the future.” the nurse began as she entered the room. Once Akiko followed the big chest woman continued on. “ When you become a shinobi there will be times when you get hurt or injured. Just like how you have that small limp right now. While I’m pretty sure you can walk that off in the future you maybe faced on a mission where you or a partner has a broken or severed limb. At the same time they may need to be moved too.” as she said this the woman opened up a trunk and dug through looking for something. After finding what he was looking for Kumiko tossed the item for Akiko to catch. The item in question was a five foot, plastic medical manikin. It had a surprisingly soft feel to it as well with a bald head and red pants. On the back of his neck was small print in blue paint that said ‘I am not a piñata!’. “Meet Mokei Mokei. Mokei Mokei was your partner in training, but got clumsy and fell down a cliff. When he landed he twisted his arm, ankle and hurt a few ribs. Now you’re going to have to try and fix him up.” While saying this, the cougar female took one of the doll’s left arm and twisted it until something similar to the sound of a ruler being hit against a desk was heard. She did this again to right ankle and knee of the doll. Then she squeezed the sides until the same sound was made for a third time.
Kumiko then went over to a book shelf and produced the easiest book about aiding with fractures. The last thing she wanted to give such a young girl was to give her one of Yuki’s wordy texts. “Now before you go trying to help and make things worse you’re going to need to know what to do. You’re going to read up on how to make a splint, a sling, and wrap rib cages first. You can take your time and read carefully because once you’re done I’m not going to let you look back at the book. So read carefully and absorb the information the best you can. If there is something you do not understand, just tell me and I’ll explain it to you.”. With that said she placed the dummy on the floor with its broken bones, sat back in a chair and decided to watch the young girl read. She’d also keep an eye on Orika, just to make sure she didn’t burn down the hospital while making her tea.

Akiko nodded and immediately seized the book in question. It took an absurdly small amount of time to become enthralled with the material written within it. Then again, she had been like that for a few years--about six weeks or so after she first came to live with her aunt. She had found herself suddenly immersed in a brand new environment, one that was entirely at odds with everything she had experienced up until that point. She was forced to become a well-mannered girl, something that took a great deal of energy out of her. At night, she slept in an oddly-fluffy bed, unable to do anything but stare at the insides of her eyelids. Eventually, she grew accustomed to the requirements of her new home, and she had just enough energy left at the end of the day to stare blankly at the ceiling above her, unable to fall asleep. She quickly grew tired of that. Thus, she took a scroll off the wall and began to read it. When she was finished, she read another, and then another... and when she finally fell asleep, morning had just broken. Her aunt came in and saw that she was still sleeping, but she was never disturbed--just tucked in again. When this had happened a few days in a row and it was discovered that she was sleeping through most of the day, her aunt became a little concerned. Thus, she urged Akiko to take up reading as a hobby, to be performed during the daytime.
Akiko pored over the material in this volume. It was a bit much to take in at once, and she knew she'd have to put it all into practice, but she got a good enough grasp of the information. She learned the basics of how to control bleeding and apply bandages and dressings. The book went into graphic detail and, Akiko had to admit, she felt just a little repulsed by it. She silently wondered what it would be like to see her ally bleeding out by her side and having to actually touch... that...
((Umm... how do you handle a roll where you add a bonus to both the roll and the DC? Isn't that the same as a normal DC roll? I'm confused...))

[Sorry if I wasn't clear sweatdrop . All it means is that you add 10 to your total knowledge and Intelligence mod to make a DC of 10 so you have a 50% chance when you roll. So judging by your character's stats from your profile you have 6 Knowledge and an Intelligence Mod of 5. You add those together with the DC 10. That means your DC is 21.]

Almost immediately after Orika had called for her assistance, Tenko heard a noise coming from the door and looked over to see a young girl looking for someone. The soft smile she normally wore appeared on her face once again as she was about to greet her. Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately for her, Kumiko had came through the door as well and took over long enough for Tenko to finish up cleaning what she had to do and prepare for what she had planned for the students later on if they wanted something to do other than what Kumiko had given the child. The very second she had finished, she walked over to Kumiko’s side and bowed a good morning to her. When she had straightened herself, she then introduced herself to the girl as well. “Hello, I’m Tenko. Nice to meet you Akiko.” Staying quiet while Kumiko took charge, Tenko moved over to the desk and started to scribble down a few notes for Orika to do if she wished to. At least with notes she’ll know what to look for with Tenko’s puzzle. It should make for a good game for the girl and it would be a good thing for the girl to learn.

