"Great...now you're targeting the mage. Just great! I'm doomed!" Perrian exclaims and sighs. He lunges in at the monster with a stunning blow then goes into a defensive stance.

*Foam forms at the edges of Djanni's lips as she releases a second attack from her Shadow-Scythe. The edges of her shadow-shield crack beneath the strain of the creature's blow; they defended her before but can they withstand another attack?*
Dice: 1d12 for Defense SA: Shadow Scythe for True Golem Action: Defensive Hold (will use party AP (1 of 4 total) with Perrian's permission; otherwise disregard as not using) Regeneration: 5
AP: 0 (spending 1 AP & using 1 Party AP if permitted) MP: 2 HP: 30/30
((Perrian, I need your stated permission to use 1 of the 4 party AP to activate my Defensive Hold to resist the creature's SA attack))
((edited: I put that I was using 2 AP when I really only need 1 AP since I got 1 at the beginning of the round; so borrowing 1 of 4 if permitted))

((For the sake of keeping this going even here is my round though I’m still waiting on a reply from Fargore.))
Veet stands by unable to do much. She relied heavily on the creature actually attacking her so she could bash it with her shield. Without that she had no offensive abilities powerful enough to damage this creature. However it didn’t look like it would matter much. The creature was almost dead and she was confident her teammates could finish it off.

Yes Veet I total missed that, sorry. (This is what happens when I’m in a rush.) Veet took no damage last round.
Djanni's resists the SA completely, the shield bash is stopped by Perrian. Perrian rolls a 6 for his defense die and the monster rolls a 9 + 5 for 14 damage – the 6 = 8 total lasting damage to perrian (ha let’s see me mess that one up cool ). Tobar heals 5 damage from his bracer.
The monster takes much massive damage and falls. You win, congratulations.

(I'll stick with what you rolled! ^_^ Ignore my roll for defense, please! I'll take the 6 that you rolled!!!) (Just curious, when calculating damage, do you add the roll to the defense then subtract it from the damage or do you just subtract the dice roll from the damage? If you just subtract the dice roll, it is correct. If you add the defense to the dice roll, then it is wrong. Just was curious because no place really describes this.)(If its shield bash was stopped by me, doesn't that mean it was stunned and wouldn't deal any damage to me?)
Perrian a deep breath and sighed. "Well, I am one of the few mages that would live to tell the tale. Well, lets continue onwards. Veet, you lead the way, please." He said and stepped aside so Veet could get in front.

"Well that wasn't that bad. Let us go open the last door since we know this way just leads to the entrance." And without really waiting for anyone to reply she heads off in that direction making sure to carefully avoid stepping in any of the goo on the floor in the other room.

"True, that is a good idea Veet, but if we open the other door we'd have the risk of whatever is on the other side following us through whichever door we enter. I think we should just go one way first then, if we have time, try the other door later." Perrian called out to Veet. "Unless anyone else wants to open the other door, lets just stick to one door first. I think that might be best."

"The next door along this hallway leads to the outside. This creature was what we heard bang in response to when we knocked on it, from the other side. The only reason why I suggested we go this way was to investigate what was the source of that banging. Now that we have done just that, we should head down the other hallway which will actually lead deeper into the complex."

"True, good point. Well, we could examine that way and forget the other way, or we could split up again to explore both ways? If we split up I'd need a person who could hold off attacks well and could do physical attacks or any type of attack other than magical attacks just in case of another of those beasts. Anyone vote for splitting up or should we stick together?"
