"You're probably right." Mike said with a little laugh at Sabrina's comment. "You're obviously a Gym Leader for a reason." Mike imagined that Sabrina had a whole slew of ridiculously powerful Pokemon, just like Flannery did. That Torkoal, my god. You wouldn't think something that looked so dopey was so strong.
Mike snapped back down to Earth when Nina mentioned her willingness to help train Beacon. "Let's see..." he thought about it. Whenever Blaine was coming back he was going to bring Proton with him, so his team wouldn't be devoid of an Electric type, and as far as he knew Nina had yet to capture one. A little time with someone else might do him some good, and Beacon already liked Nina. Seeing as Nina and Sabrina were attached at the hip, she would most likely help out with training, too. Not to mention, two psychics would probably be the best bet at figuring out what makes the little...um...(sheep?) tick.
Mike snapped his fingers. "You know what Nina, you got a deal." Mike grabbed the Pokemon's Ultra Ball and handed it to his friend. "Just make sure to give me some updates and be careful with him. He responds best to really gentle encouragement and if he gets really out of control, just hold his hand. I don't know why, but it's like magic. His brain just shuts off and he forgets about whatever just happened." The more he talked about Beacon the more he wondered if Nina knew what she was getting herself into. Now she'd have two stupid Pokemon. Mike chuckled quietly. "But yeah, that will actually help me out a lot! Thanks!"

Nina smiled from ear to ear. "I promise, I'll take good care of him!" she replied, taking the Ultra Ball that contained Beacon and handling it very carefully, as if one false move could cause it to shatter. She affixed the ball to her belt; it was nice to see a new addition to her team, even if it was only temporary. "And I promise," she continued, "that I'll update you regularly. I'll let you know how his training is going, and how he's doing, and all of that good stuff. And Sabrina's gonna be helping me train him too, so you've got twice as much help!"
Sabrina nodded. "Mm-hmm. I'm not going to promise you any particular results, however. I'm not going to say that I'll have him completely tapped into his potential; the only thing that I will promise you is that I will try my best to make him a better Pokemon. I think I'll try the same training regimen with Beacon as I've done with Oracle."
"Uh, is that possible? I mean, Oracle is kind of... I don't know. A Psychic-type Pokemon, with abilities that differ from Beacon. Plus, Oracle is an ungodly genius."
"What, so you're saying that Beacon is dumb?"
"Don't put words in my mouth. I'm just saying that Oracle comprehends things differently than Beacon would."
"Mm, I'm still picking up on the fact that you're calling him dumb."
"Shut your face."
"Shut your face."
"a**."
"Jerk."
"b***h."
"Ignoramus."
"Zombie."
"Nutcase."
Anna rolled her eyes and chuckled as the girls continued trading insults. It was oddly comforting to see that again. "I promise you, Mike," she said, "that I'll keep an eye on Beacon and help him, too. He's in good hands."

Mike blinked a few times at Nina and Sabrina's little trade of words. They're related alright. he said with a roll of his eyes. "Ladies! Calm down!" he said, holding up his hands. "I think we can all agree on two things. One: Beacon is a little lacking in the intelligence department. And two," he paused, looking at Sabrina. "That I'm a much bigger nutcase than Nina is-HA HA HA HA!" he cut his laugh short and cleared his throat. "Thank you Anna. I know I can count on all three of you to give Beacon a solid workout." He picked up his two other Pokeballs and pocketed them. "Now why don't we all go into the arena and relax, let some of out Pokemon out for some air, all that jazz?"
Mike exited the lab and stepped back into the Gym. He took in a deep breath of that fantastic volcanic air and let out a soft exhale. Heaven. Mike hopped down onto the actual gym arena and released his Omanyte: Camerae. Mike laid down next to the little shellfish and gave its rocky shell a light pat. "How you doin', little guy?" Camerae gurgled in reply, which Mike could only assume meant good. "I wonder when you're gonna evolve." he said mostly to himself. "I've heard Omastar are absolutely nasty powerful. Spikes everywhere. Sounds like a blast."
