Lin sighed as Ophiuchus lessened the pressure slightly with his hands. This was perfect. In fact, it was very relaxing now. Her muscles were already beginning to loosen under his hands now.

Lin brought her arms up to rest on top of the book under her head and rested her head on her arms. She was even smiling slightly.

Her voice was quite soft now, and very relaxed. "Bai Ching offers four years of collegiate classes for students who wish to further their education in white and neutral magics. As you know, collegiate classes in magic are very rare. Plus, I love Bai Ching and would love to spend another four years here. Of course, I would major in healing magics and practices."

"That sounds wonderful, Lin!" Ophiuchus continued to rub her back. Her muscles weren't as loose as before, so that was good. He'd probably have to do this again, though. Lin studied so intently that she would become oblivious to her own body's needs. "You're one of the most competent healers I've met in a long time, I'm glad you're going to continue your studies there."

He stopped, and rested his hands back on top of her shoulders. His eyes were closed, and his mind was very far away - back at MFHS, apparently. Ophiuchus tried to keep tabs on that school while he was away, and from what he was distantly picking up, well, someone was not happy.

Ialo, what's wrong? All he could sense from the dragon was anger and fear.

Ophi's grip tightened slightly on Lin's shoulders. It was not the comforting touch of before.

"Lin," he said, his voice calmly belying his own sudden anxiety. "I so very appreciate you giving me a pendant. I'm going to be using it a lot the next few days." He back away, and stood next to her, looking down at Lin.

"I'm going to tell you this first, because I trust you, and you are strong. I need to go back. Something terrible seems to have happened at Mystic Fountain. All I can pick up from Ialo is incoherent rage, and a name."

On Mount Olympus, Ares sat lazily in his throne, fingers drumming boredly on the armrests and legs stretched out. Slowly, though, he frowned and sat up straighter, legs coming in to a proper sitting position, and his hands found each other. He leaned forward, deep in thought.

Something was happening--something big, something that would start a war. It excited him, and he wanted to be part of it. He needed to be part of it--he was, after all, the God of War. How could he resist something so delicious as this? Hell was even getting involved! Why not Mount Olympus?

Smirking, Ares rose and strode over to a large window that seemed to overlook the world, and stared to the north, then the east, and the south-east. He knew what places would be hit first when Hell was involved--in fact, one place was already being teased.

Mystic Fountain was the first target, and, Ares could tell, Bai Ching would be soon to follow.

In the meantime, Caroline had eventually woken up, and raced to class with time to spare - she even had her school uniform!! It fit like a dream, which explained why she skipped into her first class of the day (she wanted the hem to flutter just like Sakura's dress in the first theme song of Cardcaptor Sakura. It did. And it made Caroline happy).

And by three in the afternoon, she was just as highly amused. She was in her history class, and from the window, she could see Familiars 101. A lot of the girls she met last night were down there, she could see. Caroline had thought about joining that class, but honestly, having a familiar didn't appeal to her so much. Granted, she didn't know anyone personally who had a familiar, but still. It seemed unusual to a lot of people, but Caroline actually enjoyed being alone (until she got bored).

Hurriedly, she scribbled down notes while her history professor continued to lecture. Hopefully, she didn't miss anything while she was daydreaming!

Albtraum Der Angst
Musica couldn't help the smile that spread across his lips. He wondered how much trouble he could be when alone with another attractive person. The idea was very humorous to him, causing the smile to enlarge. "I wonder what she'd think if she knew I was bi?" Knowing that was a bit of a tender thing to touch on just yet, he let the thought pass. If she was curious about it thenso be it, but he didn't want to dig his own hole for himself. "It'll be my honor, we can take the old rust bucket of mine. Be careful with her, she's not far from my age." He spoke in an accented purr as he stood up and held his hand out for her to grasp. It was as if he were a teen twitteredpated with some young thing. In fact that could all be considered true, except for him being a teen bit.

Ari laughed and took his hand, hopping to her feet. "Shall we?" she asked with a smile.

Musica led her quickly outside of the building, making sure to lock up and put up a sign of closing. There wasn't any business anyway. Walking her over to his truck he got in on the left side and gently closed the door. Taking out the key he cranked up the truck with a loud roar that shook the ground. He smiled as he rested his arms on the steering wheel, waiting for her to get in.

{{....**decides to put Lin back in story**}}

Lin had smiled at her professor's wonderful compliments. In fact, she was positively beaming! For someone she respected as much as Ophiuchus to compliment her healing skills was truly humbling and gratifying. She was so happy!

However, Lin started to become tense again when she felt Ophiuchus's hands tighten on her shoulders suddenly. They weren't moving, just tightening. Was he angry for some reason?

When he spoke again, his voice was different. Despite what he said, Lin could sense the worry and stress laced in his voice.

And when he stepped back and finished speaking, Lin's face filled with determination and she stood up and walked over to her professor. This wasn't about avoiding MFHS now because of Dymetri's memory. MFHS might not be her initial school, but she felt as if it was her school, nonetheless. She had been there for over 6 months.

She didn't think she'd have time to think of Dymetri with these new developments occurring.

She reached forward and placed her hand over the pendant on Ophiuchus's chest and looked up at him with certainty and a fierceness in her eyes.

"I am very glad that I gave you this pendant, Professor Akakios. It will protect you and aid you as well."

"But so will I. I am going with you, sir. I will help. I have recovered here long enough."

Ophiuchus was extremely thoughtful - but only for a moment, as he had made up his mind quickly once Lin spoke.

