Xavier sat down as well and began to explain his being back. “I was really bored at home. I mean, there is very little work to do there. Plus my mother was keeping an eye on me, and my father was home from business. Being the only of their children around, I was ‘graced’ with their almost undivided attention.” He sighed, “That makes very little fun to be had.” Lowering his voice so that only Levi could hear he said, “Maddox wont be so happy about my return.” His eyes flicked over to his brother who was talking to Nori, a grin spread across his face, and continued, his words still only for Levi’s ears, “I did have time to come up with the most genius prank ever. I will tell you later.”

Maddox paid little attention to Levi and Xavier's conversation, noticing the small creature draped atop Nori's shoulder. His eyebrows raised in surprise, Maddox stated rather needlessly, "Nori, there is a kitten on your shoulder." He had managed to place the eggs back on top of the counter. He was about to continue pleasant conversation with Nori concerning the new pet when a shuffle of colors from the view through the kitchen doorway distracted him. Was that... eh?! Maddox focused once more on Nori briefly to say, "Please, excuse me." He gave a short bow before rushing out the door way, exclaiming once he was in the hall in his soft tone, "Felix?' He didn't understand, was it really her? And who was that... man next to her? Was it a man or another one of her inventions?

Felix stopped suddenly, as she recognized the familiar voice."Maddox?"she asked excitedly, turning around in surprise. Although Maddox wasn't as close to her as Ky or Xavier, Felix was just happy to see one of her cousins again."Long time, no see!"

Just as she was about to give Maddox a long, suffocating hug, Felix noticed that Eleck, completely absorbed in his music, had continued wandering down the wide hall. Refusing to let her boyfriend dodge the conversation, Felix reached her arm out, and seized hold of Eleck's ripped collar. With a gentle tug, she managed to wheel him back around to her side."So, how have you been?"she continued, smiling as if nothing was wrong.

Eleck sighed heavily. It was a foolish idea to think he could just wander off, and no one would miss him. He had completely miscalculated the actions of a persistent girlfriend. Escape, he realized, would be impossible at this point.

Shoving his hands in his pockets, Eleck felt around for his mp3 player. A new song had just come up that he had been meaning to delete for awhile now, but had never found the time to get around to it. The singer's voice was way too high-pitched and scratchy for his taste, and was currently giving him a slight headache.
"How annoying,"he said quietly, as he changed the song.

Maddox was still very apparently caught off guard by the recent appearance of his eccentric cousin, stumbling a bit over his words, "I-I've been good... Welcome home Felix?" He asked rather than said the last bit, unsure if he should welcome her home or if she was not intending to stay and was simply using their new base as a pit stop in her travels. But how did she find us in the first place? He then recalled the conversation that he and his brothers had this morning. Xavier had said that he and Felix had designed the security and so it was logical that if Xavier knew the building's location then Felix would as well. Well one thing was certain, Kyrin would be glad to have her home. Maddox feigned ease as he attempted a smile back at Felix, "Have you been well, Felix?"

His smile faltered slightly at Eleck's words. Maddox wasn't aware that he was being annoying to the man. Perhaps the other man didn't like people who interrupted him and Maddox had done just that by stopping the pair of them in the hall. Giving a small bow of his head, he apologized, "Please excuse me for interrupting." It only occurred to Maddox after he said this that the man that accompanied Felix had spoken in Japanese. But who was this man?

"I have no particular reason to see those floors if they have no real connection to your business." Molly said with a smile. Taking the opportunity to make small notes about the floors, Molly let the others continue their tour. I wonder if Mr. Matsui gave these two the job of escorting us because he considers us special guests, or because he doesnt trust us. While taking physical notes about the building's contents, Molly continued making mental notes about the other members of their merry band. Translation is definately going to be an issue if there are more people who dont speak english. We'll have to get them learning

"I've been spectacular!"Felix said with a large grin. Judging by Maddox's awkward reaction to Eleck, Felix could tell that he was probably the same quiet, jumpy cousin she's always known. And oh, so gullible...Felix thought to herself, mischievously calculating a new prank; considering it a sort of "welcome home" gift to herself. Since Maddox didn't even know of Eleck's existence until a few moments ago, Felix could tell the man practically anything she wanted, and he would believe her. Felix's dark eyes glittered at the endless possibilities.

"Oh, and you already know Eleck!"Felix said, patting her boyfriend on the back,"I'm sure father's told you all about his newest intelligence agent in his message!"

