(-1 to defense))
It would work as her blood went cold with that move ...she would stop just a few inches from the ground. Her eyes locked on the pokemon as she realized something that chilled her...she figured they were unworthy of her friend, but what if it was worst than that? What if they were murderers whom would make her do dark things, or what if this trainer would torture her friend?
She looked pale for a moment as she decided to redouble her effort in freeing her friend as she should choose to counter-attack then. Her tail flicking in the air as she would turn and go after her opponent with another pound.
Pretty much counter-attack.

(-1 to attack rolls to Leader, and - 1to defense rolls female Joltik)
The attack would hit, but it would find itself completely ineffective against the leader's resistances as he vanishes again. One more ...another Spinarak would appear, but this one was more afraid than the last. A child, it wouldn't stay long as the pokemon lands upon the field and then scurry underneath a rock ...as the leader came back out again.
It was still three on two at that point, as the leader would stand his ground and ready himself for another attack, while the female would target the Lantern once more with her Cross Poison. While the Male Spinarak found himself once more being used as a shield. This time by the leader as he moves behind him and waits the next attack.

‘Oh gosh, what is going on now?’ Out of no where, the wind appeared. Hair flying all over the place, Celeste could hardly remain in place. Once the wind died down, a pokemon appeared… This one seemed meaner than the last.
“What is it with you pokemon and blocking the way…”
All she wanted was go get through this cave and succeed in her mission… But that wouldn’t happen if all of these pokemon insister on blocking her path. If she had to fight them all, so be it.
Mazu, already out of her pokeball, knew what would come next. She stood ready to defend herself.

The Absol declares back to her. Though the girl would only hear ....Absol ..sol...Absol, and then it would appear. The pokemon she would be dealing with as she ran towards the squirtle and prepared to literally start the battle off with a megahorn to the pokemon's shell.
She was going to throw the pokemon up and into the air if the Squirtle wasn't careful.

Carmine was no idiot, however. In fact, she'd use the Mew's out strength against her! The Scraggy swept his foot forwards in another Low Kick, though he wasn't aiming for her at all...in fact, he was aiming for the spot she would land on.
The force of her own Pound would do her in, she'd come down so hard on his foot it'd deal a good bit of damage.

Although the Absol had technically more speed than Mazu, she had managed to avoid this attack. She wasn't sure she would be so lucky next time. Her opponent was stronger and quicker than she was.
Celeste sighed. She didn't have time for this. There was still a lot of exploring to be done. She took one of her pokeballs out, and tossed it. She didn't, but crossed her fingers and hoped luck would be on her side. Besides, she could make a good addition to her team. ((Isn't the Leader poisoned now? >_>))
"Burnout, you need to defend yourself behind Lindbergh again!" Jasmine called out, as she could see te female was moving for one last hit, one last strike before the poison took her!
The Gliscor grimaced, she knew it was necessary... but still...
Burnout was nearly alight, the Lampent's flame was thrashing back and forth inside the glass like noone would believe, it had been a long time since a battle had aggravated him this much. He missed his old body... and now he had to pay for that... hiding behind an ally?
He'd turn in mid-air and vanish again, leaving himself to let the female Spinarak lose sight of him...
And Lindbergh would feel the heat behind her, as the Lampent now would be behind her... whatever happened... that attack had to get past her first.
But what else could they do but wait and try and find a place to move?

