Earendil chuckled softly. "Yes."

For his other questions, he was probably going to have to wait to talk to Donovan.

They spent a few hours in the courtyard like that, sitting and talking and enjoying the tea, but all too soon it was time to clean up and get ready for the beach. Leyenda and Kelirahc would be taking Miyuki down, so Earendil and Lin would have the opportunity to walk down there themselves; so while Lin changed her clothes, Earendil picked up the lunch from the kitchen, and waited for her at the front door of the castle.

Earendil had the basket of food and was sitting down, waiting for Lin. He smiled when he saw her, and stood up. "All set?" he asked.

It would be quite a walk down to the beach, at least an hour, he was sure, but he was looking forward to it.

Earendil linked arms with Lin and smiled warmly at her.

"Indeed," he nodded.

As they started walking, he gazed ahead of them and murmured, "Lin ... have you given any thought to where you might like to someday settle down? Anyt area that calls out to you more than another?"

He didn't want them to be making decisions just yet, but it was good to discuss these sorts of things before the decisions had to be made.

Earendil chuckled softly. "Even with the intense winters they have?" he teased her. He smiled warmly. "Though I do have to agree, of all the places I've been, I do like it there the best. The people, the attitude, the weather ... it's all very pleasant."

He paused for a moment, then added, "When they're not tormenting you, that is."

Thinking of Ulrich and Donovan in particular.

He grinned. "And Daeron is there."

"And everyone," Earendil smiled. He squeezed Lin's hand. "I think it's about as good as it can get. And it's not like that's it ... traveling is always an option."

They could be nomadic, like Leyenda and Kelirahc, or casual travelers, like Serenity and Beren. There were no rules. They could do what they wanted, however and whenever they pleased.

"No kidding," Earendil quipped. He held up one hand and began to count them off. "The Westland, Northland, Human Southland, all the places in between, not to mention who knows how many more islands there are out there, or perhaps even another continent!"

He chuckled softly. "I'm sorry. I think I'm getting away with myself."

"It was," Earendil nodded. "It just seems that one thing after another keeps getting in the way. Or rather, postponing it. I mean ... these trips out here, they're good, right?" He smiled at her. "Always one adventure after another."
