No, I get it. Hollywood takes every rule science has ever created and threw it out the window...
But then there are people that fall forty stories and wind up with only a couple of broken bones and two weeks in the hospital.

I'm just wondering of there is more to the Law of Gravity than meets the eye. Like do things fall at the same speed, if there's an air current? Law says that it does, that air doesn't effect how fast something falls, but if I dropped a marble and feather off the same building, the marble would hit the ground first before the feather due to air currents keeping the feather up longer...

And I'm wondering if a strong enough wind on a high place would delay the person and act as a jet stream, pushing the person up and keeping him from falling faster...

Which just totally screws with the Law of Gravity.

*wants to push somebody off of a building on a windy day now to test this hypothesis*

to test this go take a penny and a tennis ball and drop them at the same height at the same time

The Penny would fall first, since it has less surface area for the air to push up against...

Yeah, I forget the specifics but I believe there's a formula for gravity. Its like surface area over weight or something.

it changes, depending on the air density and stuff as well.

actually no I've tried a test like that. My teacher made up drop a penny and a tennis ball from the same height(2meters) and they hit the ground two milliseconds apart.

Yeah, I forget the specifics but I believe there's a formula for gravity. Its like surface area over weight or something.

Well, I know for a fact the Gravity constant ( Speed at which gravity enacts upon objects ) is 9.8 m/s so In a single second normally you would fall 9.8 meters. Also, It takes you less than a second to fall off a chair and hit the ground. ( I timed it and it takes like 24 milliseconds )

The formula is 9.8m/s^2

And the thing I'm getting at, isn't the speed at which something falls, I'm talking about the energy used in the impact. The energy gathered as you fall, would collect, and when you hit the ground, it causes the energy to spread out (Hence why when people fall, the energy from their body is impacted and thrown out in such a violent way they become a human pancake)

What I'm saying, is that same logic applies to whether you hit the ground going the same speed, or whether you hit an airplane catching you going the same speed. The inertia should be the same no matter what, and though not enough energy is gathered, there's still enough energy to make you a human pancake.

(Also if Orchid gets on, Text me, ><)

Well actually, If your Velocity hasn't reached the Point where you will become a Pancake ( I forgot how fast, but the term for the fastest an object can move while falling is terminal velocity ) then you will just break limbs. And it really isn't inertia that causes that, it is the difference in force. " For every action there is a Reaction. " This is the basics of physics. Taking that into account, when you hit the ground, you exert force on it, but it exerts far more on you, causing you to become a pancake.

Fun fact, You only fall half way to the earth, it moves the other half. ( Don't ask me how, our Phy sci book said so )

Dammit Lance! D: Why'd you refer me to Mist? The kage hasn't been on in like 2-3 days.

that's because he's in the hospital, we'll still have genin exams they'll just be done through an npc

Edit: also MIST FTW!!!! that is all

Oh, then nevermind.

I don't have to learn genjutsu, do I? That's impossible for me.

Edit: The only reason I'm more inclined to complain than more people, is because my sleep deprivation has gone as far as to warp my sense of time. One single day can range to one to four days in total for my mind. So, imagine what just a week feels like.