((Okay, before I posted, I want to get the health thing right. Yes, the leader is poisoned ....and this should be what we are looking at with Lindbergh and the female Joltik.
Lindbergh hp: 11 (Due to poison) Female Joltik: 1 (Due to poison, this is her last turn) Leader Joltik; Full health + poison (-1 to attack rolls, + 1 to defensive rolls) Burnout: Full health (+1 defensive rolls))
It was with a light grunt that she fell then. The female Joltik that had been at this side the entire battle would finally succumb to poison ...as she slumps down. It had been a long battle for her, but she had given him everything he needed to insure that he managed to capture his queen as he looks over at the Spinarak.
He already knew what was about to happen next, his days of being passive was now officially over.
And there was sadness there as he watches her drift into unconsciousness as he would move to take her off of the field. Just like the male before, she would be moved to safety even as the pokemon stood on the defensive and the Joltik would aim his attack differently.
That Volt switch as he pointed it at the lampent once more. Though, since the battle had started it had been desperation that had kept that Gliscor getting in front of his attacks. Since, it wouldn't be able to hit with her in the way ...he had to shift his own tactics. He had to make sure that his time when he aimed she would be unable to cover him in time ...that his guard will fail, because hers would fail him him ....as he scamper up the wall.
Changing his angle completely as he would aim the Volt Switch at them both. Though it would spin the air as it's direction would actually change .....as attached to it ...was the device that made that possible.
A String shot.
This time the Joltik was guiding this one towards his target.

The pokeball would bounce off of her head as the Absol was in shock. She had just attacked and as she turned back around had found the red ball spinning in her face. Hitting right between her eyes ...it had bounce even further away spinning before it lands on the ground.
The Absol had been absorbed during that moment ...as the pokeball rocks once, twice, and one final hard time as it rolls all the way over.
This match was over before it really had begun.
Celeste has captured a Absol.

(15 - 8 + 12 - 16 = 3dmg}
Though the attack would hit ...it still couldn't find any real force. Afterall, low kick was a move that required the earth itself to aid in the damage as the Mew was knocked higher into the sky spinning. She hadn't had her legs swept out from underneath her because ...she never had her legs underneath her to begin with. As she simply spun in the air as her body was forced off the earth instead of into it.
Floating in the air ...her tail would flap from side to side ....as she glares at her opponent.
Then she would turn in the air and start to literally thrash her arms around in what amounted to a temper tantrum. She was throwing a fit ....as she would finally come racing towards him again ...her eyes set on once more using pound, but instead of using her entire body ....a circle bubble would form around her.
She was going to use her powers to help ram him into the ground.

“What?”
Celeste hadn’t expected to capture the pokemon. Well, she hoped that she would, in a way, since she did throw the pokeball in the first place, but now the Absol would probably so angry with her. Would she cooperate? Could she forgive her? Well, there was only one way to find out. She called the Absol back out and feared the worst.

Though if she was expecting a anger pokemon she wouldn't get it. The Absol afterall was serious, she didn't waste a lot of time on things she couldn't change and spent even less raging about for no good reason. It wouldn't change her situation as she looks at Celeste.
From Mistress of this place to simply ...pet.
It was a change as she looks ahead down the path and starts to walk. Of course she wouldn't want to hang around here too long either, since, the human was walking that way ...she might as well continue on that path.
Sensible ...serious...that was her new Absol.

((In work, so short post is short <<))
There was a difference between the Joltik hitting and the Leader hitting, they were trying to prevent the poison, it was quickly becoming a war of attrition here... And now, with the leader's attack and their attacks in unison, it was a stand off!
Both sides would be all attack the other without folley!
And indeed, they'd look up in surprise as he'd attack, then shift-
"It's String Shot!" Jasmine called out quickly to them both!
A glance confirmed it, that the lone Spinarak was fighting there, driven in likely by the leader's threats...
Heatwave would hit him too... But maybe, maybe it was worth not using it, after all, Jasmine thumbed that ball, she didn't want to kill the leader....
"Astonish!"
Suddenly, the joltik's target would explode! Flames billowed out of the lmap that would even has Lindbergh recoiling, cracking the air and filling the room with hideous howls and cries as a face began to appear in the flames, what face other than burnout himself, fiery fangs shown in the Astonishing move!
And Lindbergh too moved, as Burnout would create a more than large enough distasction, it was her turn to be the offensive of the pair, as she seung her tail up, her Poison Stings looking to sever the leader's line and hit him in mid air too!
((1, Burnout, 2, Lindbegh))
((EDIT: Guys. You are awesome teamwork. <3))
