((@ Lady Mist))

Rhia woke early again, but this time the light that greeted her was predawn. Her arms ached from the activity of the day before, and she wished she had taken a shower before she went to sleep, as she hadn't even checked herself for bumps and bruises, too occupied . Besides, her bedroll probably had dirt in it now (not that it hadn't suffered through worse treatment before). She just laid there, staring at the sky for long moments as her ears picked up the faintest sounds of one or two people moving about the camp.

She turned her head, still trying to push herself out of the web of fogginess in her mind, and saw one familiar trainer moving around the fire pit. Rhia just watched her silently for a moment before pushing herself up and climbing out of her sleeping bag. If almost no one else was awake, this was the perfect time to get that bath done, her Pokemon scrubbed, and use the "facilities," as it were, before she went to keep the other girl company.

Retrieving her Pokeballs, two towels, and other bathing items, she pulled on her shoes and then headed for the stream. It was a bit small, but she would have to make do with a quick scrubbing and take a better shower when she reached Motterossa. She was going to offer Oyumi the same courtesy; the girl was probably as dirty as Rhia was and would like a good scrub. Then maybe they could find Kurai and the three could head out to see the Eevee.

With a mind to repaying her companions, Rhia let Aimee out first, the sleepy Buneary looking around and then crawling over to Rhia's waiting arms. It was a sign of her weariness from the day before that she didn't bounce with shy, nervous energy like usual.

"I know, I know, c'mere. Let's get you cleaned so you can actually enjoy your sleep," Rhia murmured, and proceeded to gently, but thoroughly, scrub Aimee clean with Pokemon soap when the Buneary was done she shook all over, her coat damp but fairly clean.

"When we get to Motterossa, I'll drop you two off to get a real cleaning while I take my shower. Go ahead and go back to sleep, okay?" She kissed the top of Aimee's head and returned her to her Pokeball, knowing the Buneary would likely sleep right up until they reached the city, Rhia turned her attention to releasing and cleaning Castor, the job she knew would tire her out more.

Sure enough, Castor took much longer, hated the water, and kept trying to shy away, despite knowing he was going to be cleaned. Rhia resorted to wasting the second towel she had brought as a washcloth, dipping it in the stream and then scrubbing him down so that he didn't feel his fire was at risk. Still, his actions had made her smile, so even though her arms felt like noodles when she was done cleaning him she ended up in a good mood as she returned him with the same promise she had made to Aimee. Now it was her turn.

Once her own bathing had been finished, Rhia wandered back into camp, rinsed of dirt-- she'd been paranoid someone else would show up while her shirt was off, or her pants, since she had been washing in parts-- and in a set of fresh clothes. The fire at this point had been well-stoked, and she smiled at Lumina as she put away her dirty clothes in a plastic bag, put away her pillow, and hung her towel on a tree branch to dry. She double-checked that everything but her sleeping roll was put away, grabbed her brush, and headed over to the fire. The incident with the Swablu had made her a little more paranoid over her belongings. (Though there had been that one time she had lost several items to a family of Rattata she had been observing; good story.)

Brush in hand, Rhia checked briefly on the unconscious man and was comforted by his steady pulse and even breathing. The bandages didn't have blood seeping through them, which meant they should hold for the (hopefully short) trip to Motterossa. Her healer's duties done, she headed over to the fire and took a seat beside Lumina with another smile.

"Good morning. We never got properly introduced. I'm Rhiannon, Rhia. Green caravan." She started brushing out her long hair, careful not to let the water splash Lumina. "Did you at least get a little sleep last night?"

Gooood morning event! For anyone who's awake.

User ImageKacen woke, curled on Zippo's side with Gwend wrapped in his arms. He stretched, waking the ponyta and rattata, and began to slowly get himself up for the morning. His hoodie sat in a folded pile next to him, along with his bandanna and Zippo's green cloth, since he didn't think it would be very comfortable for Zippo to sleep with it tied to her leg. He tied the bandanna around his neck and the cloth around Zippo's leg again, but left the hoodie where it sat. His shoes sat next to his bag, and he snatched them up, slipping them on with ease.