The Omanyte looked on in confusion as his trainer spoke, but he couldn't help but feel that the name 'Omastar' rang a bell.

As he fell Eraku felt alot of things going through his head. Moments of his life flashing before his eyes. The day he first rode of his dad's Fearow, the day his parents gave him the egg that had Hurricane in it. They told that if he took real good care of it he could have what was inside. And then he remembered the day his parents went out and never came back. All these vision flashing through his mind and with that last one he jerked awake suddenly and saw the ground rapidly approaching. He winced as he knew this had to be it when suddenly he felt a great tug on his back and was hovering only a few dozen feet above a nearby building. He looked up to see that the pidegot had caught him in the nick of time. With a sigh of relief he signaled to go down.

"Ah si si, that's a much better plan. I've not been around la Montña Lunar in a long time so I don't remember...but if you say there's a center there then we shall go! Vamonos!" Carlos said in a big voice full of vigor, adjusting his sombrero and poncho one moment then grabbing Train's hand and pulling her along as he made a mad dash in the direction of Mt. Moon. He was excited to move on, on through Mt. Moon and onto Cerulean. Once there he'd be able to witness a gym battle with his new friend, and be one step closer to his next destination. Johtoh, a region full of legend and turmoil, even the origin of the legendary beasts is drawn from a tale of sorrow involving the loss of life ending in the resurrection of the unfortunate souls by the mighty Ho-oh. Truly a place of wonder that was sure to shed much light on his goal of discovering the secrets of the ancient world and the legendary pokemon that shaped it. Train seemed especially entranced with Suicune, perhaps they would be fortunate and actually get to lay eyes upon it. But all that was in the future, right now they still had to get past the mountain.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "You weren't able to save us. Why weren't you able to save us? I thought you were strong Shiro."
"...."
"I told you to be strong son. Why didn't you do as I asked?"
"I-I tried...I'm still trying"
"He's just to weak James. A weak scared little boy, so pathetic. So self absorbed. Couldn't even be bothered to answer his phone for anyone and grant a dying girl her last request. God what does that Riza girl think of you now? She can't possibly see anything in a useless fool like you. Now that red haired guy, he was so handsome and dreamy...and stronger than you."
"Shut up..."
"You'd better give it up son. Pretty soon you'll lose her to you weakness as well. You can't protect anyone you care about, better let her find herself a real man. You're a smart guy, you surely see how this will end right?"
"Shut up....Shut up shut up shut up..."
"What's wrong with your arm son? Why did you have to seal it so painfully for? Is something wrong?"
"No...it's nothing. An open would is a hindrance, it wasn't healing fast enough that's all."
"Hmm, no I don't think so Shiro. Say, it wasn't healing at all was it? Still bleeding yeah? Say...I think I know why. Shiro I think maybe you've got it. It didn't skip you did it? Even your genes are weak."
"It's nothing, I'm fine!"
"Awww is little Shiro losing his temper? When's the last time we got to see that? Tee hee hee, wasn't it when he was being picked on by those kids and all he did was sit there crying into his knees like a baby? Yeah I remember, so weak back then too! If I hadn't come along they never would have left you alone. Imagine that, having to be rescued by a weak little girl, so mad you yelled at me and ran away. If you had stood your ground back then or at least accepted my help I wouldn't have had to chase you into the woods and had that accident...."
"Leave me alone...you're not Ayane...you're not my father. You're both dead...Shut up shut up shut up.."
"Oh I didn't know that. Must have been after I died. Is that how you honored me and got stronger? Crying and letting your friends get hurt?"
"N-no...I didn't mean for i-"
"Not taking responsibility? How dare you, it's your fault this happened to me. I wasn't always in a wheel chair you know Shiro. It's all your fault. You couldn't save me then and you couldn't save me this time either. It's all your fault. It's all your fault."
"It's all your fault. It's all your fault. It's all your fault!"