This wasn't a complete lie. Eleck is, apart of the Matsui intelligence agency. However, unlike her father Jiro, who was the head of the electronics team, Eleck's current position was actually many rungs lower. By mentioning that her father was announcing Eleck's presence, Felix was insinuating that her boyfriend was actually, a much more powerful member of the Matsui mafia than his disheveled appearance let on.

"You're actually taking this quite well..."Felix continued in a sly voice,"I would be freaking out if I knew Uncle Han was coming!"

Eleck stared blankly at Maddox. Due to the volume on his headphones, he could not hear a word that the tall man was saying. Rather than turn the audio dial lower, Eleck opted to pretend as if he knew what was going on, and followed Maddox's cue."Pleased to meet you,"he said quietly, returning the small bow.

Glancing over at Felix, Eleck noticed the familiar spark in his girlfriend's eyes. Realizing that something very interesting was about to happen, Eleck slipped his hand into his fraying pocket, and turned the volume down slightly. Perhaps this visit to Felix's family wouldn't be as horrible as he had thought after all.

Taking what Felix said with utter confusion on his part, Maddox gave a glance between her and Eleck once more. He didn't recall hearing about the man from his Uncle Jiro the last time they had contacted each other but that was a few days back. Perhaps he was someone who had recently joined?

Maddox, however, didn't have much time to consider any other possibilities on this matter. Eyes widening, Maddox repeated after Felix,
"Uncle Han is coming?" He gave a glance back towards the kitchen, to where Xavier remained. Typically, it was Xavier who told them of whenever their Uncle was going to visit so why had he... We didn't give him the chance! Maddox came to the realization with a start. As soon as they had seen each other, Jaydn had grilled Xavier on the newcomers and then immediately Maddox offered breakfast to his younger brother, speaking the entire way to the kitchen.

Coming to a conclusion all on his own, Maddox felt his heart begin to speed up slightly though he called to Xavier, hoping the teen would deny such a thing occurring,
"Eh... Xavier? We aren't expecting anyone, are we?"

In response to Levi, Xavier simply grimaced. Of course its been no fun though… He thought with a suppressed sigh. It didn’t seem to be in Jaydn’s genetic make up to be fun, the residual stick up his a** seemed to counter any thought of fun that should enter the older man’s mind. As Levi trailed off, Xavier turned to notice his bright haired fairy of a cousin. She was cunning and borderline evil, in the best way, and Xavier never tired of her company. And she’s brought Eleck! He thought happily. With a blank face, hiding away his absolute glee, Xavier watched the conversation ensue.

When he was addressed Xavier stood and began a slow walk over to the small group that was assembled. With an irritated sigh, he replied to Maddox’s obvious anxiety. He spoke in English for the benefit of his friend at the table to be in on Xay and Felix’s plan. ”Well… I was trying to tell you, but all Jay could think about was the want to punch my face in.” He set an annoyed look on his face, ”Honestly, you’d think he would lose the attitude with age, but apparently he’s growing to be an old man faster then anyone I know.” Finally he finished with, “And yes. Uncle Han is coming. He thought it would be nice to visit since all the Matsui kids would be in the same place for the first time in years.”

And with that final statement he turned and greeted his cousin, as if he wasn’t at all concerned about Uncle Han coming. It wasn’t something that Xavier would need to be concerned about because it wasn’t his mafia, so it didn’t matter to him one way or another.
”Glad you made it Felix. Long time no see.” He laughed. He had seen Felix on computer screens and the like for months upon months and seeing her in person was good. And to see Eleck again was something that made him happy. It had been a long time since he first met the man in person. Their friendship had grown over their times working on missions with each other, but it was always over and through electronics, and not face to face. Xavier did know about Eleck’s headphone addiction well enough, however, to know that more often then not, the other man wasn’t listening to his surroundings. Turning to Eleck he pulled the head phones from the other mans head, and with a grin said,”You don’t look like you're enjoying yourself, El.”

Jun thought Molly was justifying his first impression of her, Uptight, much too business minded for his tastes. So Jun returned his attention to Ky, "Unless there is something you want to show me?" He let go a small smile for Ky and returned to following the tour, hoping the other people would think he was just being polite. Jun found it hard to suppress the grin boiling on his face. She was very cute, he especially enjoyed when Ky slipped up on her Japanese. Maybe we can spend long nights helping each other learning our languages. He let his mind wander about what long nights with Ky would be like until they reached the next floor of their tour.