He then rustled some Pokemon food out of one of the many pockets in his book bag and poured some in a pile on his sleeping bag. "You gotta share, Gwend." The rattata gave him an innocent look, and both pokemon began picking at the little pellets. Kacen then went to work on digging out a can of pasta from his bag and opening it, not bothering to worry about heating it. He ate quickly, his stomach demanding he barely chew before taking another bite.

Something about such a normal morning routine put Kacen in a good mood, and when he'd finished his breakfast and cleaned up, he was smiling. It would be a good day today.

He turned to Gwend and Zippo and patted them each. "I wonder how much further we have to go, guys."

Rhia turned at a sound from the camp she had just left and much further from where she had been sleeping she spotted another member of her caravan waking up. She was so glad she was friendly. Elsewise, she might have passed this trip alone. Or at least alone until the rock slide forced her to make acquaintances. Still, she could safely say she had met more people on this trip than she had at any other point in her stay in Zatao.

Her hand raised and she waved at Kacen from her place in front of the fire. His Pokemon reminded her she hadn't eaten yet and she jumped up and went for her pack, retrieving breakfast for herself and releasing Castor. Aimee could sleep in a little longer.

She set the sleepy Ponyta up with his food-- a Snorlax's share-- and then retreated to the fire to eat her muffin.

@Rhia

Kacen lifted his head and grinned at the raised hand, waving at his fellow caravan member. He spoke it a soft enough voice that hopefully it wouldn't wake any others, but would carry.

"Good morning. Rhia, wasn't it?" He bobbed his head and held up a bottle of water in offering. "Want some?" He had extras, again because of his paranoid mother, and they were honestly weighing down his poor pack. The more he got rid of the happier he'd be.

Gwend had wrestled another bottle out of the bag and used his long teeth to poke a hole in the plastic. He shared the flowing liquid with Zippo, and Kacen was certain they were pretty much best friends.

"No, thank you, I still have water left in my bag and we should reach town today." She had no idea of Kacen's poor back troubles, but wouldn't want to take an offer she felt was made out of politeness. "I'm afraid I don't know your name yet, though."

With food in her stomach, Rhia's day was complete. She was ready to go whenever anyone got up, despite it still being pretty dark out and everyone still being asleep. She glanced at the sleeping man, and a thought occurred to her.

"Actually," she called softly back to Kacen, "I think I will take one of those water bottles, if you don't mind. We can use it if our patient wakes up on the trip to Motterossa."

Mornings hadn't always been Oyumi's forte. There was a time, not so long ago, when she would sleep until the scent of Kurai making breakfast finally awoke her. Those days had begun to grow less frequent when she'd taken on her job as a Gym Assistant, and it was now normal for her to be up long before the sun rose.

Today was no different, and the ninja found herself awake just in time to witness the sunrise. As expected, sometime during the night Fuutarou had come out of his Pokeball and was now curled up against her side. The sight of the normally serious Mewtwo snuggling up with her, nearly purring brought a smile to her face, and after a moment of stretching she carefully shook the Pokemon awake.

Fuutarou stirred rather quickly, blinking his eyes open and staring around the clearing with a barely-concealed yawn. Once he was fully aware, he glanced towards his trainer - who was already beginning to pack up her things so she'd be ready to go as soon as the rest of the camp packed up.

'I'm guessing we won't be sparring this morning?'

Oyumi paused in her packing long enough to send Fuutarou a slightly apologetic smile.

"Not today. We'd probably wake everyone up, and there's not much room to spar here."

That said, she hefted her backpack up to her shoulder and made her way over to the group at the campfire, the Mewtwo trailing slightly behind her.

Kacen nodded and set the bottle down, swiping crumbs off his sleeping bag.

"I'm sorry." He chuckled. "I'm Kacen. And that's a really good idea." He picked the bottle back up and stood, tiptoeing to Rhia and holding it out to her. "You think the stretcher me and Flint made will do alright?" He tilted his head. "We had to improvise quite a bit."

He hoped it would be okay. If it was only for today's trip, it might be simple but perfect. Better than riding in an uncomfortable nylon stretcher for a whole day, maybe.

Morning!

