Veeanna: Aw. Too bad everything belongs to me, as I am currently taking over the world (I'll post a picture of my little desk sign saying "accept me as your all-knowing and powerful leader and nobody gets hurt" 4laugh ). In all seriousness, I just liked his attitude. It amuses me.

Madi: It is. Very cute little song, too. But try to get "Girl Anachronism", it rocks, seriously. "Truce" is also very sweet, although you need to play it on a loud volume in order to get all the whispered comments.

It is Thursday, ladies and gentlemen! That means that Aki has a mission! Last Thursday she set out to obtain her living certificate, post letters, and a list of other things. Today, she has one mission only - but it is a big one.

...I know, I know, you're dying to know what she's up to this time...

Well, Aki lives in Norway. Aki is Dutch! And Aki's passport and permission to stay in Norway has, well, expired. So Aki is today going to go to the Dutch Consul in Trondheim, dutifully carrying two passport photographs, two kinds of ID, her old passport, a request for a new passport, and her living certificate. Aki has no idea where to find this consul; she only knows which bus she has to take, and where to get off. From there, she ahs no clue.

Okay, guys, let us play a game! Imagine that you are a consul, of which country I leave up to your imagination. Where would you place yourself, so that the good little citizens of the country you represent but who live in the country where you, funnily enough, could find you? Somewhere easily accessed, right, and of course you would put up pointers here and there, and make sure your code of arms is easily visible from a distance, surely?

Not if you are the Dutch consul of Trondheim! Oh no, then you make your offices between homicidal lorries and huge containers, without any hints about your whereabouts whatsoever except just outside your well-hidden door, so that the good little citizens of The Netherlands living in Trondheim have to walk around from building to building for nearly an hour, because no one can tell them where the Dutch consul is.

I started crying after having asked ten people and gotten different answers all the time, but I now have delivered my application for a new passport (takes three weeks or so before I get it), together with my living certificate and two horrific photographs of yours truly. Thank goodness I do not have to repeat this little adventure before 2011! By then they will have moved, of course, to an underwater location (they were not far off), and take it for granted that all good little Dutch citizens living in Trondheim know how to transform into a shark or a dolphin or a goldfish or whatever to get to them.

Of course (nationalism kicking in), it is only because the consul is run by Norwegians. Norwegians on the whole are generally unfriendly and unhelpful and anti-foreigners (okay, that would be Kristiansund-Norwegians, but I am in no mood to see shades of grey), so they place the consuls in strange locations.

He's an alright guy when he's just joking around, talking about drinks and having fun.

But ******** man, do I ever want to backhand you several times everytime I have to read you being all emo about something, or trying to get attention (which you tend to do in excess). I told you off about that before, and I figured with you going to school things would get better.

Just like... pretend to be happy or something at least. It's really depressing to other people. I have to pretend to be a lot of things online too, so it shouldn't be all difficult for you.