Miles heard Kyrin's request but didn't immediatly take action; His growing irritation gave him half a mind to ignore her. Usually he had an excellent smoker's etiquette, but the longer the "tour" became, the thinner his patience became. Miles took one last drag before opening his pewter cigarette case and extinguishing it, saying nothing.
He smiled a little at Molly's comment, considering he felt the same way. He wanted this to be over as fast as possible, and do something productive. He reached over Ky and pressed a floor number, choosing to skip a few and go straight to the most important floors. She would probably get tired of speaking english and japanese, so he decided to do most of the narrating, trying to move the group along.

Molly’s response didn’t shock Kyrin at all. Of course she would say that. There really was no need for Miles and Ky to show the two the lower floors. The business conducted there was almost entirely legal, but it was very important to have a front, in case any prying eyes came about the building. Kyrin was slightly skeptical, however, about Jun’s motives when he talked. Tsk, She thought, returning him a polite smile, If he wants to get in my pants, he is going to be sorely disappointed. She cast a look over to Miles as he extinguished his cigarette and moved back slightly as he hit the button to the lowest of the housing floors.

As they stepped out of the elevator, Kyrin translated Miles’ words as he talked about the floor and the purpose of the rooms. They also explained the use of the kitchens on every other housing floor. As Kyrin translated what Miles was saying, she began to grow bored. Jaydn better call soon, this is getting old. Suggesting to Miles that perhaps they go up to the training floor, Kyrin led the way back to the elevator and they made their way up. The training floor was a complex floor with numerous halls that didn’t seem uniform at all. If someone was to wander their way up here alone or without any prior knowledge, it would be easy to get lost. When they reached the floor, they walked a ways to a front desk where a man sat. When he saw Kyrin and Miles, a smile lit his face and he called a greeting to the pair, “Good morning Miss Kyrin,” He nodded to her, “And Miles.” The same to him.

Kyrin got a few cards from the man, in various colors and explained them in Japanese as Miles explained them in English.
”These cards open the various rooms in the training floor. Every color pertains to a different room.” She then went on to explain what the use of each was, as she heard Miles doing the same. Looking over at him at one point she wondered, He is probably as bored as I am. She suppressed a sigh as she continued her translation.

Eleck smiled in spite of himself. Although he felt very uncomfortable without a steady rhythm pulsing through his ears, it was a relief to finally see a familiar face."I wasn't, until you showed up,"he said simply, gingerly taking back his beloved headphones. Since Xavier was one of the few people Eleck actually enjoyed speaking to, he opted to leave the green headset hanging around his neck.

"Your cousin made me wear this stupid suit,"Eleck continued, picking at the fraying edges of his collar. Although it was his own fault that the suit didn't fit him properly, Eleck had decided to complain about the attire as long as Felix was within earshot to hear it. "I doubt your uncle will approve...,"

"Speaking of uncles...,"Felix said loudly to Maddox, drowning out the rest of her boyfriend's sentence."You better hurry up and tell Jaydn and Ky about the surprise guests. I'm sure you guys have a lot of preparations to do before Uncle Han shows up!"

Unable to hide her wicked smile for much longer, Felix turned to Xavier."It's been too long!"she said, giving him a huge hug. Only Xavier would go along with one of Felix's pranks, no questions asked. She could always count on him to be on the same level as her when it came to wreaking havoc.

Best cousin...EVER!she thought to herself happily, giving Xavier another tight squeeze.

Suddenly, Felix released Xavier with a dramatic gasp. Eyes wide with concern and possibly even fear, Felix grasped her cousin by the shoulders.
"I suppose this means, you didn't get a chance to tell them about the large dinner Uncle Han's expecting,"she said in a very loud stage whisper. This was truly, an Oscar winning performance.

Not waiting for a reply, Felix turned her head slowly in Maddox's direction, staring at him as if he were a man on death row.
"Oh dear,"she said in a pitying tone,"This doesn't bode very well for you at all, does it?"

