Celebor grinned right back at Donovan, then waved at Ulani and Ulrich. "Hello," he replied cheerfully. "It's good to see you again."
Hopefully this time he would be more coherent, he had been quite out of it on his last visit, unfortunately.

Haradhel laughed at Ulani and Ulrich. Even after living with them for nearly a decade, she still found them quite funny to listen to, to observe. She hadn't had much to look up to while she had been growing up, concerning her parents and how they made marriage look, but these two showed her exactly what she could still look forward to with Elrohir.
"And we don't always talk about you," she grinned at them. "You just have a knack of showing up the once every few weeks that we do."

Ulrich chuckled at Kara. "If you ask Adanedhel about his collection, he won't stop until he's bragged about all of them. He deserves every single one of them, don't get me wrong, but sometimes I wonder if we don't go a little overboard."
"Maybe if you waited until he learned several things," Aliya suggested, "and give him one big carving instead ..." She trailed off and raised one eyebrow. "Honestly, Ada, you're going to spoil him, if you haven't already."
Ulani smiled at Donovan. "Ah, yes. Fortunately, I brought the crystal with me, so that won't be a problem. How have things been for you?"
Elros was amazed. "He still has that book?" he asked, his normally expressionless eyes wide with surprise. "That's amazing ... any other book that old would have crumbled into dust by now, I'm certain ... though I suppose its maker would have given it magic to prevent that, considering how much magic he poured into it already."

Kara giggled at that, she could completely understand what Aliya meant if the stories were true about how much his collection took up.
"And how many carvings does he have? Or rather... how much room have they taken up?"
She couldn't help but wonder at times..

"Fine," Donovan replied, "Things have been going along as usual... though Elnara has adopted again as I had been telling Admir earlier. Another neko, he seems to be related to Kaito, so it's good the boys don't get separated."
He paused to think of anything else that might be of interest and he couldn't think of anything at the curent moment.
Lin nodded, "The big book that shows you things right? It's still there in the library. It's very, very big.. .though the first time I saw it was I was very small, but I think it would still be big to me. Who made the book?"

Aliya had to stop and think about that for a moment.
"Well ... his shelves were getting overcrowded, so Ada had to put more up," she admitted sheepishly, "and so all four of his walls are covered now ... and he's got a display case in the living room for his favourites, but it's also starting to overflow ... I think he's got a chestful packed away somewhere ... altogether, he's got to have more than two hundred of the things."
She shrugged. "He can probably tell you the exact number, as well as what they're all for - and I can't really tell him not to brag, he did earn them after all. Still."
Ulani smiled widely at Donovan. "Well, Serenity will be happy to hear the news," she beamed. "She's been asking about her lately, wondering if we've heard any news. Maybe she should go for another visit sometime. I know she would like that."
Elros's expression grew reverent, and he folded his hands together and replied solemnly, "Manwe."
Then he added, "Manwe is the greatest of the Valar, the one who called the elves up from the sea. He is like Aragost - he was the first Vala created, the others came after him, and thus he is the oldest and the most powerful. He taught the first elves how to use magic, and continues to watch over us, even from the distance that separates him from us now."

"That.... is a lot," Kara murmured, "One of these days you won't have room for any. It's a wonder you haven't run out of things to carve Ulrich."
She wondered what he had carved that he could come up with that many. Not to mention what they were going to do once he stopped getting them. Kara couldn't imagine that many... carvings.

"It would be good if she did," Donovan admitted, "I mean... Celebor grew on his last trip here, but we grabbed Serenity on the way out so she never got to saw him. Serenity is a teen now too, Storm, Starr and Idhril are the same size as Lin. She hasn't met Slivrendir yet and he's teen too, even though you can't tell because he's shorter than Kara..." he counted in his head, "And yea, then there is Kaito which I don't think she has met and Shiro, whom she also hasn't met.... I think that's it. Yea, that's it."
He normally never had to rethink stuff like that, but he was use to when it came to listing off the large numbers of the family.
"Oh...." she murmured thoughtfully, in a way that made sense.
She recalled hearing the name a few times but that was a long time ago, and she couldn't remember much at the moment.
"I really special book then," her eyes sparkled a bit remembering it, "It was fun seeing those things from the book."

