Koho smiled, entering into the sunlight with the hope that her lovely little cubs were still napping the way she had left them moments ago. She was just in time to hear the end of Jasiri's speech to her young, slipping over behind the young mother and tapping her on the shoulder with her pale tail. "Don't worry my darling girl, they will be fine. Every lioness in the pridelands is looking out for them!" A soft smile spread across the ageing mother's lips, memories of year's ago, when she had first taken in Sukutu, slipping into her mind. "My they are gorgeous, just like their mother and father..." A grandmother, already! And she just had her first biological cubs too! "I hope you cublets don't mind if I steal your mother while you play..." She needed to catch up with her daughter-in-law, the cubs of both had stolen them from the social atmosphere of the Pridelands, and now that they were all growing, it was time to sink back into the small luxuries in life.

Chakaleti grinned her glistening teeth wide to her mother in an innocent smile. A sparkle lit her eyes as Grandma Koho distracted her mother, and at such a convinient time too! The little brown girl nodded to all of Jasiri's rules, and preparing to ignore every one of them! "Yeah mom! We'll be careful, it's just the Pridelands! What could happen..." She laughed a little, pearly whites sparkling in the sun as her tail whipped the rock wickedly. Her attention was diverted to her brother in an instant, her natural curiosity and sense of adventure taking a death hold on her. "Runts! It's not like you're some kind of king yourself!" That was all the little girl needed to send her back legs into a crouch and bounce like a spring into her larger brother. Chakaleti was small, it was true, but she had just as much spunk as two of her siblings combined. Landing in her brother's soft fur, she quickly set to pinning him, though that was no small feat for a small lioness such as herself.

Jasiri grinned and spun around, recognizeing the friendly voice as Koho's. "I know I know, its just, they grew up so fast." She said, her eyes grazing back towards her cubs. Her attention quickly snaped back to Koho as she spoke again. "Yes, they are beatiful, I couldnt ask for a lovelyer bunch." Jasiri spoke, a serene smile playing across her lips. Koho made her feel calmer. She was older, and a great deal wiser than she, and yet she felt so at home when she was around her. "How are your cubs by the way? It feels like only awile ago when I first met Mwali and took him back to the pridelands." Some of those memories were fond, some not so fond, especially the thought of the harsh enviroment that was the Firekin lands.

"Well your younger than me, so that makes me the king of all of you, cept Kimba." He said, sticking his nose up a little and closeing his eyes at her. His eye closeing caused him to not anticipate the pounce, which caught him off gaurd and made him land in the soft grass with a 'oomf' "Hey!" He stuck out his paws pushed her off of him, quickly rolling off his back onto his feet incase Chak decided to make another move at him.

Koho smiled again, that serene and calm smile she had adopted long ago, when she had needed to prove to all that she could handle the duties she had been assigned with dignity, despite her screaming emotions inside. "They did grow fast... They all do... I remember when you first came to the pride, as a little one, not much bigger than them..." A little laugh parted from the golden lioness's lips at the playful memories, of Jasi and Mwali frolicking in the grass. That brought the subject of her own cubs back to the forefront of her mind, sparing a glance into the darkness of the caved rocks, "They are resting now, still only little ones, though they are getting big too, just not quite as fast I'd say, or perhaps that's just me..." It felt like only a little while ago when she first laid her distrusting amber eyes on the red giant of a lion that had now stolen her heart, "That was an interesting day when you lot first appeared in our lands.... I'm terribly sorry about being so cold... I had no reason to be, you are a perfect fit to us here." To reemphasize that point, Koho gave Jasi's forehead a motherly kiss. "How has motherhood been treating you? When did you get back home anyway?"

Chak was just as glad that she had landed her brother on his back as she heard his next comment.. Always the older fact, such an annoyance! As he quickly pushed her away, she darted around him, her tail chasing her little head in a circle around her older brother, "If you're so much older and better, then why can a little cublet like me still take you down huh? And if you're so kingly, why don't you prove it!" She stopped her circling decisively infront of him, bapping at his face a little here and there to continue pestering. A mischevious idea was brewing in her mind, as she started thinking about the farthest away place she had heard of...

"Yes, I remember." she thought a moment of the past, her smile getting wider. "We were outsiders at the time, yes. You cant just automatically trust every lion that pops into the Pridelands, especially if there a Firekin, or a firekins friend." She let out a childish giggle at the lick, pawing at her forehead. She was glad she could be so realaxed around Koho. "There a wild bunch, ill give you that, but they can be little angels when they try. I love to just stay up and watch them sleep. There so peaceful. We actully got back not too long ago. I wanted the cubs to grow up in a safe enviroment, and the Pridelands seemed like the perfect place.

"I just wasnt ready, I could take you on anyday. I can take on anything." He sat down again, makeing sure his eyes were still wide open. "Go ahead, just try and attack me. Your just a girl, you cant beat me."

