When Riza walked past him, Crenu stood there for a moment looking at his hand which she had blatantly ignored. Yeah, she wasn't happy one bit. She might have decided to stop pressing the matter but it was clear she hadn't just let it go. Deep down in the pit of his being Crenu felt a hint of sadness, different from the sadness he'd been suffering before. This was more than that, he was sad because he knew he was upsetting Riza, he almost felt...hurt. He didn't know why but she desperately wanted to know his problems. But why? Why would anyone want to take on another person's burden? The question burned in his mind as he stuck his hands in his pockets and started walking, taking a few big steps to catch up to her. It was quiet, he didn't know what to say if anything at all for a while, normally silence was preferable for right now it was unbearably tense. He should have been glad that Riza had started walking again and wasn't asking questions anymore, but for some reason he wasn't. Hands in his pockets he just walked. "....So. Did you take care of whatever you needed to take care of in Vermilion?"

Squirtle was definitely starting to get tired now, as even though his shell was protecting him from most of the damage Beedrill was dishing out, but being bounced around like a ping-pong ball was starting to take its toll on him. He popped out of his shell once more, deciding that he was going to be the one to finish this and he loosed a powerful-looking Ice Beam at the bee. Beedrill saw it coming and tried to dodge out of the way, though one of his wings was clipped by it in the process, and he cried out painfully as it frosted over, crippling his ability to fly. He began to fall, but not before he extended both of his stingers for one final Twineedle, though it turned into more of a dive of desperation which resulted in both Pokemon landing in a fainted heap on the ground, though Beedrill was conscious, even if just barely. Jaeshan, having been watching the whole thing couldn't help but chuckle as he recalled the two of them.
He looked over at Blaziken and Shelgon, not at all surprised to see that the two of them still eagerly engaged in battle. He could see that Shelgon's shell was scorched black in a few places, which meant Blaziken had managed to get a few fiery hits in. He'd turned to them in time to see Blaziken blast a Flamethrower, and Shelgon quickly countered with one of her own. The two attacks collided, sending flames in all directions, and Jaeshan had to step back a bit as the heat was nearly unbearable. Both Pokemon, while a bit riled up now, seemed in good spirits over their friendly competition, and this made Jaeshan glad. He was lucky that his Pokemon all got along well with each other.
=-=-=-=-= Kasiya smiled over at Blaine, and nodded. "Yes, I am looking forward to it too," she replied, though she was certain it wouldn't be happening for quite some time. She looked apologetically back at Keegan, not realizing that she'd elbowed him so hard, but when he finally got on with his introduction, however, she had to resist the urge to elbow him again, as the knowledge of his and Mike's past friendship would have been nice to have a lot earlier than now. She looked over at Sasha and Mitsu, sharing in the pink-haired girl's annoyance and the purple-haired girl's confusion, though a part of her was relieved that she wasn't the only one who hadn't known. "Best friends?" she repeated, outraged, and she was looking at him as though he'd just insulted her mother. "That can't be true! I was there the first time you guys met, in Vermilion City! You introduced yourselves and everything!" Her voice seemed to rise an octave after every second word or so, and she'd risen up out of her seat so that she was looking down at him. "Why didn't either of you say anything before? THIS ISN'T FUNNY!" she shrieked, upon noticing the smug smirk the redhead wore. She sank back into her seat, arms folded across her chest in anger as she waited for an answer.

"Yes! It worked out just like I planned!" Rebecca cheered, jumping up. "Okay, Chingling, use your Astonish!" The little bell ran at Cable at a surprising speed and slapped him around a bit with the two ropes that hung off the top of his head. Cable groaned and took the attack. He shook his head and his vision returned to him slightly and he managed to slam Chingling with a solid Thunderpunch, taking a few steps back, still suffering from the confusion. He looked over at Kilik and gave him a thumbs up, nearly throwing up from how dizzy he felt.
"Alright, that's two! Can you handle another four, Cable?" Kilik asked. He should be fine if he gets over this Confusion, he thought, crossing his arms over his chest, and as long as he doesn't get afflicted with another status effect, we'll be alright. The boy rolled the Electrilizer over his fingers like a dice. It made his fingers tingle, and he could tell that there was some kind of electric current inside. Stumbling, Cable nodded. Four more weaklings that he could beat in one shot? Of course he was ready! He held up his fists and noticed that he had four. Now when did that happen?