"No...it's not my fault..It's not my fault...I did everything I could I swear...LEAVE ME ALONE!" Crenu shouted as he fell to his knees, clutching his head as tears streamed down from his eyes. The voices were gone now, his head had cleared up. Crenu looked around him, he noticed he was covered in sweat and being looked at by a bunch of people who had stopped their busy days just to view this spectacle as if it was a street performance. Getting up slowly Crenu wiped the tears from his eyes, stopping them from flowing now as he regained his composure once more. Just as some of the crowd started to disperse and one person stepped forward to ask if he was alright, Crenu started to spring away, he didn't want anyone to see anymore. He didn't want their help or pity. He was fine, that was...that was...nothing. The heat. The pain in his arm. Stress can cause hallucinations, perfectly normal. Nothing to worry about or even acknowledge. No, it never happened. But the words of his father and his friend drilled into him further and further, echoing in his mind. Pretty soon Crenu couldn't think again, and he started running faster and faster, they wouldn't leave him alone. The ghosts were chasing him, chanting their words, blaming him for his weakness. It was his fault, he was weak, he was a failure. They were right...no no they weren't! He had to outrun them, he had to just leave them behind. He had to keep running, but they were faster than him! Crenu ran, and ran, and ran across Saffron, indecently heading north and before he knew it he ran right past Riza. He stopped almost instantly right in front of her, almost falling over from the momentum, turning to face her and panting hard with tears in his eyes once more with a face that showed great pain. He just stared at her for a moment before throwing his arms around her, holding her tightly against his body. "It's my fault...I couldn't save them...I was to pathetic..to weak...It's my fault..."

Nina and Sabrina stopped insulting one another; "Sorry, Mike. We have a tendency to get a bit carried away sometimes. " She paused as Mike commented on Beacon's intelligence. "And, well... I guess you're right. He certainly does leave something to be desired when it comes to his smarts. Maybe Sabrina's and my IQ will rub off on him from being around us so much! Hahahaha... ha." She laughed weakly at her comment, knowing full well that it probably wouldn't happen.
She, Sabrina, and Anna followed Mike into the arena; upon entering, Nina noticed a PC in the room. "Ah, can you guys hang on just a sec?" she asked, before making her way over to the computer. She input her login information, and unclipped Aphrodite's ball from her belt. I'm sorry, girl, she thought, but I just... don't know what to do with you. I'll figure something out. She placed the ball against the computer screen, and watched as it was absorbed into the machine; Aphrodite was now stored in her PC box. After logging out, Nina walked back to the group, noticing that Mike had let Camerae out of his ball; she smiled as she looked at the little Omanyte.
"Sorry about that," she commented; "I had to deposit Aphrodite into my box. Unfortunately, I just don't have a use for her at the moment. I've been trying to think of what she could potentially be used for, but I just keep drawing blanks. It's really disheartening for me to come to the realization that I just don't need her."
"Would you consider giving her to someone?" Sabrina inquired.
"I would, yes. I could ask around, maybe see if a friend would want her. And if all else fails, I could just give her to an adoption agency or something." Nina appeared to continue pondering her options for a moment or two. "I'll figure something out." The girl sat down next to Mike and Camerae, accompanied by Anna soon thereafter; Sabrina, on the other hand, looked at her full belt of Pokeballs and contemplated on which Pokemon she wanted to release.
Clearly, releasing Anastasia is out of the question, she thought. A smile then found its way to her lips; I've got it. Unclipping a Pokeball, she released what was inside. A relatively small, quadrupedal Pokemon appeared; it was sitting down. It had a rather rounded face, with a small, red gem on its forehead, very large ears, and one very long whisker on both sides of its face. A very slender body was accompanied by a tail that forked into two near the end.
Sabrina's smile only grew larger. "Nina, Anna, Mike, Camerae. This is a Pokemon that I acquired while I was presumed dead, but was acting as an understudy of Maorde's. She was just a baby when I got her, but I have trained her well from adolescence into adulthood; I would like you all to meet my Espeon, Felicia."
