"Yes, you gain those abilities. Also, you will have greater endurance and can go without sleep for longer periods of time."

Looking at his pad with curiosity, Katerine was glad he was so prepared. Skiiy really had planned on getting Aes Sedai that could leave exactly when she wanted. Once again she was comforted by this fact. He mixed up Dreaming with Foretelling though and she needed to clear that up. The two were related, but different.

"Don't worry about me with the Foretelling. What you are referring to is Dreaming. I can only enter the Dream World if a Foretelling is involved there or if I have a ter'angreal that allows me to enter that world. The only thing that poses a threat to me is anything going on around me. I'm sure you will be able to handle any problems though."

With a smile, Katerine sat back and got comfortable. She didn't like laying down while going into a trance. Closing her eyes, she concentrated on her breathing and heartbeat. The key was to focus only on those two and get them in sync. After doing it so many times, it was only a few moments before Katerine was in the trance and only a squeeze to her shoulder would wake her.

Katerine was in a lightless void that she had affectionately called "The Jumping Point". From here she was able to go either into the future or into the past. How she knew this, Katerine wasn't really sure. She had never attempted to go into the past, but she had a theory. Now was not the time to be testing that though.

Moving toward the present and future, visions of places and people flew by. None of them reached out toward her though. If it had been a foretelling, it would have enveloped her and revealed the vision. She could pass by all of the visions without learning anything though because she could never approach a vision. The vision had to come to her.

Still moving forward, a few reached out toward her, but none were clear. That was the biggest difficulty. Nothing was for sure and the foggier a scene was, the more possiblities there were for that time. Katerine grew a little frustrated, but she was used to such things. She had only had one really clear vision and that was the one directly after she had come to this city.

Katerine moved forward a little bit more, but realized she wasn't going to learn anything. Turning around she was soon back at the Jumping Point. Katerine closed her eyes...

And was brought back to her body. Opening her eyes, she saw Skiiy had not moved very far. It was often difficult for her to tell how long she had been in a trance, but this time must not have been very long. Shaking her head, Katerine rubbed her eyes to gain her bearings again.

"Nothing. All of it is just too muddled with too many possibilities for anything to be clear."

Kakashi had only been Master-at-Arms for all of a day perhaps and he was already bored with it. Nothing was happening in the Tower that involved warders in training or Warders without Aes Sedai.

Kakashi had just finished up pummeling a practice dummy again. His staff was beginning to look a little worn from all the practicing he had been doing in his spare time. Actually, all his spare time was spent practicing, and spare time was pretty much his entire day. Looking at his staff, Kakashi sighed. "Perhaps I should look into getting a new staff. I didn't see many good trees or wood on my way here, though, so I don't know where or when I'll be able to get or make a new one." He sighed again and shrugged. "Maybe I can find a place to buy one?"

"Wait, so you're saying being a warder improves my body on all sides huh? That's nice to know, I'll remember this stuff. Apparently, it doesn't make me any smarter though. My knoweledge of this world is limited, and even more so when it comes to Aes Sedai. But that's okay, I'll leave the thinking to you, and you leave the fighting to me." Skiiy flexes playfully, then places his gunblade across his lap and watches as she falls into the trance. He waits for a while, as it is quite dull for him, though it does give him some time to rest his mind and body. Finally, she wakes up, and he can only feel disappointment as she says that she wasn't able to find anything.

"Oh well, that's okay, it's not like I could've done any better. For now, let's just get you some sleep, and we'll explore into the town tomorrow. That seems like the most productive route to me. Of course, if you have a better idea, we could always go with that..."

((Sorry's I been gone so long. Lots o' stuff, lots o' stuff. I'll be posting a rather long fan-fic in the ooc thread soon, if thats alright?))