Tapping her foot, Rebecca tried to think of another Pokemon to use. "Uhm..." she snapped her fingers. "I'll try out my Fuzzy!" She tossed a ball out and out popped a black and blue lion-esque Pokemon. He glared at Electabuzz,who took a step back. A blue aura flickered around Cable for a moment and he suddenly felt weaker. Again, Kilik pulled out his PokeDex.
"Luxio, the Spark Pokemon. It has the Intimidate ability. The evolved form of Shinx. By gathering their tails together, they collectively generate powerful electricity from their claws." Kilik didn't bother listening to the rest. He knew now why Cable had suddenly gotten weaker, and he tucked the device away. So Thunderpunch wasn't going to work this time, huh?
"Cable!" he barked, "Use Brick Break again!" He was fairly certain that there was no way that an Electric-type of such low level would be able to survive even a neutral attack from Cable. He needn't worry about something like Static either. Cable ran forward and swung his fist towards Luxio, but it somehow found it's way straight into his own nose, causing him to fall on the ground, his head spinning. Ugh, when was this going to end? Electabuzz stood up slowly and readied himself, his vision slowly returning to normal.
"I got this!" Rebecca laughed, "Use Bite, Fuzzy!" Pawing at the ground to make sure he had solid footing, Luxio ran forward and opened up his mouth, biting down hard on Cable's arm. And he would never let go!
-*-
"Madam Junko," he said, getting on bended knee and taking her hand in his. "I am afraid it is time for me to go. I have a calling..." he looked off into the distance dramatically, Banette flapping his arms wildly to make a light breeze for his trainer's wacky hair to flow in, "Elsewhere. Good-bye!" He jumped back and tossed Murkrow out of it's ball. Banette's grin widened as he floated over to Hades, his entire body disappearing except for his zipper-mouth and red eyes.
Ssssee you around was all he said before the mouth and eyes disappeared, Banette having melded with Mazarin's shadow. He jumped up into the air and Murkrow grabbed onto his shoulders, clutching tightly. For being so small, he was surprisingly strong for being able to lift a human. He struggled for just a moment before heading off to the north.
"Good-bye Junko!" Maz called, waving to her, "May our paths cross again! It was the best smoothie I'd ever had! Good-bye! Good-bye! Goo--WHAA!" He brought his legs up after almost losing his jewels to a needlessly tall tree and with that, he vanished into the distance.

Robin was slowly, and a bit clumsily trying to follow Tony's movements. She didn't really see how this would help her, and apparently it showed on her face when Tony spoke up. "You can't just go through the motions you have to feel your body and mind reach a state of calm."
'Reach a state of calm? How was she supposed to stay calm when she could barely stay balanced?' "Gah." Was all she managed to say as she fell face first to the ground. "Ouch." Robin mumbled as she picked herself up. "People do this to relax?" She asked as she tried to follow Tony's easy and precise flowing movements.
"Yes, once you know the routine it is a very calming exercise, it would be a good way to focus your energy." Tony snuck a glance to a wobbly Robin. "Or at least get a sense of balance." Really if she was this weak and had this little sense of balance it was a miracle that she made it this far at all. Sighing to himself Tony finished up the routine, this was going to take a little longer then he thought, Robin was going to need to spend more time with him before he ditched her training over to Ampersand. Looking over to where her pokemon were training Tony watched them for a moment, before whistling loudly. "All right! Thats enough battling for now. Right now were going to work on your endurance." Tony clapped his hands together calling all of the pokemon over towards him.
Robin's grinned as she saw her pokemon approach her. "I hope you guys had fun. Oh Ace! You look so cool!" Robin reached down and scooped him up into her arms giving him a big hug before she put him down. The newly evolved Monferno sighed as he put up with Robins affectionate hug.
"Congratulations on your Chimchars evolution." Tony said as looked down at Robins bruised team. "Don't think you are done though! All of you are going on a run!" Turning towards his own pokemon he nodded at them. "Take them on run B and don't let any of them fall behind. If any of them fall behind make them start again!" All of Robin's side let out a loud groan at that while all of Tony's side got a sort of evil looking grin on their face. "Have fun you guys!" Tony waved them off as they all started their run before turning towards Ampersand who had been waiting for him to finish up.