Felicia stood up, looking quizzically from Nina to Mike, and then to their corresponding Pokemon. After deeming them all to be friendly, she approached the group, heading in Mike and Camerae's direction first. She sniffed the smaller Pokemon's shell, before backing up and lying on her stomach, playfully pawing at the Omanyte.

Riza hadn't gone very far out of Saffron City when someone rushed right past her, and it took a few moments for her to realize it was Crenu. He wasn't looking like his normally, calm self and Riza couldn't help but tremble a bit at the fear-stricken expression he wore. "Shiro, what's wrong?" she started to ask, but couldn't finish as suddenly he'd wrapped his arms around her so tightly that it almost knocked the wind out of her. She could feel him shaking, and he was muttering something over and over again, and she also realized his jacket was missing. "What are you talking about?" she asked, managing to free her arms enough to wrap them around him. "What happened? Shiro, you've got to calm down. Talk to me," she said, trying to keep her voice gentle. "It's all right, I'm here now." * * * * * Miles struck a bit of a pose once the Water Spout had finished raining down around them, looking amused by the fact that the water made Genki very uncomfortable. The Monferno shook some of the water from his fur and hopped up and down a bit, both impressed and annoyed with his training partner's tactics. On the sidelines Katie was giggling like crazy, and she couldn't help but love the way Miles planned things out. He was a very intelligent Buizel, that was certain. "Okay Miles, let's give your Swift a try," she called out, knowing that Genki would have a hard time dodging this one.
Miles jumped high in the air and did a spin, his twin tails cutting through the air and leaving a trail of golden stars that quickly started speeding towards the Monferno. This time, however, Genki knew just what to do and he jumped back before opening his mouth. The flame on his tail flared up brightly as he unleashed a powerful Flamethrower straight into the oncoming stars, causing them to detonate as they made contact with the intense heat. It was the Monferno's turn to grin, and he clapped his hand and waved his tail around, beckoning for Miles to try again.

Mazarin jumped slightly when Junko slammed her fist on the table. Out of fright, he squeezed his smoothie so hard that it splattered out of the cup and onto his face. He shivered a bit, and Banette took care of the clean up. He unzipped his mouth and engulfed his trainer's head. Despite Mazarin's constant screams, until all the blueberry smoothie was cleaned up, Banette wouldn't move. Free from his Pokemon, Mazarin's eyes were wide with fear. There were horrors I can't even fathom within him... he thought. "Don't do that again," he said to his Pokemon.
"What's the big deal?" Mazarin asked her, "Y'know, about Ecruteak?" He was probably in for a massive s**t storm, but he was ready for it.

Giovanni listened to Macabre's explanation of what he had accomplished at the Sprout Tower. "You have access to my base in Mahogany Town," he said simply, "Beneath the shop, of course. You know the one. Take her there, along with your Grunts. Don't bother with the helicopter, Mahogany is close enough. Be subtle about it, if you would. I've garnered enough attention here."
Giovanni climbed up the ladder with relative ease, and put his pipe back in his teeth. "Let's get going. Proton! Leo!" He barked, motioning for them to follow him. "Enjoy your company, Macabre," he paused and looked back down the hole, "The ladder is yours, by the way." With that, he walked with the three men out of the Tower and towards their copter. Petrel ran over to help Proton with the Relic, taking it onto their helicopter. "Leo," Giovanni began. He knew that he had some sort of feeling for Mai and he couldn't have that, no no no. "I want you to begin the search for the third relic in Hoenn. If you would kindly," he pointed at the copter that Macabre had arrived on. "Take that one, along with some grunts."
"Let's go," With everyone on board, Giovanni waved so long to Leo. "Good luck!" he laughed as the copter took off into the sky.

