((Hey, FP, we're like, 10000 years in the future. they don't drive cars. Plus, think of fighters wihtout droids. How do you think they manage half the stunts? A-wing pilots are not known throughout the galaxy for letting the droid do all the work.

And CW, due to the split fighters, it depends. A-wings would cluster together, and X-wings, if numerous enough, would form either one or two groups.))


This is unique.

Those words echoed throughout Orrin's mind. "New ship, new outfit." He mused. Apparantly a new suit had been needing testing, as he looked at his green outfit.

"So this is what differs us from an X-er." he muttered, climbing into his craft. The controls were different, as with all new craft, but he figured he would be able to pick up the new locations with ease. "Let's start her up..."

The twin Event Horizon engines made a loud hiss, before the sound of a hyper turbine was heard starting up the main gears. The whining suddenly stopped, tuning down to a lower pitch, signalling the beginning startup sequence.

"Let us get this straight. X-wings, take on the TIEs in whatever way you can. A-wings, you're on my wings and we're going to strafe their a**. Don't be stingy with the attack. We need to have the guns track us and blind them to the rest of the squadron. Also, None of us have had any realtime flightime experience in one of these babies, so watch your six. The A-wing is built for speed, not for defense. I'm not saving your butts if you pick up a TIE. You can outrun those eyeballs, and I expect you to."

((There are no droids on an A-wing. Just Nav Computer.))

"Cut the chatter Em12. That was my spot. Trust me, being the lone wolf means first dibs on targets of opportunity, unless otherwise dictated by mission profile. Just keep the throttle on full, guns blazing, and that stick at any position but neutral, and you shoudl be fine."

"Huh boy," Gendis muttered. "Hey old man, hope you don't mind if I fear for my life now that you head our pack. Nothing personal of course, I just prefer to stay alive. Most of the time."

"Yes sir." He was right, it did mean he got the opertunity kills. Brought him that much closer to the title of ace, not that that mattered much to him. The preflight check was done. "Em12, ready." Still missing a pilot, gave him time to read up on the specs of the new ship.

Owen rushed into the hangar bay, sweating like mad. He'd been held up after the briefing by Captain Antilles, and as such had ended up late for the preflight check. Leaping into his cockpit, he turned his X-wing on, and as his R2 droid began the setup process, he said into his commlink
"Sorry I'm late guys. What's our mission exactly? I missed that part of the briefing."

"Doesn't sound too hard." Owen said, grinning as his 'all systems go' light flashed on. "I'm ready to go, whenever you guys are." he said, preparing to lift off and fulfill the mission.

Azure finished powering up her X-wing and commed Owen. "It's our job to destroy the TIES acording to Orrin." she said. Sapphire beeped a few times signaling that they were ready. "Em three ready when you are leader."

Gendis' A-Wing shot out of the hangar, its engines roaring as it passed Zendia's X-Wing with ease. "Wow... I'm actually impressed."
