A halo of thorny vines ripped through the waves of Pokemon, scattering a glittering powder as it went. As the pokemon that were hit by the halo withdrew a few paces, thick foliage grew in front of them, wherever the powder fell. Hindering their progress did little good but perhaps it could buy the citizens some time?
Kaya descended into the city on Trojana's back, allowing the Hana Nagamaki to regain it's chosen form as he caught it. The staff was once again mounted to his back as he jumped off of his steel avian. With a smirk, he grabbed all five of his occupied Pokeballs and released the remainder of his team. Save for Linux, who he'd forgotten occupied his PokeGear rather than a traditional Pokeball.
"Let's trash these things!" his informed his team, the smirk on his face growing larger. He had the type advantage all the way and he knew it. These were all Water and Ice types.

Isamu appeared in a city surrounded by water and ice types. "Where Am I?!" He exclaimed. One of the water pokemon turned towards him and rushed at him. It was a golduck. Isamu called out Togekiss and ordered a Last Resort attack. Golduck countered with water gun, but then Togekiss used aura sphere. The golduck fained and isamu sighed. "Just what is going on here?" he said. Grovyle [F] Lv 20 HP: 150/150 Personality: A loving and trustworthy partner. She will do anything for her trainer, and for his friends, if he so commands it. Gin'iro grinned, nodding to the Charmeleon and Ninetales. The admiring look from Emiri gave his ego quite a stroke. Lifting himself a bit higher, the Ninetales set out to meet the Charmeleon and other Ninetales.
Brayden in turn, nodded to their trainer.
"Yeah, this is Gin'iro," he offered, "He's mine, as much as he probably wishes that weren't true sometimes." The Ninetales grinned.
"I'm Brayden," he offered to Emiri with a polite nod, "This is Zeke," he motioned to the Squirtle in his arms, who gave Emiri a mock salute.
Brayden watched, with a bit of suspicion, as the fossils collapsed. It didn't seem like they'd be moving any time soon. But then again, that's what he would assume about them a week or so ago if he had seen them in the museum.
Poking one cautiously with a boot, and receiving nothing more than a bit of dust on his shoe, Brayden allowed himself to relax a bit more.
That is, until he saw the hoard of water and ice types that were taking the fossils' place.
"Geez, we just don't get a break, huh?" Brayden sighed. However, a moment later, he spotted the glint of Trojana's wings up above.
He smiled, brightening a bit. Looked like reinforcements had arrived.

Charmeleon and Ninetails were pleased with the introduction of Gin'iro, Ninetails especially, as she sat elegantly in front of Gin'iro. Emiri looked to Brayden and Zeke as he gave an introduction.
"It's nice to meet you Brayden," Emiri said, smiling at Zeke in Brayden's arms.
Emiri had almost began to calm down from all the fossils, when she heard a noise like a stampede coming from up the road. Looking to the distance, Emiri could see what seemed like hundreds of water and ice type pokemon making their way through the city, making the fossils seem almost like nothing. Realizing three of her pokemon were doomed with the surrounding water pokemon, and the other two weak against ice types, Emiri quickly returned all of her pokemon to their pokeballs.

Emiri watched as the water and ice pokemon began to flood the city, almost literally. Emiri had seen all of these pokemon on her ranch, but they were never this enraged or cold. Emiri was looking around, trying to find anyone she knew, when her sight caught a Golduck, looking straight at her. Normally this wouldn't have bothered her, but the look the Golduck had in it's eyes. It was cold and unforgiving, never like she had ever seen in any pokemon. The gem on the Golduck's forehead began to shine deep red as it began to charge towards Emiri. Frozen, Emiri tried to reach for one of her pokeballs, but she couldn't focus, only keeping her eyes on the Golduck. Just as Emiri managed to look down, a strange force began to circle her. A circle of wind began to swirl around Emiri, as the amulet she had found began to glow and emmit the wind surrounding her. The Golduck stopped in it's tracks as Emiri was slightly lifted off the ground, and in a flash, she was gone.
Not knowing what to make of it, the Golduck continued its treck through the city.