"Who says I haven't?" Ulrich quipped. "I've even carved things I've never seen before, only heard in stories. I've carved repeats in different poses, I've invented things I've never heard of before. Honestly, the only reason I can keep carving for him is because he gives me detailed descriptions of what he wants."
"We're going to have to get him to slow down, somehow," Aliya said again, shaking her head slowly. "Even if we have to promise him something big just so that Ada doesn't have to spend all his time carving. Adan's getting up to two or three in a week now, and while I have to admit I'm proud of how quickly he's learning, it's also getting a little ridiculous."
Ulani smiled. "It has been a long time," she said again, spreading her hands as if saying it was out of their hands. "But she's been doing a lot better than she was before. Still, she would be happy."
Elros nodded. "Yes, I saw it once ... though at the time, it wasn't special, considering that was what our world was like. But now ... to see it again ... would be amazing. And if Sir Valdemar is able to succeed in his attempt to create his own book like that, then his magic is growing still stronger than it has ever been."

Kara coughed at that, she could believe it and was half tempted to ask Ulrich exactly what the man had carved that he had never seen before. That had to be interesting to say the least.
"Well.... perhaps suggesting something bigger for a group of things might do it.... what sort of things have you been carving?"

"That is good to hear," Donovan admitted, "Has she been visiting Gion a lot still?"
Since he knew she went there often, he didn't know where else she went besides there and the Borderlands though.
"It would be interesting to see," Lin admitted, "I think he's doing it so people wouldn't forget history so easily."
Though she couldn't see how they could, she thought having history passed down was a normal thing. After all she had to take history class at home, so it was normal.

Ulrich shrugged. "Plants, animals, things, places, people, legends, myths ... basically anything and everything. I try to make the carving match what he learned. Originally I had made them ... well, when he was learning languages, for every new word at first, then every new grammatical structure, then ... and when he was learning to read and write, one for each rune in each set of writing ... that's a lot of carvings, usually an item whose name began with the rune he had learned. Sometimes he would request something - he requested one of Feng and Ryu, a while ago, and of course some of his siblings, and of Aliya and Amdir ..."
Aliya smiled. "Amdir and I loved those ones so much we had Ada create duplicates for us to have in our bedroom as well," she told Kara warmly.
Ulani nodded. "I believe she spends about half of each year there ... the winter months. The rest of the time she travels, visits her sister-in-law, or us. She's not so fond of the winter weather, she was never raised with it, either in the Four Lands or in Feanaro."
"That ... is possible," Elros admitted. "He always did want to preserve history. On the other hand, I don't think that people would forget it, as long as he's around to teach and reteach it ..."
He paused.
"Unless ... he's thinking of leaving ..."

Kara giggled at that, "That's so cute! It kind of reminds me of a doll I had... which Lin wouldn't let go of shortly after she was born. I think she still has that one."
She couldn't help but giggle again the whole thing sounded way too cute.
"Though from the sounds of it, Adan could create is own little world with the variety of carvings he has."

"I... .can't blame her," Donovan admitted, "Though winter back home doesn't get any where near as much snow as it does here though. It's good to know though she's doing well, and how about you and everyone else? Another two years since the last time I was here."
Lin blinked, she couldn't imagine at all Sir Valdemar leaving, though the question was leaving where. She had a feeling it was a lot further than simply going to the Borderlands.
"Leaving where?"

"He could populate at least two," Aliya remarked dryly, leaning back a bit on the bench. "Honestly, he's got a carving of everyone on the ranch, plus everyone from your world that he's met, and between trees, flowers, and other plants he's got more than enough to create some pretty interesting habitations."
Ulani smiled, but it was faint. "Well ... we've been good. Adonai's been acting a bit strangely lately, I ... really don't know why, but I'm sure he'll get over it. It's probably just a phase. He's not exactly a teenager anymore, but ..."
She shrugged.
"Oh, and I don't know if anyone's told you yet ... we're going to have to hire another fighter or two, I think."
Elros's expression returned to its blank state, and his cool blue eyes stared out at the window.
"Leaving the Four Lands," he replied softly. "Has ... he made any mention ... of leaving? Of traveling? Of ... returning?"
