Jaeshan was a bit annoyed to see that the rainfall hadn't quite ceased yet as he neared Nugget Bridge. He hoped they wouldn't ask him to battle again, for he really wasn't up to it. Although, a rather shocking sight fell upon him as he approached the bridge. A girl with a walking stick and a straw hat had just been challenged by the hulk of a boy Jaeshan had lost to yesterday. He was amazed when he saw her set down a tiny pink Clefairy, and order her to start singing. He quickly covered his own ears as he neared the battle scene, only to see the bulky young man topple over, snoring soundly. She recalled the Clefairy, and started to run. Jaeshan arched an eyebrow. Seldom did people get their Pokemon to directly attack humans. Intrigued, he reached into his pocket for a Pokeball, and a few seconds later, Butterfree was flittering next to him. "Keep her in your sights," he told the eager butterfly, and she took to the rainy skies above, her wings silently keeping her airborne. He started to follow them at a slow jog, wondering what prompted such behaviour from this young trainer.

Jenna dashed along the side of the river, headed to where she had last seen the lost man on the other side. As she ran, guilty thoughts tried to flutter into her mind over her treatment of the karate trainer, but she pushed them aside. I did what I had to do...this is more important than a pokemon battle...she kept telling herself. As she neared the area where she had last seen the man, she slowed down to catch her breath, then hollered for him, hoping he would hear over the pattering rain and rushing water.
"HEY! I"M HERE! WHERE ARE YOU!?"

Where is this girl running off to? Jaeshan asked himself, trying not to slip on the wet grass. Butterfree was out of sight now, probably on the other side of the river. She seems to be looking for someone, he thought. Maybe they need help.

"Excuse me, miss?" he called out to her. "Is there anything I can do to help?"

Jenn whirled around at the sound of his voice and nearly lost her balance on the wet grass. Catching herself with her walking stick, she gave the boy a surprised look.
"I'm looking for someone who's lost on this side of the river. His hoothoot came to the pokemon center in Pewter City and I've been wandering outside now for a while looking for him. I saw him on this side of the river, I was over there," she motioned with an arm, "and came this way. Those stupid goons on the bridge got in my way, so I put thier leader to sleep....Where am I, anyways? I thought nugget bridge was near Cerulean City?" Jenna finished in a rush. She smiled at the boy. "My name's Jenna, by the way, and yes, I always talk this much."

Jaeshan blinked a few times, and chuckled. "My name is Jaeshan," he nodded. "You've come a long way, that's for sure." He looked around, taking in the area. "You're right near Cerulean City, it's only about a fifteen minute walk that way," he pointed. "But either way, we should probably find this trainer you're talking about, and get the lot of you back to the Pokemon Center in the city." He gave a shrill whistle. "We'll give you a hand. After all," Butterfree came flittering back over to him, "four eyes are better than two, and Butterfree's Compoundeyes are even better than that."

Kilik gulped and left the train station. The boy looked around for the Gym. When he came upon the large wooden building, he froze in front of the entrance. "Well...this is it. The day my life changes." He stepped inside.

The figure stepped out of the shadows, and Kasiya breathed a sigh of relief. It's not him, she thought. The man was somewhat elderly, and looked slightly confused. "Is there any way I can help you, sir?" Kasiya asked politely, picking up Seto again.

"Uh...y-yes," he stammered. "I-I just arrived here from Johto, and I-I think I'm lost," he admitted. "Do you th-think you could direct me to the Pokemon Center?"

Kasiya looked back at Ryka and smiled. "We could bring you there," she said. "It's really not far from here."

"O-oh," he said, looking around almost nervously, "I'd feel better if you escorted me," he said, not looking at Ryka. "I know that you're the daughter of the gym leader here, and I would feel much better knowing you were with me."

"Uh, alright," Kasiya blinked, and turned to Ryka. "Well, this shouldn't take too long. My friends are at the pizza place just around the corner - you can't miss it, there's a Steelix outside. Just tell them you're with me, and that I'll be back soon, okay?" She gently petted Aura and Thunder. "Then I promise I'll show you around Vermilion." She smiled, and nodded to the gentleman. "Alright, this way, Sir."