Aya was feeling a little better now and had a smile on her face while she played with her silvery green chakra, molding it into shapes while she walked towards the clinic. Kane had thought up of a pretty neat exercise for his students and Aya was having fun with it! She let the chakra dissipate as she reached out an arm to open the doors to the clinic. She waved at the person sitting in the desk that Tenko usually sat in. Aya figured that the nurses must be busy doing something. Heading into the clinic, Aya looked around for her mother. While she looked she spotted Akiko, Tenko and Kumiko in a room practicing on Mokei Mokei. "Holaaaa~!" Aya said in her chipper tone as she entered the room with a smile. "Eh~? MomaYuki has you practicing on Mokei Mokei already? You must be doing pretty good in the academy, Akiko-chan!" Aya said to her cousin with a big smile on her face. Aya hadn't been to the village in almost a year, so it would surprising that she would walk into the clinic out of the blue. "Hi Tenko! Kumiko!" the girl greeted the nurses cheerfully as she sat down next to Akiko who was referring to a book to treat the fake person. "Setting splints, slings and wraps, huh? Good thing you're practicing on a dummy first! Its always hard to treat real people, because they're in pain with every movement you do to set the bone in place," Aya said to Akiko with a bright smile, giving the girl a hint that bones must be in alignment first before any splinting can be done.

And then there was the ox. Maya knew there were two on the farm where Orika lived - at least, they were related to ox. They were water buffalo or something...Maya wasn't sure. She knew she'd had to tell Baki not to eat them, but otherwise hadn't bothered with them. Maya laced her fingers and leaned on Baki's mane, thinking hard about what the last seal meant. So far she had Esei and Charge, and now the last piece of the puzzle was... Maya's face brightened for a moment. Of course! The ox was one of her favorite seals, because of what it meant. "Yuki-sama, the seal of the ox represents damage!" she said, enthusiastic because damage, at least, was something she understood on a personal level, especially physical damage...especially causing it to enemy shinobi... Maya held back a small chuckle at the thought, and tugged Baki's ears gently, grinning at him and wondering what the next part of the training would be. Memorizing wasn't her strong suit at all, but she would have to study hard. The lions at the Tategami grounds needed to be safe, and this would help keep them that way.

Akiko had gotten about one chapter in before she noticed something. Someone had apparently been trying to get her attention for a while now. She must not have seen the girl when she entered, or else the girl came in afterward. Akiko blushed and looked up at Tenko. "Oh... I-I'm sorry. I tend to get so wrapped up in books. I'm afraid I missed your name. What was it, again?" She felt embarrassed for having to ask for a name after it had already been given to her not moments before, but she really couldn't hear it the way she had her nose buried in the book. As the thought this, a second thought crossed her mind. "...and you know my name? Did Aunt Yuki introduce us before...?" she blushed, her embarrassment growing for potentially forgetting this occurrence, as well. "I... I'm sorry. I get so lost in my studies someti--"
Her words were cut off as yet another presence appeared in the room. Aya burst into the room with her trademark, "Holaaaa~!" No matter how bad a mood Akiko was in, Aya never failed to brighten her mood. "Aya-san! It's been forever!" She beamed as Aya complimented her on her studies. Trying to remain modest, Akiko said nothing. Aya came to sit right next to her and begin making comments about the dummy model before her. She made an interesting comment toward the end regarding setting the bones. Akiko hadn't gotten to this point yet, so she hastily flipped forward to see if she could find the section in reference. She began reading about how she would have to take the leg and... straighten it. The book seemed to be going into far more detail than was necessary, and Akiko was getting a little sick. She gave a brief glance to Aya, silently mouthing, "Do you really...?". Her eyes asked the same question, though they did so with a little more emotional content. She turned back to the book and finished the chapter as best she could. Her mind now filled with gruesome images, she put the book to the side for a while. "Umm... time for a break." She looked around and found Tenko again. She stood up and went up to the woman again. "Eheh, I'm really sorry about that," she said, feeling even more horrible for ignoring her for so long. "Umm, so, it's good to meet you," she added, her words devolving into a nervous laughter.

Tenko’s head popped up from looking at her paper at the sound of Aya announcing herself in the room. A small smile and a wave was all she got from the timid woman. Akiko’s voice then tapped at Tenko’s consciousness and gathered up all the attention she had left from the papers she was writing up. “It’s no problem really. I tend to get that way too sometimes when I’m learning about medical things. I’m Tenko. I‘m one of the nurses here.” A sweet smile illuminated her face as the girl continued to ask questions. “Oh, no, I was just right there when you introduced yourself. I overheard is all. With Kumiko in the room it’s easy to understand how someone like me can be overlooked. She has that way about her.” Giggling a little, she quieted herself and returned to what it was she was doing as Aya took over Akiko for the moment.