Rein woke up and winced blearily at the light. Groggily, he rolled over and found the tavern maid lying next to him. He checked his coin purse and found it quite a bit heavier, which meant that he'd had one of his famous runs of good luck. No wonder this lovely young lady had been eager to bed him. Putting on his clothes and checking that his powder supply hadn't been wetted during the uproar, he slowly began to sneak out of the room. He had almost made it when he stepped a little too hard on a creaky tavern board. The young woman groaned softly and rolled over towards him. Having had many an experiance with angry barmen, Rein bolted the rest of the way out of the inn and into the streets, ignoring cries of "my lord, come back!" eminating from his former bedmate.

"No, sleep is fine. Going into a trance does take a little out of me. Besides, it will probably be dark soon. As I said, it is not good to be out after dark. We better bring the horses inside too. That way I only have to put a ward around the building."

Katerine rose from the bed and brushed her skirts down. She stifled a yawn and walked a couple of steps unsteadily before gaining her balance. It was difficult to regain her bearings for a few moments after a trance. Once steady though, Katerine walked to the door and down the stairs. She brought the horses inside and tied their reins to a peg on the wall. Then she fed them. Taking a seat in a chair, Katerine looked around and pulled out her little book. She flipped through the pages and occasionally stopped to look at a page. A thoughtful look crossed her face as she skimmed through her notes, but still nothing came to her.

I just need sleep. Nothing is going to reveal itself when I'm tired and frustrated like this. It's just that I want answers and it seems like one never comes.

"Alright, if you're going to set up wards, I might as well set us up some traps. After all, if they're going to go through the trouble of setting off the wards, they're gonna do it in mass amounts. Some traps would give us a better chance, but I'm probably just being paranoid...Better safe than sorry." Skiiy smiles before heading off to do his business. The traps would only slow them down, but they'd at least give him more time. Most of them involved firing chairs at the attackers, but Skiiy was satisfied with even that.

Skiiy heads back to the room and lies down to wait for Katerine to head to sleep. He'd be staying up tonight anyways, since he doesn't usually sleep a lot anyways, and his advanced endurance would help him out too. He gets the idea to pull his whetstone out of his bag and begins sharpening his gunblade, since he did need to keep it sharp after all. However, he constantly keeps his eyes on Katerine, watching her and making sure she's safe.

Closing the book, Katerine stood up and moved to her saddlebags. She slipped the book into an inside pocket and took out her brush. Taking the silver charms and bells from her hair, she put them into a pouch and began to take her hair down. With all the pins out, it easily fell to her mid back and she undid the two braids that had held most of it back. Then Katerine began to brush her hair in long strokes to take all the knots out. When that was finished, she replaced the brush in it's pocket and slipped her riding boots off.

Instead of changing, Katerine kept her dress on. Tomorrow she would switch into breeches and a shirt out of conveinence's sake. Sitting on the bed, she wove the gentle threads that would set up a perimeter around the inn. If any shadowspan crossed that border, Katerine would know instantly. The ward set, Katerine settled down in the bed. She glanced over to Skiiy and saw him sharpening his blade. His weapon still was quite odd to her, but she would grow used to it in time. With a smile and somewhat tiredly Katerine spoke softly.

"Good night Skiiy. Don't forget to get some sleep yourself."

Katerine warded her dreams, but didn't do so for Skiiy. She wasn't sure if he was comfortable with that yet, but if he mentioned anything about odd dreams, this would be the last time he went with a ward. Thoughts on that subject did not last long for when she shut her eyes, Katerine began to drift off. The happenings during the day had been more tiring that she had thought. Within a few minutes, her breathing was that of someone sleeping peacefully.

Skiiy goes through the process of grooming and cleaning himself, a task which he does every night, for it is easier for him than most humans. He binds the air with his energy, and runs it through his teeth for starters, grabbing up the grime and dirt to clean them, and dumps it off in to the side. Then, he runs it around his body in much the same fashion, quickly cleaning himself without ever using any sort of liquid.