He grinned softly at her, and placed his hand over hers. "Lin, thank you. We are both going to be needed. Healers have to stick together, after all." For once, he referred to her as a partner, rather than a prized student.

"Ialo will probably insist you go back, but if he does, just tell him to stuff it, because you're with me, and not one of his students. But if you decide to go back, that's fine."

{{...**decides to put Ever back into the story**}}

{{Silver, the class is outside by the forest.....}}

Ever turned and smiled at Kindra. She was the girl from this morning in the meditation room.

Before the professor could continue, however, a bright blue light, though not as bright as last night since the sun was out, came zooming out of the forest and hovered by the professor's head.

Ever gasped as she recognized the light from the night before. Well, it could be any light, but no other light from the lake had ever come out of the forest during the day. She smiled brightly at the light.

The light was dancing up and down in the air and when it spoke, its voice was high and light, like a chipmunk's.

"Hey, hey! I have an announcement to make, too, Professor!!"

The professor's eyes widened and she looked at the light in complete shock. She knew what it was, but a light fairy had never come out of the forest during the day before.

"Uh... alright..."

The light fairy zoomed over to Ever, to her surprise, and sat on her shoulder.

"Since this is the class about familiars, I will make this announcement now. I am going to be Evermore's familiar, starting right now! Just so you know! I got to meet her last night, and I really like her! So there!"

Ever's eyes widened and she gasped. She.... she had a familiar.... she had a familiar! Sure, she felt really connected with the fairy last night and had even become entranced by her, but she didn't even consider that the fairy was meant to be her familiar! Light fairies never became familiars! This was amazing!!

Ever grinned and nodded to the professor and then continued to sit on the stump, finally feeling like a true member of the class.

The professor was smiling brightly herself and nodded. "Alright! Wonderful! I will just enter this into my roster and we'll continue with the class."

And so she did, and then she proceeded with the rest of the class.

"This is slightly boring" Trent told himself pecking at his wings. "familiars are and easy subject once you've summoned one." He said to himself transforming from his hawk form into his human form where he simply sat on the branch looking over the class.

Aurora smiled briefly at Evermore. "You worried for nothing," she stated simply. Then, class continued. They did not learn much that day, as it was still a first for many students. Evermore was not the only one who had just gotten a familiar, after all.

When the class ended, Aurora turned to Evermore and Akira. "Do you two have class right now? I do not, and I would like to invite you to spend some time with me in my dorm if you would like. We could talk."

Lin smiled brightly and nodded. "Thank you very much, sir. I am so glad that you still have such faith in me."

She looked at their hands, his on top of hers against his chest. She slowly pulled her hand away and then went over to her writing desk. She opened the notebook that was on the desk and got a pen. She began to write.

"I just need to write a note to Headmistress Krause that I am leaving once again."

Akira had been surprised by the light fairy's voice, and the "hey, hey" reminded her of so much of the Legend of Zelda, with that little fairy that practically drove her insane with her "HEY HEY, LISTEN!!!", but had grinned anyways, momentarily forgetting that she was still technically arguing with Evermore.

"Ya, seriously! I knew you'd get a familiar, Ever! And one of a kind at that!!"

After that, the class had been pretty informative. She'd learned a bunch more important facts on how to take perfect care of Kilala, thought it was still a beginner's class, since most girls had just gotten their familiar's today.

Akira quickly checked her schedule when Aurora asked if they had any class right now and smiled.

"Nope, free period for me too! I'd love to hang out!"

Ophiuchus shook his head. "That probably won't be necessary. I need to speak with her about this. It would be best if she knew about this.. if she doesn't already."

He paced around a bit, and glanced out the window. This was all very worrisome. "You need to hear this too, naturally."

Ever smiled brightly at her best friend. In her opinion, their argument was over. They just didn't need Ares to show up again anytime soon, and they'd be great.

"Thanks, Akira! Seriously, I should always listen to your intuition. It's usually right. I know that I didn't need a familiar, but I'm so glad I have one!"

The light fairy on her shoulder bounced up and down in the air. "Meee too! It's not common for us to have a connection to people, but every once in awhile it happens!"

Lin smiled and stood up, making sure to shoulder her back to her other shoulder. She was going to put her backpack over her shoulder, but she remembered that the light fairy was still on her shoulder. Her familiar.

She smiled brightly at the fairy. Without looking at Aurora, Ever nodded. "Yeah, I can come to your room, too. Most classes are finished by now, except for independent studies."

She reached up her hand to her shoulder and smiled when the fairy happily jumped into her hands. It looked as if Ever was holding a ball of light. Very cool!

"You know, I need to be able to call you something other than 'light fairy'."

The fairy turned in quick circles in Ever's hand and then spoke excitedly. "My name is Raven!"

Ever's eyes widened and then she groaned softly, obviously not really meaning it. "Oh man.... Evermore and Raven. I'm sure that Edgar Allan Poe is flipping in his grave right now."

The fairy danced on Ever's hand. "I know!! We're a perfect match, even in name!"

Ever started to walk back to the castle, but something caught her eye at the edge of the forest. It was red, and she quickly turned her head. Luckily, she was at the back of the group, so no one would see where she was looking.

Ever's eyes widened as she saw three of her mothers standing between some trees in the shadows. Their red cloths were blowing in the wind, and she was sure that only she could see them. They had never been to Bai Ching.

User Image

Ever whispered to Raven, and she quickly zoomed over to Akira and sat on her shoulder. Ever spoke to her friends quickly.

"Hey, I forgot that I need to collect something in the forest for one of my classes quickly. I'll catch up with you quickly."

Without waiting for a response, Ever quickly jogged over to the forest.
