"If your refering to the time you stole some of my trade partners, then yeah I might hold a judge." Rannek commented with a sneer.
"Then again you may want to remember the time I actaully stole your cargo and got double the price on it. So the real the question is this; who's a better trader? A man who steals a cheap client or a man who doubles his profits while hurting his competitor's rep?" Rannek's sneer turned into a smirk.
His boots smacked up on the table in triumph, making the small wooden structure shake harshly. One gloved hand move to the back of Rannek's head holding it up as he leaned further back in his seat, the other rested lightly on his abdomin, still very near to the handgun strapped to his side. What Darrin was telling him didn't make enough sense, cirousity didn't drive someone to fly throguh a fire-fight to track down a former competitor. To top it off Darrin seemed to like playing games and Rannek....well he just hated the man.
"What the hell are you doing here Darrin?" Rannek asked, frustrated that he had to beat around the bush with this guy.

Gabriel burst through the column of haze that kept Olympia airborne. Little rivulets poured off him and his bike as he accelerated toward lower earth. There were flaming craters dotting the ground and as Gabriel passed over the tree line he could see their emblems. Mercenaries? Almost all the ships were merc ships. The few legitimate Fleet ships were spread few and far between.
Most of the ships were beyond repair and Gabriel longed to land and see if he could scavenge any parts. But his cargo was practically full with all his tools. Something Gabriel couldn't resist came into view: a battleship sized air-orb. It was on the broken off piece of what seemed to be a Valhallan battleship. Gabriel slowed his bike down and inspected the orb. He touched it with his hand and focused his magik.
The orb was only superficially damaged and could probably power a small ship to supersonic velocities. "Stupid explosion hungry Valhallans" Gabriel said with a smile "All they want is bigger guns and completely forget about speed"
Gabriel hopped onto his heavily modified bike and hovered above the orb. He entered a combination on the display and two panels opened on the bottom of his bike. The was a muffled bang as the grapples shot toward the orb. A ding chimed signifying a secure connection and Gabriel pulled into the sky. The engines of the bike roared as it pulled up the Orb.
The engine of Gabriel's small bike continued its roar as Gabriel steered it just over the treetops. A downed airship came into view. It wasn't a standard design so it must be a merc or at least a trade ship. When the downed ship came into view Gabriel smiled. The White Hawk. The damaged White Hawk. Gabriel had made a custom part for the ship when the incompetent shipyard mechanics couldn't.
Even though the captain was rejected by the traders Gabriel had heard that he still kept to his ideals. Gabriel hoped that the captain need a mechanic and for payment Gabriel wanted him to haul the Valhallan air orb to Gabriel's shop. He landed his bike near the fallen airship and strapped his pistol and his sword to his hip. Grabbing the radio headset Gabriel radioed the White Hawk. "White Hawk" he said over the radio "This is the mechanic Gabriel Seraph offering his assistance in repairing your ship"

Karawan was growing extra vine and magiking various mechanisms on the dock to lift the Airbike up. It was nice, to be of some use finally. Once the Airbike was on the dock, Karawan had trees pull themselves from the root and position themselves in such a manner that they would elevate the airbike to Arilam's height, but when they were through, Karawan could magik them back into the bush.
Arilam spoke, saying something about being vigilante. After Karawan magiked some pitch into a lubricant for Airlam's repairs, he let go of the vines and the pulleys, and walked back over to Arilam.
"He doesn't look so bad. But just incase, do you have that Nihopalaoa? Because I sensed some Maidander and Progilli. Which, if I can ask that girl from the town if there's been a Kaliako harvest soon...well, you know what that means right?"
Karawan ran from Arilam over to Rannek to see if he wanted help getting his White Hawk onto the dock he made.

