Trulyalone Leo handed what was left of the bottle of Shadowbanish wine to Vishak. "Thank you brother," Vishak said as he sniffed the bottle then quickly finished the remainder of the wine.

"Hah, I may not be the best in social situations, but I can tell feelings by looking. You're angry..." He finished. He then turned to Leo, who actually seemed interested in his ancestory. "Well, my family orginally came from the Urshilaku Ashlanders camp, far up north of Vvardenfell. That's why I have these tattooes." He said, pulling back his long black hair which was covering half of his face, revealing black tattooes covering half of his face. He was sure Leo would've seen them before, but not had the chance to see properly. His hair had a habit of covering a whole half of his face. "We were banished from the camp after my father would not let the Ashkhan, the leader of the tribe, have his way with my mother, who had just recently given birth to me." He paused for a moment, straining to remember the details. "My father was a strong fighter, the best hunter of the tribe. He was not about to have his wife defiled by a man who had no respect for women and thought he could do as he please. My father challenged the Ashkhan to a duel, to which the Ashkhan accepted." The story brought back memories. Sydney always asked his mother to tell him the story about Dad and the evil Ashkhan before he went to bed. He smiled to himself and continued. "It was a huge event in the camp; The Ashkhan vs he greatest hunter of the Urshilaku tribe. Many came to watch. Which in a way was sick, but I guess that's the tradition of the Ashlanders... Anyway, the fight ensued. According to my Mother, it was a fight to end all fights, either man equally determined. My father seemed to have the battle won, he knocked the Ashkhan into the crowd which had amassed, and went for the final blow. Unfortunately, My mother was standing, holding me, beside where the Ashkhan stumbled. He took me from my Mother and threatened to kill me if my family didn't leave the camp. My Father's decision was simple for him. We packed our few belongings and left." Sydney finished, well, not quite. "We traversed almost the whole of Vvardenfell before we finally found where our new home was to be. Balmora. We were taken in by an old, widowed Imperial, by the name of Sydney. We lived there for many months when suddenly, the old man died. The Temple sorted out his will and my parents were astounded to find that he had left his home to us. And that's where I grew up." Sydney decided that he'd talked for long enough, he didn't want to bore Leo.' "I hadn't been named by this time, and my family thought it right to call me Sydney. The didn't stick with their Ashlander name as they hated the Ashlanders and decided to give me an Imperial name. Hence me now being named Sydney Vacious." He finished finally.
(Well, you asked for it! XD)

(oh i liked it *clappies* )
Shaon listenend with interest, her anger quickly forgotten. "And are they still alive? This group? I can't believe he'd go so low as threatening a child...then again, i wouldn't put it past some men..." she sighed, rolling her fingers in and out of a clenched fist. "what a strange world we live in..."

(Thank you, it took me a while! lol) "Oh yes, the Urshilaku have been around for a very long time. Since before the beginning of recorded Imperial history. I would say that the Ashkhan would still be around, wouldn't surprise me. Not many had the courage to face him then, let alone before he threatened to kill a child." He stopped there, not wanting to give any addition information which the others could find boring. "Ask anything else you want, I'm not ashamed of my parents."

Shaon frowned, a knuckle cracking as she clenched it. "do you remember what it was like before the Ashkhan turned you away? What's t like living with dark elves, the same as the imperials...? or different?"

"Dunmer don't really die of natural causes Shaon. They can live to be a thousand years old before dying of old age. I've never inquired, but Sydney here is probably older than the two of us combined." He turned to Sydney. "That is truly a fascinating story. I know some of the dark elf tribes can seem barbaric, and that includes the ashlanders. Yet, I can't help but be a little surprised to learn that you and your kin adopted Imperial influence. Then again, I suppose at one point the Dunmer were truly loyal and supportive of Tiber Septim." He said, a bit awkwardly.

"Well... Believe it or not, I'm 212... So yes Leo, we do live for a long time. I've heard the same of Altmer, but I may be wrong. But if I was to compare that to your age time, I'll be 22 this year." (Hey, is that age thing actually true? I never knew that! XD) "Sorry Shaon, I don't remember anything. Only what my mother told me through her stories."

shaon gaped. "212...." she blinked, shaking her head to clear her thoughts. "no problem, just wanted to know." she grinned, leaning back. her own life had not been so fun, giving her a natural craving to find more about how her brethren had lived. And of course, she couldn't read to find out anything about them. her skills were rather limited.

((Yeah It's really true. When they transformed from Chimer into Dunmer, they were blessed by some goddess I think. Check out www.uesp.net if you don't believe me. Its like the wikipedia for the Elder Scrolls games.))
"Of course Shaon, you must realize that as a general rule, Dark Elves don't lead very mundane lives. Most of them die of unnatural causes." Leo said.

"Yes, most Ashlanders don't live past 50, they get killed in a hunt or something of the like. I've been quite lucky." Sydney wondered what might of become of him if his family has stayed with the Urshilaku... Phh, what was there to wonder about? Sleeping in yurts, waiting to be killed by some kagouti out in the marsh. He was far better off where he was... wasn't he? "Well, anything else you'd like to know Shaon? You seem quite interested in my past for some reason." He finished with a laugh.

"Well, why wouldn't i be?" she grinned, looking only slightly puzzled. "i didn't know these kinds of things. it's very interesting." she folded her hands in her lap. "but this next one is aimed at you and Leo...do dark elves and wood elves ever talk and meet? i doubt either meet with imperials a lot, i just wanted to know if wood elves and dark elves were alike or met."

"Not as far as I know, they lived in completely different provinces, not even being neighbors." Sydney thought momentarily. "Though I could be wrong, our historian here would know. Dunmer and Bosmer were never really involved with each other I believe, either negatively or positively. But then again, Ashland Dunmer seem to hate all foreigners in their land."

"oh." shaon had guessed that, but it seemed interesting to her. she was just glad her brothers weren't to keen on her life, that or they already knew what they needed to know from her little outbreak.