Aku was suddenly alone. Emiri and Alex had disappeared after running off to fight a bunch of pokemon. He held some weird winged object that seemed to appear out of nowhere. "Where did they go...." He asked aloud as various water and ice types ran rampant in the city. "What do I do... We need to get stronger... Water and Ice aren't a great type to be up against... I wonder if there are some I can handle..." He said to himself. "I've got to get to Emiri.. she can help me..." With a flash, the winged thing in his hand teleported him away. ((Only left because in Celedon I can find two additions to my party as wild pokemon... Lolz.... Brayden was shocked to suddenly see the girl before him vanish. But in his travels he had seen weirder things. He hoped he could meet her again. If only to catch her name.
But at the time being, there appeared to be bigger problems at hand. The water and ice types were still laying waste to the already battered town. That was something Brayden was not willing to stand down on.
"Alright guys, time to get to work," he smirked, calling Meliae out. A Poliwhirl was the first to catch their attention, as Brayden motioned for the Oddish to keep it from attacking the town any further.
"Alright, use a Seed Bomb," Brayden instructed. Mel nodded, sending a blast of explosive seeds at the Poliwhirl. Brayden noted absently that he still in fact needed to catch one of these eventually. But not this one. No, this one needed to be taught a lesson in etiquette. One doesn't go around smashing towns.
The Poliwhirl turned, sending a Mud Shot at Mel, who shook off the gunk easily enough. At Brayden's request, she sent another round of explosive seeds at the Poliwhirl, effectively putting it on the defensive.
The tadpole Pokemon blasted off a Hydro Pump, dousing Meliae in a deluge. The grass type didn't really mind getting wet, but water in such excess sort of irritated her.
"One more Seed Bomb," Brayden called to his parter, who nodded, firing off one last burst. This effectively put the Poliwhirl out of commission.
"One down," Brayden murmured, "Arceus knows how many more there are to go..."

Not letting up, Brayden moved on, this time finding a Krabby, who was tearing apart the shrubbery.
Brayden decided to give him a better understanding of plantlife, sending Meliae forward again. The Oddish was gaining confidence, taking on the stronger crab without hesitation.
She knew what to do, sending forth a Seed Bomb that both injured the attacking crustacean, as well as distracted it from further destroying the landscaping. The Krabby turned, sending a Bubblebeam at its attacker, which did littler to deter Mel, who fired a Seed Bomb in retaliation. Rushing forward in a Slam, the Krabby knocked back the Oddish, but Mel wasn't out of the fight. She sent off another Seed Bomb, this time, putting the Krabby down for the count.
"Great job, Mel," Brayden smiled, as the Oddish used another Synthesis to heal her wounds. She was enjoying this so far.

Brayden knew he'd probably be better suited for helping out in Celadon than he was here. With his access to so many water types, he'd have little difficulty with them to take on the rock types that were invading the large town. Combined with Ari to take on the fighting types, and he knew it'd be smooth sailing.
But that would mean leaving Pewter, and he wasn't about to give up on the town. Not by a long shot.
So in the meantime, it gave Mel a good chance to gain experience.
A Cloyster was Brayden's next target, calling Mel to continue her Seed Bomb barrage. The Oddish did just that, as the Cloyster countered with an Aurora Beam. Mel kept up the heat, as the clamshell Pokemon retaliated with a Spike Cannon. But one more Seed Bomb from Mel, and the clam was down for the count as well.
Brayden couldn't help wonder if he was even making a dent in things.

