Gah! It's been a while since I've done any of this. I've been so busy with my school, but now I finally have some time to get back into energy and shielding. I believe I was on lesson five....
Results: Well, I've only done it a few times, but I'm happy with my results. I pictured myself surrounded by a blue shield and programmed it to attract positivity. Every time I've done it, my days have always been good, so I'm trying to get into the habit of starting my day off with a shield. :3 Now I can't wait to get started on the next lesson!

Alright, I'm glad to hear most of you are doing well, or are trying to work through your energy problems. Since most of you are behind, I've decided to put up a challenge! The Ultimate Energy Ball Challenge!!! This challenge won't be impossible for those of you who know how to make energy balls. It won't be much of a lesson, but I'll have a small prize for anyone who can get it to work. The Challenge: Make an energy ball with one hand, with your finger(s) going through the energy ball. In other words, make the ball go around your finger(s). To be elegable for the prize, you must tell me: --How many fingers did you use? --Which hand did you use? (Projective or receptive?) --What color was your ball? --What was your energy source? --How many tries did it take? --What uses could this have? Good luck to everyone! This challenge will last until next Friday. For those who still want help with their lessons, I'll be around! Happy Findings, and May You Blessed Be

So wait, I'm confused... Do I create a ball and push my finger(s) through it? Or do I construct one AROUND my finger(s)?

Oh wow.. it's been a while. Alright, be ready for my update, though it won't be very long.
I got my energy balls to stop melting really quick, [thanks for that], and was able to put up some fairly sturdy shields. Mostly they're really weak, but these feel like the have some significant substance. However I found I've been really tired all week. Needing naps nearly twice a day, and suffering from some persistent headaches. Does this mean I'm trying too hard? randomly tired? or simply doing my practices wrong. So as a result, sometimes I miss a few days and fall asleep on the floor during meditation... v_v
I'll try the challenge though, it sounds like fun.
Just to clarify, you're passing it around your fingers like some people do with their pencils? like.. weaving them around? [if you saw pirates of the caribbean, what he did with the coin?]

Yes, I would love it if you two would join, FF and TSW. I'll add your names to the list!
And Torak--I wouldn't recommend doing energy work when you're tired or sick. It puts too much strain on the body's already weakened defense system. Also, the problem could be your grounding. Are you grounding after each meditation and energy excercise? Can you feel when you're grounded?
And you're supposed to create the energy ball around your finger(s), not going through. Like if you've seen a ball on a stick, make it look like that. 3nodding

Can I have some advice for lesson one? I'm rubbing my hands together and pulling them apart a few inches and not felling anything.

So something really strange happened while I was trying to shield what's left of my herbs (some parsley and a tiny bit of cilantro, both of which seem to be doing well.) I used white, earth energy again like last time. But last time I created an orb inside the pot and made it expand similar to blowing a bubble. This time I made sure not to touch the pot or plants with the ball (I thought I would be overwhelming them with energy that way... I think that's what I did last time.) I created a half-circle with the energy and folded it over the plants like the hood on a baby stroller, but made it go all the way around and connect. Anyway, enough with my strange method of doing things...
Immediately after creating the bubble, my body felt really... odd. Like I was sitting in mush or jello or something. It's a really yucky feeling. XD I thought grounding and centering would make it go away, so that's what I did (my usual way with roots typically works for me). But it didn't go away until I got up and started moving around/became physically active. I'm fine now, but it was a bit of a shocker when it happened.
On a completely unrelated note... I have this tea rose candle that smells really nice... (Like I said, unrelated... XD) Anyway, I was staring at the flame for a bit, and actually managed to get it to move. I had it point in different directions, or to different objects around it. It was kinda cool, until I looked up and couldn't see anything but a giant yellow blob... XP I was also able to do the same thing with a cinnamon spice candle, but a weird lump formed on the end of the wick, so it wouldn't burn correctly after a while. I had to stop then because the flame leaned to one side...
And such is my life... I just ranted. XD
EDIT: So the cilantro died. Which was almost to be expected, but it's still sad. But the parsley is doing rather well! Also, I stopped playing with fire after I learned it made me really, really, REALLY tired. -.-

>_< grounding.. yeah... I'm making an honest effort on that, really I am! I do it after each of my sessions, but I get the distinct feeling I'm not doing it quite...right. stare I just don't think I know what "done" is supposed to feel like. *sigh* v_v I fail.

Ok, I think I'm ready to move on to the next lesson.
I've found that for some reason trying to visualize the energy as different colors usually screws me up. Maybe I just haven't tried actually using enough of them and I should experiment with them further but as far as red, blue, green, brown, and yellow go I find a lot of difficulty. The only exception would be when I don't think about using a specific color it seems to come out gold. Not that I can actually see it manifesting yet but when I imagine what it would look like its almost always golden.
I've abandoned the basement because its just too difficult to ground and center down there for whatever reasons, and I find it much easier to do it in my room though Its still harder than when I'm doing it with another person or outside.
On Beltaine me and my friend went out to celebrate on a nearby mountain and we both put our hands over each other and the energy was stronger than it had ever been and occurred naturally without the friction. Just thought I would throw some of that stuff out there.
Ok, so for the question part.
I raised energy into a specific part of my body and was able to manifest it outside of it after focusing it in my palms. When I try to mess with specific elements its harder for me to maintain the energy or doesn't make any difference at all and I usually seem to natural lean towards gold colored energy perhaps because I'm more in tune with sun and God energy. Its extremely important that I'm in an area where I can properly ground and center myself and get a few minutes of meditation and where my energies flow more easily, and being outside or with someone I have a strong connection to helps this.
I'd imagine this would probably be best applied to healing specific places on the body, or perhaps infusing an object with your on energy.
On to the next lesson!

Alright, ready for a little update from your student?
okay, I went online and found a bunch of new ways to ground, and I think I'm finally doing it right! I'm far more awake than I've been in days and I've been able to do more energy work.
Okay, i thought it'd be good to put my shields to actual use. There's a bit of a bug going around, so I wanted to see if I could make a shield to keep me healthy, and it's holding up so far. That counts as a success for me!
I've also been working on the most recent challenge. It was hard at first, because I couldn't get the energy to hold a small ball shape for very long, and it ended up just threading around my fingers. But after a few days of tough concentration, it began to keep its form, and a steady, even pace. :]
I think some of the hardest parts were getting it so small in the first place [I usually work with soft-ball sized ones] and keeping it there. Although finding a good place to practice is always a difficult thing for me. I have a house full of people all the time, and it's hard to get any quiet. And outside is so distractingly cold ><
--How many fingers did you use? I used 4 --Which hand did you use? (Projective or receptive?) ehm.. my left? --What color was your ball? I started with brown, but green ended up working best --What was your energy source? I used the earth. It seemed the best choice, as spring is everywhere, I figured it would be able to spare a bit of energy for me. --How many tries did it take? many, many tries. 4 days worth at least. --What uses could this have? I agree with Kyou, it could work very well for spot healing.

Alright, I appologize for being away all week, our computer went all crappy on us, so I'm sorry if I don't get all of your questions done in one sitting. sad
FinalFantasey--Don't worry about it, wait it out for a little bit (three days) and see what happens. If it still doesn't work, tell me again. It may just be that you won't be able to feel energy. In that case, we'll move on. You might also want to try rubbing them together for longer.
And Strawberry--Weird, about the jelly. Tell me if it happens again.
Torak--Just do it for a few minutes at first, and if you still feel weird when you try to do something, then you aren't grounded.
Kyou and Torak I'll get you later. Too tired sad
