Kizu: Free health care. xD
I'm a military brat, and I wouldn't trade benefits for anything. >.>; I'm trying to go in once I graduate.

D_Cat-Exorcist @Ella: Hope you get unstressed soon! Me too. I'm looking up some anti-stress techniques.
@Kizu: They offer great health care for the people in the air force and their families/significant other. So it might help get my asthma and my heart under control.

my brother is a marine....but i don't think that military is the best choice for something like that.....i hate that idea. to be happy with healthcare even though someone you care about could die in combat.....doesn't seem like an equal trade to me...plus nothing lasts... i'm sorry...i'm being negative....disregaurd what i say on the topic

I do have those and love them but I can only burn them when my cat is not in the room. She likes to play with the flame. I'm doing meditation and it works a little bit.
@Kizu: its okay everyone has there opinion. I respect what you have to say.

lock the cat out of the room when you are trying to relax ella
and for asthma issues you can work on expanding your stamina and doing breathing exercises....throw off your breathing pattern purposly to make your self have an attack...time how long it takes...then work on resetting it on your own. also try to run...cardio works really well to expand stamina with respiratory issues

No Kizu, you're completely right, but that's not usually the case.
If you have a degree when you go into the military you get a job of your choice usually. You don't have to do combat. My father works in the hospital and he's been to Iraq twice. xD
I'm becoming a Psychologist, so I wouldn't ever be on the field for combat.

silly: i just don't like the idea of using the military...no matter what field you go into there is a chance...its dangerous....i just don't like it...i know someone has to do it...but i think way too many young people join the military for the wrong reasons...be it money or health care, or the need to prove themselves....or the urge to run into battle to become a hero....and the air force has one of the hardest boot camps to make it through....i have a cousin who made it.....its not something easy to go through....healthcare shouldn't be a reason to go through that

o.O You don't go into it just for health care. The benefits just make it easier. Also, if you go in as an officer you don't go to boot camp. >.>' Also, boot camp depends on which one you get sent to. Some are easy, some are hard. No branch is really harder than the other, it's just the location.
*Has been a military brat for a long time.*
I'm going in because there's a million soldiers who do go to combat and come home with PTSD and there aren't enough people to treat them all. We're in dire need of health care professionals in the Psychology field.