Arilam smirked. 'This boy just can't understand the meaning of subtlety. If there was any doubt in my mind about whether he was lying or not, it's gone now.'
Arilam knew the mixture that Rhin spoke of. He had used the resulting potion on a mission several years back. The potion was indeed a powerful substance. He walked over to the flower, now sitting in a pot Arilam had created from a rock. 'Such a wonderful, dangerous plant this is,' he thought, gazing at it. 'What great things the haze has given to the world.'
Arilam stood up and stretched, and reached for his belt. "Oh, crap, I left the med pack in the bay." He walked up the beach and climbed into the White Hawk, taking a moment to observe the converstion between Rannek and the other merc. Things didn't appear to be going well. He hoped Rhin was ready. One never knew what merc had up their sleeves until it was too late.
Entering the ship, Arilam turned in surprise as a burst of static came in over the intercom, revealing a voice offering assistence. "Seems there's no end to the mercenaries in the area. What is it about the White Hawk that creates so much chaos amongst the mercs?"
Walking over to the intercom, Arilam raised the mic and responded, "This is the White Hawk. Repeat what you were saying?"

Pandora chuckled. She remembered now why she liked Joshuwan. He had that direct and blunt sense of foresight. Always thinking ahead, rather than dwelling on the past. Pandora remembered the paintings and photos coating the walls of her rooms. She had always kept those there to remind her of her mistakes and to compel her to always plan ahead.
"Never one to bask in praise, were you General?" Pandora asked with a chuckle. "I'm glad there are others in the fleet that don't desire to overburden our soldiers with the weight of unnecessary morale-boosters."
"As for you thoughts," Pandora said, watching the fearful face of the General awaiting revoke, "It would seem that you and I have reached the same conclusion on the matter. I too believe that this was a lead-in for Heimdall's main attack." Pandora grinned as the image of the crew behind Joshuwan began to shift nervously.
Pandora began to pace once again across the deck, the cameras following her motions actively. "As for the princess, by acting this way, I believe she may have just become a greater threat to us than the King himself. Acts such as these are not like someone who simply wants to disappear. No, this is a play that she is putting on for us all, and I fear that her final act is to dethrone old Heimdall and take over the throne."
Pandora turned back to the screen, wishing to test the general. "Tell me, Joshuwan. With this thought in mind, what conclusions can you make as to what this implies?"

((Part One of Two))
Karawan toward The White Hawk, but took a small forray through the forest before getting there. He thought, might as well begin the emulsion, seeing as it takes a few hours, and then double back for...what was her name? Maybe I'll find some rogue Kaliako in the woods.
After walking in about a thousand feet, he found the Maidander. He magiked the large tree out of the ground and used some vines to hoist it into the air. Getting underneath it, he stuck his hand into the bottom of the tree.
"Come on baby, give it up. You'll old enough to survive without it."
After a few moments of proding, his arm slipping around in the pitch of the belly of the tree, he pulled out the precious material, the dicotelydon embryo of the maidander plant. Letting the tree take root back in the ground, Karawan placed the engorged seed into his pocket, it bulging out his side. Following the old addage, Karawan walked south.
"Where Maidander Stands, her lover Progili can't be far behind."
"Who said that!" Karawan flipped around, hearing the voice. It was...no...it couldn't be. He immediately got on one knee, and spoke.
"Lord Holiness."
The High Mage of Duat stood before Karawan, with Master Ketmet.

Beate walked with Andora through the halls and to the docking bay. She was now dressed from head to toe in ceremonial mourning robes, three great, black feathers in her hair, her face and hands whited out with ivory make-up. Her red hair was tied back into a tight bun, and it was caked over with ivory make up. She was the personification of death, in the manner that befitted a member of the royalty in mourning.
She reached Hanger, where ten or so men were waiting to board her new light airship, which she had christened the Floßhilde. Big name for a small ship. Another group of men were loading the Reba, which had docked back with the Michael earlier, into the belly of the Floßhilde. She boarded it at once, the men filing in behind her.
Making her way to the small throne room near the bridge of the Ship, she sat down, gesturing to Andora for her to turn on the visual interface system.
"Lieftenant Schuster?"
"Your Majesty."
"Inform his Lordship I am boarding the HMLAV Andrew, rechristened Floßhilde, en Route to High Airspace, at the Coordinates his Lordship and I discussed, to talk with the person I discussed."
"Yes Your Majesty."
"And Lieftenant?"
"Yes Your Majesty?"
"Please make sure his Lordship recieves the favor I have given him." Beate refered to a small gold and lace armlet she'd given someone to give to Thorik.
"Yes Your Majesty."
Beate clicked the screen off and looked to Andora. "Now, let's go see if cousin Panny wants to talk with dear old dead Beate?"