Skiiy grabs his mat and places it against the door, putting his clothes down as a pillow. He lays down on his makeshift bed, facing Katerine, so as to be able to watch her. He quickly falls asleep with one eye still open, watching for anything out of the ordinary. Sometime during the night, his eyes would switch, so that the other one could rest. Mastering this skill had taken him an extremely long time, but he had finally gotten it down, and he found it useful.

During the night, Katerine had awoken with a start. Taking her small book, she created a small ball of light and wrote the dream down before shutting it and going back to sleep. She didn't wake again until the morning.

The sunlight hit her across the face causing Katerine to roll over and open her eyes. Skiiy was still near the door with one eye open. She had seen a few warders who could do that, but she hadn't known that Skiiy could. Rising from the bed, Katerine went to her saddlebags and pulled out a white shirt and brown breeches. Moving toward the screen, Katerine went behind it and started to undo the row of small buttons along the back of the riding dress. Once it was off, she let if fall to the ground and put the more comfortable clothes on. Gathering up the dress, she folded it and put it into the saddlebags.

Pulling the brush from it's pocket, Katerine began the daunting task of getting the knots out of her hair. It took a few times, but the knots were eventually out and she began to braid her hair. Once it was all up, she put the charms and bells back in her hair. Then she slipped on her boots and looked over to Skiiy. He had awoken while she was changing, but hadn't said anything to her.

"Why don't we eat something now? Then we can go see what we find."

Skiiy awakens in the morning when Katerine gets up out of bed. His reflexes wake him when there is a lot of movement, which is why he is up now. He turns away from the screen, more out of politeness than necessity, since he wouldn't be able to see anything anyways. Instead of changing clothes himself, he runs air through his clothes like he did over his body last night, this time cleaning the dirt out of each and every stitch. When he gets done, Katerine has stepped out from behind the screen, and said something about food, so he goes to find his stuff, and begins laying out what food he brought. He has some preserves, some salted meat, and some biscuits; basically, he only brought long term travelling food.

"Ya, I've got this food, I don't much like preserves, and it's not very good food, but it is sustenance. Hey, this place isn't a victim of age, do you think there's food downstairs?"

Clarissa eyebrows climbed steadily higher throughout Yurins speech. His anger only making hers stronger but when he apologized her face expression melted slightly. A small smile crept to her lips. As she began to control her emotions and realise what fool they were both being.
"You are quite right my yelling and yours will not do anything. You should not be too angry at yourself I know you had nothing but good intentions. You were right to have done something maybe not exactly how you did it but That doesn't matter now."
Her smile was gone now replaced with a look of deep thought and concentration. Her lips pressed together with worry.
"You were wrong however to even think of stopping me from helping you. As I know even now you are. We must think of a plan and it will work you are to much of a treasure for the shadow to have. Besides if with a single bond and not even a real death I almost wanted to kill myself think of what a dual bond might do."

Clarissa's anger dissipated taking his own with it. Yurin sighed in appreciation. He nodded as she agreed to drop the anger. He couldn't help himself from grinning as she expressed her ineffable optimism in assuring him that he would escape. She didn't yet know of his injury. He could feel it weakening his body even as they spoke. He had to escape quickly, if at all.

"It is possible simply to release the bond before that happens, Clarissa. I don't know if I can get out of this one. I must take that boy with me when I leave... Not in a physical sense, either. He is important to the Dark One. He must be removed."

Mog's eyes were downcast as he searched his mind for the weaves that attached him to the Amyrlin. He couldn't let her share in his pain and eventual death. He needed to do as he needed to do, though. There was no denying the boy's importance. He just wished he knew more of what was occuring.

"Please forgive me for not serving you better, Mother. Maybe in my next life, I will attone for my failure."

Yurin seized saidin and began weaving to remove the bond.

as they walked down the path in the garden they heard a strange noise comming from the Warders Yards. ((someone new make somthing up for this! we need a fourth person!)) "what could that be?" Alina wondered out loud. Then she came to a sudden halt, she felt somthing she thought she would never feel. someone channeling a lot of the Power. so much, that even if she were to hold that much she would die, and the Aes Sedai's say that she is one of the most powerful Initiatives they have ever seen or heard of since the age of legends. she turned towards DUpre and noticed that he too had stopped. "you cant...you cant...feel it too?!?!?! can you?@!?!?!