Crenu said nothing at first, he just held her. When she freed herself enough to hug him as well he started to calm down, it was a nice feeling. It was safe. The ghosts vanished again, he could hear nothing. His breathing regulated, his pulse slowed down, his trebling started to vanish. "...Riza..." He pulled back a bit, enough to look at her. It was true....wasn't it? He wouldn't be able to save her either. He wasn't strong enough. What was he doing here, looking to her for comfort and crying like a child. This is exactly what they were talking about. He was crying when his father went, crying before Ayane's accident...he was being weak each and every time something went wrong, everything fell apart because he was failing to live up to standards that were expected of him. Taking a few deep breaths he let go of Riza, pulling away from her and turning his back to her. "...It's nothing." He was still trembling a little, but it was hard to notice if you weren't looking for it. He wiped away the tears in his eyes again and regained his demeanor. "It's hot. And I haven't eaten in a while, my mind wasn't right. Nothing to worry about." He said softly, starting to head north again.

Junko was too busy staring intently at the television to notice Mazarin and Banette's antics. She snapped out of her semi-trance when the boy questioned her about Ecruteak. The girl quickly swung her head around to face him and she shot daggers from her eyes. "Ecruteak is my home town!" she informed him in a yell. Junko whipped her hand to knock off some of the smoothie that covered her glove and she thought for a moment. The pigtailed hair girl then grabbed her partner by his skull face and dashed towards the exit of the center. "I'm going to find out what they're doing there!" she called out as she ran, almost knocking a few girls over.
~~~~ Jomei approached the blue slug looking Pokemon cautiously. He could only assume that it was a Water Type from its color, but then you can never be too sure about Pokemon. He crouched down next to it and they stared into each other's eyes for a bit of time. "So, uh your name is Reginold huh? ...Weird name. Um, what are you exactly?" he asked the thing almost as if he truly expected an answer. The Pokemon made a sound that Jomei could only describe as the sound you would hear if you put your hand into a huge bowl full of real eyeballs. His whole body twitched at the noise the new Pokemon emitted and he almost felt a bit nauseous as he imagined himself swirling his fingers around in a container full of optical organs. He covered his mouth with one hand and tried to push the thought from his mind. "Ugh, whatever. I'm sure someone at the Pokemon Center will know what you are." he said, returning the creature to its Great Ball. Jomei turned around to face Pizza who was still cowering at a distance. "It's back in its ball now, so you can stop crying like a baby." he told the Pokemon with a laugh. "Let's go, Junko's already gunna be pissed."
Pizza wasn't crying. He was just, y'know, keeping watch of things... He scowled at the back of his trainer's head as the boy continued on toward Goldenrod. The Fire Type dashed after him and climbed skillfully up the boy's leg, then up his arm and on to his shoulder. Now was a good time for another nap. The Cyndaquil yawned and closed his eyes while riding comfortably back to the city.
"Don't let up, Chimchar!" Kilik called, watching the battle from the corner of his eye. "Go for his face!" Panting, the ape jumped up and landed on the behemoth's face, clenching his little fists. He very well could be eaten alive at this moment. After all, he was playing with what could very well be Kilik's most powerful Pokemon. He reared his fists back and slammed them right into Aggron's eyes with a Brick Break attack. Bad idea. Roaring in pain, Aggron grabbed Chimchar in his fist and clenched tightly, roaring in the little ape's face. He sneered as the Pokemon tried to get free, and then threw him into the dirt. Chimchar was out cold. "Aggron!!" Kilik roared, running over. He scooped up the unconcious Chimchar and recalled him into his Pokeball, clipping it to his belt. He whistled and recalled Treecko and Drifloon as well. Then he turned back to his Aggron and sighed.
"You can't do that!" he slammed his fist against the behemoth's chest, groaning. "Let's go," he said, turning towards Floaroma Town. Aggron reached out to Kilik, placing his hand on the boy's shoulder. He was actually very sorry, a low growl emitting from his throat. The boy stopped and looked over his shoulder, smiling a bit. "Though I can't have you stomping around in the Pokemon Center. Get back in your ball, and we'll resume training in a while." He recalled Aggron into his Great Ball and slipped his hands into his pockets. "That beast will never learn," he turned and began walking towards the Pokemon Center. I wonder what Chimchar will think of me after I heal him, he thought, Probably hate me because I can't take proper care of him.