Koho nodded, "Yes, the pridelands is the safest place I can think of to raise a family... It's where I was raised and I want the same wonderful life for all of my cubs and all of my children's cubs..." Koho's gaze relaxed to take in the pridelands, including the brown splotches that represented Jasi's brood, "One advantage of Pride Rock is that you can watch any lion in the lands at any time... Without much exception." The lioness's thoughts slipped back to her own cubs, sleeping peacefully in their home, they were gorgeously peaceful while asleep, and wildly beautiful in their mischevious awakening. "It seems like we all have been away for a while, I can't even remember how it was that we got seperated in the Firekin lands... But the next thing I knew I was heading home, finding a den and taking care of cubs..." She laughed a little bit, it seemed so blurred in her memory, yet if she wanted to she could pick out every moment of her cubs' little lives so far, every blessed moment.... "Where is my Suku then?" A motherly smile warmed her features, amusement that her eldest was already a father....

"Yeah right! I bet you couldn't take on a hyena! Or... or... or a Firekin!" The little amythest eyes lit with a wickedly mischevious fire. She lunged once again at her brother, knowing he would likely deflect her off without trouble, which is why she actually lunged at a space just over her brother's shoulder... Clipping his shoulder with her powerful back leg, she landed with an 'oomph' and called back to him even as her back legs hit the grassy dirt again and start sprinting, "Betcha can't keep up though!" She was a fast little devil, but her small stature meant that her stride was lacking compared to the larger cub's. Her size however meant that as soon as she darted into the tall grass, the only way she could be seen was by the birds and the shifting grass. Her general direction? South.

User Image "Like I said...," Malik laughd out loud, flicking his tail high into the air as he continued his cocky strut for pride rock, "You couldn't do it because you're a girl."

"Ooh you were just lucky...," Rehema walked stiffly behind her cousin, her ears pinned back against her head, "A mouse isn't exactally a mighty kill anyway, they're all scampery and little and-""

"Obviously too fast for you." The golden cub teased, stopping and turning sharply to boast to the chocolate female's face.

"I... I... I....", she looked to either side then tossed her head up into the air, her eyes narrowing to help give her a sort of authority over Malik, "I didn't want to lower myself to YOUR level."

"You mean sucessful?" He flicked his tail behind him, giving Rehema a slanted smirk, "Some huntress you're turning out to be."

A good shot, the chocolate female stood dumbfounded for a minute, her mouth falling open as she watched her cousin prance a few paces ahead of her, "Well excuse me but you -are- older than me."

"So?"

User Image"Sooooo you've had a head start. That's cheating and you know that very well. She sprinted after him, launching herself at his back with a growl only to have him turn her 'suprise' attack completely around on her. In a blur of gold and red she was on her back with her cousin's paws pinning her shoulders to the ground, his snide and cocky grin beaming down on her.
"And I thought you were always up for a challange?"

"You cheated..."", she protested, pushing him off of her and rolling back to all fours.

"Whatever, I guess I had a head start on that one too..."

""Shut up..."", she rolled her eyes as they made their way up to the den.

Malik's eyes instantly lit up at the sight of the others around, soon supressed by the almost arrogent smile that he always seemed to take when around the others. He gave a final teasing glance towards his cousin before smoothely making his way into the den.

""Boys..." Rehema grunted.

User ImageKoho lifted a brow as the unmistakable sound of one of her brood met her listening ears. Malik sounded like he was bragging again.... Despite the biting temptation to pounce him with his new friend, perhaps embarass him a bit and try one more time to put him in his place, as soon as she spotted who he was with a smirking smile was replaced with simple delight. She simply adored Jasiri's cubs, and she loved the thought of their's forming friendships. They were the next generation of Pridelanders, and forming tight bonds would be essential to keeping the pride strong. Her watchful eyes examined their tumbling without too much worry. As he met up with the other two cubs from Jasiri's litter, Koho watched with interest. She loved watching cubs interract and play, perhaps that was why she was suited to her job in the pride. Inclining her head towards the small group, Koho smiled at Jasi, "Looks like our families get along fairly well...." She laughed a little, most wouldn't refer to tumble fighting as getting along, but Koho did, always, cubs tumbled with those they liked, fought with those they didn't. And yes there was a definate distinction.

User ImageAs two new lion scents met Chakaleti's nose on the wind, she smiled happily, stopping her sprinting and turning. "Guess who's coming!" Her attention slipped from her brother and grabbed onto her sister and friend. Malik's strut made the little cub's bright eyes roll, "Oh please.... What's inflated the big lion's ego today?" Her question was directed at Rehema, though her eyes didn't dare leave Malik unattended for more than a few moments... He was another one that she liked to tackle at random, and if at any moment he lowered his guard enough, she would most certainly "pounce" on the opportunity.

User Image"Hey! Wait up you guys!" Kiso whined a little and he sprinted up to the small gathering of lion cubs, his bright red pelt giving him away easily in the rich emerald grasses. As he approached his brother and friends, a little pebble grabbed onto his foot. This of course caused his stride to break and sent the poor red puff ball tumbling into the cub bodies. He was obviously still getting used to his new length of legs since his last growth spurt. "Oof!" After being stopped by a convinient body, that the little cub couldn't be sure of, he found himself looking up into the bright sky of the pridelands, and a bunch of cub faces, "Hey guys! Uh... what's up?"