"Alright, next target," Brayden sighed, as Mel used another Synthesis to heal up. She merely rolled her eyes. What did he have to be tired over, she was doing all the fighting...
Brayden spotted a Golduck off to the side, and looked to Mel, "Ready?"
"Dish!" Mel retorted, charging off to face off against the water duck. Apparently she was plenty ready. The Oddish fired off her trademark Seed Bomb, as the Golduck let out a surprised quack. The waterfowl was quick to counter, though. It struck back with Scratch, as Mel fired off another burst of seeds. The Golduck used a Hydro Pump, but Mel was quick to finish it off with her third Seed Bomb. Healing herself up once more, she was set for another match.
"Wish I had your stamina," Brayden sighed, following off after the brash Oddish.
"Kaya?" he called, hoping to track down the prince somewhere in town. He didn't fear for his love's safety. He knew that Kaya was probably in better strategic shape than he was when taking on water and ice types. And he had just as much experience as Bray did in tough situations like these.
"We keep finding ourselves in trouble," Brayden chuckled to himself as he tailed his Oddish.

Kaya looked around as he felt eyes on him. He knew a flying ring of thorny vines wasn't exactly subtle but it was effective at stalling. Before he had much chance to do anything else, he found himself suddenly confronted by angry Pokemon. A Dewgong and Cloyster paired up against him as he looked. "Guess it's time I test how well my new teams syncs up." He reached to his belt and threw out two Pokeballs, releasing Loki and Aoi. It had been a while since the two had worked together.
"Let's go Loki, Leaf BLade on the Cloyster!" the man called.
"Aoi, use Take Down on the Dewgong!" he requested of his other partner. Both nodded and summoned up their strength into a colossal combined attack.
The opposing Cloyster clamped it's shell shut to endure Loki's onslaught, though it did little good. The earth energy of the Sceptile's blades leeched the Pokemon's energy from it's body before it had a chance to retaliate. It never stood a chance.
Dewgong was in a better position, resisting Aoi's attack long enough to deliver a Signal Beam to Loki. Aoi delivered a second Take Down a second later, interrupting the beam before it could do much harm.

With the battle at hand diverted for the moment, the ex-prince looked around. His sight still wasn't much better than colorful blurs but the glint of light shining from within the Cloyster's shell caught his attention. He walked over and pulled whatever it was free and looked at it. "Huh...some kind of charm?" he asked as he examined it, trying to make out the funky, aquamarine-ish blur in his hand. It had an even stranger, bronze blur in the middle of it. Whatever it was, it must have had something to do with why the Pokemon had been so agitated.
He looked around once more, hoping to find the source of that feeling from before. The feeling of being watched. He knew it too well to think it was those Pokemon he'd just battled. Brayden was close by.

"I know I saw Trojana," Brayden murmured, continuing through the streets, Oddish leading the way. While him and Mel didn't seem the ideal image of toughness, he knew they could handle their own.
Apparently the wild Pokemon attacking didn't feel the same way, as a Golduck stepped forward to challenge the pair.
Mel merely smirked. Dumb bird wouldn't know what hit it.
A Seed Bomb quickly told the Golduck that Meliae meant business. While she didn't hold any particular attachment to her trainer, she was quick to want to correct anyone who assumed that she couldn't hold her own in a fight. The Golduck snarled, retorting with a Confusion. While the Psychic attack did hurt Mel a bit, she endured it easily enough, finishing the job with another Seed Bomb. She healed her injuries swiftly with a Synthesis, and trotted off with Brayden as he sought out whoever it was he was looking for.
Brayden had noticed the battle, but decided to let Mel take the initiative. She had done well enough. The Golduck had stopped its attack on Pewter at least.
It wasn't until Brayden heard another battle going on, that he started to get track of Kaya's location. He followed the noise across the street, and down another, finally catching the welcome sight of sunlight glinting off of Aoi's multicolored form. Brayden smiled, picking up the pace a bit, careful not to trip over any rubble. Zeke, who had been stuck in Bray's arms the whole time, decided that now was a good a time as any to pick up the trek on foot. The Squirtle jumped from Bray's hands to walk alongside his trainer. Mel gave the Squirtle a disdainful look, but had no further complaint to his company.
Bray waited until Kaya was finished with his battle, before he approached.
"Fancy running into you here," he dared to jest, smiling faintly. The situation was more than serious, but he couldn't help the familiar happiness that came whenever he was with Kaya.
'Sap...' was shot by Ari mentally.