Gabriel smiled as a voice came through the radio. "I'm one of the best mechanics in Olympus and I'm offering my expertise inrepairing your ship" He replied over the radio "All the payment I require is to take me and my cargo back to Olympus once the war is over" Gabriel looked at the White Hawk. It was a beautiful ship. "If your near a window look out I'll be the one waving near the bike" Gabriel raised his hand ans waved toward the airship. "If you still doubt my qualifications, my initials will be engraved into one of you engine parts"
He hoped they would look out the window, because if the person on the radio knew anything about bikes he would see the custom workmanship gone into Gabriel's bike. Besides who else could make a bike carry the air-orb from a battleship.

Zarina looked out at the slowly rising sun. She hadn't noticed, but she stopped dancing. Instead, she was sitting on the coast, watching the waves pull in and out. she occasionally heard what the strangers were talking about, but since she was from lower earth, she could hardly understand half of it, most involving places higher up towards the kingdoms, like Olympus, and Valhalla. She just shook her head and laid back in the sand.

"That was a wonderful move on your part. I mean, sneaking onto Pluto's Revenge under the nose of every single one of my crew people and taking that piece of cargo. Masterfully done," Darrin said with a smile. "And you got double for it. I always envied you for that one. You are a very charismatic salesman. What did you steal again? I cannot for the life of me remember what it was. Oh well. Thats behind us," he said as he stood up and turned around, looking at the furnishings of the room. "As for what I'm doing here. I was approached by a group from the Olympian government. They told me that you were currently on a job for them, and they asked me to watch you. And since I didn't see any reason why that would interefere with any of my trade routes or clients, I decided to accept. Plus I needed an escape from the constant monotony of trading between three, I'm sorry, four kingdoms almost at war. And you were never boring." He turned back around to face Rannek. "There you go. That is why I'm here. No need to worry about me trying to do anything that would endanger your life or your ship. So what do you say?" He offered his hand to Rannek in a friendly handshake. "Will you let me tag along, or do i have to follow you. Please don't make me follow you. That wouldn't be good for either of us, what with the Olympians breathing down our necks and all."

Arilam sighed and glanced out the window, catching sight of the bike. Much as he didn't like the man's superior attitude, he had to admit, the bike was very well-modified. Arilam could tell that a great deal of work had gone into improving the bike. It was too far away to get see the extent of the work, but Arilam didn't need anymore proof.
However, it seemed to him that an abundance of people out there knew of the White Hawk and its captain, and several of them had already proven to have not-so-kind relations with them. Arilam figured that with the merc outside, there were enough problems without having to deal with more. He'd let Rannek decide upon further action. It was his ship after all.
"Listen, I'll talk to the captian about this. I'm not sure if he really wants anymore people aboard. Fly down here and you can discuss it with him. Whatever he says will go, you know?"
((Also, we now have an OOC thread. Post your notes there, please.))

Gabriel sat on his bike "I understand" he replied over the radio after which he closed the connection. The bike roar to life again as it strained under it's load. Gabriel kept low to the ground to keep the bike from having to strain any more. He slowly made his way over to the White Hawk and landed softly before cutting the engines and hopping off the bike. He walked over to his scavenged air-orb and placed his hand on it. His magik told his it was still undamaged. He smiled as he went over the designs of his airship in his head. The only part he couldn't find was an air-orb and now he had one and he itched to build a ship around it.
His mind returned to the fact at hand; he needed somewhere to stay until the war was over and repairing an airship would be perfect. Gabriel pulled a small tool belt out of his cargo add-on of his bike and strapped it on. He sat against his bike and took a swig of water as he waited for an escort. He assumed the captain wouldn't want a merc mechanic rooting around the ship without an escort. So Gabriel awaited someone to take him to the captain.