He entered the air conditioned building and let out another sigh. As he handed off his Pokemon to Nurse Joy, he leaned against the counter. "Not gonna go running off this time, Nurse Joy. I promise," he laughed as she left with a giggle, then he turned his attention to the television. It was a news report about a Team Rocket invasion of Ecruteak City, flashing images of two helicopters in front of the Burned Tower. He could see that familiar orange suit walking along the ground and he growled to himself. Team Rocket!? he clenched his fists, What on earth would they want in Ecruteak? More importantly, what would be in the Burned Tower that would be of any interest to them? He was certain he'd hear more about it soon enough.
-*-
"Your home?!" Mazarin stood up quickly when she started to run out of the Pokemon Center. He looked up at the television and noticed the news once more, and that Team Rocket was leaving the town, two choppers flying up into the air. "Excuse her, sorry, pardon me!" he began to swerve in and out of people, Banette floating close behind. "Excuse me!" he slid through a group of people and then stopped. "Call me," he grabbed a girl and planted a wet kiss on her lips, then started running again. "JUNKO!" he called out, shoving a dude to the ground. He couldn't blame her for her urge to protect her town. After all, if someone was attacking Verdanturf, they could rest assured that ol' Mazarin would be there to save the day! That is, if Kilik didn't already get there.
He finally caught up to her, running alongside the girl. "Do you know what you're getting into?" He jumped over a log in the road that led to the National Park, "Team Rocket is pretty tough, Junko! You might just end up hurting yourself!" He looked over at Banette, who wholeheartedly agreed. "Even the stronger trainers I know can't handle Team Rocket. And they already took off! But if you wanna keep running," he took a deep breath, "Then it's pretty good exercise, I guess whatever." Stupid girls.
"Are you sure you have everything, Jett?" Jett's mother, Alice, asked for the fifth time. Jett swiftly swept through his backpack, checking items, and nodded once. "Well, are you going to go to Littleroot to get a Pokedex?"
"No," the boy replied thoughtfully, zipping up his backpack. "I'd rather wait a while. I want to reach the woods before it gets dark..." There was a glance cast out the window, checking to see the sun still hanging high in the sky. No problem about time there.
"If River faints, I want you to get to a Pokemon Center right away--"
"Yes, of course," Jett said with an air of disinterest. He was rather anxious to get out and start his own adventure now. "I'll call you when I get to Rustboro. Tell Dad I said bye. Don't worry about me. I'll be fine." The teenager smiled at the sight of his mother's worried glance, and he gave her a swift hug. "Bye!"
Jett was out the door immediately, tossing his Pokeball into the air. It burst open, revealing River, who landed gently. She offered Jett a small smile, which was returned in kind. She knew he was as anxious as her, but he wasn't willing to show it.
River only wished that her friend was just as scared as she was.
Junko slowed her running pace when Mazarin had caught up to her. She came to a complete stop when he mentioned that Team Rocket had already left her town. The girl bit her bottom lip and studied the ground, releasing the poor Duskull from her clutches. "Oh, really?" she looked up at him and put on a smile. "Ahahah, I guess you're right... What could I do anyway? With only a low level Duskull and Tentacool." she began to feel really dumb, but was relieved to hear that the gang had left Ecruteak. "I wonder what they were doing there anyway?" she sighed.
Hades loomed close to his trainer, still a bit confused as to what was going on but he knew she was upset. He wrapped his ghostly arms around one of hers.
"HEY YOU!" a somewhat annoyed voice rang out suddenly. "What are you doing with my sister!?"
It was Jomei. He appeared out of nowhere with a scowl. His face was red from running in the hot sun and he was trying to catch his breath. He could have spotted his twin from a mile away and as if he had some sort of super vision he had also spotted an unfamiliar figure with silver hair standing next to her. His overprotective senses had tingled and in a flash he arrived to shelter the girl from other boys.
The boy's sudden sprint had awoken Pizza from his nap and the Cyndaquil wondered why he even bothered to try and get some shut eye. He noticed two familiar figures in the distance and he immediately darted over to them. "quiiiilll!" he shouted with glee at the girl and Duskull, hugging one of her red shoes.
