Nicky was running through the darkend part of the cold city.
The dog still niping at her heals.
Then she came to an unlucky place, a dead end ally.
She faced the dog breathing hard, bushe felt like she was freezing.
She began to swing the bag of books but the dog did not back off.
The bag finally broke and the books fell out.
She gasped and began to pick out the books, which was a bad mistake.
The dog came up and chomped down on to her arm.
She lelt out a high pitch scream as she tried to fight the dog off, but only made him old down harder on to her.

"Hm? Haven't seen you around before." Douglas turned to face him, smiling politely. "In case you didn't know, they're the rules. Master says so. Don't drink everything, only enough to satiate your thirst." Douglas' smile was completely fake, and by using Master instead of saying 'I', it usually lulled people into a false sense of security.

"One more time, you say?" Douglas' smile became a bit forced, and his eyes squinted. When the girl walked into the alleyway, he simply thought it a coincidence. When she spoke in the same monotone voice of someone in a roll, Douglas began to question. "We simply drink to satiate our thirst. Useless killing is not right."

Nicky took a pipe and began to bash it upagenst the dogs head until it let go. The dog ran and she looked at her arm. Her arm was turn up and bleeding. She cried hard as she picked up her books and held them in her nonbleed arm. She started to walk and lick her wound. The smell of blood was really strong.

She started to sob as her arm would not stop bleed. She kept on licking it everynow and then swalling the blood. She could hear people talking. She looked to see three people. She headed for them to see if they would help her.

He laughed again and said "oh so noble are you oh great vampire lord Douglas." murakai smiled widely and undid the strap holding up his traveling cloak. it fell to the ground and he stood in the alley wearing a black suit. His left hand raised to his chin and He said "what lengths would you go to defend you city... and to return a child to her family?"

"I need not answer that question." An eerie hush fell over the alleyway, as if something unknown was there. "Get out of here, punk. I'll rip you to shreds." Douglas mentally prepared himself. He hadn't seen fangs flashed, or the girl bitten yet, so for all he knew the man could be human. It would make it all the easier to kill him, and get the child safely home. Though, hopefully the guy wouldn't have to die.

Nicky watched amost frozen stiff. Then seeing the fangs her mother side kicked in. She ran over but stopped once she saw the ravens. Once she got her head cleared she went to the child. She sat her books down and put her hands on the childs shoulders. She moved her a little bit as blood dripped from her open arm, She began to shiver. Nick took the child in to her arms and looked at Douglas with a frown and then Murakai.

Murakai cloesd his eyes and smiled saying "i have been looking forward to the future... but it's always cloudy. Except when you look into the past." he turned around and began to walk out of the alley saying "i meant only to extend a hand of frendship but it is aparent that you have no desire to allie yourself with me." He paused and said "how unfortunate it would be if the councel were to discover your rudeness.... i shuter to think what would happen." He then winked and said "for your sake i hope they do not discover your rudeness. Murakai was silently laughing to himself. If he was able to provoke Douglas into attacking him he would be given no trouble by the councel for killing him. Inside he was thinking everything over and all was going acording to plan, he just needed to provoke him a little more without making it abvious that he was trying to instagate a confrontation.