"There could be. I never checked before."

Katerine smiled and headed toward the door. She turned the knob letting her wards dissipate around the inn. Once down the stairs she headed toward the kitchen, and began to look around for something. Before she could open one of the various cabinets though, Katerine's world went black and she collapsed to the ground.

She was standing at the Jumping Point, but images flashed in front of her. Katerine realized what had happened, but knew that Skiiy would have no idea. Unfortuately there was nothing she could do to tell him that she was alright. She wouldn't be able to leave the Jumping Point until the Foretelling was over either. Katerine could control the Foretelling to a certain degree, but there were times when really strong Foretellings came to her and forced to her to see.

The only difficult about this way of Foretelling is that is was horribly cryptic. Everything was in symbols and rarely was a tangible place or thing shown. Colors flashed around Katerine making her hair come out of it's braid and cross her eyes. She didn't want to miss what was happening though and she brushed the hair from her face. Soon she was drowning in the color and a place revealed itself to her. The scene was extremely foggy though and she could barely make out what was happening.

It was dark, very dark. Boxes were all around her, or at least what felt like boxes. She was walking toward a cabinet in the back though and pulled on the handles. Opening the doors she was confronted with a plain looking shield and a figurine of a woman. Just as she was reaching out to touch the objects the world flashed around her.

She felt like she was spinning around and when Katerine could see around her again, she was looking at a grim view. A sense of foreboding filled her to the brim. Unseen shadows seemed to pass all around her wanting to take her. Slightly frightened by the scene, Katerine wished to be gone, but a sense of light was coming from the wall. Running toward the light with the shadows running after her, Katerine caught sight of dead sisters with their rings ripped from their fingers. As she looked at the rings, blood started to fill her path and she could feel the shadows gaining on her. Adding to her distress, the light seemed to be fading and she was no longer getting closer to it.

Suddenly she was falling, falling through black abyss with no end to it. Flashing across her vision were images of the Tower with the stylized Flame of Tar Valon falling from it as if in tears. Still frightened by her encounter with the Shadows, this scene washed her with a sense of saddness.

Then she hit the bottom. In her hands were the shield and figurine. The scene before her was a mix of the shadow place and the tower crying. Understanding that all of these things were connected, Katerine didn't understand how but knew she had to find the objects and soon. Somehow that fading light represented the Tower's interests and it was fading as she stood there watching. With a blink of the eye...

Katerine was roughly thrown back into her body. She was not on the cold ground as she had expected though. Skiiy was holding her and looking warily around as if expecting an attacker. Raising a hand to her forehead, she tried to erase the immense fear she felt at the shadow place. The sense of lost time though brought her to her senses quick enough though. Seeing how the light was shining in through the window, the Foretelling must have been about an hour.

"How long was I out? We need to make up for any lost time. I don't know what exactly is going on, but we are looking for a shield and a figurine of a woman. Those have to be used against some shadows, but I don't know where. If we don't find them and save the light, then the Tower will be hurt."

Katerine really didn't realize that she probably sounded like she was babbling. Her emotions were a mess though and she wasn't controlling them at all. Fear, sadness, and a sense of duty ebbed and flowed through her urging her to find the objects. Rising slowly, Katerine headed back toward the stairs on shaky legs. She was still trying to puzzle out the meaning behind the shadows and the crying Tower.

What has the Tower symbolized before? Normally it means the Aymerlin. Okay, so the Mother is crying about something to do with the shadows. What could she possibly have that would be of any interest with the shadows? Sisters? No, that's not right. It's a personal connection. A warder? Last time I knew she didn't have one, but maybe that is what it is. Why would her warder be with shadows though?