~~~~~~
"You know thats a pretty strong looking pokemon you have there."
"Hmm?" Dante glanced back at the voice his hand still resting on Apollos neck. "Yeah, Apollo is pretty strong." Dante said after a moment, he was pretty sure this girl wanted a battle from him and he really wasn't in the mood for one.
"So how about a pokemon battle?" The girl was pretty confident a she grinned at Dante.
Wow how did he guess that she wanted a battle? "Look I am really not in the mood for a pokemon battle right now and this isn't really the place for one." Dante motioned to all the people who were getting off of the boat nearby. There really wasn't a lot of space for a battle here, though he was sure some people had tried earlier.
"Your a trainer, when someone else challenges you, you have to accept!" The girl pointed an accusing finger at Dante who just sighed.
"Fine, fine whatever. Let's just go somewhere with some more space." This was dumb, sometimes he hated the rules of being a trainer, couldn't he just turn down a battle if he wanted to? Clutching the egg close to him Dante lead Apollo through the route check. When they were in an area with more space Dante waited for his challenger to announce the rules.
"All right this is gunna be a one on one pokemon battle three pokemon each!" The girl, Dante decided to call her Molly, held out her pokeball and grinned at him before releasing it. "Let's go Delcatty!" Out of the pokeball sprang the delicate looking cat pokemon.
"Hmm, a Delcatty?" Dante thought for a moment before reaching into his bag and pulling out Xannons pokeball. The Baltoy hadn't really had a lot of battles and this would be a good opportunity. "All right here we go." Dante released the calm and small doll pokemon out onto the impromptu battlefield. At his side Apollo stirred a bit, he wanted to battle to.
Felicia displayed an expression of irritation as she rapidly wiped her nose; how dare he do that? She walked away from Mike to approach Nina and Anna, looking from Trainer, to Pokemon, and then back again. Nina smiled, leaning forward and petting the fox's head. "It's nice to finally meet you, Felicia. Sabrina told me all the details about how she met you. You were a gift from that Carrie girl, right?"
"Correct," Sabrina replied, despite the fact that she wasn't being addressed. "That is one thing that I actually miss from my time of spying on Maorde; I did make friends with those girls that I was training." She paused. "Except for that Phoenix woman. I mean, we got along all right, but after awhile, she just... changed."
"Mm. You said she was power-hungry, right?"
"Right. To say that I saw a reflection of Maorde in her would be a tremendous understatement. However, I do my best not to worry about that matter any further; after all, Maorde is gone now. There is little reason for concern."
"Heads up, River." The charging Wurmple missed its mark as the Feeling Pokemon shifted calmly to the right, letting the worm fly right past it. "Very nice. Can you grab its tail?"
The Wurmple let out an indignant cry as River seized the back of its tail and struggled to swing it around. Jett watched calmly from the edge of the clearing they had found. Night was almost upon the two, and that last Zigzagoon had been problematic.
"C'mon, River! I know you have it in you!" Jett growled under his breath, and he felt strength and anger rush through his veins. Like he knew she would, River fed off of her trainer's emotions and used it to her advantage. With an empathic grunt, the Ralts managed to spin the poor Wurmple and hurl it into a tree trunk. Said Wurmple let out one last growl and scurried in the bushes and into the darkness of Petalburg Woods.
"Are you all right, River?" Jett asked after a moment of silence. The Ralts shook her head, and the boy almost smiled. "You want a Potion? We'll go easier on the fighting from now on, until we reach Rustboro." River eagerly hurried over to the male, who produced a small bottle of Potion.
As the solution sprayed over the Ralts, Jett noticed how she gained a sudden healthy glow, and she repayed him with an energetic smile. The trainer returned the now empty container to his backpack, stood up, and looked at the trail continuing through the clearing. And after a single, shared glance between Pokemon and trainer, the two continued forward.