It is, once again, another day! The sun is shining brightly in the sky and today looks like the perfect day for travel - the group will probably make it to Motterossa in no time. The weather forcast promises no rain but highs of up to 101 degrees, so you better get that sunscreen ready!

But first, there's breakfast to be made, supplies to be packed, etc. for everyone to busy themselves with before the group will begin to move again.

((Thanks, FFN! XD))

((@ Nyoko and Sorrows))

Rhia took the bottle from Kacen and nodded. "The stretcher looks like it should work just fine. We'll know for sure once we get it attached to some Tauros."

She gave Oyumi a bright smile and patted the seat next to her. "Morning, Oyumi, Fuutarou." It was amazing how quickly people could get over surprises. By this point legendary Pokemon didn't even phase her, especially not one who had done such a good job of saving their link to the rock slide. "Did you get some sleep after yesterday, or were you up all night?"

Rhia couldn't blame anyone if they couldn't sleep, but she thought exhaustion probably took care of that in most of the members of the caravan.

@Rhia:

"Morning," Oyumi said lightly, grinning at Rhia and moving to sit down next to her. After another brief yawn, she shifted to glance over her should at Fuutarou - who had remained standing behind her. The Mewtwo merely replied to Rhia's greeting with a polite nod, remaining silent for the moment.

"Well, I got more sleep than last night. That's for sure. What about you?"

@ Rhia and Nyoko

Kacen folded his knees and sat cross-legged on the ground in front of Rhia. "I'm glad we had all that extra stuff to make it. It'll make the trip that much easier."

He glanced at the trainer and her mewtwo and blinked for a moment at the legendary, and then smiled at them both. "Hi. I'm Kacen." He held his hand up in greeting and then turned to his pokemon. "That clever rattata over there is Gwend." Gwend raised his head at the introduction and darted over, scaling Kacen's back and resting on his shoulder.

@DHS:

"I'm Oyumi. Nice to meet you," Oyumi replied quickly, flashing Kacen a smile and moving to shake his hand. Her lips quirked slightly at the sight of the Rattata scrambling up his back to perch on his shoulder. After a moment she shifted to motion towards Fuutarou behind her. "This is Fuutarou. You'll have to forgive him if he's a little silent. He's a bit cautious around strangers."

He hurt all over. Groaning, Danny rolled onto his side and started getting up. He'd done a lot of lifting and walking the previous day and now he wanted nothing more than to take a hot bath. He wondered if he had managed to wake up before his housemates and who would reach the bathroom first. He went to stand up and felt some resistance on the top of his head. Before he could figure out what had happened, his tent collapsed around him from his trying to stand up in it. It was after all only a small pup tent about three feet tall.

"Gwa, ah!" He fought with the inside of his tent for a little while until he managed to get out. And then he remembered there would be no hot bath today because he wasn't home, he was no where near home anymore. The best he could hope for was that there would be a stream nearby.

User ImageLisa woke up groggily this morning, having passed out on a slightly comfortable patch of dirt. She discovered that she was hardly alone, as all her pokemon were curled around (or on top of) her. She smiled at her non-human companions and withdrew them into their balls, kept in the backpack she was using as a pillow. Bandit was the only one of Lisa's pokemon who remained out of his ball, as he preferred. Yawning, Lisa got up and dusted the dirt off of her clothing, then picked up Bandit and her backpack and went over to the purple camp, where she heard the sounds of someone rustling their tent. "Good morning!" she chimed as she entered the area around the fire, "I hope our breakfast isn't stolen today."

There was a short snort and the clicking sound of tauros tails from one of the tents. This was followed by a small thud and sounds of a brief struggle before the tent alltogether collapsed, illuminating the form of a Tauros as it tried to move around and what was most likely the engineer, trying to get away from him. Now... We all know that Tauros horns are effectively can openers for harder materials, so just as the engineer managed to get her head and shoulders through the exit to the tent, Buck moved just rough enough to shatter the material before bounding off to join the herd, looking back like he was afraid what might happen.

I just sighed and worked to pull myself from the wreckage so I could inspect the very tauros-sized damage. (Needless to say, the tent was trashed.)