((ah! it's attack of the pridelanders! *hides*))

Sukutu was busy looking after his disabled first born, not that Kimba couldn't look after himself, the older male just was so protective of his son sometimes.
Especially his little daughter's and second born, but because Kimba couldn't talk properly, it frightened the male.
The thought of not hearing his son in time made the lion keep up until he saw his mother and mate.
"Hello ladies." He called out.

Kimba practicly pounced on his 'grandmother's' tail, deep indigo eye's looking up at her lovingly before he look around.
Most of his family where around.
"Momma!" He called before running over to the brown lioness, tail still swinging hapilly from side to side as he stayed in his father's watching distance.
Smiling at his brother and sisters.

((psst, what's kimba's exact disability again? *so forgetful*

and also, you know what i was thinking about... because suku and koho's new litter are technically siblings, koho's kids are technically aunts and uncles of sukuxjasi's... not cousins.... creepy huh? i'm fine with using "cousin" though, because "uncle" just sounds wrong...))

User ImageKoho laughed delightedly as the little cub pounced her tail, dashing it around for his entertainment. Those little eyes were all she needed to remind her why she loved cubs so much. Though she was distracted by another voice just as lovable! "Suku, my son! I haven't seen you in ages!" She wanted nothing more than to stand and pounce that rascally lion, however her concern over Kimba and his happiness overpowered that childish instinct. As soon as that big brown puff ball came within distance however, Koho would have a few things for him...

In the meantime, Koho's amber eyes watched over the little Kimba, smiling at him whenever she caught his eye, and looking approvingly up at Jasiri, "He is a cutie m'dear." Koho had heard about the little one's problem with speaking, but if he kept to just short exclamations, you couldn't hardly tell.... The golden lioness tickled the cub's underbelly with her pale muzzle when he least expected it, "How are you today Kimba?" Maybe just a little sentence....

Zenoni snaped at his sister as she cliped his shoulder. "Oh its on!" He said, scampering off after his little sister. "When I get you your in for it!" He shouted in her direction. Which exactilly was her direction? He had soon lost her sent, and the tall grasses conceled her splendidly. Zenoni stopped for a second and growled, looking around for any sign of her. Finding none, he decided to keep going. He ran fast and hard until he was quite worn out. He came to the end of the grass and the border of the Pridelands, quite frusterated. His sister had outsmarted him, and he couldnt go back now, or she would make a show of it to the others. He paced back and fourth in thought. He glanced South. The grass soon became sand and he could see the heat rising from it. Thats it! He would go the Firekin and take on a Firekin and become a hero! That would show his sister. Now fully rested, he took off towards the Firekin, not looking back.

"Yes im very glad that they get along so well. They need to make friends when there young like this, it helps them grow and learn, and what better friends than there relatives!" Her head snaped to the direction of her mate and her young son. "Kimba my son!" As he bounded to her she scooped him up in her paws and gave him a lick on the head. She had to admit she did favor her son because of his illness, but he needed the attention. She placed him back at her feet, giving him a nuzzle. When Suku came up beside her, she half wisperd "Hows he doing love?" and then gave her mate a loving kiss on the cheek.

Tekeza nervously watched the crowd of cubs infront of her. She was safe, underneath a big leaf thing. All these cubs arguing made her nervous. She scanned the savvanh for any sign of something fun to do. She saw her mommy at once along with Suku and Jasi. She glanced out of her hiding place to make sure the others wouldnt notice her and invite her to play. She was never good at playing. She slowly made her way out, looking back and fourth, then quickly bounded to her mother. "Mummy." She said, nuzzleing her side happily. These were just grown-ups, they wouldnt embaresses her much. Then she saw Kimba out of the corner of her eye, and thinking him one of the others, she ducked behind her mommy's leg. She slowly peeked out, and noticed it was just Kimba. "Hello Kimba." She said a uneasy smile on her face.

User ImageMalik smirked a bit, eyeing Kimba from where he had paused to pose himself a bit. Ahh yes, little thing always got all the attention. Malik always found himself a bit jealous of anyone that had the spotlight when he felt he should be in it. Loved his 'cousin' but was jealous. "Ahh Kimmy-kim-kimba." He chuckled, slowly making his way over to where the younger cub was, "You know, yo' getting biggah..." He smiled a bit, lifting his head, "I bet you'd do real good wrestlin'. Gotta learn sometime ya' know... n' who bettah tah teach ya then ol' cousin Malik, eh?" He leaned forward a bit, "Drives the lionesses nuts tah see a male dat can take on da world. Can't go clingin' tah mums all da time."

User Image "OOh leave him alone you brute..." Rehema moved inbetween the two, shoving Malik back with a paw, "Just because YOU think you gotta shove people under you doesn't mean he does..."