Jaden and his Pidgeot had planned on flying straight to Goldenrod City for some shopping after he left Riza and Crenu in Vermilion, but the buzzing of his phone interrupted them in mid-flight, as they hadn't even reached Johto yet. Pidgeot touched down softly somewhere south of Viridian City to answer, as the roaring wind would have made it impossible for him to hear anyone on the other end of the line. By the time he'd landed, however, the caller had hung up, though there was a message on his voicemail. Jaden frowned as he held the phone to his ear, having not bothered to get down from the Pokemon's back just yet. The message was from his father, and he sounded somewhat irritated, which was a bit unsettling. Even more so was the fact that he heard his mother's voice in the background as well, and if the two of them were in the same room, it couldn't have meant anything good.
"Well, I guess we're going home," the elder Harding sibling sighed, patting the bird's head. Pidgeot cooed in reply before stretching out his wings, and with a few flaps he and his trainer were up in the sky again, soaring north towards Blackthorne City. 'Why do I have the sinking feeling that this has something to do with Riza?' he thought, keeping his head down to avoid having his face assaulted by wind burn, and he could only hope that his sister hadn't done anything to get herself in trouble. * * * * * "Mais oui, ma petite fleur, I am always learning some'ting new. It iz quite un expérience. And to answer your question, ze contest iz tomorrow evening, but I must become acquainted with ze city and ze hall before zat." They continued chitchatting for the remainder of the way to Saffron, and before long they'd arrived in the large city. "You do not have any beez-ness to attend to here, non? Then we shall be off!" The elegant woman had no troubles at all flagging down a taxi, and she ushered Ryka into it. "Take us to ze north gate, s'il vous plaît," she said, and the cab driver nodded eagerly before driving off. Fantina marveled at all the sights and scenes as they passed through it, mentioning how she'd always wanted to visit Saffron and the fact that she could not have an extended stay made her very sad, or très triste.
She paid the driver a generous amount once they'd reached their destination, and once again the purple-clad pair continued on foot, though they hadn't gotten very far when Fantina pointed out two figures just a head of them. One was a tall girl, clad in black and the other was a boy, also tall, with blonde hair. They seemed to be a young couple, having an argument of sorts, and Fantina turned to look at Ryka even as they started walking again. "I wonder what iz wrong," she pondered aloud. "Should we see if we cannot be of assistance?"
'Running sucks!' Was the one thought going through Robin's head as she ran ahead her legs starting to burn with effort. In front of her Luffy and Ace were racing, and Raz being lucky and not being able to really run was flying above them, the only one really suffering along side Robin was Brook who was forced to run too. "Urg!" Robin groaned as ran on sending a small glare at Tony's pokemon who were running next to her forcing her to go on. "This sucks!" Robin yelled as she ran on.
"So whats up with the girl? Are you training her to take over your job?" Tony asked curiously as he approached Ampersand.
"Hm? Oh no I am fine with my job, not nearly old enough to retire. Though I might be training her to take over someone else's job." Ampersand grinned slightly at that comment. If said person ever found out about that though he was gunna be in a lot of trouble.
Tony grinned as he caught onto what Ampersand was saying. "This person wouldn't happen to be a tall blonde bombshell would it?" The older man chuckled and shook his head. "You sure know how to pick them. Is she still mad at you?"
Ducking his head Ampersand rubbed his chin slightly a little embarrassed but his tanned skin was hiding it well. "Well, she isn't as mad as she was when I first left I will tell you that." Looking up he saw Robin and her troop run by the poor girl really was out of shape if she was this tired after such a short amount of work. "Anyway I owe Robin a favor anyway, what better way to repay her then get her strong enough to challenge all the strong trainers she is will be facing."
He owed her? Well that was surprising, Tony briefly wondered what it was before he pushed that aside. "Well, whatever it is you owe her she will certainly get stronger if you make her stick through this.
~~~~~~~
The small cat pokemon treated the dirt on the ground as if it was a plague as it stood there delicately. "You sure are looking pretty Delcatty! Let's hit them with your Fake Out! Lets show them that you can be beautiful and strong!" The cat pokemon licked its paw a few times before dashing forward towards the ancient doll pokemon. Xannon stood there taking the hit, if it hurt him it didn't show, still the rules of Fake Out applied and Xannon couldn't move. "Good work Delcatty! You are so pretty! Now let's hit them with your Tackle attack!" The Delcatty didn't look to happy to be Tackling the dusty Baltoy but did it anyway. The attack wasn't to strong but it did send the levitating pokemon rocking a bit.