"Oh thank you," the man said, looking relieved. "I-I'm sorry to burden you," he said apologetically.

"It's no problem," Kasiya smiled. "I grew up in Vermilion, and I'm always eager to help people out."

"Meowth," Seto said, almost annoyed. Roughly translated: Dere's something fishy about dis guy.

A few minutes later, they arrived outside the Pokemon Center. Kasiya stopped. "Here we are," she said, glancing back towards the restaurant. I'd better get back, she thought. I don't want anyone to worry about me.

"Oh no!" the gentleman cried. "I-I can't believe this!"

"What's the matter?" Kasiya asked, concerned.

"I-I've l-lost my P-Pokeball!" he stammered, close to tears. "M-my beloved Electrike was in there!" He covered his face with his hands.

"That's terrible," Kasiya cried, wondering what she'd do if she lost one of her Pokemon. "Do you know where you may have lost him?"

The man stopped to think. "Come to think of it, I had a bit of a run-in with a young lady as I was getting off the train. I may have dropped him then."

"Well, if you go back to the train station, one of the attendants probably found him, or he was turned in," Kasiya suggested, taking another wayward glance back towards her friends.

"I could never find my way," he said, and Kasiya refrained from groaning.

"I can take you," she said. "We'll get your Pokemon back."

"Thank you, lass," he said, his eyes grateful. "You surely are a godsend."

Kasiya smiled. I only wish someone else would see me that way, she sighed, as they headed towards the train station.

((Yay it's Willow! We're still at the restaurant, and Kasiya got all flustered talking to Mike, and ran off, so now she's met up with Ryka, and the last few posts basically tell what's going on, it's been slow the last few days, so you haven't missed much))

As they headed in the direction of the train station, Seto seemed to get uncomfortable. Kasiya finally set him down on the ground, and he doddled behind a bit. Kasiya watched him, wondering what was up with him.

"Almost there," she said to the man reassuringly. "We'll have your Electrike back in no time." She smiled and continued walking.

It's always nice to help out tourists, she thought. It's my good deed for this year. I hope we can find his Pokemon. It would be a shame for him to go back home to Johto without it... her thoughts trailed off as she realized something. Wait, Electrike are native to Hoenn, and he said he's from Johto. That's a bit odd. She sighed, wondering if she could question it or not.

"So you're from Johto?" she asked, breaking the silence.

"Yes," the man said. "I'm from Violet City."

"That's neat." She paused. "So you have an Electrike? Those are native to Hoenn. Have you been to Hoenn too?" she asked finally.

The man said nothing, only looked away.

"Sir?" Kasiya asked, stopping. "Am I upsetting you?"

He had his back to her know, his hand up to his face again. He seemed to be muttering. "....roger." He turned back to her, and Kasiya gasped. A chunk of his face seemed to have melted away.

"Um...sir? There's....something wrong with your face...." she said, trying not to point.

"Uh oh," he said, looking around nervously. "Looks like the cat's out of the bag." He spun around a few times, and his disguise was soon gone. "No matter. It's not going to disrupt our plans any." He now wore black slacks and a black shirt, marked with a big, red R.

Kasiya gasped. "Team Rocket!"

"You sure catch on quick," he smirked at her. "But, unfortunately, not quick enough. NOW!"

Within seconds, Kasiya and Seto were surrounded by several smirking grunts. "Oh crap," was all she could say.

Mitsu rubbed her eyes still half asleep. She blinked a couple of times, it was already brood daylight. Perhaps around lunch time. She yawned and gathered her things, stuffing them into her pack carelessly. Upon arriving at the river she splashed the cold water in her face now fully awake. Mike haad yet to arrive. "I think I'll go polish off those trainers in the gym that way they won't be in the way when i reach Wattson." She gathered her things, putting the pack around her waist and headed off towards the Mauville gym.