Mouth slightly open as he listened to the younger man, Maddox’s eyes widened with the news. He’s coming? He’s coming! Today! Panic seemed to settle within Maddox’s eyes as he tried to consider what the best course of action at the moment was. There was no warning about the arrival and the building and men were in no way prepared to greet the notorious mafia leader. Why hadn’t Maddox seen this coming? Of course their uncle would want to visit them when all of the new generation were present in one place. It so rarely happened. Usually Felix was off with her intelligence group, Xavier was in Japan, or Jaydn… Jaydn! It hit the middle brother rather hard when he realized that Jaydn would have no idea that their uncle was coming. Jaydn was never one for surprises lest he was the one doing the surprising and, as it was, their day had not begun on a high note.

Coming back to reality to find that his younger brother was acquainting himself with Eleck and that Felix was speaking to him, Maddox attempted to catch what his cousin was saying to him. Catching something about a ‘large dinner’, he felt a urgent desire to run from the area and begin trying to avoid the oncoming disaster. How much time did he have? He couldn’t waste any more time standing her idly, Uncle Han could appear at any minute. Maddox gave a feeble smile to Felix when she unleashed a pitying look upon him,
”Excuse me. I must go prepare for Uncle Han’s visit as you said. I’m sorry, I know you’ve just returned but perhaps we can all catch up later at dinner.” The thought of preparing a feast made him feel fairly faint but he struggled to pull himself together. A slight bow of his head and Maddox turned to scurry down the hallway, towards the elevator. As he walked briskly, he pulled his phone out of his pocket. I have to call Jaydn before he begins to involve himself in something else.

A sigh was the only thing that accompanied the sound of the ticking second hand. A few papers sat in rows atop of his desk and Jaydn, his head tilted to lean slightly against the back of his propped up hand, skimmed the words of the reports one more time, reluctant to continue his day but knowing that there was no way for him to ask time to take a break. Attempting to think optimistically, he reasoned with himself. The sooner this day ends, the sooner I can get back to bed. Of course that brought about that flare of annoyance when he briefly recalled the reason he was desperate to return to sleep but it went just as quickly as it came, his resignation to an early beginning calming him. Shortly after his brothers had left him, Jaydn received Jun’ichi Kato’s report and, with having some reading to do, he locked himself in his office to review the newest members of their mafia.

He had read first Malika Al-kohen’s file, finding her intriguing. She was an accomplished woman to say the least, bright if not only highly studious by her educational records, and clearly aware of herself enough to know what it was she wanted and didn’t want in her life. Jaydn could appreciate these aspects of her. He was slightly concerned with how power hungry she appeared to be, being almost ruthless in some of the past legal cases that were included in her file so that she could achieve victory. He would have be careful around her, more so because of her apparent intelligence, but her aggressive style would become very useful should they ever land themselves in any sort of legal danger.

He then picked up Jun’ichi’s. A few things of the report were familiar to Jaydn. The pair of them had worked once before, Jun’ichi lending a hand to Jaydn as he secured his position as the Matsui heir. For that, Jaydn felt he owed something to the man and if the favor Jun’ichi wanted Jaydn to do for him was to accept him into this mafia, then fine. Jaydn could do that for the man. The language barrier would be difficult at first and, personally annoying to Jaydn, but eventually Jun’ichi would pick up enough English that he would be able to act as a fluid part of their organization. Jaydn’s only complaint at the time was that the man seemed laidback, much too laidback. But that could be fixed.

Deciding that whatever questions he had left could only be answered by the subjects of the inquiries, Jaydn placed the papers away in their appropriate folders before taking out his cell phone. He knew he probably shouldn’t have sent Miles and Kyrin as tour guides for the newcomers, seeing as how neither of the two would appreciate being given such a task, but he planned to make it up to them. He was simply feeling rather irritated at the time and taking away some of the reasons for his irritation had made him feel better. Kyrin would likely let him know very blatantly how she felt about the entire situation and Miles would keep silent. They were different but both very good at what he needed them to do. Hopefully the task had kept the four of them occupied for the time he needed to review the reports.

Dialing in Kyrin’s speed dial, Jaydn wasted no time in conveying his message to Kyrin. He would see Al-Kohen first. In the meantime, Jun’ichi could settle himself within his living quarters and Kyrin was to keep an eye out that he would go nowhere else or find someone else dependable enough to do it. If Kyrin wanted to take care of her own business for the day, Jaydn was satisfied with that, he would benefit from either decision.

After hanging up with Kyrin, Jaydn stood, making his way over to a coffee brewer he had in his office, unlocking his door as he went. Oh coffee, what would I do without you. He prepared a cup for himself as he waited for his interviewee to arrive.