"Well, now that that is over Xannon hit it with your Confusion." Dante boredly ordered. He really didn't want to be in this battle and he knew that Xannon didn't really care if he was enthusiastic or not. The obedient doll pokemon blasted the Delcatty away from him with his Confusion attack.
"Oh no Delcatty! They ruffled your fur! Let's show them your Faint Attack!" The cute cat pokemon picked itself up shaking its body so to straighten her fur. Nodding the cat pokemon glared before it seemed to disappear in a sudden patch of darkness.
Faint Attack? That could really hurt if it hit, and Faint Attack always hit. "Xannon protect yourself with Harden." The small doll just started to glow as the Delcatty appeared right behind him and slammed into him with dark power.

Aw, crap, I hate it when people don't get my sense of humor, Keegan thought, quickly averting his gaze away from the girls, Sasha and Kasiya especially. I bet Mike would have thought it was funny. He couldn't help but wince as the blond shrieked at him, and though he knew he should be trying to diffuse the situation, the only thing he could really think of was that if Kasiya and Sasha ever got into a screaming competition, he'd feel sorry for the poor soul who had to judge it. "Well, nobody really asked for any of the details," he said defensively, looking back to Kasiya as she mentioned their meeting in Vermilion. He couldn't help but grin a bit, as he'd forgotten all about that. "Oh, yeah, well," he paused, remembering just how nonchalant and casual they'd both been towards each other that day. At the time, it seemed like a necessity, as neither one of them had wanted to bring up the past, but now, after everything, it was just plain funny. "That wasn't my idea at all, but I decided to go along with it. I guess we both figured that pretending we didn't know each other was better than starting a fight in the middle of the street." He looked at all three girls in turn, suddenly quite serious. "Don't worry, Mike and I will make sure you know all the details, but right now let's just focus on the getting there, alright?" He then leaned back in his seat, trying to pretend like he was interested in the distant scenery. Even still, he couldn't help but think that it was a huge mistake for him to go along with Blaine to Cinnabar Island.

Mitsu chuckled, using a hand to cover the mouth since she didn't want to be on the receiving end of Sasha's and Kasiya's anger. Though she was a bit surprised by Kasiya's reaction. She would have thought that the blond had known about this, Mike being her best friend and Keegan being her boyfriend (she assumed they were "on" at the time considering their rather on-and-off relationship) after all. But then again, Keegan always seemed to have more to him than meets the eye. She couldn't really understand Sasha's gripe either, even if they'd been best friends Mitsu couldn't see how that would have helped find where Mike currently was. In fact, the only reason they were going to see him was due to pure luck. They just happened to be in the right place at the right time.
"I think it's pretty cool that you guys were best friends growing up," Mitsu tried after having gotten over the initial shock. She glanced carefully at Keegan as she spoke. Truth be told she could picture how it would have been with the red head and the brunette causing terror upon the poor civilians of Lavaridge. Granted, in her imagination their personalities were probably warped and completely inaccurate but how could she have known otherwise? It really reminded her of Tate and Liza and how the three of them were inseparable when they were so much younger. She couldn't help but laugh, "It must have been a lot of fun."

"So I've seen Wurmple... and Zigzagoon." There was a pause and the silence was filled with the forest's chatter and the frantic scribbling of Jett's pencil. "I have no idea how far I'm in this forest... but it seems to have pretty weak Pokemon... Ugh." Jett cast a glance toward the still Pokeball resting on the ground beside him. "Nowhere near ready for Roxanne. I need some decent trainers..."
The two had stopped for the night, and now River was resting her Pokeball while Jett thought and recorded the findings of this forest. He simply sat now, a pad of paper in his lap, pencil in his hand, and a frustrated expression on his face.
There was no one to talk to, no one to complain to, and definitely no one to share his anxiety. Friends were suddenly a very high priority for Jett, and he really wanted to talk to someone who was either ready to face their first gym or had done so. He wanted someone who knew exactly how he was feeling now.
All Jett Forrest had was River, and she was even more terrified than he was. And she was the one who had to fight big, scary Pokemon.
"...Crap," he groaned, running a hand through his hair. The boy hugged his knees. And he stood up, collected his Pokeball, and continued forward through the Petalburg Woods.