Junko picked up the Fire Type and hugged him close. Hades, feeling a little left out joined in and they shared a group hug. The girl then looked over to her angry brother who was gasping for air and wiping the sweat from his brow with one arm, while clutching what looked to be a Pokemon egg with his other.
"Oh. Took you long enough." she said to him with a glare.
Kasiya had been staring out the window, her mind completely blank save for the occasional realization that she was already leaving Sinnoh. She felt a little sad that she hadn't gotten a chance to explore it more, but chances were good that it would still be there when all this was over. She looked over at Blaine as he asked them to tell him about themselves, and she was surprised to find that she wasn't sure what to say. She listened to both Sasha and Mitsu quietly before looking over at Keegan. She wasn't even sure if he was paying attention at all, so she took that as a hint that it was her turn. She cleared her throat and wrung her hands together a bit in her lap, still not sure why she felt so nervous. "Uh, well, my name is Kasiya DeLuca and I'm from Vermilion City. I'm a Pokemon trainer too, and I'm also trying to collect badges from my home region. I currently have six," she said, her gaze turning towards the Cinnabar Gym Leader, and she wondered if he'd understand what she was getting at. If not, she figured he'd get the idea when she finally did get around to challenging him, and she continued on, feeling a little more comfortable now that she had found her voice. "My first Pokemon was an Eevee that hatched from an egg that was given to me by my dad, Lt Surge." She stopped there, figuring she'd said enough, and she looked over at Keegan and nudged him sharply with her elbow to jolt him out of the stupor he was in. "Your turn," she whispered with a slight giggle.
=-=-=-=-= Leo remained silent as Proton made sure the relic was bound tightly in the rope, grabbing his jacket and throwing it back on before heading over to help the other admin lift it up and out of the hole. Very few words, if not none at all, were exchanged between Leo and Proton as they carefully brought the relic up the ladder, their unspoken cooperation working well for the both of them. It wasn't that Leo didn't like Proton, it was just that he wasn't much for smalltalk. He'd been trained to work silently and swiftly, and this was something he excelled at and was one of the primary reasons he held the position he had now.
He'd been staring off into the distance when he heard Giovanni call his name, and he quickly turned to face his boss. He nodded silently as he received his orders, though he didn't care for the tone of voice and expressions being used. While he knew it was a very important task that had been set down before him, he couldn't help but feel that Giovanni wanted him as far away from Viridian and their main base as possible. "Yes sir," he answered, watching the orange-clad man step into his own helicopter, though he remained rooted to the spot until the aircraft was out of sight. He knew that Giovanni didn't approve of his feelings for Mai and this was probably the reason for him being sent off to Hoenn as Mai rarely had business in that region, even if she were to return from Sinnoh. He signaled to his squad members to follow him as he boarded the helicopter. "Rustboro City," he barked at the pilot once they were all seated. He hadn't wanted to go back to Hoenn any time soon, but he would not disobey a direct order from Giovanni.
Mike rolled over at the sudden appearance of the Espeon, taking a quick glance in its direction. "Nice." he commented. "For about five minutes, I considered getting an Umbreon. Now I just really want a Flareon. I know, right? Big surprise!" He waved his hands wildly. "They'd be like a huge fiery pillow, it'd be awesome! Maybe I can get Kilik to give me his..." His lips curled into a sinister smile. "Or maybe...heeheehee!"
Camerae's saucer-like eyes became fixed on the Felicia as she playfully swiped at him. Each time her paws came closer, and closer, until a single hair from the tip of her paw grazed the side of the Pokemon's squishy tentacle. Camerae immediately withdrew into his shell. He did so quickly that for the briefest of moments, the shell was in the air, before hitting the ground with a clack.
Mike snorted at his silly Pokemon. "Don't worry, dude. If she wanted to hurt you she would have by now. Trust me. Eevolutions don't mess around." he yawned. Thanks to Milo, his sleep schedule had been all messed up. Stupid evil alter ego making me afraid to go to sleep. I hate you.