Blaine decided that keeping out of this hairy situation was the best way to stay alive. Sasha and Kasiya seemed livid at Keegan for withholding information, and while he felt sorry for anyone caught between two screaming girls, it was also a bit funny to see the boy's smartass remark backfire.
"It wasn't your idea?" Sasha asked, very confused. "So he just pretended not to know you?" The girl sucked in her lips as she tried to think of his reasoning. "Z'hat must have been so strange." As lost as she was, there must have been a reason Mike acted like he didn't know his own best friend. She assumed, and hoped, that it would all be cleared up soon. However, the mental image of a little Keegan and a little Mike causing trouble was very cute.
"So," Blaine said with a light cough, hoping to break the tension. "How close are we to home, Ronald?" The pilot went to turn around and opened his mouth, but when his eyes met Sasha he just hung there for a moment, unsure of what to do.
"It's okay. You may talk." Sasha said, crossing her arms.
"We're actually just about to land." Ronald said meekly. "You should all make sure your seatbelts are fastened." Blaine and Sasha both buckled in their restraints as the helicopter jolted slightly, beginning its landing.
"This part can get a little rough." Blaine said. "But if Ronald is good for anything, it's flying."
------
"Without their leader, most groups either fall from loss of morale, or from infighting over who will be the next person in charge." Mike said offhandedly, probably quoting some movie. "At least, that's what I'd think would happen." The boy picked up Camerae, still shell-ridden, and pulled him closer.
"But what if tha-" Mike began, only to stop once he heard something in the distance. It sounded like a muffled machine gun. Must be Blaine. he thought. "Well, if you girls stick around you'll get to meet Blaine." Mike looked over at Sabrina. "Well, I assume you're already well acquainted. Don't you guys have like, meetings? I don't know." the boy shrugged, then continued to try to coax his Pokemon out of his shell.

Train hoped she was remembering correctly, because a Pokémon Center would definitely be nice. Plus that way they could also get their Pokémon healed up for the trek through the mountain. Even though they (or at least, she) hadn't used her Pokémon much since leaving Pewter, it would still be nice to get them checked up before heading into the mountain.
Train let out a little cry of surprise when Carlos grabbed her hand, nearly tripping over herself as she tried to get into a run to keep up with him so she wasn't dragged behind him instead. And she though she was excited to (hopefully) get to the PokéCenter.+=+=+=+ Leon almost felt like stopping and taking a break, just to do something different. But there was no way he was doing that; he wasn't even tired. Besides, he wanted to get out of the woods before it was too dark outside. Speaking of which, he had no idea what it was like outside of the woods, as all the trees made it darker in there, anyway.
Though he wasn't tired, Leon was actually getting hungry. The last time he'd eaten was at the Pokémon Center in Petalburg, and he was sure his Pokémon were hungry too. Especially Ghos, since he'd battled quite a bit. Maybe a break was actually in order. He moved over to the edge of the path and leaned against a tree, pulling a small bag out of his jacket. He brushed off a couple of larger rocks and put a few leaves on them, emptying out the contents of the bag; Pokémon food! Leon let Ghos out of his PokéBall and both of the teenager's Ghost-types dug in while Leon simply munched on a snack.

Riza folded her arms across her chest as she walked, trying to focus on other things, like what kinds of combinations she would use for the upcoming contest, but her mind kept wandering back to Shiro. "Yes, I did," she answered, her tone quiet. "Though that reminds me," she added, taking the Fly HM from her bag and handing it back to him. "Thanks for letting me use it." She bit her lower lip, vaguely aware of the fact that there were people walking behind them, but she didn't turn to look at them, figuring they were just travelers, like she and Shiro. She sighed, glancing back at his bandaged hand. She figured that she'd have a better chance of convincing her parents to get back together again than getting Shiro to talk about his problems, and she was even more sure he'd utterly refuse to tell her what he'd done to his hand. She wanted to say something, even if just to strike up a conversation, but she couldn't think of anything that probably wouldn't lead to another stalemate. * * * * * Sparks continued to flare between the Elekid's prongs as the Roselia continued to launch wave after wave of poisonous barbs at him, each volley coming quicker than the last. Before long, Kord was forced to resort to using his Quick Attack as a means for dodging, though it was working because he had yet to be hit by a single needle. By now he was also pretty sure he'd become the champion of dodging, and he looked to Katie after dodging yet another barrage of poisoned stingers. Katie just smiled at him before looking to Seraphim. "Keep it up," she said, leaning down to scratch Miles behind the ears.
The Roselia smiled yet again as she unleashed more poison needles at the young Elekid. She too had to admit that this was getting tedious and boring, but she had noticed significant improvement not only in Kord's ability, but in her own as well. She was finding that it was getting easier and easier to aim and change the trajectory of her attack once it had started. Kord, on the other hand, was getting more and more annoyed with this little exercise. He didn't understand why Katie wanted him to dodge over and over again, and finally he decided to take matters into his own hands. When the next wave came at him, he took a step back and thrust his hands forward, sending a wave of golden coloured stars as the oncoming stingers. The two attacks collided, nullifying one another. Katie clapped, impressed not only for the fact that Kord had just learned how to use Swift, but also that he'd figured out the lesson. "There you go!" she cheered. "See? You can evade attacks other than just by dodging them!" Kord blinked a few times, and looked over at Katie again. He smirked, and nodded before turning back to Seraphim, eager for more.

Kasiya closed her eyes and tried to think back to that day in Vermilion. They'd acted like total strangers, though now that she thought about it more, they'd been less than friendly towards each other. "You two are pretty good actors then," she said finally, her initial outrage having calmed down some, and she looked to Keegan, her expression serious. "Okay, I'll let it go for now, but you both owe us all a full explanation," she said quietly. "And I'm sorry for elbowing you," she added, buckling herself in as Blaine advised them to do so. She'd ridden in her father's helicopter many times before, so she was aware of how rough the descent could be, It does kind of make sense now though, she thought, staring at her feet. There were several times when the three of us were together, and Keegan and Mike were on the verge of fighting, like that time before when Mike had wanted to go off and get his fossil. Keegan was really angry about something then. She looked out the window as the Cinnabar Island scenery grew closer and closer, and she smiled, remembering the last time she'd been here. It had been with Keegan, and they'd spent most of the time enjoying one of the island's many resorts. And Levi was still a tiny little Mudkip, she thought, amazed at how much she had grown since then. That's right, we'll focus on the good memories, she nodded, gripping the strap of her seatbelt tightly. Don't worry, Mike, we're all here for you!
=-=-=-=-= Since his attention had been focused mostly on his younger Pokemon, Jaeshan wasn't entirely sure which of his Pokemon currently held the upperhand. From what he could see, Shelgon and Blaziken looked like they were on fairly even ground, even though the latter was at a disadvantage due to her Fire-type attacks being resisted by the dragon. Shelgon gave a low roar and reared back on her hind legs, causing four spear-like protrusions of rock to shoot up from the ground, encasing Blaziken within. Rock Tomb, Jaeshan thought as Blaziken cried out in pain, several cuts from the sharp rocks now decorating her arms and legs. She wasn't about to be stopped so easily though, and she let out a roar as she lashed out with a pair of solid kicks, demolishing the pointed rocks that had tried to entomb her.
It was about then that Jaeshan heard a strange ringing sound, and he looked around, clueless as to its source. "Oh, right!" he laughed with the sudden realization that it was his phone. Blaziken and Shelgon stopped to watch their trainer as he fumbled to remove the device from his pocket, exchanging smirks as he finally was able to answer it. Jaeshan may have been a good trainer and friend, but he definitely was a bit of a goof sometimes. "Oh, hi Mom," he said, looking happy to hear from her. "How are things in Littleroot?" The two Pokemon had decided to cease their training while Jaeshan was on the phone.
The conversation lasted maybe five minutes or so, and the blonde trainer was grinning broadly when he finally hung up. "Change in plans," he said brightly, tucking the device back into his pocket. "My parents are on their way to Vermilion City via their yacht, and they want me to meet up with them there so we can go on vacation together!" His excitement was quite obvious, and the two Pokemon watched with blank expressions as he gathered his things and readied his bike. "I haven't gone on a cruise in a long time, plus I think a vacation would be great!" He recalled the two of them and hopped on his bike, making a mental note to stop off in Saffron City to have his Pokemon healed.
